The welcome is incredibly warm, and the entire team is always smiling, caring, and attentive, with many thoughtful little touches that truly make a difference. The hotel is perfectly located right in the heart of Hanoi, with countless restaurants, shops, and attractions just a short walk away. Everything is ideally situated to fully enjoy the city. We truly loved our time here and would be delighted to stay again on our next visit to Hanoi.

Jennifer (9/5): A very comfortable hotel in a great central location in Hanoi. - The hotel was a very warm and welcoming place. The staff were extremely friendly especially those in the breakfast room. We were also very appreciative of their ability to look after our luggage while we visited Halong Bay. The rooms were comfortable with all the required facilities, comfortable beds and plenty of room. Be aware that some of the rooms have a shower/bath setup.

The hotel is comfortable and cozy and a great deal for the money I wish I could have had chance to choose one vig bed option instead of twin beds, but this is personal case.

De locatie is supercentraal en je hebt een geweldig uitzicht op de kathedraal. Wat geweldig is: bij de incheck vroegen ze of we allergieen of dieetwensen hadden. Aangezien ik vegetarisch eet gaf ik dat door. Toen ik de volgende dag ging ontbijten kwam Emily meteen naar mij toe om de vegetarische kaart toe te lichten en aan te geven welk eten vegetarisch was, echt top! We hebben ook massages gehad, die waren ook super! Er waren geen ramen in de kamer, maar dat was vooraf bij ons bekend maar let op als je wel ramen op jouw kamer wil dat je een kamer boekt met ramen!

We appreciated the excellent air con and pool as it was very hot during our stay. Breakfast each morning was fab, and we made good use of the rooftop bar too. The staff were friendly and always willing to help with anything I needed, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The location is excellent, making it easy to get around and explore the area. Breakfast was also very good, with a nice variety of options to start the day. Overall, a great choice and I would happily stay here again. I missed having an espresso machine in the room

We book late so took the last room without real window, it makes the experience a bit strange but actually we are not often in the room during the day, so it’s ok (and actually very calm)

W1585PSbeverleyb (10/5): An excellent hotel that we would visit again - Our family of three had a wonderful stay at Hotel du Lac. All the staff were incredibly helpful, kind and professional and made us feel welcome and comfortable from our arrival until departure. They were also incredibly helpful when two of our suitcases broke! Communication with the hotel was easy and responsive and they were able to organise a wonderful tour for us and recommend an excellent laundry service that collected, washed and delivered our clothes for an excellent price. The Swedish massage at the hotel was wonderful, relaxing and reasonably priced. The hotel rooms were a good size, clean, and the beds and pillows comfortable. Although the hotel was in a busy location, the rooms were very quiet and we couldn’t hear any street noise. The buffet breakfast was delicious and had various western and Vietnamese options on the menu. Staff in the restaurant were also lovely. The rooftop pool was a relief on hot days. The location was within walking distance to major attractions, restaurants and gift shops. We would definitely stay here again.

Nicolas (9/5): - La gentillesse du personnel en particulier de Quan à l’accueil, des portiers, des hôtesses et du manager M. Jack. Arrivés de notre vol très tôt le matin, on nous a tout de suite proposé de prendre une douche avant que la chambre soit prête. Le petit déjeuner était excellent, des produits frais, variés, dans une belle salle avec une vue imprenable sur la cathédrale. Malgré une petite appréhension dans une chambre sans fenêtre extérieure, son confort et son espace compensent parfaitement, l’éclairage indirect est bien pensé et travaillé. L’ensemble de la décoration de l’hôtel est réussie. Le rooftop est très agréable. Enfin la localisation est idéale, à proximité immédiate du Old Quarter tout en étant à un niveau de la rue sans trop d’agitation. Transfert proposé de l’aéroport cher, il vaut mieux passer par Grab.
Gwen (10/5): Ein Traum - Wir waren mehr als zufrieden mit diesem Hotel. Das Personal war außergewöhnlich freundlich und zuvorkommend. Es hat sich wirklich um alles gekümmert und uns bei jeder Anfrage unterstützt – egal, ob etwas organisiert oder besorgt werden musste. Beim Einchecken haben wir direkt eine Karte erhalten und es wurde uns ausführlich erklärt, wo sich alles befindet. Das war sehr hilfreich und ein toller Start in den Aufenthalt. Das Frühstück war einfach fabelhaft und sehr lecker. Es gab jeden Tag abwechslungsreiche Speisen sowie frische Säfte – wirklich ein Highlight. Auch der Pool war bei den warmen Temperaturen draußen sehr angenehm und eine perfekte Möglichkeit, sich zu entspannen. Unser Zimmer war ebenfalls super: sehr sauber, ordentlich und ruhig. Die Klimaanlage hat gut funktioniert und war dabei nicht zu laut. Vom Verkehr draußen hat man überhaupt nichts mitbekommen. Die Lage des Hotels ist ebenfalls top. Viele Geschäfte sind in der Nähe und der See ist nur etwa 5 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt. Auch die Stadt bzw. das Old Quarter, wo mehr los ist, ist schnell erreichbar. Insgesamt sind wir mit dem Hotel mehr als zufrieden. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und würden jederzeit wiederkommen. -

Well lit, well staffed, cozy room, hospitality plus whether from the front desk, the breakfast and dinner staff or the rooftop bar. The food was beautifully presented and delicious. Wine selection was excellent. They pay attention to detail. I love that there is a grand piano and stylish pieces of furniture in the lobby. They were also communicative throughout the visit, and helped with safely boarding the grab taxis. I left early in the morning and they prepared a take away bento. Super! Just the pros and cons of being on a very busy street in the Old Quarter. It is a good location but there is lots of traffic.
