- Ehrhard (10/5): Wenn HCMC, dann nur im Hato! - Als erstes sticht das Personal ins Auge: jeder ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend und erfüllt jeden erfüllbaren Wunsch. Besonders Jane an der Rezeption ist wunderbar. Wir kennen sie noch von unserem ersten Aufenthalt. Aber auch alle anderen Mitarbeiter sind toll. Alle sprechen sehr gut englisch, so dass man sich gut unterhalten kann. Die Lage des Hato ist sehr gut, man kann von dort aus sehr viel zu Fuß erreichen. Das Hotel ist sehr sauber und gepflegt. Das Frühstücksbüffet ist sehr gut, neben den Basics wie Eier in allen möglichen Zubereitungen gibt es täglich 2-3 weitere wechselnde Gericht. Cà Phê gibt es soviel man will. Da fällt uns nichts ein.

The service is friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was great. The rooftop view is especially nice—particularly during breakfast. The rooms are a bit smaller compared to other hotels I stayed at in Vietnam, but still perfectly comfortable.

- Gary (7/5): Nice place but could choose better for the price - Hato is in a great position within a short walk of everything in the city centre, district 1 and in the middle of a local market with plenty of food, snack and alcohol options. Breakfast on the rooftop was great with cereal, juices, egg station accompanied with a small but adequate selection of extras including toast, spreads, yoghurts, etc. Only Tea available was Oolong so if you like EB or similar, bring your own. Room was clean as was the entire hotel. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Shower was hot at any time of the day or night. They push use of the rooftop yet don’t have cocktails available, only beer and soft drinks. Windowless rooms were very small and you have climb over the end of the bed to get into it. Tiled hallways outside rooms are noisy when guests come home in early morning(12-3am) Room rate was the most expensive for our entire 4 week stay in 5 different hotels.

- Zane (6/5): Hotel - great! Shower - not so much... - Location. Staff lovely as always. Place was quite clean. Spacious room The SHOWER!! The drainage was apalling - there was one drain in the shower itself, however it was higher than the rest of the floor, so all the water flowed out through a purpose made gap in the shower screen, into a drain next to the toilet. However this was also not well set up - and water would flood the bathroom if you had a shower for over 3 minutes. The rooftop bar didnt have any spirits of any kind, just beer.

Everyone there is a credit to the team, and we always felt like family instead of guests. A special mention to Delwyn, who always greeted us with a smile and helped with any enquiries that we had. Would recommend anyone to stay here. 😄 N/A

- Tina (8/5): Toller Ausgangspunkt für Ho-Chi-Minh-City! - Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit bei sämtlichen Anliegen/Problemen! Das Hotel ist klein aber gemütlich und einwandfrei sauber. Wir sind mit dem Zimmer gut klargekommen. Das Frühstück war ein überraschendes Highlight und wirklich liebevoll und umfangreich gestaltet (authentisch vietnamesisch). Der Frühstücksraum (nebst Rooftop-Terrasse (9. Stockwerk)) fungiert später auch als Bar, die Aussicht ist schön. Die Lage des Hotels ist perfekt! Auf der Straße vor dem Hotel befindet sich ein großer "Streetfood-Markt", von dem aber keinerlei Belästigung (Lärm oder Geruch) ausging; man war bei Verlassen des Hotels sofort "mitten im Geschehen"! Vor der Anreise erhielten wir über die bei Booking.com angegebene Handynummer offensichtliche Spam- oder Fishing-Nachrichten im Namen des Hotels. Das Hotel selbst hat hiermit aber offenbar nichts direkt zu tun. Trotzdem ein Unding! Das Zimmer war wirklich klein (es gibt wohl auch größere Zimmer). Dass unser Zimmer überhaupt ein Fenster hat, wurde beim Checkin ausdrücklich hervorgehoben, was Schlimmes vermuten lässt... Die Bar hat keine große Auswahl und leider keine Cocktails, vermutlich war sie deshalb auch immer leer, wenn wir vorbeigeschaut haben. Der Safe war kompliziert zu bedienen; der Mitarbeiter hat aber schnell und freundlich geholfen.

- Clare (9/5): Fun Spot in the City - Great little place down in the middle of the action in Saigon/HCMC. There was a little street market right out in front of the hotel and it was a short walk to many of the significant landmarks in the city. The beds were comfortable and the AC was definitely appreciated being there during a hot season. The breakfast was very good. The amenities are a little limited as there isn't a gym or pool.

În mod normal evit să las recenzii negative, pentru că apreciez efortul din spatele oricărui business, însă consider că există loc de îmbunătățiri, în special în ceea ce privește igiena. Curățenia generală ar putea fi îmbunătățită. Baia a fost într-o stare mai bună, însă, din punctul meu de vedere, camera nu corespunde standardelor unei camere de hotel. Am avut și alte cazări în Vietnam și pot spune că această experiență nu se apropie de nivelul unui hotel de 4 stele; personal, aș evalua-o mai degrabă la aproximativ 2 stele.

Nettes und hilfsbereites Personal mit einem sehr guten Restauranttip und Hilfe bei der Reservierung der Busverbindung nach Can Tho. Das Frühstück auf der Dachterrasse war gut (Omelette oder Spiegelei auf Bestellung). Alles gut, schade nur dass während der Frühstückszeit auf der Dachterrasse geraucht werden darf. Ansonsten ist der Platz im 9. Stock gerade zur Frühstückszeit einfach traumhaft

The staff were very friendly and helpful. We left our bags safely when we arrived early. Breakfast had a good selection and wasn’t too busy. The room was clean and had everything we needed. Very good value for money. We also made an error and left keys behind, the staff were extremely helpful and getting these returned to us. Posting them onto a hotel we were going to next- free of charge. We’d have had major issues without getting these back. I’d stay here again and recommend. Thank you. You have to walk past and through local food stalls and the entrance is set back between them which I was a bit concerned about potential location initially but don’t be put off by this.
- David (8/5): Enjoyable - Paradoxically the location was great and not so good. Positively, it could not be any nearer to the main shopping areas. Five minutes walk brings you right into the shops and excellent street food. The room was on the small side but it was comfortable. I had no problems reaching the railway station and local attractions by foot and enjoyed the close proximity. The front desk was very welcoming and cheerful too. The property was difficult to find first time around. This was frustrating. Even when I had been there awhile it was sometimes hard to get back there. Clear, or clearer, signposting would definitely been helpful to me.

- Audrey (10/5): Original - L’emplacement idéal pour visiter la ville. Le confort pour dormir, au calme et avec une super literie. La rue au pied de l’hôtel surprend à l’arrivée mais rend cet hôtel plein de contraste, tout comme cette ville.
