Guest Reviews
- Ramandeep (10/5): -
- Sandra (8/5): Fun geta away - The staff is lovely. the food is spectacular
service fantastic
the pool is very nice
Coffee in the morning was one of the best. I wish it was available longer as it is so good the sink is way to high? it is nearly impossible to wash your face. the bed is way to soft.
it would be great to have a few drawers
limited wine available. as a vegan I was not able to find the wine on any list so I was not able to have wine with dinner.
- yiming (10/5): -
- Gail (10/5): - Friendly check in, glass of rose a bonus, room clean and very comfortable, love the retro vibe!
Gigi … Waitress at Heydays was so attentive and fun to chat with, food was great. We would definitely return!!
- Julie (10/5): - Unique & fun stay, all you need in one spot. Very cute restaurant/bar, pool & firepit area, along with chic room decor.
- Carolyn (10/5): - Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Great little weekend getaway.
- Catherine (10/5): - The staff are wonderful!
- Luzviminda (6/5): - Not enough furniture in the room, no table or chair, sink in the bathroom is too high
- Jessalyn (10/5): Comfy stay - Motel was super communicative by text of checking in, breakfast being open, restaurant on site change of hours etc. Motel was so cute and worth the trip. Sauble beach after September long is pretty quiet so be prepared for early dinners and nights but if you’re not looking for the crowds it’s the time to go.
- Rosmarie (9/5): -
- Nancy (10/5): - Staff is very attentive and helpful!!! Perfect location! Everything you need onsite.
- Cyrill (9/5): -
- John (8/5): - Everything was great (service, cleanliness, ambience, etc ) except for the mattress... It was pretty awful.
- Tara (10/5): - Cute vibes. Loved the eve s’mores and breakfast
- Kathy (6/5): - Sun shelf pool the pool is old style pool like the 70’s
- Stephanie (10/5): A beautiful getaway - Everything about how the June is amazing. From the moment you enter the lobby, it is so relaxing and beautiful. We were greeted by Hayden at check in and she went above and beyond to make sure my family and I felt welcomed and that everything was going well. From the pool to eating at Heydays & roasting s’mores at the fire pit (special shout out to Amber for ensuring we were topped up at the fire pit) & a lovely breakfast set up in the mornings, our family will definitely come back.
Every person working here was kind and friendly. Thanks June friends, until we meet again! Air conditioning can be quite loud. If you’re a light sleeper like me pack extra earplugs.
- Kevin (6/5): - Service was excellent. Second to none. Shout out to Jujee (spelling ?) for her great service. Nice outdoor pool, decent contiental breakfast. Very old, outdated TV, but minor gripe.
I think it's a great choice for families who may be spending quite a bit of their time at the hotel. For a couple who may not be there so much (day trips to Tobermory) it's probably a pricier option than needed. Even for the price it's quite a lot for what's provided. I've spent time in 4 star hotels in bigger cities that cost less. But location is everything and you're right by the beach and all restaurants.
If you're spending most of your time in Sauble Beach stay here. Well worth it.
- Ashley (10/5): - Our stay was such a unique experience. We were able to walk from the beach to the motel, the breakfast was delicious and the pool was so nice for a morning swim before checkout.
If you can I would recommend this hotel for a family vacation, date night or even a girls trip! It is definitely an all around great motel!
Would love to be back soon:)
- Amy (10/5): - We had a great time. Intend to go back next year. Location was great. The only things noticed were chipped paint and original patio doors with broken lock (had working safety bar). But truly it was such a cute boutique motel. Well thought out and decor was very retro. Live music was great too!
- Thomas (4/5): - Old and expensive
- Lori (10/5): Relaxing and Enjoyable - I enjoy the pool, service at the pool, breakfast of croissants and coffee for guests, location is close enough to walk to restaurants and shops. Rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. Quiet and relaxing. (Note: I went through the week and not the weekend)
- Julie (10/5): -
- Caitlyn (10/5): - So cute!!
- Donato (10/5): - All good
- Lisa (10/5): - Beautiful. Music could be quieter
- Justyna (10/5): - Good vibes!
- Perparim (10/5): - Good vibes
- Susan (10/5): Fabulous the fire pit in the evening was a lovely touch and end to the day - Very cute quirky motel with lovely views from room and an excellent ambiance.. perfect for a relaxing weekend away ..can highly recommend .. loved the decor and cute reception area , staff were really nice and friendly and the pool area was nice too nothing apart from be careful on the wooden decking area next to the pool in bare feet as I got 2 splinters from the wood ..so just make sure to put some deck shoes on ..apart from that no issues
- Magda (10/5): Exceptional - Everything about it! The Motel has a great vibe.
- Antonio (10/5): - Really beautiful and cozy.
- Yixuan (10/5): - Very supportive and friendly staff, beautiful motel set up and renovation and amenities, free breakfast, great getaway
- Figueroa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mohamed (10/5): - I recently stayed at June hotel, and it was an exceptional experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, making check-in a breeze. The room was clean, modern, and well-equipped, with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. Overall, a fantastic stay, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. The team was fantastic! They were energetic, friendly, and always created a fun atmosphere, they truly made the stay memorable. Their enthusiasm and creativity added a special touch to our holiday experience.
- Brad (10/5): - The June, what a beautiful place, great food, cool comfy retro rooms. We would and will return.
- Ronak (10/5): Exceptional -
- Steve (10/5): - Different experience starting with complimentary beer and wine at check in. Pool, fire pits done very nicely. Looking to go back.
- Mohamed (8/5): Very good -
- Carolyn (10/5): - Great getaway spot good restaurant and comfortable rooms. Pool area nice to relax and evening fire pits with s’mores. Good vibes
- Tyler (10/5): - charming!
- James (10/5): September in June - The pool was great! Menu could have more options
- Haley (10/5): - Excellent time at the June! Beautiful place, wonderful food and drinks. We stayed on the property the whole evening and were never bored, we were so lucky to get to hear live music all evening. Drink service at the pool is a great touch, feels like being at a mini resort.
We had an issue with billing after changing our check in day due to a staff oversight, however it was fixed for us eventually, and staff were great to deal with.
- Vadim (10/5): Exceptional - The atmosphere and the staff are excellent. I felt like I was staying at a $1000/night resort
- Margaret (10/5): Wonderful! - Really enjoyed the welcome drink, s’more packages and breakfast items. The bath products were quality and smelled great. Hammock on the balcony was a great idea and comfortable The cost. Very expensive and so it was a huge splurge. Indoor wicker chair looks great but very uncomfortable, maybe at a think pillow. Had one day stuck inside while is poured rain so I realized how uncomfortable the chair was.
- Amir (10/5): Exceptional -
- Susie (10/5): A fun , perfect stay visiting my children at Sauble Beach. I also stayed at The Beach Motel in Sout. - The breakfast and staff were fantastic. I found the room very dark.. the bedside lights lovely but not enough for me.Perhaps a floor lamp in the corner. Loved the body oil, sheets lovely.
- Kelly (10/5): - The staff was so friendly and hospitable. Just a great vibe for my little get away with my girls.
- Dawna (9/5): Really enjoyed it overall. Pool made all the difference. Would never spend the money without a pool there. - Really pretty property with a cool retro vibe. Loved the pool! Fire pits a nice addition! Lobby area so cute and welcome glass of rose a nice touch. Croissants and pastries for breakfast were tasty. Service and staff were great! Sauble Beach a cute little beach town. Food at Heydays was good but not great and overpriced.
Thought the rooms would be more upscale for the price. Would like to have a bathtub and not just a shower in the room. TV very small and not proportional to room. Also they should include bathrobes. No real feeling of luxury which you should get when spending that much money.
- Fielding (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wonny (10/5): - Good
- Carrie (8/5): Very good - We like how we checked in monday at 4pm Brady was so nice to us made us feel welcome very polite to us told us everything we needed to know everything was great .. but dont mean to be rood in the moring to girls didnt even say hi to us or a good moring to us . That was rood but everything else was good would liked to go to the pool but alot ppl seemed to hogged it . Went to beach got great shots on sunsets . Moring staff was rood standing there talking about about stuff . Didnt say anything to us .
- Sybil (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jaime (9/5): Great vibe - Close to everything
- Angela (10/5): Digging the June vibes! - The location is a 5 mins walk from the beach and Sauble main strip. HOWEVER, with all that the June Motel offers, you don't want to leave! Service was top notch! You truly have created a little retro vibing world within the Sauble beach area! Simpler options on the menu. Very hard to find a refreshing salad in Sauble especially for those hot beach days!
- Jacqueline (10/5): It was a fantastic stay to celebrate a birthday - The complimentary breakfast was excellent. And the little extras..glass of rose when we arrived and the s’mores by the fire pit. Were excellent!
Staff were very friendly. Room was beautiful. The only complaint would be the pillows were very puffy. Very uncomfortable to sleep with. Had to use one of the towels as a pillow.
- Carey (9/5): all in all a lovely place! great location - such a cute place with great facilities. Restaurant was wonderful and non fires really cool. I do wish the pool steps had a hand rail. I have knee issues so could not get in. Also designated parking per room near your door. you do have to lug your luggage upstairs for 2nd floor.
- Robyn (10/5): - Amazing time at the June! Will be back again and again.
- Anthony (8/5): Very good - Fantastic
- Jennifer (8/5): A nice experience in Sauble Beach 🏖️ - Amenities
Nice pool
Friendly staff
Comfortable and clean A little pricey but enjoyable
- Lisa (10/5): - The absolute perfect quick getaway! Will be doing this again ☺️
- Wendy (10/5): We will come back again! - Everything is amazing! We had a great stay, really enjoyed our time here. nothing
- Nicoletta (9/5): Superb -
- David (10/5): - Everything you needed was there. Pool and excellent Restaurant. Felt very high end
- Vanessa (10/5): - Cleanliness along with very nice staff upon arrival
- Carrie (9/5): Totally worth the trip! - Such a great vibe. The staff were all so incredible and friendly. The welcome rose was a nice touch. The continental breakfast croissants from a local bakery were to die for. We loved laying around the pool all day and having service for drinks and food around the pool. The firepits were great to sit at at night with a glass of wine. It was also nice to have the restaurant on property to have dinner. It was so much fun to have watched the makeover of the motel on Netflix and then to go and experience it ourselves. It would have been nice to have some smaller food options as snacks for around the pool like chips and salsa or gauc or some other finger food items. We did order the charcuterie board the second day but on the first day we were snacky (and not seafood people) and all we could really order was some fries.
- Zeinab (10/5): - I recently had the pleasure of staying at The June Motel, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish!!! The service provided by Hayden and Jayden was outstanding. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. From their warm welcome at check-in to their attentive and friendly assistance throughout our visit, Hayden and Jayden truly made us feel at home. The motel itself is charming and beautifully decorated, offering a perfect blend of modern amenities and retro vibes. They thought of every little detail, from the s'mores, blankets, and board games to the delicious breakfast! I highly recommend The June Motel to anyone looking for a delightful and memorable stay. The exceptional service from Hayden, Jayden, and the rest of the staff at The June Motel and Heydays was the cherry on top!
- Sherry (10/5): - We loved our stay, it is our second time and definitely we will come back. So cozy and comfortable
- Courtney (10/5): Exceptional -
- Saeeda (10/5): Great experience. Over Priced! - Amazing staff!! Very clean and accommodating. I loved this place!!! Wish there was a microwave in the room though.
- Hangjie (8/5): Very good -

- Joanne (10/5): Great staff, very professional and nice people. The motel provides a comfortable, easy get away. Very close to the be - Easy vibe, great staff Tall sinks
- Dorota (10/5): Charming and well run cute motel - It's a very cutely designed space, feels like Wes Anderson movie. No complaints
- Anatoly (10/5): Amazing Motel with great amenities -
- Annie (9/5): Superb -
- Nicole (10/5): Amazing pool and amenities! - The entire vibe was fantastic from the welcome rosé to fireside s’mores and the fabulous outdoor pool. We will absolutely be back! Nothing -everything was fantastic
- Navneet (10/5): Exceptional -
- Roberto (10/5): Disconnecting to connect with nature - The place is highly relaxing and staff makes you feel very comfortable.
- joanne (10/5): - It was a fantastic stay at June Hotel. We booked a deluxe room with two queen size bed. I really like the looks of how the color and set up touch of pink theme. The overviewing pool and the super cool code door instead of having a key card. The pool was nice and clean not too much clorine which we able to stay longer. The stay are friendly and accomodating. Overall satisfaction and we will be back again this coming summer.
- Dijie (8/5): Very good - Staffs are friendly. Vibe is good. Good location AC is quite noisy at night and it’s not responding to button very well. Some dirts are found in the mug
- Shannon (7/5): I had an amazing time with my mother and it was her first time in a pool. - Breakfast was ok..muffins were dry My check in was delayed as the motel failed to have my area code with my phone # and I did not receive the check in info.in advance so upon arrival my check-in was delayed by 30 mins due to this issue.
- Christina (10/5): - Super chic ambience, clean and fun. service was great with complimentary rosé upon arrival and local pastry options for a morning treat. Fire pit for s’mores, pool and sauna are additional perks.
- Mmm (7/5): Like the vibes - The vibes of this motel is amazing. The common area is very well decorated and nice. The breakfast pastries they provide in the morning are delicious. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The motel offer a handful of free activities. The restaurant food are delicious. The bed and pillow is on the stiff side. Air condition is quite old and loud but it does the job. Found a spider on the corner of the door. The bathroom light is very dim. The bathroom cleaning can be improve as I seen some mold spot on the shower area.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Average motel, definitely not worth $500 a night! - It’s a motel folks… This is definitely not a $500 per night place. It’s an average motel room. Yes, it was clean, which should be a no brainer at this price point but, there’s absolutely nothing impressive about the motel or the rooms. Check out a $500/ night hotel in Istanbul, Turkey for example, and you’ll see a level of opulence that you never imagined.
The water pressure for the shower was dreadful and I would’ve loved to sleep with the balcony door open since it was a beautiful summer night but there was no screen door to keep mosquitoes out… They have a heated pool but it was only open till 8pm… and the restaurant on the property closes at 9pm as well.. again on a beautiful summer night…so if you’re like me and enjoy a late dinner and night life, this place is not for you. I’m pretty sure millionaires are not spending their money in this tiny town in Northern Ontario so it’s just us “regular Joes” visiting and for $500/night,there better be amenities galore, impeccable service, opulence. It should be spectacular and unforgettable. The only thing that is unforgettable about this place is the price .
- Lorraine (10/5): - Loved our relaxing time at the June.
Dinner was9/10
- Zhou (10/5): Exceptional -
- Krista (6/5): - It was just ok!
- Valentin (10/5): - SO
- Susan (10/5): - Super cute hotel with friendly staff. There are a lot of special touches from a welcome drink to snore kit in the evening. There is bottles of wine, water and green juices for sale as well as a few other cute items at reception in case you forgot to bring some. We loved the restaurant on site, definitely the best food in town so there is no reason to leave.
- Chenyu (9/5): Superb -
- Anmolpreet (10/5): - Amazing! Lovely staff! The staff made it amazing. Would recommend to everyone!
- Valerie (7/5): Adorable well though motel of with well curated activities. - A lot of thought was put into every bit of space and the activities curated were also well thought out. Even though the property needs some updating in some areas I though the aesthetic was extremely well done. Cute, funky, fun and cheerful. The location is really fun and the addition of your hotel will boost Sauble. The food was amazing at heydays and really a nice addition to Suable Beach. Best lobster roll I ever had. Pool area also very well done! Good job at Eco stations - recycling and compost! Staff was dismissive and not warm and friendly. Homey, comfy, clean place but staff made you feel like you were bothering them - not a what can I did for you attitude but rather you shouldn’t be grateful for my attention. Didn’t like 20 service fee- this was not transparent when ordering from heydays. Thought it was going to be more of an adult vibe and the pool was full of children jumping and crying most of the time. I get it as it has a pool but had not expected this. We asked for our room to be tidied ( just garages cleaned and new wine glasses and beds made. Asked @ 11 am and they said it would be done in pm. Then when we went back to room it still had not been done and when I texted again they said house keeping was done for the day. So front desk girl went in for us but garbages not empties - Just new wine glasses provided. Also heard staff complaining to other patrons that only people from Toronto tipped enough which I though was unclassy .
- Lisa Marie (8/5): - I loved the 70s inspired property and decor. A bit pricey but expected in tourist area.. conveniently located to the main strip of sauble beach.. complimentary breakfast could be better with more variety of foods and should be provided every morning for duration of stay.
Although filtered water is provided, it still had a not so good taste to it..
staff were really friendly. Relaxing and family oriented. Was very grateful that our room was ready before the scheduled check in time of 4pm.
- Andrijana (10/5): - Very welcoming and has a cute vibe!
- Colleen (10/5): - The June did not disappoint - the vibe, the service, the accommodation were all amazing.
Love the text based service for updates and check out.
Loved Heydays - great food, great patio and excellent staff.
Breakfast croissants deserve their own shout out - coffee by the pool preparing for the beach is the best way to start the day.
