Zelfs de dame van de huishoudelijke dienst gaf ons een mini rondleiding waar we, onder andere, het zwembad en fitnesscentrum konden vinden. In de avond een biertje drinken met chickenwings was heerlijk. De kamer/studio was erg mooi, ruim en schoon. Nothing!

• Andreia (9/5): Amazing breakfast, staff are amazing, housekeepers do an amazing job, they Left everything cleaned. - The pool, and Gym with towels, we do not need to bring ours , it's a bonus 😃 games room, laundry room are amazing, amazing staff, cleaning and maintaining are regular in food Court, great staff in the breakfast area always replacing food and keeping the area clean all the time. The only thing that surprised us was that the reservation was for 4 people in the room and we only had 3 units: of glasses, plates, forks, knives, mugs, and the same amount of bath towels, also for 3 people. On the second day, 3 clean towels were replaced, and I had to ask for another one because we were 4 in the room. That was the only thing they didn't confirm how many people would be in the room. Otherwise, everything was excellent, from the regular cleaning to the very friendly staff, always ready to help.

Unfortunately they list gluten-free options in their restaurant and breakfast but not available when requested which was a disappointment.

Suites are well-equipped with the kitchenette and great for families or longer stays. Location on the Main Street is convenient for getting around town, but not picturesque. Walkable to grocery, Starbucks, Dollarama, drug store, and some fast food. Quick drive to downtown area and the main beach.

• Julia M (10/5): - There is a bar and restaurant (lighter pub fare) on site, games room, complimentary coffee, tea and fountain drinks, lots of comfy seating areas in the lobby. Pool is a bit small, and there is no hot tub.
• Marcela (2/5): - Even though the hotel said it was pet friendly. It never stated that you needed to call or message them that you had a pet that they only had limited number of pet friendly rooms. So when I arrived, I book for two queen size beds in a suite and the staff saw my dog and when is it a service dog and I said no when I book it said pet friendly says oh no you were supposed to call us or messages that you had a pet because now we need to move rooms around so they gave me a room with a king size bed and a sofa bed on the first floor. Where there was traffic of coming in and out which cause the door, pressure on the hotel room door so that every single time somebody would come in that pressure would move the door and would activate my dog so I couldn’t sleep throughout the whole entire night because there was that issue. When I told him about it in the morning. He was like oh sorry to hear that but I paid $500 including a $35 fee for the pet which is not listed on the site. You have to go into property detail. It was just a bad experience.

• 950Walkers (2/5): Shower Hazard - Hi Hotel was great, and rooms in good condition but reason for my poor review is that the bathroom shower was extremely slippery and they do not provide bath mats. I called front desk asked if rooms had bath mats and they said no. It seemed like i was not the first person to ask. This is a serios safety hazard and liability and hope management rectifies ASAP. Otherwise good hotel

• ThePianoManII (10/5): Spacious, new, and friendly staff - New, spacious and very friendly hotel. The hotel was built in November 2023 so it's not even two years old-attached to a Holiday Inn Express (that was built a couple years earlier). It shows. It still has "new hotel" smell. ;) We stayed in a two bedroom suite that was very spacious. We had dietary restrictions, and Mia (loved the British accent) was terrific dealing with it. The front desk staff were always friendly, and within a day of our check in, they already had memorized my name. That was impressive. The GM, Trevor, resolved a problem that had arisen in our reservation, in a very moral way. He helped to make our stay comfortable. We enjoyed the pool, the pool table, the shuffleboard table, the breakfasts, the few minutes drive away Port Elgin Beach that has free parking, around 25 minutes to Sauble (now renamed Saugeen) beach, and the 90 minute drive to Tobermory (book a reservation in advance on the Parks Canada website as they get booked up for the "Grotto"). The Singing Sands beach is included in the parking fee for Grotto but it's a first come-first served, which could mean you'll be going in circles, waiting for an opening in the full lot before they'll let you in.

• Annette (10/5): - This property was great. The staff were amazing, the free extras were lovely, soft drinks, snacks etc. the pool was not very clean. Huge chunks of hair in it, and hair all over the pool deck but I was able to use the net to clean the pool. That was the only downfall.
• Aditya (9/5): Best option for your next stay in Port Elgin - We recently stayed at Staybridge Suites in Port Elgin for 3 days, and it was truly one of the best stays we’ve ever had! The hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. The facilities and amenities were top-notch, and the entire staff was incredibly warm and helpful. A special shout-out to Kim at the front desk, who went above and beyond in guiding us to explore the area and even shared some amazing hidden gems we wouldn’t have discovered otherwise. Her friendly approach made us feel truly welcomed. The breakfast was excellent, offering a wide variety of options to suit everyone’s taste. Parking was spacious and convenient, and all the major tourist attractions were just a short drive away. We were completely satisfied with our stay and would highly recommend Staybridge Suites Port Elgin to anyone visiting the area. Can’t wait to return! NA
• Emily (4/5): - I’ve stayed at this hotel before and had an amazing experience, which is why I was really looking forward to returning. Unfortunately, this visit didn’t live up to the same standard. Upon arrival, our suite was missing some of the basic essentials that were advertised. There were no towels or toiletries like shampoo or conditioner, and the soap dispensers were broken. The bathroom also didn’t appear to have been properly cleaned, which was quite disappointing. Breakfast, which I remembered fondly from my previous stay, was also noticeably limited this time around. Normally, I wouldn’t let small inconveniences affect my stay, but given that we booked a suite and paid nearly $700 for just one night, I had hoped for a much better experience. I truly hope this feedback helps bring the hotel back to the high standards I once enjoyed.

There was melted snow runoff from the rooftop puddling up and freezing, making for icy conditions when coming out the one side door. The fridge in our unit had a smell everytime the door was opened (whether there was food in it or not) and the coffee maker in the unit looked like somebody had cooked something in it that should not have been. We would like to have used it but decided not to. Room itself was a neat layout for those needing a longer stay and did come well stocked. The room was quiet, bed was comfortable, shower was okay They have a very lovely breakfast. That was a big hit. Unfortunately while eating the breakfast they had Fox News running the whole time which is not a good look at all during the times we are living in and they certainly could have played Canadian news instead.
