- Ladys (4/5): - The hotel itself is beautiful, very clean, and offers the perfect atmosphere to relax. I truly enjoyed the property and everything it has to offer. However, my experience with the staff left me disappointed. At check-in, I presented my American passport to avoid the resort fee, since tourists are not required to pay it. Unfortunately, I was still charged, and I feel this may have been due to my Colombian background, even though I do not live here. For reference, I didn’t encounter this issue when staying in Cali. Additionally, the restaurant service was extremely slow. It took nearly 30 minutes to receive a drink, and I had to ask three different staff members before it finally arrived. While the property itself exceeded my expectations, the service made my stay less enjoyable. Because of this, I would not choose to stay here again despite how beautiful the hotel is.
- curtis (8/5): - beautiful hotel food is great. The staff is great for some reason. Nobody wants to invest in the roads around the hotel or even on the property. It makes no sense at all. You have to take little tues and it is a ride that beats the hell out of you better for a four wheeler.

El administrador tuvo un trato déspota, desafiante y prepotente, haciéndonos pasar un pésimo momento. Se tomó atribuciones que no le correspondían, demostrando un exceso de poder que en realidad no tenía, lo que refleja una grave falta de respeto y un mal servicio al cliente. Lo más grave es que, por el simple hecho de dar una opinión, se nos negó el hospedaje, lo cual constituye una represalia injustificada y una vulneración directa de nuestros derechos como consumidores. Consideramos que se afectaron los siguientes derechos fundamentales del consumidor (Ley 1480 de 2011 – Estatuto del Consumidor): • Derecho al trato digno y respetuoso. • Derecho a acceder libremente a los bienes y servicios ofrecidos al público, sin discriminación ni represalias. • Derecho a recibir un servicio de calidad, acorde con lo anunciado y contratado. • Derecho a la información clara, veraz y suficiente. • Derecho a presentar reclamos y obtener una respuesta adecuada, sin ser castigados por ello. Este caso será reportado a la Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio (SIC) para que investigue y sancione las irregularidades, ya que se trata de una práctica abusiva que vulnera nuestros derechos como consumidores. No recomendamos este lugar bajo ninguna circunstancia, ya que lo más importante para nosotros es el servicio al Cliente.

I could not communicate with the hotel by email or phone until I arrived at the front desk and was given a what’s app number that actually worked and never did they return any emails 2. The front desk staff was slow and inefficient during the entire stay 3. The walls of the rooms would allow me to listen to my next door room’s conversations 4. Cleaning staff stated at 7 am with a fun and laughter conversation directly in a a small room right by my room 5. The mattress was tired and lumpy with permanent indentations on each side of the king bed with pillows that would not support a child’s neck 6. I stayed 5 night at 300 dollars per night and on the 4th and fifth night they had a large party with music blaring and tic tok motorcycle transports going buy until 3 am each night 7. The road to and from hotel to Guatapé and el Peñol was dirt and felt like I was placing my life in danger riding in taxis 8. We lost power twice during the stay 9. I was not allowed to bring my own insulated cup to the pool to drink the hotels drinks out of and was rudely treated by an non English speaking person 10. I noticed many of the females wearing garments that were clearly against the rules we were given by the front desk at breakfast lunch and dinner along with pool attire 11. Three times we had people arguing into the night in rooms and hallways waking me up at 2-4am 12. I believed that what I was getting was a quiet secluded hotel not a weekend party
- Eliana (6/5): - I had a terrible checkin experience at this property, they ask for physical ID for every single person staying and my wife had a picture of the passport as walking with those documents in Colombia is risky. So we explained the situation and the lobby receptionist was rude and referred us to read the law. The property is beautiful but the service and the staff has a lot to improve. We escalated the situation and the manager was kind enough to understand and help us. I stayed before at Domus glamping and the experience was 1000% better than this luxury hotel. I wouldn't stay here again.

Free breakfast, free parking with option of valet if you prefer, drive was beautiful, you get into the woods to get to the hotel, nothing to worry about, very safe. I'm definitely going back.

This was not only shocking and distressing but also completely unacceptable-especially as it was my very first meal at your property and my first impression of what is supposed to be a reputable establishment. Food safety and hygiene should be a top priority, and this experience raises serious concerns about the standards in your kitchen. I am extremely disappointed and disturbed. To make matters worse, management did a HORRENDOUS job at handling this entire situation.

I had to wait for an hour for my jet ski appointment, I was told if I was late or didn’t cancel 90 minz before I would be liable 100% for the payment. But when I waited over an hr for the guy in charge of the jet skis, there was no apology and was not offered any further accommodation. I asked to check out one hour later due to this inconvenience. And was told straight no that wasn’t our problem by hotel staff. And was told if I checked out any later a late fee would apply.

Hotel staff were attentive, our only issue was there were extremely disruptive guests on our floor who were partying all night, despite filing noise complaints they continued to party until 4am disrupting our sleep and rooms were not as soundproof as advertised.

The room was immacutely cleaned. The breakfast in the morning was great with a vast variety of food to choose from. I understand they have a dress code for dinner and you have to reserve to use the jacuzzi. I give it a 10 out of 10.

Nobody checks on you at the tables. The general demeanor of the staff at the front reception is not very friendly or accommodating. I am a very understanding person and very rarely will leave negative comments but I feel other people should be warned about this location. Not worth the price. You’re paying to the views not the service. At that price point the service should be amazing since those views can be found in other properties.

- Eric (2/5): - Do not let the photos and reviews foul you! on this terrible place they call "The Brown" Hotel in beautiful Guatape... Upon arrival, I waited over an hour just to check in because the receptionist was more interested in their social media than assisting guests. Once I was assisted, a supervisor who was rude and frustrated due to an issue with little explanation. Some employees tried assisting us but the supervisor was not having it. He carelessly told us to go away. The hotel claims to be close to the famous Piedra del Peñol, but don't let that fool you. Unless you enjoy off-road adventures or have a four-wheel drive, good luck! There is no direct road here! be aware... The place smelled like a mixture of mold and despair. Pool looked and it was cold to the touch. The "WiFi" was so slow, it seemed designed to test one's patience. Id bring a star link device if I was you. Guatape itself is charming, "The Brown" ruins its charm. I asked staff to reimburse me, they refused and said ask Expedia "we have nothing to do with it."

- Martha (8/5): - This hotel is a paradise. The rooms are very elegant. The view is spectacular. The only reason why I am not giving a 5 start rating is because I went to this place to work and have some fun time during my break time from my computer. The first night I arrived I was told that I could not go to praia because they had an event and the 2nd day I was approach by the waitress at the restaurant and asked to live because they had another private event. I don't think people should be asked to live specially in front of other guess. It was very embarrassing and it is not like I paid $200 a night. I paid a lot of money for the room so I should be able to enjoy the whole facility at any time that it is opened. I did not pay to stay inside the room. I did bring this situation to the attention to the manager. He said he was going to make it up for me and he never did.

- Adam (10/5): - I lived this placed ! The view to my room and the view in the pool/ dining area! Just amazing ! One thing I didn’t like though, when I checked out. The pillow and towel got dirty, and so they charged me an outrageous price…. They claimed it was damaged, which was not, nothing a simple laundry wouldn’t fix. I felt like they cornered me into paying that if not I wouldn’t be able to check out. felt like that was unfair and uncalled for.
