Guest Reviews
- SHERRY (9/5): Very pleasant, clean and quiet. -
- Richard (8/5): -
- Richard (8/5): -
- Thomas (8/5): - Quite, staff was friendly Bed, close to my appointment, WiFi, TV
- Noreen (4/5): It could have been alot nicer with better upkeep and cleanliness - I like the idea of individual units I was expecting the units to be old, however, they were dirty. The bathroom was the worst area. With a good scrub and some minor repairs these units would be an excellent place to stay for the price.
- Ruth (6/5): -
- K (8/5): -
- Wilma (5/5): It was fine - Clean and comfortable bed Outdated, needs some fixing, they didn’t clean unless we asked, but were accommodating when asked
- Margret (4/5): - It was quiet The floors had NOT been swept or washed, the bathroom floor was the worst.
- Gall (5/5): Bed was very comfortable - It is close to my daughters home Usually this place is very clean but this time I was surprised. The beds were clean but not sure when was the last time the floor was mopped. I spilt some water on the floor and took one of the in room towels to wipe it up and it was black.
- Adele (1/5): - Nothing. The bathtub was full of gravel. Used syringe on the bathroom floor. Weird smell, thin walls, no remote for TV.
- Kirsten (6/5): Adequate. Friendly people. budget friendly and safe - Easy to locate. The young woman who received me was extremely polite and answered all my questions well. I needed a warm, dry and inexpensive safe place to stay. That was what I received Easy to get to gas and grocery store from there. TV worked and wifi was excellent. Well for the cost not much could be better. Some of the chalets have been refurbished but they are old.
- Nicole (9/5): - The bed was extremely comfortable and made for a great place to relax The towel rack in the bathroom came a part and fell and sliced my toe open when I was getting a towel for my shower.... I was able to put the towel rack back together though...
- Evans (7/5): Will be back - I had strong wifi because I was right next door to the office. Close to the gas station and a few fast food restaurants. Not too far from Walmart.
- Evans (7/5): Will come back - Location was great was close to everything. Staff was very polite and kind and helpful. Had problems with the wifi and the lady helped to solve the problem. Thank you very much.
- Laurie-Ann (6/5): - I liked that it's quite and private. They are pet friendly. Huge plus as I am a dog mom. The cable wasn't usable the whole time and the wifi signal was weak.
- Melissa (5/5): It was a fair experience staying here - Good location, good value, friendly staff, NO bed bugs, smelled fresh and looked clean, new flooring (but dirty), own unit and entrance with little seating area on the front deck. The stained bedding and towels (they smelled clean just stained), un-swept and quite dirty floors, uncomfortable beds, mouldy looking caulking in the bathtub/shower area, and Looking out the window/door and seeing a huge overflowing garbage bin with garbage scattered all over the ground (including dirty diapers).
- mary (4/5): I could have seen past all the things but cleanliness is a necessity, regardless of price. - No breakfast. Location was great Bathroom was cringy. Filthy baseboards. Urine and hairs behind the toilet. Water marks on the shower walls from improper cleaning. Walls and door dirty. Taps needed a scrub. Stained towels. Stained mattress pad. Cigarette burns in the comforter. Stained sheets. Floor was dirty. Outside door handle was loose and was tightened with electrical tape. No deadbolt or chain on the inside. Felt unsafe. It’s unfortunate, great location but just very unclean and unkept. So much potential.
- Lori (6/5): - The room was ok Towels & bedding
- Marko (1/5): -
- Nicole (10/5): -
- Jean (10/5): -
- Parth (10/5): -
- Katelyn (8/5): - Very kind staff! Clean room! Cozy and comfortable!
- Belanger (9/5): -
- Catherine (9/5): -
- Peter (4/5): I’m too cold…to sum up anything… - Location Very cold….. we froze all night…. Heater wasn’t producing enough heat..
- Belle-Marie (8/5): Little Chalet 'Heaven' - The quirkiness of the hotel. Little Chalets in a row with private front decks.
Super Clean ... No Noise (because each Chalet was self-contained). Wonderful Staff. Off the 'beaten path' ... felt like u were in the forest. Definitely needs updating.
- Vy (8/5): comfortable place to stay with good price - Close to the main road and all the convenience places Nice look, good price
- Khris (9/5): - Cute place. The carpet was a little old. Needed some upgrading..Overall it was a nice little place to stay.
- Tyler (9/5): -
- William (7/5): - Friendly, accommodating staff. Some updates on furnishings.
- Michele (7/5): The stay was nice and the staff were great - The location was great. The rooms had a cabin feel. Internet was sporadic. Unable to watch TV or use any devices requiring Internet.
The room towels and blankets were clean however were covered with stains
- Brenda (6/5): -
- Robert (6/5): - TV didn’t work
- jim (8/5): Met our needs - Very convenient. Close to the hiway, and lots of amenities. Price was great for a quick over night stop. Rooms are a bit dated. Could have been a little cleaner. Few repairs and touch-ups would make a big difference.
- Norman (7/5): - Self contained chalets so no noise from other guests
- Carey (8/5): We love this place and we stay every time we drive through. - The staff is great. And we love the coziness of it. This stay seemed to have more traffic noise this stay.
- giffen (8/5): -
- Peter (8/5): Enjoyed the stay… - Privacy Not enough towels
- Dorita (1/5): The place needs some work; once it gets « cleaned up », it would be a convenient location for an overnight stay. - Convenient location and good bed A mouse that woke us up during the night and made a hole in my backpack!
- Margaret (9/5): -
- Desiree (2/5): Would not stay at this motel again. - The location was a great The ad said the rooms were upgraded, however the only thing we could see was a thin coat of paint on the walls only. The towels were washed but stains were still on them. The bathroom was not clean, we would not even shower in the tub. Bed was clean however top bedding and pillows cases were dirty.
- Roger (5/5): Not good - Location and freindly staff Room was musty and carpets dirty. Could use updating.
- Marc (5/5): - Het was simpelweg gewoon vies !
- Doug (7/5): -
- Lloyd (9/5): Great value for stay - Great location, right off main highway near food & fuel services.
- Case (1/5): - This place is a dump. It was filthy and run down. It had stains on the bed sheets. The little fridge was a solid block of ice in the freezer. The entrance door was covered in black greasy hand prints. We were there for 10 minutes and when I went back to the office to complain there was no one there. I put the key in the Dropbox by the door and left. I was lucky enough to find a room at the Comfort Inn down the street. This is the worst place I have ever seen.
- Lorrie (1/5): Great location. Good idea but all the chalets need to be urgently renovated - Location VERY run down. Not clean. Flies.
- Corrie (6/5): - Cute little cabins but wasn’t very clean , sheet and comforter was stained.
Bathroom counters and specially floors were filthy and sink was plugged
- Mayhew (10/5): -
- Reginald (4/5): - There was trouble with the wifi. Old carpeting.
- Payten (2/5): - Room was dirty, flies/beetles in room, floor was wet, fridge was not working properly. I left at around 11pm and went somewhere else.
- Steven (10/5): - Loved it
- Dwayne (6/5): -
- Jaden (2/5): - Probably the dirtiest and grossest hotel room I’ve ever stayed in, checked in and immediately checked out! Avoid at all costs!
- Dieth Aquino (6/5): - I have decided to stay for a night with The Little Chalet Motel for their cute design and convenient location. However, I may have to suggest for a screen door to avoid small insects (flies, etc) coming inside from the outside as well as the stained sheets need to be changed when necessary.
But overall, I have enjoyed my stay for convenience.
- Jodi (2/5): - This property looked decent in the online pics, just a basic room. When I opened the door the stench of cigarettes and dirty feet hits you. The floor had black grease? Stains all over the already dirty carpet. I went to Walmart and purchased a pillow, 2 blankets and a candle. I did not want to sleep on the dirty flat pillows provided. This property needs a zero rating for cleanliness, front desk check in was friendly.
- Roy (6/5): - While the property appears to have been upgraded the unit we had needed new mattresses. We got 3 bath mats instead of 1 bath mat and 2 hand towels. There was no hair dryer in the room. Other than these few issues the property was very unique and convenient to get in and out of.
- Jade (6/5): - It was somewhere to sleep and that was it. We checked in late and left early. Room smelled like smoke
- Gregory (10/5): - Very nice small cabins Woukd stay they in the future
- curtis (10/5): - it was okay
- Diane (10/5): - This is a unique property and the price was phenomenal. It’s an older property with surprising extras, my favourite being the soaker tub. I’ll definitely stay again when passing through Manitoba.
- Deborah (1/5): Terrible room - The price The room was extremely dirty. Cigarette burn marks on the rug and comforters, terrible smell, dead bugs on the floor, spider webs in the corners and window, flooring in bathroom along tub lifting up, burn mark on flooring in bathroom under the electric rad that was right beside the tub, dents in doors and fridge, bottoms of feet were black because of the filthy rug, sub floor rotting near bathroom, foot almost went through, water stains on all the baseboards of the room. In room 15. This place needs major renovations and should be condemned until it meets proper stands.
- Trevor (3/5): Would be a nice place if some effort was put into cleaning and upkeep. Would be able to charge more with renovations as - Good communication with owner Only thing clean was the sheets…. I think. No effort cleaning the floors, hulled sunflowers seeds, flys ext. bathroom was not clean at all, floors and around toilet, sink scummy, shower curtain appeared to have never been washed, used towel still hanging on the curtain rod.
- Melissa (4/5): Needs an update - The room was clean and check in super easy. The room looks a little rough, which is not a big deal, but our blankets and sheets had cigarette burns. I could overlook all of this, but the biggest issue we had was the tap water smelled strongly of sulphur.
- Sask (2/5): - There was people next to us who were screaming the ENTIRE night!!!! The beds looked like they weren’t clean and it smelled heavily of chemicals.
- Rose (10/5): - Was great cute place
- Richard (4/5): This place would have been probably cute and fun to stay 20 years ago ....needs serious renovation a - I liked the idea of my own living space not having anyone below or above making noise up and down a hallway during the night. The door looked like it was kicked in previously and not repaired .....the shower and the sink drains were clogged with hair and unable to drain properly ....there was water damage all over the walls and bathroom floor trim .....the air conditioner was rattling and knocking so loud it could not be left on while trying to sleep so it had to be shut off....while it being off all night the room was too hot.
- curtis (2/5): - you get what you pay for that’s for sure
- Patricia (4/5): - I expected shabby, run down and I expected clean. Instead, I found it’s filthy. We are in unit 13 and stuck here, two double beds, dirty/stained bed spreads and duvets. At least we are separated from the duvets by seemingly clean sheets. We THINK. The carpet is hugely stained and appears to have never been shampooed. There is dirt, dust and simple marks on the bathroom floor that would come off with no more than a rub, but alas - not before we arrived. We won’t walk around without shoes on at all times. Our feet stick to the floor. The fridge is clean and the person at the front desk told me how to figure out the faded panel of the air conditioner cuz I sure couldn’t read it due to it being permanently rubbed off the display. My few positives.
There are two beds and they charged me an extra fee for a second person. Ridiculous.
There is housing out back that looks very rundown and long term with many tennants.
- Brock (4/5): - Homeless encampment beside property. Over flowing dumpster. Owner questioning about what’s in my trailer, which I felt was an invasion of privacy. I slept in my truck to make sure nothing got stolen and had my father put stuff in front of the door to hotel room to prevent anyone trying to come in.
- Leon (8/5): Beds are comfy - It was neat little chalet The carpets in the room are very dirty and outdated, the air conditioning unit didn’t seem to work very well kept room ok but never really cooled it down
- Robert (3/5): Fumigate - The location The mouse running around and the two wood ticks I found in the bathroom
- pamela (2/5): - any good reviews are all fake bots , do not be fooled , this was the worst hotel by far , blood n walls , smelled really bad and carpets so dirty that we had all poo stains on the carpet , and urine smell bed was dirty towels were dirty and they have bed bugs ,,if you DO NOT want to waste your money and turn a small vac or travelling into nightmare DO NOT STAY HERE ITS WORSE THEN BAD ..HOPE I CAN SAVE EVEN ONE PERSON FROM THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE TEARED DOWN AND GET NEW OWNERS ..THEY ARE DIRTY CLEANERS ARE NOT CLEANING AND CARPETS ARE BEYOND HELP NEEDS TO BE TEARED OUT....
- Lorne (4/5): - They don’t have full time staff in the office. In order to get ahold of someone you have to call a number posted on a sign in the window. But they don’t answer the phones.
The rooms weren’t that clean. They needed to vacuum and deep clean the rooms.
- Dennis (5/5): Passable -
- Ivan (2/5): Very poor -
- Tommy (10/5): - Good quick place to stop .clean and a good price
- Sam (5/5): Passable -
- steven (4/5): - The floors were disgusting. My feet were so dirty from walking on them. There was also someone’s hair in the shower. The room smelled old.
- Michel (5/5): Passable -
- Richardson (9/5): Superb -
- Joao (10/5): Absolutely wonderful! - It’s very unique and cozy! The cots look like small fairy tale entrances and , once you get inside they are quite spacious and welcoming! BEAUTIFUL! In all honesty, it’s been the best so far!
Job well done!
- Jackie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Harrison (8/5): Very good -
- Louise (6/5): Not quite glamping! - This was a utilitarian room. The beds were comfortable but the rug badly needed to be shampooed. The outside door lock was iffy and the bathroom door, once closed, had to be opened from the outside. The sink drain was in need of repair. Definitely not a luxury stay!
- Laure (10/5): - Great experience! Will be back!
- Atkinson (8/5): Overall, the stay was good. Just be prepared - the wifi is not reliable and the amenities are dated. - Very unique - loved the deck and the chairs and to be able to sit outside and enjoy the weather. The wifi did not work well at all. I was trying to do some work and nothing would save. I lost progress which was frustrating. The coffee pot would not turn on for us to make coffee in the morning.
- Michael (10/5): Quaint cabins - This motel had quaint little separate cabins that were well stocked and clean. Very nice.
- Brent (6/5): - Wifi
- Liana-Erika (10/5): - Cute little cabins, very friendly staff
- Theresa (8/5): - Bed was to soft for me, my friend slept well in the other bed thou
- Kane (2/5): Never again - Didn’t stay to dirty was sketchy if guest were leaving
- Devonshire (8/5): Very good -
- Myra (6/5): - It was ok for the price. Nothing exceptional
- Vescio (8/5): Passing through on travels was a perfect place for a night stay before getting back on the road - Lady at front desk was very helpful property was a nice private room for the night and was different than what I’ve stayed in before Our room wasn’t as clean as I liked but the lady at front desk was quick to come and fix any issues and was happy to help
- Marissa (2/5): - If I could give 0 stars, I would. This place is absolutely disgusting and I wouldn't want my worst enemy to spend a night. The room stinks like mildew, mold and smoke. The carpet is absolutely filthy, the bedding was all dirty and stained. The furniture is all old, dirty or broken. The walls and doors have never been cleaned and you can easily tell. The tv has barely any channels, the remote hardly works. There was no alarm clock or hand soap in the washroom. It truly looks like the after morning 5 minute clean up of a party at a crack house. I almost want to call Manitoba health and have this place shut down. You could not pay me enough to ever step foot in one of those chalets again.
- Jamie (8/5): - Was good clean never had a problem
