• Paladd (8/5): Satisfied :) - Location is no. 1. It’s located in Japan town which lots of restaurants, massage shops, bars, cafes. Love it! Staff were amazing. They are very attentive and helpful. Thanks to all of them. The mattress, it’s quite old not firm. So, I felt body aches. By the way, I was in room 606. Another room may be good. Breakfast was the one that if it’s improved it would be perfect.

• Anna-Kathrin (7/5): Gut, aber mit ein paar Abzügen - Lage super, kann alles schnell zu Fuß erreichen. Zimmer schön eingerichtet und ein bequemes Bett. Sehr laut durch die Klimaanlage und Lüftungen draußen. Beim Frühstück wird man als Vegetarier kaum fündig. Der Saft und die Marmelade z.B. haben sehr künstlich geschmeckt.

The staff were delightful; very friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable. The noise from the surrounding building works. Not the fault of the hotel, obviously, but it was more noisy that the nearby nightlight.

The air condition is taking very long time to cool down the room. We saw 2 air vents but the air con only came on out from one. Since we checked in very late night due to flight delay, we didn't call the staff to check it though. Breakfast is too limited and average condition. Road in front of the hotel is very small, not convenience for the car to park there.

• Ladyk (10/5): A Serendipitous Stay at La Opera Hotel, Saigon - I initially booked La Opera Hotel for just one night, as it was fully booked on my original travel dates. But after experiencing its charm, I was thrilled to secure additional nights—this place truly won me over. The location is incredibly convenient, and though my room had a balcony facing a busy street, I was amazed at how peaceful it remained thanks to excellent soundproofing. The staff went above and beyond, even helping me arrange a fantastic full-day Mekong Delta tour. I had initially booked another hotel/apartment that turned out to be a huge letdown, especially compared to the beautiful stays I’ve had elsewhere. But being led to La Opera felt like divine redirection—this hidden gem brought back the joy of my journey. Highly recommended! This might not be a major issue, but I personally appreciate having hot water. The water temperature appeared to be preset at a certain level—not very hot—but it was tolerable given the warm weather outside.

• Guido (7/5): Good hotel with fantastic location - The location is definitively a plus, plenty of massage parlours, bars and restaurants within minutes from the hotel. Rooms are big and beds sleep well. I first was in a premium room and there the room design was very strange and dark without view. Then I moved to a deluxe room and that was much better. I also liked the samsung smart tv with netflix and screen mirroring. Wifi is working well. Breakfast is ok but basic. Staff is very friendly! I asked for a wake-up call the final day but that never came. Also, there is some very loud construction work going on closeby, one night even until 10pm, it might be only a temporary disturbance….

The staff were extremely courteous and helpful, the room was comfortable, and the location was excellent. Great value for money. The only thing missing was a mini fridge in the room, which would have been nice to have.
• Thea (6/5): Though I was a return customer, I won't be back now. - This was my second stay, a year apart. The breakfast was great and staff attentive during breakfast. The door man is keen and kind. The rooms are modern and we had a balcony room which was nice, construction across the road was not currently active. Cleanliness was FAR worse than the first time I stayed there. I could see other peoples dark hairs on the other side of the sheets and the shower was filthy with pink shower mould. This is not a large hotel, so no excuse. When I pointed it out they cleaned it a little but not enough....buy some bleach.

• Sheila (8/5): Pleasant stay in a convenient part of the city. - Everything about the hotel was fine. We had a nice, spacious room with a very comfortable bed. The bathroom set-up is a little strange and when you use the shower, the shower cubicle and adjoining toilet area get flooded, but you just need to put mats/towels down to dry it. The bath in the bedroom area - not for us :-) The breakfast was fine, not as much choice as in other places we stayed, but fresh fruit, freshly cooked omlette and local options available. Staff were pleasant. The room wasn't cleaned after the first night and we had to ask in reception for someone to come after the second night. This was mainly a problem due to having to dry up after the shower and therefore needing a new mat/towels. We also missed the tea/coffee top-ups.

• Rahni (2/5): Very poor - We checked into our room that we paid extra for only for the air conditioning to not work at all. It was unbearably hot in the room and the employees were not able to get the aircon to work. After trying for ages they said that we had to move rooms (at 9:30pm at night). We were downgraded to a smaller room on the lowest level with no window where you could hear water running through pipes from flushing toilets all night. This was fine in the moment as I assumed we would receive some sort of refund for the hassle. But apparently all the manager could offer us was a 10% discount for that one night, which we never ended up receiving upon checkout. If you can, book elsewhere!
