Guest Reviews
- Kelly (8/5): Cozy, older but comfortable - Comfortable beds and a cute table with 2 chairs. Nice large TV. We brought a Firestick as recommended and enjoyed using it to watch our shows on Netflix. The bathroom was old but decent (everything worked well but the floor tiles were really cracked). No hangers in the closet. For us, overall it was good for a cheap motel stay while visiting family. Thanks!
- Cristiane (10/5): - Gostei bastante! Quarto bonito, bem arrumado e bem confotável.
- long (4/5): - i do not know
- DIEGO (8/5): - Great value for the price, quiet, comfortable rooms, with minigridge and microwave. Some maintenance issues require attention, tub glaze is chipping off, closet was unfinished. 2 remote controls for unknown purposes.
Otherwise, a define thumbs up.
- Obinna (10/5): Excellent - Very comfortable
- Anqi (10/5): - It's worth the price for a short stay near the fall. Overall, it's tidy and clean. The only issue is the toilet smells. The owner may want to check if the sealing is appropriate for the toilets. Both rooms have the same smell issue.
- Jean (2/5): - Bed bugs
- Christina (8/5): - Stayed two nights in room with two beds. Room very old but clean and tidy. Beds were ok lots of pillows and all bedding seemed new. There seemed to be newer flooring and doors but main door was hard to open and bathroom door wouldn’t close properly. It was quiet and only saw one other person staying there. One downfall was people beside us put all there garbage out Friday night and it was still there Sunday and animals had started hanging around it. There’s a cute play area at back for kids and parking was free another bonus. The bathroom fan although works well is in need of a clean. Bathroom was clean though dated and parts of tub paint was chipping. Conditioning shampoo and towels were provided. You could tell someone tries to keep everything neat and tidy with little touches around to add a home feeling. A great budget friendly off the main area motel and perfect for overnight no frills with kids room.
- Braydon (10/5): - I loved every bit of this place. Only issue was the AC didn’t work, and as this week was a more warm week me and my best friend were a little warm, other than that, I booked a 2 bedroom motel room but got keys for a 1 bedroom. I texted Amanda (who is lovely btw) and she responded so quickly addressing the issue and I am so super satisfied with this place. I loved how spacious the room was, all the amenities plus free parking! Which is hard to come by now LOL.
Thanks again Amanda so so much for the amazing hospitality and for everything you did. When I make another trip down, I’ll be sure to book this place again!
-Braydon:)
- Dale (8/5): - Room has nice character, it is obvious that the owners care and have put best efforts to have things in good functioning order. light is bright, good for poor vision, big step to get in the door, door opens and swings easily. toilet and sink are band new. this room is bright white, bed is soft and older but comfortable like visiting your Aunty, lol.
It feels loved, nice vibe. It is dark, away from city lights yet in the heart of Lundy Lane. Easy to get to. I will come again.
[Just a note if you are alergic to cigarettes it is not for you, light smell of cigarettes.]
- Abhishek (6/5): - The property manager is all messaging and no one on site to help so property looks very shady and not safe for family visitors.
Rooms smelled like smoke and things were broken inside felt really unsafe with family sleeping over night. Would not recommend for family travellers.
- Lori (10/5): - Quiet cozy private clean good area i like it there and really good price
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Sink was already clogged up, thermostat was locked up, fridge was plugged in but didn't get cold, bath tub needed deep cleaning, host didn't respond to any messages about these issues
- Lori (10/5): - Love it
- Kapardhi (8/5): - Affordable, no complaints
- Mitch (6/5): - It's a decent spot if your in Niagara and just need a spot to crash after all your activities. super affordable for that.
- Joel (10/5): Good value - Basic, clean, and comfortable room. The area was quiet. Woukd stay again.
- Nwahuwereuba (10/5): - Good and very comfortable
- AUDREY (10/5): - This is not a five star resort but it is quiet and was clean, it’s not a place we’d hang out and spend the day, but it was great for our stop.
- Jenny (10/5): - I agree with tbe another review. You don't have to book a hotel or break your bank to get exceptional services and comfy stay. You just need to find a good one like this Inn. The bed there made me sleep like a baby. Thank you!
- Anh Thu Phan (10/5): - Very good we will be back
- Valerie (10/5): - For the cost, we loved the product property!
- mike (8/5): - good value
- Al (10/5): - Had theme for each of the rooms had a water cooler but no cups to drink with
- Peter (10/5): - You get exactly what is advertised: a room that is neat, clean, and with comfortable beds. Minimal amenities but very affordable.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Cute little room close to everything. Bed was super comfortable and very clean. Perfect for price
- kifllemaryam (10/5): - It is very nice motel.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We wanted an affordable and clean place to sleep :) It's an older property, simple, clean - exactly what we needed. thank you!! Convenient, close to the Falls and St. Catharines. It was perfect! Management proactive with emails and instructions, flawless check-in and check out.
- Rodney (6/5): - Room was clean, bedding was clean, shower towels were fine, hand towels looked like they were dirty rags. Probably the most impersonal stay i've ever had. You get your room key from the mailbox and you text if you need anything. Single ventilation system with no screens on the windows. If you are looking for a cheap, no frills and clean place to stay this is it.. My only major complaint was the room reeked of cigarette smoke...
- Joseph (6/5): - Tereible customer sevice. We arrived on motorcycle wet from rain and wanted to dry clothes but had no heater or alternative heat source to dry clothes
- DOROTHY (8/5): - Unique themd rooms. Ours was Paris.
- Shannon (8/5): - Place was clean and comfortable. Definitely an older place that could use some updates and general maintenance. Would recommend as a quiet affordable place to stay.
- Martin (4/5): - As per usual, when going into a hotel room, my wife and I take our shoes off. I was wearing sandals and bare feet. The room is maybe 12 feet from door to the bathroom. Went to take a shower after my wife and the black coming off the bottom of my feet from the short walk across the room was disgusting. To put this in context, I wore the same sandals home and when I got in the shower at home, my feet were totally clean.
Lack of electrical outlets. They state they don't have cable so I brought along my android box. I had to move the dresser over and unplug the only working lamp in the room to get a place to plug in my android box. Lamp on bedside table was not plugged in as only plug on that side of the room was behind the middle of the headboard and cord was too short to reach. No outlet in the bathroom for hair dryer or shaver.
- Lori (10/5): - Cant wait to stay there again really reasinable price and convenient location and quiet
- Meryem (8/5): - It was just like home, every thing was clean and cool
- Zean (10/5): - The owner was extremely nice and helpful and responds right away. Checking in and out was super easy thank you for a great stay!
- RANDY (10/5): - Very comfy. Thank you.
- Corinda (10/5): - Quiet
- Gursimran (10/5): - It felt like home
- Robert (8/5): - Room was clean and neat, with no lingering odours, such as residual tobacco smell that often occurs at other places. Check in and out were expedient; no personal contact but it was available if required. Property shows its age and needs some attention, particularly the loose floor tiles.
- Dustin (10/5): - Cute little motel that was super clean and comfy. Will stay at again.
- Brenda (6/5): You get what you pay for. - Until a few days before our stay we learned that there was no office, or physical contact with owner. Picked up a key In an envelope in a mailbox. Dead plant hanging outside the room, gravel, dirt and broken pieces of pavement, and a very old plastic chair that was very dirty, sitting outside the door. Basically it was a room with a bed, that was sufficiently comfortable and clean. Air conditioning worked, and the shower was powerful and hot. There was no outlet in the bathroom, to shave or blow your hair dry, and we were supplied for a 2 night stay with one thin bath towel each. There is also no cleaning of the floor or fresh towels each day. You could see the ground in a large separation of the plank flooring. The room was small and had no real comfortable place to sit. There was no cable either. We needed a cheap place to sleep, for a two night stay, and that is exactly what we got.
- Stacy (8/5): Quiet night for a good price. - We were staying for a brief stopover, so picked this very inexpensive motel to save money on our trip. It served its purpose for a quick night sleep. Host was very clear that this was an older hotel with limited amenities & that worked for our needs.
- Deja (8/5): - No fancy bells or whistles, owner was upfront about that. However, overall it was a "cute" little place. Comfortable beds , clean place. Still needs a few upgrades/ renovations but still ok. I would stay there again.
- Sonia (8/5): - Overall seamless check-in and I knew the property had gone through some recent reno, I guess it's still a work in process. The bathroom still needs quite a bit of work, especially the shower/tub. The room was also missing a rod in the closet area so I had no wear to hang my dress and jacket. The room temperature was great, AC kept the room cool on a hot summer day. The bed was decent.
- Michael (10/5): - Charming, and just enough, priced well
- Al (10/5): - Room that was decorated like honeymoon suit. Was very romantic
- Adil (10/5): - Nice place, clean and cheap
- Sahil (6/5): - Its was kk
- Rex (10/5): - Yellow Pillow Inn is a great place to stay if ur up to resting and going around Niagara falls. Close to restos and mostly everything. The rooms are fair for its price.
- Amin (4/5): - Needs renovations
- André Luiz (8/5): - If you just need a bed to sleep. This place is fine. I see a lot of hotels with bed bugs and this one doesn't have it. The sheets have some hair from other people but I see a lot of hotels with the same issue. I am fine with it. The room needs renovation and the owner knows that and I hope she has sucess with it. I recommend if you want to stay just to sleep.
- Hyon ji (10/5): - Quite area
- jason (10/5): - Nice little older motel. The owner did a very good job of setting expectations. It could use some renovations but the beds and pillows are comfortable and the room was clean. Nice to support a small business.
- Wendy (10/5): Comfortable Stay - Room was spacious, nice to have a full kitchen available. Bed was comfortable. Shower was great. Room was clean. Wifi was also very good. Binder in room with close by stores, restaurants, etc. was very helpful.
- Janet (8/5): - As expected, no frills accommodations that was safe, clean and comfortable. It was a holiday weekend but the price was reasonable. Good communication from staff.
- Melissa (10/5): A place to rest your head - It was exactly what we needed. Amanda was very nice and easy to get a hold of. If all you need is a room to sleep in and a place to take a shower, this is it. It's affordable because there aren't any bells and whistles. It was perfect! Thanks again
- Dhamodaran (6/5): - Overall, the stay was serene. However, the bathroom requires some maintenance as there was plaster peeling in the floor. However, the service from Amanda, was very prompt.
- Renee (6/5): Beautiful/clean room - Pro: The room looked exactly like the pictures on the websites and was clean. Con: It was just a bit cold.
- Michelle (6/5): - Convenient
- Logan (10/5): - The girl in the office cares about the property and guests. She was very helpful with reccomending local places to eat. I booked another stay in the next couple of days and will be back often. The property is older. Its basic and not the hilton. But its clean and very quiet. Thanks Amanda for the great stay.
- Douglas (10/5): - This is a case of getting what you pay for and it's the best price around for those just wanting a solid place to sleep on your drive though Niagara falls. The WiFi was slow but great cell phone reception so we tethered and watched Netflix. Great parking and easy to really to great restaurants.
- Mohamed (10/5): - Wonderful
- Hilda (10/5): - Came from Ohio for the weekend. Great place that is close to all the Niagra attractions. Very nice staff. Clean comfortable room. Enjoyed my stay. Thank you, Amanda
- Boryana (8/5): - Accommodation is adequate to the price.
- Nelson (4/5): - Wi-fi was so weak it was unusable. And it was freezing at night. I texted the person twice at the number they provided, but no response.
- Jessica (10/5): - We had a GREAT experience at the Yellow Pillow Inn. We arrived quite early, (2 hours before check in), on our way to a wedding, and they quickly finished preparing our room to give us the keys early. When we got back late at night, we were extremely pleased with the cleanliness of the room, and the comfort of the beds. I’ll recommend this place to everyone I know, it was fantastic! I heard the current owners bought the place very recently, and they are doing great things! 10/10 stay from us!
- lillian (8/5): - The hotel need a little TLC but looks like is been done the AC did not work but but the weather was not that hot so we were fine.
- Douglas (10/5): - Quite
- Miriam (6/5): - I didn't like the smell as soon as you walked into the room. Even though, it said it was a non-smoking environment, it had a smell of smoke as if someone had just smoked in it. Also, I did not like the smell of the sheets and pillows, they didn't have a fresh smell, I had to put some of my perfume on them. There was no soap in the bathroom only shampoo and the hot water was not enough for 2 showers, my daughter had to take a cold shower.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Overall OK - Pros+ Clean room with small fridge, microwave and hot/cold water dispenser for drinks. Parking
Cons- No cable T V. No coffee maker. 15-20 minutes drive from main attractions
- carla (4/5): - Instructions for check in not followed. Told to take the keys at the mailbox. It was empty. I had to text the host, no response. Finally rang the bell at their office and someone came out to hand us the key.
Room was dirty. Bedsheets had stains that looks like “oil” was spilled on it. Both on the fitted sheets and line sheets. Pillows seems new though. Room came with a small fridge and a microwave. These are the only positive things I can say, and the price was good for the location.
- Ilona (6/5): - It's an older inn. Needs repainting and repairs, doors in the bathroom were warped and did not close completely. Glaze in the bathtub was peeling. Sheets were microfiber instead of cotton, I don’t like that. Beds were very comfortable, with 4 extra fluffy pillows. It was very clean.
There is no cable TV, just a few random stations, you can rent a "streaming device" though (I do not know what that is). This is not listed in the inn description on travel websites.
AC was a wall unit, very old, small, and noisy and it only went down to 24C. Then it died, we could not turn it back on anymore. The owner is very responsive though, she offered another room, $50 off current room, or to refund our money if we decide to leave. The other room only had one bed and AC was central, with no way for us to change settings, so we stayed in the original room and slept with windows open.
Area is safe, quiet, with plenty of food within 5 min walking distance.
I would not stay there again - for the price we paid, I expect working AC and cable TV.
- Zhi Wei (4/5): - Towels were sitting on bathroom ground when we checked in and looked like left behind last customer.
- SUDIKCHYA (10/5): - It was a nice stay.!
