The view would have been perfect without the roof in the background. The 1st room assigned to us had a strangle, filthy smell. (But good thing Front Desk moved us to another room.) The sofabed was not as clean as expected and one of the beds and one of the pillows had some hair on them.

- Debbie (10/5): I'll be back!!!! - The staff was exceptional. After a 30hr flight delay, and a very long story, the front desk upgraded my room to a suite at no charge! (I didn't even ask!!!) Then, on the return home, I had two more delays and cancellations. The front desk put me right back in my suite at the same cost! I'll be back for sure! Nothing! Even housekeeping was willing to do every tiny little thing to make me comfortable. They didn't mind my 4-year-old granddaughter rollerblading in the hallway lol

I don’t usually expect much from HI but this one’s really worth staying in. - It’s very new so everything is so clean and we also love the breakfast! They don’t provide slippers although I can understand that for most 3 stars hotel and also sometimes I think that’s even better to reduce waste.

- Leanne (9/5): Many conveniences in one place, comfortable and hospitable. - Great buffet-style breakfast! Eggs, sausage or bacon, baked beans, potatoes, pancakes, plus the typical continental breakfast items. Loved the self-serve coffee/tea station that was stocked all day. Nice pool, not cold, also not too warm. Front desk staff were friendly, professional and attentive. Room had lots of lighting settings, outlets, USB ports, and the A/C worked well. The windows can be opened a few inches for fresh air if desired. Nice showerhead in the bathroom with three settings. Dove products supplied in shower and at sink. In-room safe (not bolted down though). Overall a modern and well-provisioned room. Lots of parking, and you could use your key card to enter the hotel from the back. Key card required in the elevator and for the fitness room and pool. Also, they have two washers and two dryers ($2.50 each at time of writing). The beds were comfortable but too soft for my personal liking. If you have back issues and need something supportive, these might not be the best for you. They were plush and cozy though. The fitness room was ok but needs to be cleaned better. Lots of dust and hair in the corners and borders. Only one small surface between the two beds in the room, no nightstand drawers. Kinda crowded for everyone's books, phones, personal items...

The following day, the next receptionist lied and said they found out late the night of the 30th that the heater for the pool wasn’t working. Breakfast - no bowls, cups or cream

I booked two rooms with two queen beds each, but we were given two rooms with a king bed and a couch instead. On top of that, the sheet for the couch looked used, which was very disappointing. Overall, this was not the experience I expected from this hotel.

- Andrea (9/5): Excellent! - - Breakfast was awesome! - Staff were superb; always very polite and helpful - Location was very convenient; bus from the airport took about ten minutes and dropped us just across the street; easy walk to Superstore for groceries, Ricky's for a couple of dinners, National car rental office, etc. - Room decor was very tasteful - modern, but warm and inviting; loved the window blind. - Pool was great. A couple of small things: in our bathroom the baseboard directly below the towel rail was filthy, with several old water drip marks down the wall below the towels. It is not as noticeable when standing in the middle of the bathroom, but when using the toilet it's not so pleasant seeing it so close-up... Likewise, there had been a coffee spill in one of the elevators at the weekend, which was still there three days later when we left! And one small request - please could you mount a wall-clock in the pool area? These are all small details - please don't take them as serious 'complaints'. We are planning to come back and stay on our next visit - we really enjoyed our visit - thank you!

- Sean (10/5): Great budget hotel in an ideal location for a day trip to Courtney. - It was much nicer and newer inside than it looked from the outside. Everything felt well looked after and like they were trying to offer the best budget service they could. Sorry to say but there were several noises linked to the ventilation & heating systems that we couldn’t turn off which caused an irritation through the night.

Breakfast should probably start around 6:00 am because of when we had to be at the charter for fishing, but also army personnel were also waiting for breakfast with us. This way we wouldn’t have to rush eating and relax 😌
