The location is ideal — just a short walk from Monastiraki Square, giving you easy access to the Acropolis, Plaka, and vibrant local shops and cafés. The hotel is modern, clean, and thoughtfully designed with a minimalist aesthetic that feels both stylish and comfortable.
- Howard (10/5): The Perfect Choice for an Athens Stay. - Upscale decor and creative design make this boutique hotel a great choice. Recently completely reimagined by the owners who own an architectural design company, you'll find hand-made one-of-a-kind pieces throughout. Don't let the tiny lobby or the non-descript exterior entrance fool you. The cozy rooms with high ceilings, dark wood, lots of texture, soap-stone fixtures and dark tile floors with a very well appointed kitchenette, large walk-in shower and a generous welcome gift basket made for a very comfortable stay. The gorgeous view of the Acropolis from the soaking tub on the roof-top was unforgettable! It's an easy walk to the museum and the major attractions in the city. We'd return here in a heartbeat!

- Michelle (8/5): - The Monastik is more like an apartment, than a hotel (e.g no lobby or on-site dining), but there is a kitchenette to cook, heat up or store food which was a plus. Very convenient location for the things we wanted to see in Athens, as well as walking distance to pick-up locations for most tours. It served our needs while in Athens.

He was very responsive in the what’s app and showed us how to make a food delivery to our room. Spiros also gave us directions to Parthenon and helped us with any questions that we had. - Frank (10/5): Room With a View!!! - I would stay here again in a heartbeat! We booked the Acropolis View Penthouse and it was worth every penny. This is a small boutique hotel. There is a very small check in counter when you arrive and everyone couldnt have been more helpful and accommodating. There is a jacuzzi and rooftop garden area on the 3rd floor for all guests. Our penthouse had its own private jacuzzi and garden area with stunning views of the Acropolis. All areas were impeccably clean! We were only able to stay one night unfortunately but will definitely stay here again on our next trip!

The area the hotel is more industrial but it is walking distance to Acropolis and dining/shopping about 15-20 minute walk. 5 Euro cab ride. There is street noise from motorcycles however died down later into the night and hotel did provide a sleep kit in the room. I would stay here again, very comfortable and great value.

The room was clean, well designed, and provided Akropolis view both from the bed (which is super comfortable) and the Jacuzzi. We felt like home and it was well positioned within the city, provides very nice breakfast service into the room and overall lots of privacy. The receptionist were awesome and answered any questions or fulfilled any wishes in no time. Treat yourself with this nice Apartement!

- Lisa (10/5): - Stunning apartment with a beautiful balcony and wonderful view to the acropolis, which you can also see from your bed! We stayed in the penthouse suite, which had a jacuzzi on the balcony, a lift directly to the room and easy access to the communal roof terrace, making it feel as though the whole floor was ours. Everything from the linens on the bed, to the crockery and cutlery was exquisite. I would have liked a cafetière, as I’m not keen on nespresso machine coffee, but that was a minor inconvenience. The staff were really lovely and very helpful and the place is walking distance to most places (10 mins to temple of Zeus, 15-20mins to acropolis). We love Athens, have been many times and this is one of the best places we’ve stayed in. Would highly recommend.

- Kasey (10/5): - I normally do not leave reviews but thought I would here for this property! Amazing is all I can say - Fabulous - Awesome! This property is in a great location, the staff are so helpful and very responsive via WhatsAPP when not in the building. There is not a "reception desk" but you are greeted by the staff working there upon arrival. You can check in the day before, which is so convenient. Upon arrival to your room you have a gift basket in the room and are shown around. Room was great with an amazing view. There is alot of traffic you can here even with the doors/windows closed but they do offer you an eye mask and ear plugs in the room and I was so tired from wandering around it did not matter once I laid down. I would like to make sure that I let you know about a few things, that for me it was not important and made no difference but I do know for some this will matter. On the link through Expedia it shows there is laundry and spa, these are available but there is not a laundry or spa on site - these are two locations that are outsourced through. The spa can come to the room and then the laundry is something where the company can come and pick up and you pay by weight. This location is in a great location and you can literally walk everywhere within 15 mins of the hotel. Great great great hotel, great location and great staff who all offered recommendations from the beginning! I will pick this location again! Thank you so much for the great vacation that was much needed!

The staff restaurant recommendations were excellent, transportation and places to see was excellent as well. The unit is about a year old and very well maintained and upscale appliances as well as very comfortable bedding and sheets. There is a small kitchen and appliances. We stayed for week A family of 5 2 suites and we had an amazing experience. The staff were amazing and, friendly and accessible at all times. I read a weeks worth of reviews before booking and Monastik Living Athina checked all our boxes!!!
- Assad (10/5): Awesome architectural Detail - Irene was great - This is a B&B. Close to everything, meaning writhin a 10 minute walk. Irene was our greeter and host. She was awesome awesome. She makes the guests feel welcome. Our room and architectural design was frankly incredible. The details were so well thought out. The only downside was that the jet tub is not a hot tub. I give it a 9 out of 10, only because of the jet tub temperature, that makes it almost nonusable in the winter. The hotel street is also a bit broken up. But net net. The room was excellent. The security was solid. And the staff especially Irene made our stay fantastic.

Had a beautiful and amazing view from our balcony and rooms of the Parthenon and Acropolis. The hot tub added extra awesome experience in the evenings. An elevator right into our room was unique. Private. Secure. Had everything from coffee, to robes, a full kitchen and more. I highly recommend this place.
- Amanda (10/5): Simply stunning - What a brilliant hotel. Well located - just out of the over touristy area so an easy walk but a bit more local. The hotel is gorgeous and the roof terrace stunning!!! The team there are friendly and proactive. I love they connected with me in WhatsApp before and during. It felt really personal and they were so responsive to every question. The rooms are simply beautiful and the quality of finishes throughout is super high end. A work of art. Would highly highly recommend!

Area is safe!

- Helen (10/5): Great hotel with amazing staff - Great hotel with amazing staff. From little touches like a big bottle of water in the fridge everyday and Greek food specialities on arrival, to a great spread of luxury toiletries and kitchen with plenty of crockery etc, this hotel is doing things the way hotels used to do things. The rooms are beautifully curated with great facilities and a comfy bed, but the staff make this place special, so kind, friendly and helpful they make you feel special. Spiros gave us some great recommendations and helped us get our bearings and the locale has a great vibe. The only slight negative is that the hotel is on a very busy road, but there is a crossing. It just means if you’re in a city view room you can hear the road. That said, the room seemed to be quadruple glazed and the traffic didn’t wake us or anything, and I’m a light sleeper. They also provide face masks and ear plugs so if it did bother you. I also think if you had the rooms facing the other way you light not notice at all. Don’t let that put you off though, I still give it 10/10, just if it’s available maybe spend a little more on a non city view if you’re a super light sleeper!

I also loved the kitchen and the all that they provided for us to have a comfortable stay. The staff was also so attentive and very welcoming. It was close to so many markets and restaurants as well As all the museums. There was free parking all over and we walked most of time except in the days we took day trips to Corinth and other areas.

- Lydia (8/5): - Loved the room. And the service while we were there. Unfortunately, we had to changed our date and the only room available was smaller than the one we originally reserved (which has a view of the acropolis), and this “lower level” room faced the street, which was noisy at night. We loved the decoration, the comfort of the room, spacious bathroom, kitchenette, and the quality of the linens and furniture. However, I must add that the rooftop is tiny and hence misleading from the images I saw online. Also, the entrance is small on a busy street. Which I do not mind, but my husband was not happy with it. Granted, I reminded him that this is a BOUTIQUE HOTEL… I will just ask to adjust the description of the rooftop.
- Veary (10/5): - In front of the hotel, it’s a little rough. Sidewalks look torn up and it’s by a motorcycle delivery service so lots of motorcycles parked on the sidewalk. But when you get inside everything is beautifully decorated and high tech. The locks on the door were insanely modern. My husband was fascinated by it. I loved our stay but if you’re a light sleeper, this may not be the best place for you. It can get loud as the hotel is on a high traffic road. They provide a bunch of vanity items including ear plugs. My husband couldn’t sleep that well but it didn’t bother me or the kids. They also gave us a welcome basket with snacks and we got a free bottle of champagne, water and an alcohol bottle. The large water bottle gets replaced daily though Athens tap water is fine to drink. We appreciated the mini kitchen with plates, cups and coffee and tea. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

Those small touches make such a difference between an ok hotel and a fabulous hotel. We had an incredible view of the acropolis from our suite and from the rooftop pool. Spiros the hotel manager is so sweet and helpful. Hands down would recommend this hotel.

- Angela (10/5): - A beautiful boutique hotel. The view is absolutely stunning from the roof top. The roof top is cozy, gorgeous and relaxing. Was able to view the sunset and Parthenon from there. I will admit the exterior was less than expected, but this may be typical for the area. The interior was extremely nice with all the amenities needed. We were able to take a 15 minute walk to see the Parthenon and the surrounding sites.
