Guest Reviews
- Beth (10/5): - This is a charming rustic inn. The rooms are a walk-up from outside. ( Keep heavy bags or bad knees in mind) The room was very clean and the bed was so cozy and comfortable after a long travel day. Lovely antique pieces along with modern creature comforts like AC and microwave smart tv. Internet connection was better than many of our Maritime stops. We enjoyed sitting out on the deck for a while. This location felt very private. George was prompt with instructions and communication and check in was easy:) Lovely little stay on our way through exploring the island.
- Maurice (10/5): - Cute, clean room, comfortable bed, very clean.
- Douglas (10/5): - The property is unique. Decor is interesting. Staff are very helpful.
The only downside was the steep stairs to the second floor.
- Debbie (8/5): - Nice central location and the host was amazing! Very helpful.
- Ashleigh (10/5): - Wonderful place to spend a quiet night. Room was quaint, comfortable bed and great location!
- Cheryl (10/5): - George the host was gracious, helpful and brought over extra towels and plastic bags as I was very ill. The room was clean, bed very comfortable and shower was hot. Would rent again.
- Cheryl (10/5): - Quaint accommodations, perfect for a few nights stay with my daughter. The proprietor was excellent about making us feel welcomed and comfortable.
- Valerie (8/5): - Don't let the outside fool you. We were worried when we arrived. The building was old and weathered looking from outside. We were worried what the inside might look like. The inside was very clean and well maintained. The bed was very comfortable. The host emailed us with instructions and was quick to respond and check on us. Would recommend
- Louise (6/5): Basic and charming - Excellent bed and bedding.
Clean unit
Air cond quiet and efficient
Would like
to have liquid soap to wash my hand.
Glasses and a toaster.
Tea and coffee (no sweet Nescafé)
To call it an inn is a bit much. When we arrive I thought we had the wrong address
- Wendy (10/5): - This is a charming place and it was a wonderful stay. I would definately stay here again. George, the owner was friendly, kind and very responsive.
- Angela (8/5): - Off the beaten path so bring your own coffee and groceries there is a little fridge. There is a spot that opens across the road at 9am for coffee and snacks but I needed coffee earlier. Quite community, host very helpful checked in with me the day before. The outside and stairs might be daunting, but once inside the room everything was lovely. Good sleep. Nice beaches not a long drive away.
- Marie Pier (10/5): - Endroit conviviale et propre !
Bon arret apres le traversier arrivee facile et bonne communications des proprietaire
- Jacqueline (8/5): - Our one night stay was enjoyable. The room was clean and linens were lovely. Wifi access was great
- Colin (10/5): Awesome host, cozy spot! - We stayed for 5 nights and toured the island.
A great base for our travels and affordable!
- Amanda (10/5): - Cozy, nice amenities and great location.
- KELLY (10/5): - Great location
- Clinton (10/5): Surprisingly excellent place to stay. - George was very helpful and quick to respond to our email quiries. Lock box system worked well. Room was clean and ready for our early check in. AC worked well.
- Jennifer (10/5): - What a perfect place to stay. The room had so much charm and all amenities.
Of course I love Mount Stewart...family close.
- Jell (10/5): - We had a great stay at Cherry Hill—the room was clean and comfortable.
- Lillian (8/5): Convenient and comfy! - Right off Confederation Trail, good communication with host, comfy and clean, perfect for a bike packing trip!
- Jenny (10/5): - Great stay!
- Kevin (6/5): - I don’t want to be too critical as this was really the only option in this area and as we were biking we didn’t realize there would be limited dining options. The property has some great character but could use a little more TLC. A TV in the room would have been nice as again there wasn’t anything to do.
- Brooklynn (10/5): - Cute property with very comfortable beds, check in was very easy, would go again! Hosts were very friendly and accommodating.
- Deirdre (6/5): - It is quite rustic and the stairs into the area where my room was were a bit scary and narrow. The room was very clean and comfortable but there was no check in (just a lock box with my key); however, the owner did drop by to say hello and was friendly. It is on a major road so is not very quiet.
- LYNDA (6/5): - This rental was okay, considering the low cost. A unique experience in a refurbished 80 year old home.
Two downsides , there's nowhere to go for dinner ( or early breakfast) and the staircase up to the rooms is very steep.
- Tim (8/5): - It was a very nice room, the outside needs a little refreshing but we enjoyed our stay
- Kathleen (8/5): - Sweet location, beds were very comfortable. Lots of mosquitoes, could not sit outside at night.
- Michael (8/5): - The room was reasonable. Having wifi was necessary since there wasn't cable. The air conditioning was very good.
There was not a grocery outlet. There was only a gas station convenience store.
This is great stopping place, if you are using the Canada Trial system.
- Nicola (10/5): - Owner is great! Good communication. I had booked two rooms that were on opposite sides of the building, and he offered to move one of them so both rooms were side-by-side and we could share a deck. Building fairly old but rooms had everything we needed (including coffee, tea, AC) and beds were comfortable. Worked well for us on our cycling trip because of proximity to Confederation Trail
- Sally (8/5): - The room was surprisingly neat and lovely!
Didn't care for the outside stairs.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Good Value - A gem off the beaten path that people who appreciate character and the basics. Host was very helpful and recommended our new favorite beach spot! We appreciated the complintary coffee and shampoo. We didn't try the whirlpool jets but the tub was a bonus. We liked the stairs and had no need for an elevator but somwthing to note for those who avoid stairs. Parking was free, ample & onsite. Towels and linens were provided. The mini fridge was a nice bonus. We arrived on the hottest day yet and the AC worked excellent and the window opens and there's a screen door and a ceiling fan. Things to note it is kind of close to the road but having a balcony is nice. The bakery across the street was great, simple and affordable. Suggestion the room could use some new chairs soon- but definately good value
- Derek (10/5): - Unique property that you can see shared in the history of the town. It is right beside the Confederation Trail, so good location. George was quite accommodating in helping us with our e-bikes and ensuring that we were taken care of. The folks who own the bakery right across the street were very helpful as well. Enjoyed our stay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Awesome - Beautiful comfy room
- Celine (8/5): - Rien de plus
- Esther (2/5): Don’t stay here - Lovely rustic area but no hot water for a bath I needed for a sore back in the morning No tv. Climbing up very steep stairs and going down??? Yard very unkempt. Wet weeds dragging suitcase through. Some 2ft high. No place nearby for breakfast. Bakery closed. Need I go on. Would love a partial refund.
- Nathalie (10/5): - We were looking for peace and tranquility and the place was awesome in that regard. Would have loved to know that there wasn't any late restaurant in town. And there is not a lot of food alternatives. But the stay was awesome. I recommand. Just bring some food or prepare more than I did. 😅
- Jin (6/5): - Too many mosquitos
- Jacques (10/5): - George, the owner, was very helpful and pleasant.
- Janita (10/5): - It was a little out of the way in terms of where we spent most of our time while on the island (Kensington/Cavendish), but it was quiet, clean, and the owner George is super nice.
- Jared (4/5): - Lack of dining , no tv
- Glen (8/5): - All good
- Glen (10/5): - All good
