Guest Reviews
- Sharon (8/5): - Tram was very responsive. Really is a lovely Japanese style apartment. For me I had to sleep in a fold out bed do stairs. I climber the stairs twice. But that was it for me. And the futon mattress on the floor was liking sleeping on concrete. I just couldn’t. Sleeping downstairs on a fold out bed was ok for me The beds. The steps up to the bedrooms

- Joyce (9/5): Pleasant stay! - Apartment is very convenient to road, have nearby mall & food places. Taxi/grab are able to reach direct. Spacious and clean. there is no staff at lobby but was able to reply fast and promptly. Worth the money, valuable for stay! Wifi provided kinda lag & sometimes disconnect. Bring own if you can. Before we enter the house has quite a few mosquitoes, probably because previous stay open the windows/doors - Suggest to put electric fly killer machine.
- Christopher (10/5): Great location for local amenities and for getting into city. Very beautiful room with great washing machine! - Excellent staff and very accommodating to needs and for payment. Great location very near a Fujimart and 30 mins from old quarter. Would recommend for the Japanese style bedrooms, but staircase somewhat steep. Great place overall!
- Wojtek (10/5): Exceptional -
- Matt (6/5): Damp and dark but passable if you're out most of the day (room A1) - Spacious apartment, easy check in, friendly host and great communication, a few places to work from, good WiFi, good location, quiet, airport pick-up We stayed in A1 which was a basement so the whole place was damp and dark. There's no natural light at all so you need the lights on during the day. There was mould in the spare bedroom. We washed our clothes and they just didn't dry at all and stunk of damp afterwards, though the host tells me this is because we went during the humid season.
It was so damp that the zips on my backpack actually rusted and I had to throw it away because they didn't open anymore. I also had a few USB cables that also rusted in just under a week.
The kitchen space is nice but we had to request cutlery as there was none included originally. They did bring it quickly though. There's also only one bowl and no chopping board.
It's a shame really as the actual layout of the apartment is quite nice and the shower was good. I would only really recommend people stay here if they're going to be out most of the day visiting attractions. We were working so we were in the apartment a lot which wasn't great during the day.
Luckily they change the towels every day otherwise they just would never dry. If you have laundry, try hanging it on the roof instead of the patio area as it will get more light up there.
- Marina (10/5): Lovely, with everything you need - Clean, big, with everything you need, including netflix and wash/dry machine.
Lovely apartment, we enjoyed our stay.
Just if it is dificult for you, they have stairs , also in apartment, and in the bedroom it is a big mattress, no standard bed, bu we slept very good, for us was ok.
- Lilla (10/5): Great option if you are looking for a quiet, comfortable stay - Everyone raves about the Old Quarter, but I honestly wouldn’t stay there as it is too loud and hectic. Casa Amarilla is just a 2-3 euro Grab ride away from the main sights, but it is quiet, a safe heaven with a cute design and great cleanliness. Just around the corner, there is a mall with well known brands if you need anything. The owner, Chris, was very nice—he helped us exchange money and was always very responsive. We had no issues
- Bungey (10/5): Exceptional - Great Apartment, very clean and nice owner. Helped us out with staying extra nights and parking. Recommend 👍
- Alessandro (10/5): The first place I would check whenever would go back to Hanoi! - Amazing place to stay.... highly recommended!!
Definitely worth every single penny!!
- Kirsten (8/5): Very good - The pool and room were cosy and cool. the breakfast was a bonus and tasty :) The bathroom and shower were nice. Best shower pressure I had my whole trip.
- Alessandro (9/5): Such an amazing surprise and place to stay!! - Very stylish, comfortable, good location and great value for money.
Very helpful owner and easy instructions to get in.
Definitely worth every penny and will be my first choice in Hanoi.
The only thing i would change would be the pillows…. I know I am very picky with that but they are too high for my taste.
For all the rest … enjoy your stay! Sleeping pillows 🤭😂
- Anthony (4/5): Disappointing - The bed, bedding and pillows were comfortable. The apartment was spacious. The host was communicable. The apartment (A3) has clearly suffered from a massive water leak at some point. There was water damage throughout the apartment, and it smelt of damp. There was also mould on the crockery and the cupboards also smelt of mould.
The apartment is poorly designed, with the shower being directly behind the bathroom door, which meant the entrance to the bathroom would end up soaking wet despite using a bath mat. There was also a window that faced into the public stairwell, which meant anyone could see in (there was no blind).
The rear of the apartment faced into a sort of shanty town, and we would often find the apartment overwhelmed with an unpleasant sweet, meaty smell, despite us keeping the windows closed the entire time.
I would not advise staying here unless you're on a budget. I think the pictures were taken immediately after the property was built, and they no longer reflect the current condition of it.
- Alexis (10/5): Nice looking flat - good as the pictures - The design in Japanese style is amazing ! Good location with luxury restaurants arround and nice restaurants options Communication around the payment method not very convenient / easy.
- Winstonhl (8/5): Most suitable for climbers. - Clean n new plus located outside busy Hanoi
Several local street eateries n sit-in restaurants around.
Well equipped with modern amenities except for absence of kitchen cloth towel or paper towels. Reminded me of Amalfi n Puglia, Italy “climbing” to apartment with luggages. No lift. Room was on 4th floor n with 20kg bags of winter clothes ( we were in cold Sapa before Hanoi ) , it was a challenge lugging the bags up. No mention of 4th floor room with no lift in the booking section. And bedrooms are another mezzanine floor up steep ladder inside the apartment. Japanese floor beds ie need to do judo rolls to get up. 🤣
We booked apartment specifically for 2 bedrooms but only 1 bed was set up. Agent/owner said they’d only make up 2nd bed upon request. Huh ??
Kitchen has no cloth towel or tissues to wipe off wet sink n table top. Think agent/owner/property is new so probably many aspects are still in learning work-in-progress state. If one requests, am sure they will attend to request. We stayed 2 nights n with 1 full day out away in Ninh Binh we made do with minimalist set up ie didn’t want to bother them.
- Liminns (8/5): Good and comfortable stay! Very pretty place (: - Very comfortable apartment, had everything that we needed. Location was good as it was not near to the central area of Hanoi, so it was quieter, but there was still food etc nearby the apartment. Apartment looked exactly like what the photos provided. The steps up to the loft were a bit steep so it felt a bit scary, especially when coming down. Just need to take extra care.
Would be good if there were some shelving near the sink in the toilet to place our personal amenities.
- Mike (9/5): Superb - Super nice how it looked! Great location and entrance There was a kitchen, however not enough kitchen gear. I would stack the kitchen a bit more. The running device was place weird, no need for that to be there
- Kyle (7/5): Beautiful Design with numerous issues - Considering the cheap price, I am fine with the stay. The apartment has a beautiful modern unique loft design with a huge skylight and tree. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The chairs and TV were sufficient. The stovetop worked to cook. The apartment was mostly clean minus the below. The location is solid right next to a market, mall, and park with running path. A huge quantity of minor issues that all could be fixed. I would not stay again unless they were. Bedroom is odd with dim light and matress on floor, can't open the cabinets there's so little room, no place to put phone etc. It got annoying right away going up and down the steep ladder. The AC leaked constantly all over the living room floor leading to what seemed to be black mold. There was also mold and rotten wood next to the shower. There was no sound insulation whatsoever so you can hear all horns. The blinds do not block any light so hope you want to wake up with the sun. The kitchen was poorly equipped for longer than a couple day stay. There was no soap or place to put things by the sink. Several lights were broken and not fixed despite me reporting them. I am 99% sure that I was given fake bottled (tap) water daily so had to go buy water from the store. The alley is poorly lit at night and I almost stepped on a rat so I'd advise installing another light.
- Gabriël (10/5): cute apartment - the appartment is very cosy and warm. Japanese style all the way! The bathroom is beautiful! i would def. come back to this place! nothing
- Ana (9/5): Superb -
- Iris (10/5): Exceptional -
- François (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tan (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent location very nice interior design with sufficient facilities. The owner is very friendly and helpful was able to accommodate our last minute requests!
- Marc (8/5): Very good -
- Rushil (10/5): Exceptional -
- Minh (9/5): Amazing - Architecture design is pretty impressive. The whole area is a pleasant and peaceful area to relax. Staffs are amazing and really helpful Sometimes, the TV and internet connection can be a bit unreliable. On a lighter note, the cleaning staff surprised me by arriving in the room 30 minutes before check-out, while I was walking out of the bathroom and did not prepare for a guest 😅
- Nghiem (9/5): Amazing - Excellent location, very unique design and decorations, helpful and friendly staff. No elevator
- Connon (10/5): I'd love to stay again! - The property was even better than advertised. The space is utilised very well and everything was made easy for us from the instructions.
- Charlie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hashim (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robert (6/5): Spacious and very well presented apartment, the stairs to the bedrooms was to steep for older people - Spacious newly fitted out apartment, nice shower with and large bath. Quiet location.Good desks for working Steep staits leading to the bedrooms, noise from other bedroom could be easily heard
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (10/5): Great well secluded rooms, very quiet. - Well organized prior to arrival. Very detailed message on WhatsApp how to enter the property, WiFi and other details. The rooms are well appointed. The Garden Terrace room would be my choice. If you enjoy a Japanese experience then this does come close especially upstairs with the sliding doors and outside garden and lights. I would definitely recommend this to anyone travelling to Hanoi. It is also a 2 min walk to one of the larger shopping center’s here complete with restaurants and 8 theater complex. None
- Thomas (8/5): Very good -
- Wei (9/5): Superb -
- David (5/5): Good but not deluxe - For a deluxe apartment the place was not very clean. The communication with the owner was complicated and not very helpful. For reaching the bed you have to go to the second floor via a very steep stairs. It's not recommanded for older people. Good but not deluxe
- Jan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Benjamin (8/5): Very good -
- Clinton (10/5): Exceptional - Self checkin was great, the apartment istelf was very trendy as well. They utilised majority of the space The steps to the bedroom are steep, I could imagine this being difficult for the elderly to climb.. be careful if you have a big night out
- Cathrine (7/5): Quiet and good sleep in Hanoi - Quyet - the owner's representative (host) - was very friendly, helpful, and did all he could to accommodate our needs.
The Bun Cha street place very near the apartment building to the right on Le Dai Hanh st. when you get out from the alley is fabulous for breakfast, brunch or an early lunch. Not many places in the world (where tourist come to visit) can you get that tasty and healthy food for less than 2 USD!! The indoor climate of the apartment (A1 - ground floor) was damp (last half of February 2024) and especially the bedrooms and the wardrobes upstairs smelled as if there was mould or mildew.
The very steep ladder up to the loft bedrooms and office space.
- Hoang (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ronald (10/5): Great Apartment/Hotel in Central Hanoi City! - Location, Room, Staff, Communication
- Richard (10/5): Amazing architecture! - The architecture of the building is amazing! The apartment was clean and lovely. The staff were amazing and super helpful! Even returning an item i'd left behind once I realised a week later Would definitely stay again! The stairs were very steep! The cleaners threw away the English teabags i'd brought from home and some fruit I'd left out.
- Yit (9/5): Beautifully designed apartment in an ideal location with excellent host service. - The apartment is modern and spacious. It provides most of the amenities you need. Host is very friendly and helpful. The apartment has great location, minutes away from shopping mall and supermarket. Plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, would stay there again if we ever visit Hanoi in future. 1) The ladder/stairs to go up to bedroom floor is too steep, not suitable for young kids or elderly.
2) Need more table/storage space in the toilet for toiletries or clothes.
3) Would be nice to provide coffee mugs in kitchen for hot beverages.
- Cindy (8/5): Very good - Design & location
- Paul (9/5): Beautiful and relaxing oasis in the middle of Hanoi - This is a really special space. Very nicely designed. Quiet and relaxing. But in the middle of bustling Hanoi. It is quite dark inside during the day. The stairs would be difficult for anyone with an injury or reduced mobility
- Jenni (9/5): Superb -
- Aleksandra (10/5): Exceptional -
- Praveen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wenwen (10/5): This is the best experience ever! - The host is exceptionally wonderful and always ready to help! Beautifully designed room and extremely clean! Great location! Reasonable price!
- Laura (9/5): Superb -
- Julia (10/5): its on a pricy side, but tottaly worth it. unique experience! - Unique design, clean, balcony, good view, amazing sheets, two workspace, comfy chairs, adorable balcony, shops and cafes nearby, host is friendly and very helpful, no bad surprises at all plugs are a bit far from the tables, sofa would be better then chairs, no water cooler
- Phong (9/5): Fantastic boutique option - An excellent boutique option, fantastic staff and service. Very comfortable, family friendly pool. Rooms and facilities were as advertised and of a high standard, great value!
- Bg (8/5): A clean accommodation located in central Hanoi - Location was good. Accommodation was clean. No noise from the street. Interior design of accommodation was cool. I liked the spacious bathtub and balcony. The design was very nice but little bit inconvenient to climb up to bed. If it had a shelf above wash basin would be better. I wanted to wash dishes by myself but couldn't find sponge and dish soap.
- Hayley (9/5): Worth the money. - The host was very helpful upon arrival and gave us instructions beforehand since it is a self-checkin process. There is no elevator but we got help carrying our luggage upstairs. Even the housekeeper was nice to us and helped us when we checked out. The highlight is the bathtub is hugeeee as my partner is 6'4 so not too many bathtubs fit him but this one does. We were very delighted. Everything is marble in the bathroom so sometimes it can get slippery. The stairs to go to the bedroom are narrowed so you really have to watch your steps.
- Emma (10/5): Beautiful Interior at an affordable price - Excellent Interior, really value for money! Nothing much around the area, but that's fine
- Manabu (9/5): Superb -
- Mark (8/5): Overall satisfied although the owners need to add a few essentials - The property has recently been renovated and is a very modern and fun design. The host was friendly and very responsive including changing my mattress which was very hard. Air conditioning unit was amazing! Location was fairly decent and not far from the old quarter and many attractions. The apartment was lacking a few essentials that most places will provide, e.g. washing powder, dish washing liquid, sponge, towel... which we then had to buy. Kitchen utensils were limited and the common hallway had lots of mosquitos. Whilst the steep ladder up to the bedroom was initially fun the novelty soon wears off. They need to add a curtain or blind to all of apartment windows that face the common hallway since you can see straight in.
- Robyn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tuan (9/5): secure, quiet and clean with washer/dryer. - clean and secure a little far from the main attractions.
- Nhung (10/5): Super value of money - Very stylist apartment, great service, nice host, amazing location with many good restaurants around. The stair, hot water not enough to use the bathtub
- Marwan (10/5): a wonderful apartment - very stylish and modern, attractive architecture. Good new mattresses weak lighting in bedrooms and desk area
- Quoc (10/5): Central and unique apartment - This is a new and unique apartment, very central, easy going for cafe and restaurant. I love the space here with modern kitchen, big TV and nice bathtub. Highly recommend for travelers
