• Mélissande (10/5): Un séjour très agréable avec un service impeccable ! - Christophe nous a réservé un très bel accueil et s'est montré flexible pour notre heure d'arrivée à l'hébergement. L'établissment était très propre et nous avons eu un gros coup de cœur pour la décoration, qui colle parfaitement avec l'esprit authentique de la Maison Shermann. Le petit-déjeuner fait maison était succulent et nourrissant, tout ce qu'il nous fallait pour notre fin de semaine de randonnée. Je recommande à 100% !

• Cedric (5/5): Good location, good value, unforgiving host. - The breakfeast was fine but I have had better in other BnBs. The fireplace before going out for supper was a nice touch for me and my friends. Sometimes, the host showed a lack of empathy towards us. To be fair, some guests are not easy to deal with either!
• Claudia (10/5): Dans un cadre enchanteur et reposant. - L’hôte était tellement accueillant et amical, on s’y sent bien tout de suite ! Les draps étaient confortables. La salle de bain partagée était impeccable, le petit déjeuner délicieux. La cours arrière était soigneusement aménagée. Il y a une petite épicerie à distance de marche ainsi qu’un beau circuit pour découvrir le village de Scotstown.

• Carine (10/5): - Passé une nuit afin d'aller à l'astrolab, nous avons été accueilli chaleureusement. Nous avons passé une bonne nuit. Le petit-déjeuner en compagnie des autres personnes présentes était très agréable. Le petit-déjeuner préparé et proposé par Christophe était très bien et varié.
• Steffi (10/5): Magnifique, reposant et attentionné - L’endroit est magnifique et paisible. C’est la troisième fois que nous visitons Christophe, et chaque fois nous nous y sentons comme chez soi. D’ailleurs, Christophe se souvient d’éléments caractéristiques comme de notre chambre habituelle et de nos besoins particuliers, ce qui est très attentionné de sa part. Nous apprécions beaucoup. Nous réservons chaque année maintenant chez Christophe dans le but de profiter de la nature, mais également des spectacles offerts dans la Ville de Lac Mégantic dans le cadre du festival Colline. Bref, habiter cette magnifique propriété est toujours très agréable, nous repartons toujours reposés de la Maison. Le petit déjeuner est également très apprécié ! Merci Christophe ☺️ Rien!

• Stephanie (10/5): - Loved our stay at Maison Sherman! Its a very short drive from the observatory and you’ll be able to have a clear dark sky to watch the stars, even from the backyard! The breakfast was also very good!

• Cindy (8/5): Very good - Lots of space to relax. Host was motivated to make sure we had all our needs met. Host was very responsive in communication. I bathroom to share with 5 rooms. We were fortunate we were the only guests. Bathroom vanity is way too high. Breakfast was lovely.
• Sarah (10/5): Wonderful host and perfect location to watch the eclipse and explore the Eastern Townships - We traveled to Scotstown for the solar eclipse. The location was excellent and within walking distance of a park where we watched the eclipse with others. There is also an Asian bistro, small grocery store, and gas station all within walking distance. There are many hiking trails nearby, and we also enjoyed driving to Lac Megantic and back. Christophe was a gracious host and served breakfast each morning, including homemade yogurt. The B&B is spacious with several different seating areas for you to relax, enjoy the fire, read, or converse with other guests. I would have preferred a private bathroom, but it was really no big deal to share with a few of the other guests.

• Barbara (2/5): Worst experience ever - There was no  “stay”. No one returned my calls. No one was there when we arrived. The house was dark and locked. No one answered the door or the phone. We could not get in and had to drive through the night to find another room.

• Michel (10/5): - Nous y sommes allés pour l’observation des étoiles au mont Mégantic qui est à 30 minutes de voiture. A l’arrière de la maison, la vue du ciel nocturne y est magnifique. Ce fut agréable comme séjour, Christophe est très attentionné. Nous y retournerons sûrement.

• Donna (8/5): - I loved the charming old home in the small village atmosphere, so peaceful! Cristophe was a very amiable host. I was a little disappointed that we had a double bed when I had requested a queen, and that there was no soap, shampoo or conditioner provided for showering, and silly us didn't bring any. Also, the host does not get paid through Expedia, and needed an etransfer.

Nous avions choisi une chambre en regardant les photos sur le site d’Expédia, et le propriétaire nous a attribué une autre chambre qu’il considérait plus tranquille puisque nous séjournions plusieurs nuits. Ainsi, au lieu d’avoir une chambre à l’étage de la maison principale, nous avons eu une chambre située dans une autre section de la maison, plus privée. Ce genre d’attention portée aux détails est bien appréciée !

• Kelly (4/5): - Had a hard time finding the place because there’s no address number on the building nor any kind of signage. Strict check-in 3 PM or later I arrived 10 minutes early and that was not an option. The owner was a pleasant individual. My room was on the second floor and I was required to remove my shoes at the entryway and walk in my socks inside and got cat hair on my socks. There’s a cat. The room was spacious, but basic…the bed was comfortable, but there was no kettle or anything to make a cup of tea. There’s no AC so the window was open. There was one other window but I couldn’t get it to open. The one window had no screen. A shared bathroom for four bedrooms, and there was nowhere to hang anything in the bathroom which is inconvenient. I retired early and heard a loud noise and my room filled up with kitchen fumes which was awful. My eyes started to burn, and it took 36 hours for my eyes to stop burning, I close the window and as I was closing it, I noticed that there was a commercial kitchen vent to later right outside my window. I really wish I had been warned about that so that I could’ve requested another room or at least closed the window during the operation of that ventilation. I worry that some kitchen cleaner vented into my room and that’s why my eyes were burning so much. And the smell was quite unpleasant really ruining my stay. I missed breakfast and left early because of this I was told breakfast would only be a continental breakfast. I depart at around 5:30 AM.

We would definitely return for another stay when we visit this region again. Perfectly located, in proximity to the national park for time on the trails. He prepared coffee and more in the kitchen in the very early morning and was a very friendly and thoughtful host. Thank you!!!
