- Mark (8/5): - This is a great place to stay with a family in Yorkville. The property has high standards of appliances, bedding, etc. However, some added touches in the bathrooms would be nice. Toilet paper rolls, shelves in the showers, a few toiletries other than Irish Spring to get started. If you’re in Yorkville dont cheap out on the finishing touches that are in line with the luxury of the setting. Parking worked well too.

Very central to everything, lots of dining options and very convenient for transportation, but in my opinion it’s a bit overpriced for the size and quality of the unit. It’s pretty quiet but I guess it’s wasn’t my luck that the fire alarm went off at 3am at night and was going for good 30 minutes. So had a difficult time to follow back to sleep again and in result was tired next morning. Would rather choose different spot for the next time

- Maida (6/5): - The place is very small. The kitchen is very small. Kitchen dishes: there are 3 plates, 2 small bowls and 2 small plates. The pots are very cheap. No big bowls for mixing nor salad bowls nor serving dishes. There is a dishwasher in place but given you have only 2-3 plates you would have to wait awhile for your dishes. There is no dining table nor chairs so if you are ok to eat on the couch this is ok. Bedroom: There are no drawers for your clothes. There is a closet with one high shelf but it has all their bedding. Therefore we had to leave our luggage out on the bedroom floor to serve as drawers. When you do that, there is absolutely no space for you to move around in the bedroom. We tried to speak to the manager about the difference in pictures online and the actual suite. The manager was extremely defensive so I do not recommend you reach out for any needs. In addition when we were arriving, the manager was constantly texting asking time of arrival. It was disruptive. We kept him informed along the way and despite that we had to wait to be let in. On the flip side, the concierge gentleman was spectacular and very helpful. He was going to let us in but said that the manager had to give him permission to let us in (which he did not). Due to the size of the condo, and the managers approach to our concerns I would rate this property as 3.

- David (8/5): - The apartment rooms were fine and the building secure (almost too secure -- we got stuck in a stairwell with our lugguge after exiting through the wrong door trying to access the parking garage after we checked out and left our security fob behind as instructed). This property is well-located with the Royal Ontario Museum and subway stations for the 1 and 2 lines within easy walking distance. Once we parked upon arrival, we never used our car during our 3-day stay. During the course of our stay, we eventually found other nearby amenities largely by walking around along with Google and Yelp. To make exploring the area a bit more efficient for first-time visitors, it would be nice if the hosts provided a short list of nearby amenities like grocery stores, pharmacies and maybe a handful of eateries to help newcomers get started. We would have made better use of the kitchen equipment in the apartment and not wasted so much time searching for restaurants had we known at an earlier stage what was nearby. Other mild peeves include a kind of clunky check-in and the TV set-up (which we never figured out). The owners do a great job communicating with you in advance to establish a meeting time for check-in and proved flexible in adjusting it. However, it didn't result in a quick check-in. From the time we parked our car to occupying our room, it took about 45 minutes. Once again, some up-front instructions on parking options and how to access the building lobby would have been helpful.

Loads of security features just to access the building and get to the unit which made it feel very safe. It was within walking distance to other active hubs, dining options and an event which I attended at the Public Library. Ready access to mass transit as well.

Although there is a gym in the building, as a Soho Suites guest, you do not have access to it. Also the fan in the bathroom was loud and seemed impossible to turn off. I could hear in my bedroom (right next door), even with both doors closed. On the plus side, the management is responsive. I requested a firm pillow, and they bought my a brand new foam pillow. They definitely get an extra star for that. Overall, 4/5 stars.
