Guest Reviews
- Fabian (1/5): Horrible - Horrible Horrible
- Silla (8/5): Very good - The staff was extremely nice and helpful! Nice location too.
The toilet was the only minus.
- Elia (1/5): Dirty bed and missing pillow and blanket! - The attitude of the staff, trying to make me feel bad for their obvious mistake.
I came back late at night after I checked in the afternoon. My bed was missing a pillow and the blanket, the sheets had stains and some small pieces of what looked like some kind of animal poo on it.
I texted them about the issues and the gave me two blankets and a pillow to sleep on the still dirty and stained bed (that pillows and blankets get used from other guests seemed normal from the answer I got regarding my missing things on the bed and the dirt)
All in all didn't feel comfortable at all, people started to loud in the room early in the morning. Definitely better and cleaner accommodation for the same price!
- Juliana (3/5): Affordable but loud. Bring eye mask and ear plugs. - Pros: great location, affordable, strong reliable wifi, attached cafe available to work online Walls are so thin, I could hear a guy across the house hawking a loogie all night. There is no sound barrier between the rooms. It only quieted down after 3am. Harsh fluorescent light in the bedroom. Surface cleaning only; bathrooms could use a deep scrubbing. Bath rug was soiled and should be replaced daily.
- Sebastiaan (10/5): Absolutely amazing stay - The lady that owns it is super sweet and makes delicious breakfast lunch and dinner. I literally ate here for all my meals. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is the best as well if you are looking to sleep comfortably and in a quiet neighborhood. Nothing really absolutely fantastic
- Giuliannie (10/5): Great location - Staff was helpful and kind
- Cruz (8/5): Very good -
- Jucélio (9/5): Superb -
- Gaitán (10/5): Recommended! - I liked a lot the location of this hostal which is to few meters of the Poblado metro station, supermarkets, parks, church and many other friendly places around.
The staff was gorgeous, I didn't have the chance to know Lady but Abraham did his best , he was wonderful with the advices, guide, empathy and he took ownership during certain issues occured there, I enjoyed the safe rest, the green area and good environment around the neighborhood, the privacy, the graduated weather of water taking the bath. All people there feels like a just one family member without discrepances between them.
Yes, I had doubts about the place however I faced them and I'm here telling you my own experience very different of the other people exposed, it means how lady hostal address the concerns or feedback of the other people by the future Just as a suggestion , install a rug at the end of the bathroom in order to avoid any portion of water extended to the room.
- Margaret (8/5): Very good -
- Hannah (7/5): Good - Small hostel run by a very kind woman who is friendly and attentive. We stay 6 nights and the room was basic but there was a warm shower and the location by El Poblado was great for the price. Bathrooms could do with more cleaning and sound leakage in rooms
- Bronagh (8/5): Very good - Nice hostel in the Patio Bonito neighbourhood of Poblado. Good base for exploring the area and catching the metro. The room was spacious and comfortable. The cafe below the hostel is really good and reasonably priced. We were able to use this space to hang out after check out. There is no signage for the hostel. We arrived in the dark and would not have found it if we had not met other travellers already staying there. There is no kitchen or social space in the hostel itself so you have to use the cafe. Thus you feel obliged to continue buying drinks/food if you stay for a few hours.
- Pauline (1/5): Be careful when you stay here! - / We booked through booking and tried to change the date a few days later, owner was unresponsive. When we did call they told us no problem but can't change booking. When we arrive hostel seems fine (not the cleanest just fine) 2nd day we notice about 100usd missing from an envelope in one of our packs. Confused we head out thinking we spend it or something, when we get back first thing we do is recount that same envelope and even more money has suddenly gone missing. When we confront the staff they're helpful but don't know anything. The owner on the other hand 'watched the footage', ( our rooms was one of the few ones you couldn’t see on the cameras) concluded no one suspicious was in the hostel and told us we must have lost the money. Didn't even refund the night we left early and suddenly cancelled our stay on booking.com so she hoped we couldn’t leave a review. Be careful when you stay here!
- John (9/5): Superb -
- Andres (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brice (9/5): Superb - Nice and chill hostal located near poblado but in a quite neighborhood. The rooms are big and the place is very cozy with a cafe inside. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I had a great stay The rooms have small windows and thus are a bit dark
- Irving (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mari (8/5): Good place for your stay - For the price, the lodging has nothing to envy compared to other lodgings - Hi everyone,
Today is my last day at LadyMom. I felt so comfortable in the lodging and the services were great. Lady, Viviana, and Sandra were perfect, kind, and friendly. They were always attentive to my needs, whether it was arranging a taxi, providing dinner, breakfast, or ensuring my security.
LadyMom has two adorable hostesses: Luna (the dog) and Simona (the cat). Luna takes care of you, while Simona brings the cuteness with her purrs throughout the day. For me, LadyMom offers a complete service, and for the price, the lodging has nothing to envy compared to other lodgings in the area. I am leaving this place happy and carrying with me the memory of some wonderful people. I totally recommend LadyMom.
Thanks for everything, my lovely LadyMom. See you soon!
Good vibes ! Well, Medellín has a lot of forests, and with them come insects. I recommend using insecticide spray, but guests should use it consciously. Additionally, for proper conduct and good coexistence, guests should maintain cleanliness in shared spaces, such as the bathroom.
- Josue (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lina (5/5): Passable - The staff was awesome! Along with the owner, they were very kind all the time. The location is also great and the bed was comfy. Good amount of drawers and clothes hooks. The bathrooms had an awful smell almost all the time, and one of them (there were only three) didn't lock properly (on two occasions, someone opened it while I was inside). The room also had a peculiar smell and was infested with mosquitoes, which, of course, made our nights very difficult to enjoy. The walls were like a mosquito cemetery (with blood and dead mosquitoes everywhere), and the fan was full of dust. The drawers were also dirty. You could hear everything due to the thin walls, and there was a small window near the ceiling that allowed light to enter whenever someone passed by the main door. While the price was cheap, it wasn't worth it for us.
- Jully (9/5): Superb -
- Marshall (6/5): Pleasant -
- Eva (10/5): Amazing place - We spend 4 days at lady mom hostel.
We had the best time there,
Lady is a such an amazing host.
The food and the location was perfect.
- Alex (6/5): Pleasant - Okay hostel but the price for a private is exceptional. Very quiet and no social vibe. Shower was okay. Nothing special but did the job.
- Dragne (9/5): friendly staff, great location -
- Jessica (8/5): great location - Amazing location and attentive staff Our room for four people did not have windows or ventilation. Besides, the information shows that the hostel offers parking but doesn't specify if it is on the street and has no security.
- Jane (9/5): Superb -
- Jenny (10/5): Exceptional - Super nice stuff 🍀 good laundrey service, good coffee. The rooms are simple but its good for the money you pay. Perfect location. We will come back ! -
- Alexander (9/5): Superb - The cafe was lovely and all of the staff including lady were so great! Bed and private room was comfortable and they were in the process of making improvements when I was there. Lady is super kind and patient, my Spanish is very basic but we were able to communicate easily.
- Nadine (3/5): Dirty accommodation in a good location - The stuff was friendly, the breakfast cheap and the food was good. Good location close to the Metro. Unfortunately, the accommodation was generally not clean, the sanitary facilities were really dirty and our bed linen didn't smell freshly laundered. We didn't feel comfortable at all and preferred to sleep in our own sleeping bags.
When we had our clothes washed, they gave them back to us in a plastic bag, after two days when we wanted to pack and did NOT tell us that some of them were still damp. We then gave them back to dry, but find the behavior of giving us back damp laundry without words unacceptable.
In addition, there was absolutely no possibility of hanging anything up in the room, at the sink or in the shower. For example, we had to crumple our towel up in the soap dish while we were in the shower.
- Kasia (5/5): Passable - Owner does not know anything about what to do in the city, how to go to other places, etc, when I asked her about something she told me to check in Google
There is no kitchen to use, no kettle or cup for a tea
Soap also wasn't refilled, when it run out
Only one shared toilet and shower, bin in a toilet wasn't cleaned too often and tissues were felling off it...
Very thin walls, all the time you could hear something though it, sometimes in the night
There was a window in a room, which was not possible to open, which makes it pointless...
- Holland (8/5): Great value and friendly staff - It was generally really clean and very comfortable! Some decent public spaces and hot showers! Also a good price!
The connected restaurant was tasty! Seemed to be sawdust or something on the sheets coming from the bed above. The sheets also were kinda scratchy
- Cassian (8/5): Very good - Single room was small, but clean. Nothing special, but good relation between price and service. The ladies who run the hostel are very friendly and helpful. On new years they cooked a fantastic traditional soup. The Restaurant is in the same house. If you ask friendly you might use the kitchen, but it's not for guests in general. The rooms are noisy, because the walls are thin and there is no soundproof. On new years they blasted the speakers in front if the house, so I couldn't sleep in my room.
- Catalina (8/5): Very good -
- Ncaicedo (9/5): Superb -
- Maria (9/5): Superb -
- Johan (7/5): Good - Clean, comfortable and close to some great reataurants There's no real reception desk so checking in was a bit awkward. We had to yell and knock on random doors before someone came and helped. Also no real bed cover, just a very thin sheet for us to share. No problem for me but my partner was freezing.
- Alanna (7/5): Good - Good location with easy access to the metro, and the owner was really nice and helpful. Good value for Poblado Beds are slightly hard and walls are thin, so it can get quite loud at night and in the mornings, especially with the TV playing at odd hours
- Nicholas (10/5): Enjoyed my stay, stayed here on two different occasions - Lady is a great host and very welcoming, great location and good prices for a private room in Medellin
- Nicholas (9/5): Superb - The owner Lady was super friendly and welcoming
- Raul (8/5): Very good -
- Franceska (3/5): Poor -
- Maria (10/5): Exceptional -
