La gente encantadora, la comida suprema, súper gourmet, sabrosa, abundante!!Siempre atentos todos a nuestras necesidades, tanto recepción, seguridad, limpieza, bar y restaurante. No fuimos al spa pero seguro sería genial!! Desconexión total!! Graciaassss por tanto!!! Seguro volveré!!! La playa es rara porq tiene muchas ramas de árboles, pero hasta queda pintoresco. Al principio pensé.. q oscuro todo a la noche, solo luces tenues q marcan los caminos, pero es así porq respetan la noche de la fauna!! Hermosa actitud con el medio ambiente!!

- Liljana (1/5): Miserable Kommunikation, überhaupt nicht gästeorientiert. - Das Frühstück war angemessen und genauso, wie in ganz Kolumbien. Die Betten waren bequem. Die Gegend war überschwemmt und wegen einer zerstörten Brücke nicht mit eigenem Auto erreichbar. Wegen ständigem Regen war kein Strandaufenthalt oder Wanderungen im Nationalpark möglich. Die Unterkunft hat uns dies nicht klar kommuniziert, obwohl die Situation bereits seit einer Woche gleich war. Sie hätten uns abraten müssen zu kommen. Wir wurden unter lebensgefährlichen Bedingungen dorthin gebracht, unseren Mietwagen unbewacht lassen, mussten den zusätzlichen Transport noch extra bezahlen. Korrekt wäre gewesen uns wenigstens die Kosten für eine Nacht zu erstatten, da wir nach einer Nacht abreisen mussten. Dies hat die Unterkunft nicht machen wollen. So schlechten Service haben wir noch nie erlebt. Man wollte uns über eine mögliche Erstattung informieren, das ist nie erfolgt.

The food was excellent and comped due to experience not meeting expectations. There was no wifi access in the room. The description of the site said it was available throughout the property. We were locked into the property at all times and had to ask to leave and give a time of our return to re-enter. Bad location of ceiling fan related to bed, no airflow while sleeping.

En un ambiente acogedor y tranquilo, mucha tranquilidad, las instalaciones permanecen limpias, el restaurante muy especial en sus platos y la disposición del servicio único, siempre querían darnos lo mejor. - Lina (10/5): Home away from home - La energía del hotel en general, es un lugar para desconectarse totalmente y conectarse con la naturaleza. Todo esto es posible gracias a las instalaciones, la comida, el servicio, el bar, la playa. Pasamos un tiempo super agradable junto con mi familia para el año nuevo; mis dos hijas, esposo, y mis padres. Tuvimos musica en vivo, la mejor comida... todo espectacular. La espera para la comida era un poco larga, pero vale la pena esperar por el sabor y la presentación.

Nos sentimos cómodos durante la estadía y, en términos generales, cumplió con lo esperado. Consideramos que el precio es un poco alto para lo que ofrece, aunque el servicio y el entorno están bien. Cuenta con restaurante, el cual es correcto, pero creemos que el menú podría ser más amplio, especialmente teniendo en cuenta que en los alrededores no hay muchas opciones para salir a comer. Una mayor oferta gastronómica sería un gran valor agregado. Un detalle que no nos encantó del todo fue el diseño del baño. La regadera no tiene división —un concepto visualmente bonito, con vista natural y sin techo—, pero al no contar con separación, el agua se riega por todo el baño, lo que resulta algo incómodo, ya que el espacio termina completamente mojado y no solo el área de la ducha. Más allá de estos puntos, el lugar es agradable, está bien cuidado y la experiencia en general fue positiva. Es una buena opción, con algunos detalles que podrían mejorarla aún más. Creo que los cuartos podrían haber tenido un espacio para poner cosas (una mesa o muro o una silla) no vimos que hubiera servicio de limpieza o tendido de cama en los cuartos. - Yadira (3/5): Muy mal - El precio no corresponde a lo que me dieron , no pude quedarme en el sitio, y la respuesta de la persona que me atendió fue, esto fue lo que compró en booking , el ventilador no funcionaba, era una cabaña oscura y pequeña, no había wifi, no había enchufe para secador, no contaba con las condiciones del no precio que pagué. Tanto que me sentí incapaz de quedarme y me fui a otro hotel.

- Carlos (1/5): Una experiencia para no repetir. - Lo único positivo fue la atención del personal, tanto en recepción como en restaurante: amables, atentos y serviciales. Sin embargo, la buena disposición del equipo no compensa las carencias del lugar. Una experiencia para no repetir. Estuvimos alojados dos días mi pareja y yo, y resultó una auténtica decepción, sobre todo considerando el precio y la categoría del hotel. Las habitaciones/cabañas están muy descuidadas: carecen de aire acondicionado, el ventilador apenas se nota y la falta de aislamiento hace que convivas constantemente con insectos en el interior. El calor es insoportable, pasas la estancia sudando y con una sensación de agobio permanente. Además, faltan servicios básicos para lo que cuesta el alojamiento. No hay piscina, la playa está siempre sucia y es imposible bañarse. Las instalaciones, como hamacas o camas balinesas, se ven abandonadas y sin mantenimiento. En la cabaña ni siquiera hay agua caliente en la ducha, lo que obliga a ducharse siempre con agua fría, ni secador de pelo. Para colmo, la segunda noche se fue la luz durante 4h y, sin ventilador, el calor se volvió insoportable. Dormir con mosquiteras mal mantenidas, que apenas cierran y dejan entrar bichos, hizo la experiencia aún peor. En cuanto a la comida, los desayunos son muy pobres para el precio que se paga, aunque he de reconocer que en el restaurante se come bastante bien tanto de día como de noche.

- Juan (6/5): Excelente sitio si no estuvieran filmando una película - El sitio es muy bonito. Se nota que está construido con detalle y pensado para descansar. Las habitaciones son cómodas y las instalaciones (lo que nos permitieron usar) muy bonitas. El staff está lejos de estar a la altura de un hotel de este precio. Desde que llegamos una actitud hostil, con unas personas que estaban ahí. Luego entendimos que están filmando una película, lo que fue desastroso para nosotros. En la noche las grabaciones con reflectores potentes iluminaban toda la habitación y nos tocaba cubrirnos con sábanas para descansar. No se podía usar las instalaciones del hotel. La mitad de las cosas del bar/restaurante no estaban disponibles. Dos veces tuvimos que pasar por debajo de la reja principal para entrar al hotel porque nadie contestaba el timbre ni el teléfono. En definitiva, el hotel está más enfocado en la producción de la película que en sus huéspedes. Al final al dar feedback recibimos un frío “ok”. Afirmando nuevamente su falta de interés por los huéspedes.

- PazOB (5/5): Esta sobrevalorado para el precio que uno paga, no tiene buen servicio - EL staff todos eran sumamente amables y cordiales. La limpieza muy buena El personal administrativo no mostró interés por tratar de que tuviéramos una buena experiencia. Los horarios de comidas son limitados ( a pesar de que uno paga sus comidas). No hay buena comunicación, uno no sabe cuando la recepción esta abierta o cerradas. El transporte que nos enviaron para buscarnos por parte del hotel el día que llegamos se daño el carro y tuvimos que esperar una hora tarde de noche y nunca recibimos comunicación del hotel o una disculpa.
- Barbara (8/5): A beautiful, secluded, bohemian place to relax. - The highlight of my stay was definitely my beautiful beach cabaña. It did not overlook the ocean, because there's vegetation that blocks the view, but at the same time the vegetation prevents people who walk on the beach from seeing you and it maintains your privacy. Also, Playa Koralia has an amazing chef and every dish I have tried was excellent, from breakfast to dinner. All the ingredients are fresh, and everything is prepared at the moment. The managers are very nice: Andrea, Egny...super chill, relaxed. I really enjoyed the whole bohemian atmosphere. Playa Koralia is the perfect place to stay if you are looking to relax and to enjoy privacy. The beach was almost empty and peaceful. However, I did not like the fact that the property had very little illumination and when the sun goes down is practically so dark that you need a flashlight or else you will not be able to find your way to to your cabaña. I also had an issue with the security guy one night, because I went out and when I returned to the hotel he was not there and I had to wait a long time outside. Thankfully, my mototaxi driver stayed with me the entire time because it was late (1 am) and very dark and if he had left I would have been really scared. We kept ringing the bell at the gate for at least 40 minutes. When he finally came, he was not apologetic at all and all he said was that "the property is very big". Finally, I had scheduled a massage at the property Spa and my masseuse was not professional at all, clearly did not know what she was doing. However, Andrea, one of the managers, understood the situation and did not charge me for the massage.

The resort’s eco-conscious approach blends seamlessly with the breathtaking landscape. Showering under the jungle canopy was an unforgettable experience—just one of the many ways this place makes you feel deeply connected to nature. The beach itself is pristine and peaceful, perfect for long, meditative walks or simply losing yourself in the sound of the ocean. The staff were warm, friendly, and relaxed, adding to the overall sense of ease and tranquility. Every meal was a delight—fresh, flavorful, and crafted with care. And as an animal lover, I adored the many birds waking me up every morning as well as the hotel’s friendly dog and three cats roaming the property, adding to the homey, welcoming atmosphere. The spa was great, and the traitement I booked there was lovely and relaxing. The many hammocks around the property garden were a delight to swing in. The rooms were very charming and clean, and traditionally build, allowing you to connect with nature. Some people might find this slightly rustic, but that was the beauty of the place. After one day, I adjusted fully to this way of living and felt one with nature. Playa Koralia is more than just a resort; it’s a feeling, an experience, a true escape. It’s the kind of place that stays with you long after you leave. I can’t wait to return. The only complaint I have is about the chaise longues are the beach. Nearly half of them were broken. In my humble opinion, replacing them is necessary.

The bed was extra firm and I had a hard time to sleep on it. The sandy beach would have been a more comfortable place to sleep! Also, if you think that you can swim and snorkel in the ocean, that’s not the place!

The ecosystem is breathtakingly tropical, offering a unique and serene atmosphere. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay, especially Camilo, who went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful experience. The food was very good, although the options were somewhat limited. Similarly, the coffee served was of very poor quality, which is disappointing given that Colombia is famous for its excellent coffee. The breakfast options could also be improved. Overall, though, we had a fantastic time and would definitely return in the future. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a tropical getaway!

The bamboo huts are charming and exactly what one would expect from this type of accommodation. The mosquito net worked well, and the fan in the room provided some relief, though the high humidity meant that nothing really dried properly. There were a few things that we found disappointing. We had booked breakfast, but the selection was very limited: four days of only granola, omelet, or dry arepas, with no bread or variety. Although the lunch and dinner menu was extensive, the actual options were limited to pasta with tomato sauce, curry, or two to three fish dishes—lacking any real variety. Additionally, there were practical challenges: frequent power outages for a few minutes, Wi-Fi that didn’t reach the rooms, and no shops nearby. While we had to leave early, we likely would have left sooner due to the limited food options—going to bed hungry is not enjoyable on holiday!! There was also a lack of hotel activities, with the place feeling almost abandoned, and the only available options were excursions. We found the taxi services quite costly, with the hotel seemingly profiting from them. The 18 km taxi ride to the Tayrona was 100,000 COP in one direction, which felt overpriced, especially as it would have been cheaper on the return journey. However, we were asked to wait for their specific driver, which added to the expense. For those looking for a secluded place and willing to compromise on comfort and food, Playa Coralia offers a unique experience, especially for those wanting to immerse themselves in nature.

- Melissa (8/5): - So I came here for the first time on a group trip celebrating two of my friends. I honestly did not know what to expect I saw a beautiful Resort and the beach and that was all I needed to say yes. The resort essentially gives you a Vibe of going on a holistic retreat. You are pretty much disconnected there is Wi-Fi in one area of the hotel. There aren't much activities on site at the hotel to do but they offer things that you can book in the nearby area. Once the sun sets it around 7:00 p.m. it gets really dark and you do need a flashlight to help you navigate from your room to the bar or other places on the property. There is no hot water but considering how hot and humid it is I really appreciated the cool showers outdoors. The mosquitoes have not come to play so please bring your bug repellent. It's a beautiful place to get away and be one with nature. If you are looking for five star Cuisine I don't think you're going to find it here. The best things that I enjoy on the menu was the coconut curry and this other fish stew dish which was coconut milk and tomato. Outside of that I had difficulty finding other things that I really enjoyed and I am a foodie at heart so that aspect of it did let me down. You do get daily fresh fruit juice every morning with your breakfast but keep in mind if the fruits not sweet the juice is not going to be sweet. The staff was fantastic, cery accomodating and helpful. That made tge overall experience worthwhile.

- Mmmgood1 (10/5): Endless beaches and blue skies! - What a beautiful location! I brought a group of yogis to this lodge and we had a blast. The food is BEYOND delicious. It's like going to a Michelin Star restaurant in the rainforest. What? We were blown away, especially our vegan and vegetarians who received some of the best food they've ever eaten. The accommodations are lovely and the beach is priceless. Imagine endless beaches, warm ocean waves and blue skies. The service was impeccable. We even received extra love and attention from Patricia the owner. She went above and beyond for us. Thank you to all the staff that made our stay memorable! We'll be back!

- Olchowski (8/5): Good peaceful besch spot but confused identity. - The lovely grounds and sandy paths. The semi wild beach/ocean. The elegant outdooor dining area. Luis always at attention there! Outdoor shower/bathroom at bungalow was fun! Extremely slow check in process could be expedited with paper forms and photos of passports. Odd separation of bar tab had to jog a 1/4 mile to pay bartender at checkout why? Weird "healthy" restrictions like no red meat or pork, kerchup or mayonnaise, yet a bar loaded with hard liquor? Made no sense. Biggest issue was of all the 4 places we stayed in region they were the only one to charge our THREE YEAR OLD full price for tours! So instead of booking 3 we did 1. Taxis are either cash or pay by card at the end but you don't know which until it's too late. Lastly, and no their fault, but the neighbor hostel to the west in Buritaca plays techno bests that pound your entire body until 4 AM! That's correct. Request a bungalow at the opposite side where the locals coming to fish on motorbikes and dogs that steal shoes are MUCH LESS of a problem than that horrific pounding club noise that ruined our sleep for 2 of 4 nights until we were able to relocate. Also no idea why there is no pool in a vast sandy area the size of a soccer field that has no purpose whatsoever. If in need of one go visit La Mar De Bien west down the beach 50k pesos for all day use in a lovely pool, also they have best massage I've experienced in years!

Service was really poor and slow at the restaurant, we had to wait one hour to get a bottle of water after asking 5 times. Concerning the food it was disgusting and gross we had to send back some of the plates because it was not eatable. The staff at check in was rude too and not even smiled at us when we arrived and also did not apologize after we complained. Maybe this hotel was great before but that’s not the case anymore, I would run away from it!

The private beach was very peaceful and cabanas felt private and luxurious. I felt like I had the entire place to myself, unless I needed anything, and then all the staff were eager to help and very accommodating. They went above and beyond, from scheduling taxis and excursions, to an incredible massage, and being communicative and flexible with check in/out times. This is the perfect place to unwind and soak in the nature around you. I will definitely be back!

- 703wh (10/5): Relaxing Stay at Koralia - After staying in Cartagena we were looking for a relaxing, quiet time in nature. Playa Koralia delivered that and much more. The property itself is quite expansive with a huge beach, beautiful restaurant and bar, and individual lodging providing nice privacy(bonus for outdoor shower). We had a great time enjoying local seafood , coconut rice, and juices every day. Going on activities and lounging on the beach in between. Very friendly and helpful staff throughout the stay. Nature is exhuberant, gardens are gorgeous, food is great, the whole location is fantastic. every space is separate and very private: garden, restaurant, beach, bar. Gipsy coffee is the most. People are very nice. Onluy a recommendation for house keeping, for being such a great property, room cleaning is very poor, needs to improve.
- TokyoJimmy (10/5): Thought I'd hate it- ended up loving it! - My wife persuaded me to book this hotel. We wanted to see the nearby Tayrona National Park. The agent we booked with could only provide this hotel locally. I didn’t like what I read before I stayed. No Wi-Fi in the rooms. No TV. Roofless bathrooms with no ceiling. No hot water. I like these things a lot. A relatively isolated location if you don’t have a vehicle as it is down a farm track and some way from the nearest town. My initial feelings backed up my initial scepticism. On the way to our room, I got wet from a sprinkler and the sink was covered in bird droppings when we checked out the room. I thought I would hate it. But within three hours I was incredibly relaxed, and my initial worries were gone. I ended up loving the place. The beach it is set on is beautiful and quiet but sadly not good to swim at due to the strong currents. Most of the staff speak very good English and are wonderful, all of them polite and keen to help you. They arranged a late check out for us with no hassle at all and arranged for our bags to be transported to Reception before we asked. The food whether at breakfast, lunch or dinner is delicious, with local ingredients and a lot of variety. They will provide a lunch to take with you if you are out for the day. You can go online in Reception or the bar, which has a good range of beverages and very good staff who are happy to chat. I was intrigued as to why it had an Asian theme, but the Colombian guests seemed to love it, there was even a photoshoot while we were there and the hotel is trying to replicate the ideals that similar hotels in India, Thailand or Indonesia try to produce. It very much is a USP for the local market. There is nature everywhere, from plants and trees, to insects, birds, iguanas, squirrels, lizards and butterflies. If you don’t mind them being in and around your room, you’ll love it. Our room was a thatched chalet, with a safe, hammock, and a bed with a mosquito net. There wasn’t a wardrobe, just some pegs and hangers and nowhere to sit other than the bed. There is a sitting area in front of the chalet, along with a hose to get rid of sand on your feet. There is only a couple of shelves to put things on in the room to put things on, which isn’t always convenient. The ceiling fan is OK to keep the worst of the heat out. You will need a torch to get around the property at night as there isn’t much lighting. The mosquito net had some holes in it. The leaves and twigs in the bathroom can be tedious and there are intermittent power outages. If you let these things get to you, you will hate the place, if you quickly accept them and roll with it, you will soon switch off and with the warmth of the staff, the location and nature you will realise these small things are soon small compared to the character of the place and what it does in terms of wellbeing, both for the environment and your well being as a guest.

I know the area pretty well and I’m used to low key amenities that blend in nicely with the natural setting. Colombia has a lot of “flavor” to offer in terms of decor and specially food. I found the food bland, uninspiring yet healthy. One of the bright spots is Gypsy, the small beach bar run independently but connected to the hotel. Rooms are basic, comfortable and clean. All have private outdoor bathrooms connected to the room. Staff is very friendly. Beach is not manicured, wild and you can’t really swim due to strong waves. This is true for most in the area. For a whiter beach and bluer peaceful waters take a hike to beautiful Tayrona Park. Overall it was a nice experience. I just think it’s very overpriced.
- 609alejandroa (10/5): Relaxing, amazing stay - The hotel is located in a large piece of land with a long beachfront, we drove 1h from the Santa Marta airport. The bungalow was delicately decorated, quiet, the open air bathroom and shower was a highlight - what a great idea. Meals were just delicious: astonishing gourmet cuisine, innovative dishes based on local cuisine. A mango gaspacho and seafood on a base of ñame puree were just spectacular dishes. Staff was super cordial, always available to help and give advice on things to do. Luis Fernando was our waiter, he was nice, funny and helpful. Thank you so much! Looking forward to coming back.
- ThomasNorgaard (2/5): TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE - AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COST - We were invited to a birthday celebration in Tayrona, Colombia, and we booked this hotel for 1 night. When they charged $408 for one night I was expecting a five-start hotel, or close to it. However, we got a round shack with 6 beds and little ventilation. The WC was not working and the lid was broken. As far as infrastructure, the place is very rustic. The room was full of ants and my kids couldn't sleep. This place has no pool (and all neighboring hotels have fantastic facilities, and pools, and charge $150 per night). There is no hot water (the hotel advertises this as having "purified water"... but do not disclose they have no hot water). In terms of food they do not have a menu. You just get to eat what they fix for the day. Nothing wrong with that, except when you charge $408 per night. When I complained, I got a message saying I didn't read the terms and conditions and that they were not going to refund anything.
- Sammybeans18 (10/5): Mini jungle-beach paradise with gourmet meals - The staff here at Playa Koralia is tremendous. Kind, warm, helpful, and extremely professional. The place is like a little private jungle with a private beach. There are hammocks everywhere, and the rooms are beautiful. The beach is right there, and is really lovely. At Playa Koralia, it felt like I was sleeping outside, and with the ceiling fan, i wasn't too hot, despite the lack of air conditioning. Also, HUGE draw: three meals a day are included, and they are really really delicious. The bartender makes a great cocktail as well. And the massage was heavenly.
