Guest Reviews
- Georgia (2/5): Maybe stay elsewhere - It’s very close to Ben than market The balcony door didn’t lock so as I was travelling on my own I felt very unsafe.
The property looks very different to the pictures - pictures are edited
The lift stops at the 8th floor and you have to walk up these extremely unsafe stairs with no railing (which is a nightmare when you have 2 suitcases)
- Hanis sofia (5/5): Great location utk shopping - Location okay, senang nk shopping mmg dekat dgn Bent tanh market, kedai halal, mlysian street. If dtg just nk shopping, hotel ni okay je….jgn expection tinggi sgt..just for tido mandi solat tu okay je..bilik oky. Ruang lobi sgt sempit dan bilik agak berhabuk.

- Sarah (3/5): en massasje salong når du går inn ikke bp onklig resepsjon - Det er ingen lobby det ser et massasje studio som resepsjon Tregt med vask å bytt av handkle når man sa i fra en vask å en bytt på 6 dager

- Adam (8/5): -
- Aleksandar (2/5): - Locattion * Lobby/Reception: The lobby is actually a foot massage parlor, which is not appropriate for a hotel environment.
* Water Issues: There was no hot water when I arrived. Later in the evening, there was no running water in the bathroom at all.
* Access & Service: Upon returning at night, the entrance was locked. The instructions I received from reception to use my room key card to open the main entrance did not work. The sign posted on the door was extremely confusing, and the assistance phone was completely unreachable. Eventually, I mannaged to open the door.
* Theft: The most serious issue occurred after check-out. I left my bag at the reception for storage, and when I picked it up, my phone charger and cable had been stolen from inside.
This hotel is unreliable, lacks basic utilities, and has serious security issues. Avoid at all costs.
- Helen (6/5): Good location but shower needs some attention. - The location is good. The water was hot. The shower was quite mouldy and small,
- Jefferson (1/5): -
- Vjatseslav (10/5): - Great location, everything is close and convenient. The room was clean and well maintained. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a massage service on the first floor, which is very convenient after a long day. I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely come back again.
- Zimbolani (1/5): Terrible - Nothing Lift to 8 th floor then steep stairs to 10 th floor carting luggage.
Dirty linen,
Shower tap broken couldn’t have a shower.
Towels were old and thin

- Muhammad (10/5): Hat is the best!! Good reception person. - Everything good. The reception person was great name is Hat. He helped me alot throughout my stay in Sazi Hotel. Everything great except the Last night of our stay, the water all of a sudden stop when bathing no water at 4am in the morning. I on the tap also no water came out only have sounds. Bidet also no water came out.
- Ben (8/5): -
- Seleha (9/5): Value for money and excellent location for shopping. - I had very pleasant stay at this hotel. The service provided by the staff (Hat) was excellent. Value for money and the location for shopping❤️The smooth check-in process. The staff named Hat made sure all our needs were taken care of.Hat also helped us to get transport to the airport.
- Jenan (7/5): - Easy for halal food n all working distance from the hotel...
HAT the reception counter so helpfull even offer us help went needed... Nothing to comment much... with the value of money dont axpect much...
Bath room shkuld have water heater will be great...
- Harith Azhan (8/5): Convenience location, very close to Ben Tanh Market and muslim friendly eateries - Strategic location for Muslim tourists None
- Khairun Nisaa (10/5): Cozy hotel, great hospitality, will definitely come again! - The location is very strategic, along Nguyen An Ninh Street/ Malaysia Street where you can easily find halal restaurant infront of the hotel and it is within walking distance to Ben Tanh, and Masjid Ar Rahim. The check in check out process was very smooth. We arrived early morning from Dalat but the hotel receptionist Hat was very helpful and allowed us to leave our luggage at the lobby, use the toilet and ironing facilities. The hotel also has closed spa for muslimah which was very convenient for me. Hat especially was very friendly towards our kids, and made our stay much more enjoyable. Nothing.
- Hjh (5/5): - For context: we are a family of 3 and we stayed at Sazi Hotel in Dec 2025 (travelled with a 2 yrs old toddler).
1. Comfort: 7/10 - We stayed at the deluxe room, it was around BND480. However, the room was quite small but we had a pleasant stay after all. (Value for money: 6/10 - passable).
2. Cleanliness: 6/10.
3. Facilities: 6/10 - We had a queen sized bed, it fits the 3 of us but they only provided us with 2 pillows - asked for 2 extra pillows but they only gave us 1. The TV has Netflix/YouTube (as long as you have an account for Netflix). 1. Room: We were given room 903. We had to go through the stairs after the 8th floor/level because the lift/elevator was only until level 8 unfortunately. We had to carry our 2 heavy luggage via stairs which was very dangerous.
2. Facilities: They did not provide iron/ironing board in each room. We had to share an iron/ironing board with others because they only prepared 1 in the lobby. Hence, you have to queue and wait for your turn in the lobby.
- Nur Syafawati (2/5): - Level 10 is only accessible via stairs from Level 8 Bedsheet and curtains are stained
- Irina240980 (10/5): - Best location Nothing
- Mohammad Jeffri (8/5): value for money & location - close to shopping & halal restaurants
- MOHD JUNAIDY (8/5): Overall is ok. Will come and stay again. - Nice hotel. Easy to find halal food, variaty of shoplot. Hotel is very near with benh tay market, shopping mall . Just walk. Overall is ok. Suit with price.😁
- Dk Ramziyah (6/5): The staff name HAT, is the reason why we didnt move to another hotel. He is so helpful and nice! If you looking for perf - If you looking for perfect location to shop at the malaysian street or ben thanh market, this is the best place. But if you are looking for a lesure nope this this doesnt suits you. 1) The enterance . Where we have to past by foot massage spa every time we wanted to come in the hotel.
2) Stairs. We have to climb up the stairs after going up by lift. With all the shoppings bag and luagge it is so tiring.
- Muhammad Sukhry (8/5): -
- Mohd Hanaffi (9/5): Excellent - Great place.. school holiday the street crowdy with people but sazi hotel great.. Have massage and each time i come back to hotel can have great foot massgae.. the crew is good the man with black shirt
- Orlando (8/5): Clean, comfortable, and friendly staff - Clean and friendly staff Nothing
- Hang (2/5): - Old and smells.
- Ajith Thomas (10/5): -
- YUHAO (3/5): 只有地理位置好 - 地理位置佳 牆壁髒
床單被子髒 潮濕
有螞蟻
房間不大 整潔度不像照片
- socheata (6/5): -
- Zakaria (8/5): Hotel of choice - HCM - Great location.
Helpful staff especially Hat. The lift only up to 8th floor. It would be great if it is still 9th floor
- Chik (7/5): - The rooms are big.
Many halal food along the street. The massage area along the entrance.
- Tuan Muhammad Dhiyaulfarhan (10/5): - Near to Ben Thanh Market. Nice night view of shops alongside the street. Easy access to shops and restaurants nearby.
- Nurul Farhana (1/5): My piece of advice: for all the ladies out there, avoid this hotel at all costs. - The location is good as it is located near Ben Thant hotel and Malaysian street. "Huh, where do I even start?
First, the lobby itself does not look like what’s shown in the pictures. They’re actually sharing the hotel lobby with a massage/spa center. So, you’ll pass some massage chairs first before even reaching the reception.
You might think, “Oh, that’s fine.” Yeah, that’s what I thought too — at first. But hold that thought.
On the very first night of our stay, a drunk man started kicking our hotel room door. Mind you, it was very loud and aggressive. We didn’t open the door during the first round — because what if he had a gun or knife, right?
Thankfully, there was a guest next door who confronted the drunk man and went down to reception to get help.
Here’s the shocking part: the drunk man managed to convince a lady at the spa to give him the master key to our room. He came back for a second round — this time, kicking the door even harder while shouting.
Then the spa lady came and opened our door — only then did they realize they had opened the wrong room. I was shaking and traumatized by the whole situation.
THE MAIN ISSUE HERE IS - Why didn’t she check with reception which room the drunk man was in? And more importantly, how could they trust a drunk person without cross checking with reception?
The next morning, we checked out immediately and requested a refund for the remaining nights. As expected, the hotel management refused to take responsibility. They said it wasn’t their fault and the “best they could do” was return our deposit.
- Caitlyn (6/5): Lovely staff, noisy hotel - The receptionist Hat was very helpful and lovely, the bed was comfortable and the room itself was nice like in the photos. The noise from the nightclub close by started at 9pm and ended at 4am. The hotel is not soundproof at all so you can hear everything. We barely slept as a result. The massage palor where the hotel reception is, is also a bit strange, you have to walk through it to get to reception. It took away from it being a relaxing experience as we were harrased for a massage every time we came back. Also the room we were in was on the 10th floor and the lift only went to the 8th floor so we had to carry our bags up 4 flights of stairs, with the last 2 flights being quite steep. The room we were in was next to a computer server room which was also very loud. It's a shame because it would be a great hotel otherwise.
- Zimah (3/5): Overall, while the location and staff (especially Hat) were good, the experience was marred by poor infrastructure, lack - We stayed at this hotel for a few nights and had a rather mixed experience.
The Positives:
• The room itself was nice and comfortable, no complaints there.
• The location is very strategic, within walking distance to many places.
• One big plus: there are plenty of halal restaurants right outside the hotel, which was extremely convenient for us. The Negatives:
• Upon arrival, we were quite taken aback as the hotel lobby had been turned into a massage space,l.
• We were also charged an additional 3% fee for using a debit/credit card, something that was not stated in the booking description.
• Our room was located on the 10th floor, but the lift only goes up to the 8th. This meant we had to climb narrow, steep stairs — not ideal when you’re lugging heavy suitcases, and there was no bellboy to assist.
• On the second last night, we were shocked to hear rattling noises in the room — mice (plural!) in the middle of the night. Thankfully, Hat (the receptionist) was very responsive and helped us move to a different room immediately.
• However, we had to downgrade from an apartment to a standard double room and were only refunded about 200,000+ VND (~SGD10) for our 2-NIGHTS DOWNGRADED ROOM. At that point, we were just too exhausted to argue.
• To top it all off, on check-out day, the lift broke down, even after informing the reception we’d be checking out before 11am. So.. we had to carry all our luggage down via the narrow stairs again (WITH OBSTRUCTIONS OF THE MANY MANY BOXES AND HOUSEKEEPING ITEMS).
- Noorazwana (9/5): Superb -
- Daquiz (10/5): Exceptional - Son hat is very accomodating and helpful to us during our stay..highly recommended..
- Amalina (9/5): Superb -
- Mohamad (7/5): Good - Good location for shopping & dine.
- Muhammad (7/5): Good -
- Najiah (2/5): Very poor - in the middle of the city. one of the staff is quite rude. Keep projecting I'm at fault.
- Irina240980 (10/5): Best stay in Ben Thanh area. - Everything was great. The location, value for money. The staff, Mr Hat was very attentive, friendly and helpful. He help us in everything that we need. We 're definitely staying again in Sazi Hotel whenever we visit HCM again. ☺️ Nothing
- Zakaria (8/5): Staff very friendly and helpful - thank you Mr Hat - front officer - Got bidet Nil
- Sarah (5/5): It was a bed, we endured. - I liked how close it was to the market in district one It was dirty, like just so grimy, walls floors, shower all so dirty. The place had a smell to it and it was questionable.
There was a massage shop on the ground floor and staff peddling their talents out the front.
The elevator only went to the 8th floor and we had paid for the best room in the building (I shudder to imagine what was the standard room) and after the 8th floor you had to climb some very steep dangerous steps to the 10th floor all while dragging your luggage. My husband called them the stairs of death, they were certainly not code.
What can I say photos lie!
That bath is not even properly secured to the floor and the wall along side isn’t even a wet wall.
- Sabina (8/5): Great Value for Money, comfortable Stay - The room was very big and spacious, with a kitchenette, free standing bath and big shower, the bed was also very comfortable.
Aircon worked great there was 2 one in main living and one in the bedroom, There was something that had wear and tear but overall clean, right at the lobby they have massage parlor, and the girls were really good.
Best of all is the location so close to everything, we walked to the main party area took about 10-15 minutes and also Ben thanh market is like 150m down the road. The room was on the top most floor which would of been absolutely no issues if the lift went up to the 10th floor,.but it only goes to 8 then you have some super super Streep and narrow stairs to climb to get to the room, and we were offered no help with our luggage, my partner was wrecked getting it all up there
and I wouldn't of been able to do that myself.
- Ms. (8/5): Very good - everything nothing
- Mohd (9/5): Superb - Easy and close with attraction area Housekeeping need to improve
- Honeyta (7/5): For the price Im paying, its worrh the stay.i would also like to have a special mention to Ms Aleia and Hat - The location The toilet floor is wet because the shower has no cover
- Mr (1/5): Bad - The worse ever hotel I stayed!!! It's dirty n smell very bad!!!!!
- Dr. (6/5): Pleasant -
- David (7/5): Good - Best thing about this hotel is the location. Slightly on the louder side but it’s literally outside Ben Thanh market
- Pete (5/5): Passable - Good location in heart of district 1, very neat Ben Than Market. Room was not very clean, especially bathroom floor - filthy.
Decent size room but no windows.
- Mr (6/5): Pleasant -
- George (7/5): Value for money stay in the heart of Ben Thanh. - Fantastic location that is walking distance from loads of great tourist sites and minutes from the Ben Thanh market.
Very affordable and whilst it was basic, it was a comfortable stay. Although listed as 24 hour reception, that’s not the case. It can be noisy and bright on the street, but that usually ends about midnight. Not a problem for us, but could be for others. No safe in the room and no room make up / fresh towels each day.
- Zinnura'ain (10/5): Near to everything - I had an excellent stay at Sazi Ben Thanh Hotel! I booked a spacious room with an amazing bathtub, which was perfect for unwinding after a long day exploring Ho Chi Minh City. However, do note that this room is located on Level 10, and since the lift only goes up to Level 8, guests need to use a narrow staircase to reach it. This might not be ideal for elderly guests but is perfect for young couples looking for a cozy and private stay.
I also booked another room for my parents, and they were very comfortable throughout our stay.
The biggest highlight of this hotel is its prime location—just a 3-minute walk to the famous Ben Thanh Market. It’s incredibly convenient for shopping and sightseeing, and there are plenty of halal food options right outside, which was a huge plus!
A special thanks to Hat, a staff member who provided outstanding service. He was warm, welcoming, and fluent in English, making communication effortless. His assistance truly made our stay even more enjoyable.
Overall, I highly recommend Sazi Ben Thanh Hotel for anyone looking for a comfortable, well-located, and guest-friendly stay in Ho Chi Minh City. Would definitely stay here again!
- Lee (8/5): Very good - Ok for the price but not ok with the mould in the bathroom. Bedroom was clean and spacious. Unfortunately that there was no safe. Staff were very helpful and accommodating No safe in the room.
- Elena (3/5): Poor - Location Very different from pictures. Shower and bathroom in general was mouldy. Room ceiling was full of dirt and small eggs and bugs.
- Karen (6/5): Cheap hotel in good area but beware of the pictures not reflecting the true picture. - Good location and cheap price. Hotel in ‘Halal Street’. Lots of travellers from Malaysia. Honest money changer at end of street. Photos didn’t quite match the venue. We had a room with no windows. It was clean. Bed was comfortable and ac worked well. But it was quite worn out. Also advertised as 24 hr reception but due to plane delay we arrived and place was shut. Luckily had another guest let us in.
- Obed (7/5): Good -
- Hjh (9/5): Overall excellent to stay in - Location to find food near the hotel No iron in the room, dont like to iron outside the room
- Norbanu (8/5): Happy and will return again - The Best Location for Muslim Traveller to get Halal Food as Halal food is so difficult in Vietnam generally. this is my second stay in Sazi Hotel Ben Thanh. The staff named Hat was very helpful from the time I check in and thru out the stay till our Check out. he has been helping with no water heater, no Aircon matter in a split second. We even called him for housekeeping matter and he managed to get all done before we return from our tour. he has made our stay a pleasant one. The elevator can only accomodate 2pax and we travelled with 12pax. Wasting alot of time in waiting for elevator. And lobby is too small with little seats due to half occupied by massage area.
- Chua (1/5): It was a very bad experience. Very poor customer service especially with no security regarding check-ins because our roo - The place was clean and the staff was friendly. First of all, we were given self check-in but our room was given to another person without prior notice so we had to stay in a different room. Second, our belongings were removed from our room the following day without informing us because they mistakenly thought our booking was only for a day even though we booked for 4 days. They didn’t even apologize properly nor compensated us for poor customer service.
- Amy (8/5): Very good -
- Azean (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kak (9/5): Superb -
- Naimah (9/5): Superb - The location is superb! Iron was not provided in the room.
- Erbol (7/5): Good - Location, affordable price, and enough space Noisy, it comes from the outside. Located in the market . The elevator is available up to the 8th floor. There are 10 floors
- Sarah (7/5): Good - Good location, the beds were ok, it was clean. Good for a short stay. No windows
- Antonio (1/5): this was a very bad experience, we would not be staying at this hotel in the future. - the staff would order taxis for us, when asked. the cleanliness of the rooms was lacking there were ants everywhere, everything was stained, including the bedsheet, pillows and blankets. the bathroom also had black mould. the images of the rooms on the website, were extremely misleading. there was no toilet paper in one of the rooms. the elevator would only go up to the 8th floor, and really narrow, steep and shady stairs would need to be taken to the 10th floor. the rooms were also very small and was not worth the price.
- Masud (1/5): Bad hotel - Nothing Too dirty.
- Muhammad (10/5): Exceptional -
- Haslinda (7/5): Good -
- Emidio (7/5): I would choose another hotel next time - Good location easy excess to all amenities and entertainment. The room was on the 10th floor however the elevator only serviced as far as the 8th floor.
This meant a walk up the next two floors via a narrow steep staircase.
This should be disclosed to customers at time of booking before arriving, so customers can make an informative decision.
- Dhruba (7/5): Good -
- Anna (5/5): Great if anyone wants to shop and eat at district 1. Otherwise, there are better hotels in otger districts at the aame r - Its at Malaysian street , District 1. Not great as we need to inform them before 11am to clean room and I always not in time. Aircon was not working on the last night of our stay and 12 midnight, hotel staff have left. We were left with no aircon and sleeping in hot condition as aircon remote control was not working. We could not switch on the aircon. We message and whatsapp at 12.49am, nobody replied. Laundry also need to give before 11am. Staff are friendly but felt service could be better!
- Muhammad (10/5): Perfect - Everything perfect, room very clean, and location very near with shop lot. Also so can rent motorbikes with hotel. Hotel staff very friendly 👌 Everything perfect!
- Maria (8/5): Very good -
- Cailey (6/5): Pleasant - Location was good enough. Not great for value of money however we thought it was quite expensive Too expensive
- Jambaldorj (4/5): Disappointing -

- Farah (5/5): Passable -
- Muzakhir (9/5): Superb -

- Fayros (2/5): Overall okay - Near halal foods and shops Small lift and level 9 & 10 both didnt have lift and stairs very narrow.
- Markus (8/5): Very good - It's a good location and I would book it againe for this price
- Karen (7/5): Good -
- Pannerselvam (2/5): Disappointed - No breakfast. I got the 10 floor apartment but there is no lift service from 8th floor onwards. In all the hotel should not be in booking.com . If booking. com wants to maintain a good standard.
- Nur (8/5): Good near to malaysian street - comfortable room The elevator was so small. Can only fit up to 2 people at one time.
- Nolihayati (10/5): Very2 good - LOcation Room service
- Azrul (7/5): Pleasant stay - Conveniently located to where i am heading The lift runs until 8th floor. Stayed atthr tenth floor. Had to carry 2 suitcases across 2 flights of stairs to reach my room. Pro tip: take the normal rooms located from floor 8 and below for easy access
