It’s clean and comfortable and we loved the self check in and - The property is clean and in a great location and check in and check out we’re incredibly easy It would have been awesome to have some seating in the outdoor patio however I understand that seating likely wouldn’t fit in that space and there was a bench not far from the patio door that you can sit at. The only other complaint is they have a Nespesso but no creamers in the fridge and we didn’t want to buy a thing of cream for a 2 day stay. Some little creamers in the fridge would be nice.

- Sara (9/5): Beautiful location and comfortable apartment, but frustrating check-in and poor communication - Everything in the apartment was wonderful, clean, comfortable, well-equipped, with a great view and excellent location. It was difficult to reach the staff during our stay. We had an issue at check-in because there had been a car accident right outside the apartment, which damaged our balcony. With police and fire trucks there, we tried contacting staff but were kept on hold for a long time. Since we were traveling with two young kids, the wait was very stressful. The staff were kind enough to upgrade us to a larger apartment away from the crash, which we appreciated. However, the access code they gave us did not work, and we had to call several more times before we were finally able to get in.

Einziger Kritikpunkt: Geräusch der Klimaanlage störte uns, aber ließ sich nicht abstellen.

- Calum (8/5): Steveston is the place to be! - Lovely modern waterfront apartment. Modern decor and comfy bed! Stunning location with great views of the river/ocean and a lovely walk along the front to the Japanese heritage site. Modern check in approach and cool to have your key on your phone. Water pressure is really poor throughout the property especially the shower. Hair dryer was also very old and could do with replacing. Most frustratingly their is an air vent in every room that is loud and won’t turn off, you can also hear people in other rooms using the toilet etc - not great when you are trying to sleep!

- Laura (10/5): The room felt like home. We highly recommend this hotel. - We arrived early and the housekeeping staff were very accommodating and stored our luggage. They also got our room ready for early check-in. The location was within walking distance of everything we wanted to see in Steveston. We will be back. Since we arrived early from our cruise ship, it was somewhat difficult not having a front desk to work with. The staff member we contacted through messaging was very responsive and we were able to get into our room early.

- Brenda (7/5): - The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. The place is within walking distance to shopping and restaurants. There is no address posted on the buildings associated with this hotel. The Uber dropped me off at the GPS address for the hotel. My access code didn't work. I got assistance from another person who was checked in. However, neither of us could get the code to work. She finally realized that I must be in the building next door. I headed over there but could find no obvious entry to that building's main floor for my room. I called the 24 hr/7 days/week help line and left a message that I was outside in the rain and needed help finding the correct entry point. In the meantime I wandered around til I spotted a small sign about 9 inches square down a path about 50 feet from the street. IMPROVE YOUR SIGNAGE! P.S. No one ever called me back from your help desk. The room was icy cold and the thermostat was not intuitive. It would have been helpful to have instructions somewhere (not in the room and not in instructions sent).

- Stefanie (5/5): Minus für Lüftung und check-in - Riesige Wohnung, sehr schöne Einrichung, tolle Lage in einer Wohngegend und am Wasser. Wir haben an der Straße geparkt, direkt vor dem hotel, das ging gut. Der Mensch beim Troubleshooting für den checkin war sehr nett. Die Lüftung ist extrem laut, besonders im Schlafzimmer und lässt sich nicht abstellen. Wären wir nicht nur eine Nacht da, wäre das ein Grund zur verfrühten Abreise und leider der Hauptminuspunkt am hotel. Beim Versuch die Schlafcouch aufzubauen sind Krümel sie der Sofaritze gefallen, was ein bißchen eklig. Die Küchenausstattung ist sehr basic. Könnte man mit leben. Was aber der absolute nervigse Punkt war: wir haben im Vorfeld keine Email zum elektronischen checkin bekommen. Der Mensch für das troubleshooting war extrem nett, aber am Ende waren wir eine halbe Stunde beschäftigt- auch weil es 2 Gebäude gibt, in dem Zimmer sind und wir natürlich erst am falschen waren. Also schon im Vorfeld auf Emails vom hotel achten und ggf. Nachfragen! Dann ist das wahrscheinlich eine angenehme Art einzuchecken.

- Sue (6/5): A See Saw - it could have been a great stay with a better check in and a quieter fan. - The location is fantastic, the unit is well-equipped and very clean and comfortable. The digital check-in was a nightmare! For some reason we were not provided with an access code right away and trying to connect to a human using the telephone number provided proved almost impossible. Eventually one member of our party was able to get through and we were provided the access code. Our wait was more than 45 minutes. This process was challenging and frustrating. While the unit was comfortable, we found the constant noise of the HVAC fan was disrupting and we had a restless sleep, Take good ear plugs if a noise like this would bother you.
- ul1978 (6/5): Why this might not be a good option for some travellers - Clean and new modern decor, comfy bed, fully equipped kitchen. In beautiful Steveston, walking distance to the shops and restaurants.... I would have given a 10/10 if it wasn't for the two things mentioned below that made our stay very unpleasant. Two things why this might not be good for some travellers, especially international travellers. This is not a hotel. It is not mentioned in the listing description that there is no on site check in desk with a person. It is a building with suites and you enter via a key pad code. You will receive a link to an app and have to check in online, because there is no check in desk. If you are successful with the online check in, the app will show you the entry code. There is no cell phone reception or barely any cell phone reception in the area. If you don’t have a Canadian SIM card to call the help desk, because the online check in doesn’t work, you won’t be able to check in. So your option is to drive around to an area with Wi-Fi or cell phone reception. We are Canadians and had cell phones, but we struggled with the check in link. Second, the automatic air ventilation in the room is very loud and it cannot be turned off. It runs all day and night. So pack your earplugs, otherwise you won’t get a rest at night. For light sleepers the noise is unbearable. We almost checked out after the first night, but decided to stay for the second that we had booked.

It was modern, well looked after and comfortable with lots of modern conveniences. The fully electronic check in process was easy. The location is fantastic as Steveston is quite lovely. The app for the door lock did not work particularly well - like only once or twice so I usually had to punch in the door code rather than use my phone. In addition the heat pump made a strange noise in the night like a draining tap. It was fairly loud, to the point that I got out of bed to ensure I hadn't left a tap on somewhere. Once I realised it was just the heat pump I was able to ignore it and go back to sleep.

- Samareh (8/5): We enjoyed our stay there. - The location was perfect. We were three families coming from different locations with kids and we didn’t need to use a car to explore the area. The staff were kind and answered all our needs quickly. They changed our room last minute. Although I selected a 1bd suite, they gave us a studio. One of our rooms was further away.

I eventually managed but it took many hours of trying to take a selfie on my MacBook? (still not sure how this actually happened in the end). Fortunately, the staff on the 24hr phone were reassuring and I did hang in there to complete the process

- Marcie (9/5): Clean, comfy beds, great location if you're staying in Steveston. Would stay again. - Great sleep in Steveston! Very comfy beds and bedding, modern decor, lots of room, with kitchen facilities and a sitting area. The high ceilings are open, giving the place a loft feeling, but that means you get the sound of the HVAC throughout the night. It wasn't a problem for sleeping because it was white noise. Very clean, great location. There is no on-site person. I didn't love that I had to send a picture of my driver's licence and a selfie to confirm who I was. I understand the need for security but I don't like providing this personal info online.

- Jenn (9/5): Great unit and location, don’t count on wifi. - Great location and unit for a family of 4. Central to a bunch of areas we wanted to explore. The only thing that could use improving is the wifi. On wifi my phone was in SOS most of the time when we were in the unit. This makes it hard to look up tickets for things, restaurants, directions, etc.

Das Fehlen der Rezeption und die Abwicklung via Internet ist etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig. Vorallem das Checken der Kreditkarte inkl. das Fotographieren der Passdaten, wenn ja bei Booking schon alles gereglt und vorausbezahlt worden ist, macht unsicher und erinnert an ein Daten Pishing...

- Ken (8/5): A magnificent value if you’re a sound sleeper. - Great location, and amenities. There was a noise from the ducting system or somewhere that kept us awake most of the night. Not the fault of staff or the hotel. Must be a design or building flaw.
