Staff were super helpful, executive lounge had afternoon tea and happy hour, breakfast in the main restaurant catered to everyone - the fruit was amazing, the rooms had everything you would need we had a river view suite. The wine selection wasn't great but we love our wine so probably not important for most people

GLOBALADVENTURE1 (10/5): Top Hotel 5 star ⭐️ - What can I say my first time at MGM hotel and was impressed by this hotel , check in was quick and the staff were very polite, my room was very spacious and the layout of the room was excellent this is a really modern hotel with excellent facilities, the pool and gym are very nice the entrance lobby is beautiful decorated I would definitely recommend this hotel it is around 10-15 min drive to city centre will definitely be back soon

Speaking of delights, the rooms at MGM WestBund are something else. Spacious is an understatement – they're expansive! The walk-in closets added an element of luxury, and the bath tubs were perfect for unwinding after a day filled with exploration. But wait, there's more – the afternoon tea was a masterpiece. The blend of traditional and modern delicacies served in an elegant setting was an experience to savor. The attention to detail in every sip and bite was a testament to the dedication to providing guests with nothing short of perfection. MGM WestBund Shanghai didn't just offer a place to stay; it was an indulgent haven amidst the bustling art scene, where every moment, from brunch to afternoon tea, was an artistic journey in itself.

Limecurry (8/5): Very nice hotel, far from city center - the MGM is a recently opened hotel with large and very tasteful decorated and fully equipped (coffee maker, iron board, …) rooms. Views over the city are great. Great breakfast with a wide variety of of local and international food. It’s located in the recently developed West Bund area with lots of art institutions, but the city center is at least 25 minutes by car - with traffic it can easily be an hour and public transport connections are not good.

juliet562016 (10/5): Fantastic position - This hotel is in a fantastic position for getting around Shanghai on foot. Was shown to the room, first time I’ve ever said wow! Two large twin beds in this large room, with nice sheets. Television chair, desk, mini fridge. Carpeted throughout. Vouchers provided for discounts on eating and drinking. Bathroom- Big shower, toilet, large sink and a bathroom in the middle of the floor, in front of the window, I’m presuming that people are not able to see when you bathe but to be sure they didn’t, I pulled the blind down. Shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and mouthwash all provided along with large fluffy towels. All the meals were excellent with lots of choice. Other restaurants in the hotel, I tried the Italian, which was very good. You could walk all over Shanghai from this hotel. If you’re adventurous in what you eat, their are plenty of places to eat. If you’re not adventurous, you can always eat Mcdonalds, Burger King, Kentucky etc, would be a shame to do this though.
