Guest Reviews
- Daryl (7/5): - Comfortable room. Staff were good Could be a bit cleaner.
- Kichi (7/5): -
- Yosmany (4/5): Nasty place. - We arrived around 9:30 pm, and the credit card machine was not working, the clerk asked if we had cash ;) After some time, it started working. They billed me for more money than Booking.com. I complained and they charged me what was agreed in booking.com (He had to call I guess the manager).
There were 2 pieces of hair on the sheet but it was late for me to complain. The shower curtain was dirty at the button facing the bathtub.
- Brandon (7/5): -
- Wilson (8/5): - Deep tub. Reasonsble price. Bathroom door would not latch closed.
Parking lot could be widened up from the snowbank for room to park.
- Margaret (8/5): -
- Wooding (3/5): It was OK for a quick overnight stop at a decent price. - It was clean and met basic accommodation standards. It was “tired” and smelled of disinfectant.
- Barbara (8/5): -
- Kieran (10/5): -
- Paula (9/5): It was comfortable, clean and conveniently located. - Friendly, helpful staff. Very nice, clean room.
- STEVEN (4/5): -
- Sukhwinder (7/5): -
- Lawrence (10/5): - Amazing place to stay in wawa Nothing.. it was perfect
- Tian (9/5): simple and happy -
- Cathy (9/5): - The room was very clean. Coffee, tea, cereal and biscuits available for breakfast. It was raining when we were there and the outside steps were extremely slippery. We did bring it to the attention of the staff and they explained they were trying to get a roof over the entrance steps which should solve the problem
- Cathy (10/5): - Good parking, easy to find, very clean No coffee in the room. There was some downstairs but we left before it was open
- Rzesnoski (9/5): -
- Nancy (6/5): - A very basic clean room. The hotel is old and needs maintenance. Packages cookies and Keurig coffee in the morning.
- vishal (10/5): - Yes. Property is quite old
- Renée (8/5): - Staff was very polite and helpful. Offered a beautiful and spacious room for same price. Walking distance to Viking restaurant, delicious. Pleasant new bathroom and shower works wonderfully.
Only recommendation would be to install a door sweep, light from hallway comes in from underneath (1 inch gap) and disturbs light sleepers.
- Lorraine (6/5): - The room was very clean and good for a night. The motel is dated and there are only stairs to se one floor, no elevator. Not access friendly.
- Don (10/5): - Friendly staff
- Lyndon (10/5): - Was very clean and seemed to be newly renovated. Bed was very comfortable. Was very quiet. Only thing missing was some hooks or hangers to hang up clothes. Would definitely stay there again.
- Kaila (8/5): - Rooms were clean, good amenities, very friendly helpful staff that offered to go above and beyond!
- Kelly (8/5): - Easy parking, polite check in, clean room
- Joey (8/5): - Ok
- Jayne (10/5): - Easy check in. Room appears newly painted and bathroom updated. Nice size fridge which is handy. If desired tea or coffee is readily available near lobby.
- Stella (6/5): - Ok
- Joseph-André (4/5): - Our room was filthy. Linen were stained and we found trash from a previous guest under the bed.
There was no one at the front desk for the check out, and we only had to sign a form which felt a little odd.
- Kasandra (10/5): - Front desk efficient and courteous. Tasteful modern reno including plumbing (great shower!). Clean, spacious, comfortable. I wish all small town motels were this good.
- Dawn (10/5): - We had a late check in request therefore the property manager texted room # and access code, easy peasy.
- Janice (6/5): - Old building which is fine but very noisy uncomfortable bed. Fridge very noisy also. Room door let in tons of light from the hallway resulting in very little sleep overall.
- Blair (8/5): - The hotel was an inexpensive overnight stay and was fine for that purpose. The bed wasn't very comfortable and we weren't convinced that the sheets had been changed.
- Bonnie (6/5): - Although outside looks were average to humble, the service was excellent, our room was clean and well appointed ( newly renovated), and we would return and recommend.
- Bruna (8/5): - Nice staff!
- Lars (4/5): - The bed was substandard and stiff
- Hannah (8/5): - Friendly staff
- Verified traveler (2/5): Bad. Wouldn’t stay there. - It was so bad we didn’t stay there. It should have been 0 stars if I could select 0, I would have. They kept 50% of my booking, which they shouldn’t have. We got a room across the street at The Outdoorsman. I only saw 1 car stay there, so they had plenty of vacancy. Hotels.com should be ashamed they’re even on your site. First they charged me $25 for a Service Dog. Not in accordance with People with Disabilities Act. No other hotel did this. Then the room was so small you could hardly move around the bed, very old and smelled. We went right back to the desk and said we wanted a refund and weren’t staying there.
- Hannah (10/5): - Great showers
- Stewart (6/5): - It was unique that I was provided my room access by phone. I did not see any staff neither upon check-in nor check-out. It was inconvenient taking my luggage to the second floor as I am mobility impaired
- Christoph (9/5): - Positive Überraschung war das kleine aber feine Frühstücksbuffet: Tee, Kaffee, Cornflakes, Milch, Kekse. So sparten wir die Suche nach einem Frühstückscafé
- Craig (10/5): - Very clean rooms. Staff are superb. Very responsive and accommodating.
- WING MAN (5/5): - a bit cheaper than those nearby ones tidiness needs to be improved
- Gang (8/5): - the washeoom is very clean. breakfast is not. overall 4 stars for the price
- angelina (10/5): - Good for everything
- Laura (10/5): - Very clean and well managed.
- ELIZABETH (10/5): - Approachable
- Virginia (10/5): - 2nd stay here. Lovely, clean and friendly!
- Karen (8/5): - Very accommodating and helpful staff
- Todd (10/5): Well worth it - A great place. The room was as the pics. The only issue would be the low water pressure. But even with that small issue, I would definitely stay there again.
- Eileen (10/5): - Great little one night stay, rooms were clean, staff were friendly and helpful.
- David (6/5): - Through no fault of the property owners, the gusts near us were EXTREMELY noisy and disturbed our rest on several occasions woke us.
Better patrol of the hotel would be strongly suggested.
- Shyvonne (8/5): - Rooms are cute and clean.
Outside, they should remove the tiles from the entrance steps as they are very slippery in the rain
- Brendan (8/5): - Nice staff, clean room, great for an overnight stop
- Glenn (2/5): - The photo on the internet bore no relation to the actual room. Cleanliness left a lot to be desired. Room entry was using a code on the door knob - very strange.
The guy in front of us entered his room and someone was asleep in his room!
Would only ever stay here as a last resort.
- Shane (6/5): - It's an old motel but they did a good job refreshing the inside. Bright hallways and rooms. Bed wasn't real comfy and IMO it's time for being replaced.
- Chaitaniya (9/5): -
- Richard (8/5): - Needs cups in the room for drinking.
- Amit (9/5): - Great staff Room wasn't clean enough, found so many hairs on bed and in bathroom.
Windows not soundproof, could easily hear people talking outside.
- Ellen (4/5): - Clean Worst beds ever
- Donna (8/5): - The Alpha Inn welcomed us with courteous service and a clean, comfortable pet friendly room that included everything we needed for a restful evening after a long day on the highway. Many thanks for your hospitality.
- Patricia (10/5): - Very nice & clean rooms.
- David (8/5): Salmon Fishing - Great value for the money.
- LEANNE (8/5): - Newly furnished and very comfortable. Coffee/tea and cereal available for breakfast. Fine for a night stopover.
- Chris (8/5): - Room was very clean and updated. Shower had great pressure. Friendly front desk
- LEI (8/5): -
- Christine (4/5): - They put us in the pet room because we had a dog . I had paid for two queens which they said I couldn’t have . The room was very small and dirty . I had to pay an additional 25.00 for our dog which I thought was for cleaning but the room was a dump . Th door was not straight so you could see the light in the hall coming in. . Also it was very noisy in the hotel. We could hear the people in the hall and upstairs quite late . The pillows were very hard . The guy at the front was nice but we would never stay here again
- Verified traveler (4/5): Filthy Hotel! - The staff was very courteous. HOWEVER, no amount of kindness or courtesy could overcome what a dump this property is! It APPEARS that they have done a great deal of work to update the facility in certain areas (e.g. the bathroom had new fixtures and tile), but the overall CLEANLINESS was amongst the worst I have ever experienced (other than my travels in third world countries).
For example, I took a photo of the bathtub— it appears that the tub has NEVER been cleaned and there is a visible film of dirt and grime. Bring your shower shoes!!!
Also, one of the pillows had the word “Bristol” written in marker on the pillow— I have no idea how the staff could have put this pillow back into circulation after it had been defaced by a former guest (assumption on my part— maybe the staff had marked the pillow intentionally?).
Guests will notice that there is a sort of “lounge” just down the hallway from the reception desk— you will see a handwritten sign with an arrow that says “Coffee and Refreshments” taped to a door. When I went to see what might be available, I found that it was only coffee (a Keurig), tea, and a plastic container of water. I was glad to see that there is an ice machine, but when I opened it, I found that it is only used as a trash receptacle— no ice available; the machine is either broken or unplugged.
These are all of the treasures that await you at Alpha Inn— IF in fact you make it back the reception desk, which feels a bit more of a HOSTEL check in.
- Shirley (9/5): Good - N/A The comforters had stains on them sbd needed to be cleaned..otherwise the room was spotless
- Mortensen (4/5): - Surly check in man, noisy, uncomfortable beds,
- Don (6/5): Okay but had a smell in our room - Staff was good but room had a smell that was not pleasant even after spraying it. Otherwise the place was okay?
- Zoey (6/5): - I loved the room it was beautiful and I loved how the floor wasn’t carpet. The room seemed clean when we got in but under the bed there was water bottles and under the vanity there was some old shampoo. Room was nice and service was ok for the little staff they had. Overall I had a good experience and will come again. Just need a bit more extra care cleaning under the beds and stuff. Thank you for a good stay!
- Mike (8/5): - The building could use an elevator, thelat would have made life a lot easier
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good value for money - An affordable, decent property in Wawa. Room is new and clean and offers a fridge, but no microwave or coffee maker. These can be found in a common area.
- Paul (8/5): A repeat visitor - A very good choice in Wawa. Very good value for money. The rooms are all very new and superbly clean, but as yet incompletely appointed: there is a fridge, but no microwave or coffee machine. These are available in a common-area.
- Larry (8/5): - Quality stay. Lots of positive changes.
- Gorden (2/5): - Probably the worst hotel/motel I’ve ever stayed in. Front area and lobby run down, rock hard pillows, horrible mattress, paper thin walls, outside flood lights pointing at window all night, TV wouldn’t turn on until staff came up and discovered it had been unplugged then TV wouldn’t turn off so I had to unplug it, no breakfast service, no elevator to second floor for seniors. 1star and that is being generous
- Mathias (10/5): - Simple yet comfortable newly renovated motel. We had a pleasant stay. Staff was nice and facilities clean. Good value for money.
- Solveig (5/5): -
- Adrienne (8/5): - very friendly. check in was seamless. Room was clean and comfortable. Bedding was good. Mattress was ok but sufficient for one night. Would definitely stay there again
- Carrie (8/5): - Very nice Little motel. Staff was friendly, and available 24 hours.
Bed was little to firm for my liking
- L (8/5): - Perfect for an overnight stay.
- Judy (6/5): - TV wasnt working properly, difficulty with remote
- Lianne (6/5): - Curb appeal. Lobby needs a renovation.
- Daniel (5/5): -
- Thelma J L (8/5): Clean and affordable - Outside looks it's age, room was updated and clean. Room was on the smaller side, but sufficient for overnight stay. No microwave or coffee maker, but did have a fridge. Would stay again.
- Katherine (8/5): - It was ok
- Susanne (10/5): - Recently updated. Comfy bed. Reasonable rates. If you need a no frills motel this is the one
- Jianhong (7/5): -
- Priyank (8/5): -
- Nicole (6/5): - Good hotel was okay quick stay. Room was really small. Could use a proper breakfast in the morning. Just coffee
- Gurmeet (10/5): - Great Customer service
- Corine (8/5): - Wonderful service by staff
- Randy (10/5): - Very good night for the price I paid. Be warned: the walls are pretty thin, but everyone is pretty quiet. I had to arrive late and I was able to have my room code texted to me which was fantastic.
- Rachelle (8/5): - Nice place. My bed was comfy, my sons' was springy. The front staff attendant was very helpful, carried our large bag up the stairs. There is no elevator to the 2nd floor.
Was clean, but the tub was dirty and the corners of the bathroom floor were dirty. The AC unit was hella loud, but it helped us sleep.
- Lucie (6/5): - Checkin was good but the washroom was not clean.
- scott (6/5): - It was a nice surprise that they had a little for breakfast
- Leverne (9/5): - Everything has been remodeled and was very clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Older place, but well kept
- SHU CHEN (8/5): - Friendly
- Lisette (8/5): - Nice property and friendly staff.
