• Susan (9/5): A wonderful property for a hostel experience. - The barn is a very rustic but well equipped hostel. The bedrooms were lovely - private, good beds. The common space was a bit dated, but still very functional. Loved the kitchen! The setting at Spry Point is quite magical and very peaceful. There was garage storage for our bikes. I wish there were stairs down to the beach. Not having a private washroom was less than ideal, but worked for us because the place wasn’t full.

L’ équipement pour la cuisine est au-delà de mes attentes...juste wow !!! La chambre est d'une bonne grandeur avec beaucoup de fenêtre. L'emplacement est zen. Bel aménagement paysager, et on peut marcher et aller au bord de l'eau. Les gens sont respectueux Je recommande fortement cet endroit et j'y retournerais assurément. • Lydia (10/5): - The barn had a cozy and warm feeling. You immediatly feel at home. The kitchen is well-furnished for all your cooking needs. Outside the barn, within short walks you can see the sunrise and the sunset, stroll on the beach, gaze at the horizon. The owner David was really nice. He came by to have a chat and made sure we were comfortable. We enjoyed every moment and we would definitely come back!

• Julie (10/5): Country charm - Really pretty area somewhat remote. We had an upstairs room with a view of the ocean. Very quiet. 30 minute drive to a town with restaurants and minimal shopping. The proprietor was very personable.

• Johanne (8/5): Malgré les petits désagréments du bruit des voisins de chambre, j'y retournerais sans hésiter. - L'endroit est vraiment charmant et il y a tout ce qu'il faut dans la résidence. Le propriétaire est très gentil aussi. Comme il s'agit d'une résidence, les murs entre les chambres ne sont pas isolées de sorte qu'on entend assez bien ce qui se passe à côté.

• Manon (2/5): Nous avions réservé 3 nuits et sommes partis après la 1ere... - L'extérieur est beau et conforme au photo. L'accès à la plage est facile. C'est par contre tout ce qu'il y a de positif. L'intérieur est désuet, sale et non insonorisé. Il y a une odeur étrange et des toiles d'arraignée un peu partout. Le terrain est beau mais il n'y a pas de meuble pour en profiter à part une seule table de pic-nic pour tout le monde. Je fus vraiment très surprise, suite aux commentaires lue, je ne m'attendais pas du tout à cela.

The walls must have no insulation because I could hear every word said by the people in the room beside us. The ceiling is just pieced together plywood painted over. The ceiling lights flickered.

Bel endroit bien équipé pour ceux que ça n’ennuient pas de partager salle de bain et cuisine et refrégirateur en gang avec des inconnus. La salle de toilette et douches commune. Le long escalier pour monter à l’étage avec ses valises et bagages. Ce n’est pas vraiment un endroit approprié pour un séjour d’une nuit. Sans GPS, je n’y aurais pas accéder car c’est un peu méandre de 15 kilomètres dans les terres . Au bout c’est un beau site tranquille qui donne sur la mer.

La camera era bella e c'era la possibilità di cucinare e soggiornare negli spazi comuni. Il bagno anche è condiviso. Ci sono 5 stanze e 2,5 bagni. Nulla, rispetto a quanto già era descritto su Booking com

Very nice property location and beautiful view, and beach is in short walking distance. Kitchen available if one like to use for personal cooking. Nice size frig in ones room for day travels needs Our room on ground level with two clean share bathroom with shower. Overall my personal nightly stay rating is 10/10.
• Richard (10/5): - This place is magical. While it's not a hotel and is classified as hostel. It feels like a big cottage. It is friendly,welcoming and full of character. A FULL equipped kitchen (I mean fully as in you have use of EVERYTHING from the full gas range/griddle/oven and barbecue right through cooking utensils,cast-iron pots,pans, dishes and glassware. There are lounge areas to sit in and plenty of tables as well as a breakfast bar. Now outside they have planted a fresh herb garden including chives. Which we were invited to use in cooking. On the two second floor rooms(there are five to rent in total. An entire family could take over this place) there are balconies large enough to dine on and hang out on. The beach is a 5 minute walk and the view over the bluff at sunrise is breathtaking. The owner was fantastic and it is so quiet you will sleep like a baby. Montague and Souris are 30 minutes away but with a full kitchen and fridge as well as a mini fridge in the room you almost won't want to go out . Forget everywhere else noisy. Go here.

• Alexandre (6/5): - If you’re looking for a hostel type experience, it’s a good spot. The kitchen was very nice. The blinds in the room were missing a couple lats so you get the sun as it rises. Bed was old hard and very noisy but we made It work. The room didn’t have a TV or mirrors either. Didn’t get the chance to visit the small beach nearby. Amenities were clean. All in all, it gets the job done.

La plage a proximité et un chemin des douaniers. Peu de commerce et restaurant à proximité et ceux existant ferme tôt.
• Judith (5/5): Déception - Le prix nous étions de passage une nuit pour repartir vers la Gaspésie après un voyage aux Îles de la Madeleine Propriétaire anglophone condescendant n’a jamais fait d’effort pour parler et se faire comprendre en français, au lieu de diminuer le débit de sa voix. En entrant dans l’immeuble une odeur de boules à mites désagréable. Nous avons trouvé des perces oreilles dans la chambre de bain et araignée dans le lit. Les couvre lit n’était pas propre. Nous n’y retournerons pas c’est certain.
• Regina (10/5): Splendid isolation - This is a very nice place to relax and take it easy. Note, if more than two rooms are occupied, one bathroom will need to be shared. The "barn" is very quirky with bedrooms, bathrooms, living room, large kitchen but this is what makes it charming. If one wants to spend a night in splendid isolation, thats the place. Note you will need to eat before getting there or bring your own grocery as the nearest place to eat is far. The kitchen is well equipped, so one can turn out gourmet meals.

Tranquil gardens and opportunities to socialize with other guests (or not). Dave communicated well and provided transport for a small fee as we were doing the Island walk.

• Aysun (7/5): Interesting experience - Location is great, near a beach. The shape is fascinating. You can see the stars from the property. There were many mosquitos since it is pure green and nature, so it is normal. I would say cleanliness can improve, but nothing big to complain about.

• Colette (2/5): - C'est un chalet de 4 chambres, dont 3 ont salle de bain dans le corridor. Aucune insonorisation, et lors de cuisson d'aliments, senteur dans la chambre. Les meubles très très usés, probablement ont l'âge du chalet, donc très vieux. Entourés de grands arbres, aucune vue, mais si on marche à l'extérieur, superbe vue sur la mer. Le prix de cette chambre ne devrait pas être plus de 75$ TX inclus. Je ne reviendrai jamais ici, demande d'arrivée avant 18h, on se dépêche, arrivée vers 17h et aucune réponse à l'office, attends, cogne, la personne à l'accueil n'est pas dans la bâtisse. Il y a plusieurs bâtiments à louer sur leur site, peut être que certains sont mieux que d'autres, mais celui-ci pour public averti. Très vieilles serviettes, de couleur différentes, douche semble propre, toilettes défectueuses, chalet d'au moins 50 ans, aucunement rénové. Très très humide, froid, électricité très très vieille, ventilateur au plafond si jamais se serait chaud, aucune climatisation. Beaucoup de maringouins à l'intérieur.
