• Falk Birn (2/5): - Vi kan desværre ikke anbefale dette hotel. På deres hjemmeside står der, at man kan tjekke ind kl. 13:30, men i virkeligheden er det først kl. 14:30. Vi ankom meget tidligt om morgenen og spurgte i receptionen, om der var mulighed for at få et værelse tidligere, men receptionisten grinte bare og sagde nej og at vi kunne stille vores ting og komme tilbage senere. Det virkede ret uprofessionelt. Vi kom derfor tilbage kl. 13:30, som der ellers står på deres hjemmeside, men der fik vi så at vide, at værelset først ville være gjort rent kl. 14. Der var altså allerede der forvirring omkring deres egne check-in tider. Da vi bookede opholdet, kunne vi ikke betale online, så vi skulle betale ved ankomst. Da vi så skulle betale, fik vi at vide, at man hverken kunne betale med kort eller i en anden valuta – de ville kun have kontanter i lokal valuta. Det virkede ærligt talt lidt mærkeligt. Vi aftalte derfor med dem, at vi kunne betale aftenen efter. Alligevel kom der i løbet af det næste døgn to forskellige medarbejdere op til vores værelse og spurgte, hvornår vi ville betale. Det virkede som om personalet slet ikke taler sammen, og samtidig taler de stort set heller ikke engelsk, så det var meget svært at kommunikere. Den næste dag blev vores værelse heller ikke gjort rent, og vi måtte selv gå ned i receptionen og bede om rene håndklæder. Generelt virkede personalet slet ikke servicemindede, og hotellet fremstod uorganiseret. Alt i alt en ret skuffende oplevelse.

• tim (3/5): You will not get what you ordered - nothing arrived and was informed our room broken, so they walked us over to sister hotel. Lower priced room, no window, no hot water, stinks. They said we not have window room even though they showed picture of our selection with window. When, a booking.com hotel allows such hotel to trick customer not only shameful for booking but hotel should not be allowed to use booking hotel.com. Really, sick of booking.com allowing such dishonest tactics. Breakfast free not too bad but service sucked. after long flight hotels know its easy to just break down customer from searching for new room. Location right in middle of red zone. Avoid this hotel or its sister hotel.
• Fu (3/5): - 我预定了房间，但是入住时并没有房间给我，前台要求我取消订单，因为有信用卡预授权，所以我申请了免费取消，但是酒店一直不接受我的申请，反而把我标记为no-show，虽然最后并没有扣款，但这是不诚实的做法。
• Andrey (6/5): - Это центр, расположение удобное. Постельное белье странное. Персонал вполне приветлив. МАКСИМАЛЬНО ШУМНО! Я спросил персонал будет ли шумно? Мне ответили нет, мы дали вам тихий номер. Это было не правдой. Номера, окна которых выходят на улицу, априори не могут быть тихими. Там бурлит ночная жизнь как минимум до 2х часов. Стеклопакеты понарошечные. Короче спать очень тяжело . Ещё минус - душ в номере не удобный . Кондиционер внутри чёрный от грязи и плесени .

• Warwick (8/5): Great hotel - The hotel is a comfortable place right next to Saigon's main nightclub street. I stayed there for three weeks, & it was convenient to where I wanted to go. Would stay there again! There is a craft brewery across the road, live music up the street, & some good bars. The hotel restaurant is across the road, & serves good meals.

• Deepak (6/5): - The room was ok but very basic looking. Not a big fan of the shower being very close to the toilet. They would only provide very small bottles of shower gel. When I asked for more they only gave one more. They tried to give a reason why only one but due to language barrier I couldn't understand. The breakfast was tasty but it only consisted of one meal and one drink (not good if you need lots of caffeine in the morning). Much prefer a buffet. No views of the city. The staff were nice and I paid a little extra to check out at 6pm which was very helpful. The main reason to stay here is the location. It has many bars, restaurants and shops very close by.

• Gary (8/5): - Honestly if you’re looking for something inexpensive and right in the action here you go. The rice hotel is has everything you need for a great price. The room is roomy, bed is comfy, bathroom has hot water, and also the air conditioning works fine. It doesn’t have an elevator, the room is kinda dated, there’s no full length mirror and bathroom doesn’t have much light. If you want to live a bit like the locals this is the hotel for you.

• Trine (8/5): - Lovely place to stay and it was very central. That said, because it was so central to the nightlife you could also hear the street life until late. Overall I would recommend staying here but just be aware of the noise late at night.
• Sally (10/5): - The Fo e whites was very efficient accomodating and affordable for a large family of adults. We had 2 rooms and they managed to accommodate putting us on the same floor and let us check out late for absolutely nothing. A bit outdated but very clean and housekeeping everyday. They don’t have a lift but they will take your luggage up with you and this was no inconvenience with 5 large suitcases so don’t let it put you of. It’s right in the heart of everything and very convenient and safe for young adults to walk around at night. Also managed to get a piercing and a couple of small tattoos while visiting. Fantastic area to base yourself and Grab transport car/bikes are ridiculously cheap. I suggest while in Vietnam you also get yourself a local Esim(IPhone 12 and higher only) and for 10 days we laid 12 AUD which is so cheap and the reception in villages was amazing. We were originally data roaming internationally with service providers back home for ridiculous amount and swapped half way in as other kids got them and we had no reception and had to hotspot of their ESIM. The tour place basically next door to The Rice hotel will set up and supply them and also have fantastically priced tours. We had an amazing tour guide and a great time to Mekong Delta cruise. Enjoy your stay here as well worth it and would stay again.

• Pierre (8/5): - Staff was really helpful and large clean room. People have commented on the lack of elevator already (there is one for luggage). It is adjacent to a very busy, touristy street, crowded until late in the night. So if you are looking to sleep early, go somewhere else or bring ear plugs. As an FYI, breakfast is 50 meters away (no big deal) and takes ~30 minutes between ordering and eating so factor that in if you have a tour scheduled.

But then we were directed to another building about 2 blocks away. Breakfast is served at a nearby restaurant (I think also operated by the hotel)... but is not available inside the hotel building, even though they do have a restaurant in the hotel.

I ended up paying for additional room and the additional room was had Queen & twin. If we were given the second room at first, we would have not gotten another room. • 聖雯 (9/5): Superb - The location is very convenient to popular places for just 10 minutes walk. There're a lot of bus routes passing by just outside the lane. I booked a few day tours, although it is not possible for the tour bus to pick me up in front of the hotel(bus is unable to come in due to the small lane), the alternative meeting points are both very close. My booking includes breakfast, which has Vietnamese and Western style choices, and they are all very delicious. the room is usually quiet, but it is located beside the stairs. the stepping noise can be heard inside the room if someone is using the stairs. not happening very frequently, though.
• Victoria (10/5): Exceptional - The location was perfect, restaurants and bars everywhere as well as a convenience store right across the street. Despite the clubs a little further down the bui vien walking street, it was fairly quiet! A good nights sleep every night. The staff was very accommodating, and the breakfast was good. The room was very clean as well. Will be booking here again! There is no elevator, thus walking up to the fourth floor can be a bit tiring but there is a lift for luggage!

Be also aware you do hear street noise despite other reviews especially bands but they finish at a reasonable hour for the CBD. No good for light sleepers but we found it fine.

• David (10/5): - I absolutely LOVED my stay at this hotel. ALL of the staff were incredibly nice and helpful. Every time I would pass thru the lobby, the staff would ask me if there was anything I needed…every single time. It is a small older hotel that is similar to those around. The carpet on the stairs and hallways is a bit warn. But as soon as you enter your room, the bed sheets, comforter, pillows, and towels are extremely white and clean. You are 1/2 block away from Bui Vien Street, so of course you are going to hear music until late at night, that is just common sense. But that didn’t seem to bother me at all. The breakfast is served at an actual restaurant on the corner of a busy intersection about 1 minute walk from the hotel. The breakfast is ordered off a menu and it’s nice to sit and people watch as you’re eating. I had my laundry done at a place about a minutes walk from the hotel. Also took a bus to a beach and that was only about a 5 minute walk to where I was picked up. The location is perfect. I normally don’t spend much time at all in hotel rooms, so it was perfect for me. I would absolutely stay there again. You just can’t beat the price.

• Tiana (3/5): Would not stay here again even though cheap. - Walking distance to markets and Main Street. Our room was clean unlike our friends. Our friends room smelt like cigarette smoke even though it was a no smoking room. Staff just sprayed air freshener to the room and said it was fixed which did not help. The Rice Hotel refused to refund when my friends did not want to stay in the room. Hallways are dingy and stink if smoke.

At check in they also upgrade us to a deluxe, a big room and clean. Breakfast was included in a nearby restaurant. It is really close to the most noisy road of Saigon, but in the room is fine, you don't hear anything. There is no elevator, but there is a small one for the luggage so is fine.

• Jamie (8/5): Perfect for what we needed, 2 night stay before heading north - Very clean, comfortable beds, mini fridge with drinks provided (2 waters a day free then mini bar) If you are young and enjoy the hustle and bustle of walking street i.ê the noise from the bars (very loud music all night) then it’s perfect otherwise sleeping is not easy. Maybe ask for a room on the alley side would be quieter.

• BENNY (6/5): - Staff were very kind, courteous, and helpful. No elevator. Steep stairs to go up & down. Not good for elderly. "Open" shower area; no curtains. Everything gets wet: bathroom floor and toilet. Lots of restaurants around the hotel area. Approx 1/2 mile walk to the market place.

• Jeevan (10/5): This place is truly a gem. Anyone going to Ho Chi Minh and looking for great value accommodation should try this place o - The service was exceptional. Breakfast was good. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Location was very convenient. No lift.
