- stevie_b100 (10/5): Family stay Murray hotel. - We stayed as part of a family group for my nephews wedding 2nd July to the 6th July. The staff were friendly and so accommodating they are all a credit to the hotel. The small special touches to make our experience more special. We weee a family group in London for my nephews wedding. The team decorated his room which was a very nice touch. The rooms are on the small side even the deluxe rooms. But we were not spending a huge about of time in the rooms but they were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was lively and yes the dining room is small but again you are only there for a short time. The hotel located well to explore the delights of Marlybone. I would recommend the hotel for the staff alone! Well done team and thanks for the great service.

Good selection for breakfast however, the room we were in was extremely small. No sitting area. There was only enough room to walk around the bed. Overall, it was very nice. Room had safe and fridge as well.

On nous donne les cartes d'accès à la chambre mais celleci n'est pas prête... on attend dans le couloir mais au bout de 10min on nous dit qu'il y a un problème dans la salle de bain. Le ménage quotidien est loin d'être irréprochable. La couette est juste remise en place, pas bordée correctement.... la salle de bain restera dans l'état d'utilisation, seules les serviettes sont changées et les traces de doigts sur la chasse chromée seront essuyés. Le sol n'est pas du tout fait chaque jour. Les cheveux restent par terre dans la salle de bain et dans la douche. Il nous a été attribué une chambre avec salle de bain PMR mais n'avons pas de besoin de ce côté-là, donc nous nous sommes retrouvés avec un mini-lavabo à hauteur des genoux : très pratique pour le mal au dos. La douche avec le siège PMR très encombrant pour nous qui n'en avions pas besoin. Et pour couronner le tout chambre en face de l'ascenseur d'où les autres clients sortaient a toutes heures en discutant fort dans les couloirs sans respect pour ceux qui dorment... Décus.

- Cindy Florence Rachel (10/5): - We just left after a week at Voco on our first trip to Europe, and I knew right from check in that we'd enjoy our stay, and it didn't disappoint! The staff were so friendly... one member even hugged us when we left! I had seen comments that people said the rooms were small and could only access the bed on one side. This was not our experience at all. Yes, certainly more compact than North American rooms, but we had plenty of room and our bed was high enough to store our suitcases underneath which was a real plus. The rooms and spaces were very clean and modern. With a bus stop in front of the door, and the Edgeware Rd station just across the street on the other side of the small block, it was ideal for getting everywhere we wanted to go. I would absolutely stay here again, and would recommend to any of our friends and family to do the same!

- Marvin (10/5): - Ich war anfangs etwas skeptisch aufgrund der negativen Bewertungen, aber diese sind in meinen Augen unbegründet. Aufenthaltsdauer waren fünf Nächte, sowohl Check-In als auch Check-Out sehr unkompliziert. Sehr nettes und zuvorkommendes Personal, Zimmer sehr sauber, Zimmerservice gab es jeden Tag. Stauraum gab es wie erwartet kaum, (außer im Badezimmer) daher haben wir die meisten Sachen im Koffer unter dem Bett verstaut, was kein Problem war. Klimaanlage war leider etwas laut, lässt sich aber ausschalten und Hotelpersonal hat Hinweis positiv aufgefasst. Sehr ruhige Atmosphäre, gerade durch die ruhige Lage des Hotels in einer Seitenstraße. Die Betten sind sehr gemütlich und wir haben sehr gut geschlafen. Zum Frühstück können wir leider nichts sagen, da wir dieses nicht in Anspruch genommen haben. Der Speiseraum ist tatsächlich recht klein, aber war nicht all zu stark besucht. Zur Erkundung von London ist das Hotel ideal, keine zehn Minuten zu Fuß entfernt von zentralen U-Bahn Stationen, Bushaltestellen und zum Bahnhof Paddington mit der Elizabeth Line zum Flughafen LHR. Sehr positive Erfahrung, wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

- Guide55794756901 (2/5): SCAM deluxe rooms in a basement without windows - Absolutely the worst hotel experience of my life. The room, advertised as 15 square meters, was barely 7—no exaggeration, it felt like a broom closet. To make it worse, it was in a basement with no windows, yet somehow they dared to call it a ‘deluxe room’. False advertising at its finest. Breakfast? A complete joke. There was nothing to eat—literally empty trays—and even if there had been food, there was nowhere to sit. Guests were either standing awkwardly or balancing plates on their laps. I wouldn’t stay here again if they paid me. Avoid at all costs unless you enjoy being lied to and treated like an afterthought.

- beckyjG7864HB (2/5): One of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. - One of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The air conditioning in my room was blowing hot air throughout the night, with a window that only opened a couple of centimetres, making the room unbearably hot and stuffy in the middle of summer. Despite alerting the front desk at 2am and waiting until 3am for someone to attempt to fix it, the issue was never resolved. I didn't sleep and felt extremely ill throughout the night and during the next day as a result, severely impacting a presentation I had to give the next day. I communicated this complaint on the night, the following day, during check out and in a follow-up a few days later, raising concerns about the faulty AC and highlighting potential health and safety risks for other guests. This is the first time I've ever had to make a formal complaint to a hotel. The front desk staff were at least sympathetic, agreed that a refund was due and said that management would be in touch to arrange this. Unfortunately, after chasing several times for a response, the hotel management’s response was dismissive. They neglected to properly address the issue, offering just £30 (later increased to £60) off a £300+ stay, which did not reflect the seriousness of the situation. After more than three months and repeatedly chasing for fair compensation, I am still waiting for a satisfactory resolution. I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone, especially given the blatant disregard for guest safety and the poor customer service I have received since my stay.

- carries376 (8/5): Good location and value - We stayed here for a quick trip into London. First impression is a very small lobby and very basic breakfast area. That made me nervous in thinking this was another London hotel that misrepresented themselves on-line. But, the staff were very pleasant and check in was quick and smooth. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the hotel was once you left the lobby area. The room is spacious and modern and clean. There is a kettle and coffee and tea- though no biscuits. Bathroom is modern with really good shampoos and soaps. They even give you a dental kit! The location is really good, too. It is definitely a gem for the price.

More Edgeware Road than Marylebone Poor quality towels and some fittings Bed comfortable Breakfast buffet was very poor - cooked food left out for ages and not replenished / replaced Cold cuts limited in quantity and quality should have eaten out. Premier Inn Hub next time.
- ceclarke1 (8/5): Clean and convenient - I read all of the reviews before booking. I think those who had a negative experience booked through third-party sites. I was traveling with a party of 5 in total. I would have given the hotel 5 stars, but our check-in was not the smoothest. There was an issue with the card machine, and even though I had written to explain we would be arriving early, and that we were prepared to pay a fee, the rooms were not ready for us. Other than check in, our stay was pleasant. The rooms were small except for the wheelchair accessible ones. But clean and well equipped. All of our rooms had windows. The breakfast buffet was typical but tasty. The hotel is well placed within walking g distance of Paddington and Edgeware Road. Khan and Abdullah were very attentive and helpful. I would recommend the hotel to business travellers.

- Verified traveler (6/5): Pleasant with little amber flags. - Although the hotel has only been recently opened, there has already been multiple small issues, condition and maintenance related as: shower doors not closing properly (flooding bathroom floor when taking shower), curtains slightly damaged, heavy stain on shower heads or paint detaching in several areas. Otherwise comfortable stay, but makes me thing how this property will look in months or years to come.

- 677MarkH (8/5): Small Modern Hotel near Paddington Station - We stayed here on three seperate occasions on our recent trip to Europe. I chose this hotel because it was clean, fresh and modern rather than a traditional older property. I found the front desk service extremely polite and courteous and nothing was too much trouble. I had a couple of issues with housekeeping on two of our three stays - basically room items not replenished and very late cleaning of our rooms, but apart from that, I have no complaints. We had room 610 which was fairly spacious by London standards. The bathroom,in particular, is well fitted out. There are a number of inconspicuous light switches in the room including one in the open concept wardrobe and fold out desk - these are almost impossible to see at first glance but easy once you know where. The rooms have dimmers on all lights which is a nice addition and the automated drapes are a great touch. Breakfast is well worth it but served in a pretty small breakfast room - proportionate with the size of the hotel I guess. They do not offer lunch or dinner however. They have halal options too. Point to note, I did notice that there are rooms on the basement levels - these have no windows. If you’re okay with that, fine, although probably best to check when making a reservation. Overall we had a nice stay and the front desk managers in particular deserve a mention. Thankyou
- wendym232 (4/5): Do not stay for more than one night - The rooms are not as described or expected It was the smallest “deluxe room” we have ever stayed in . 6 coat hangers , no drawers or storage. We were staying 5 nights and had to live out of our suitcase that has to be stored under the bed as absolutely nowhere else to put it . The description says city views ( if you hangout of the window sideways you can see the post office tower! ) It says bathrobes, slippers , hairdryer, coffeemaker - none of these , apparently they are available “on demand “ , then why say they are in the room ?. We never got ours! There was bits of paper on the carpet when we arrived and still there when we left. Bedding not changed in 5 nights . Breakfast , definitely not even 3 star , over cooked rubbery fried eggs, cold bacon sausages etc toaster useless , bread needs putting through at least 6 times to get any colour! Breakfast room is tiny and guests are allowed to sit there all morning even if they have not paid for breakfast. Very large family groups with children just using it as a area to chill in and play on iPads etc , no room for guests to actually sit and eat their breakfast Most of the staff are very nice and friendly. The manager is useless. Not interested or helpful at all. Good location for Edgeware tube station but that’s the only good thing I can say. DO NOT stay here for more than a couple of nights unless you like living out of a suitcase and it really does seem to be a lottery as to which room you get regardless of how much you pay. Once you are allocated a room you are stuck there so be very careful !

They cared deeply and I will definitely go back again! The rooms were super clean, they were super hospitable and offered us coffee and beverages all the time. Super central. The ideal hotel for London. Definitely recommend!

- Touristimo (2/5): Filthy hotel. - Filthy hotel. Despite paying for a room with a window, put in a windowless room in the basement. The toilet stank of raw sewage. Complained to reception. They refused to refund and instead moved to a room on the ground floor. Still had sewage smells. There was a window but the view was a solid brick wall. Window did not open. Worse still used condom packets were seen on the ground. No refund or apology given. As a doctor, I was worried about catching a disease from this place.

- KeHin (2/5): Mis-sold me a room at a ridiculous rate - Mis-sold - ended up in a tiny windowless basement room for £265 per night. I booked this hotel indirectly. The advertised room rate was over £265 per night but I got a small discount as part of a loyalty programme. The room was opposed to be a double with a view, and I booked it specially as other local chain hotels only have windowless rooms left ( which they made very clear in the room description). When I checked into the hotel they said they had given my room to someone else and I would therefore be staying in the basement. I said this wasn’t what I’m had booked and paid for, but the staff (who were very nice) said they couldn’t do anything as there were no other rooms. They said this let might be able to move me the following day (I was staying 2 nights) but they would have to do it whilst I was out, and move all my stuff for me. I wasn’t happy with to us they had just taken a £50 damage delist from me, so I didn’t like the idea of them checking me out of the room when I wasn’t there. There was no phone reception in the basement, the room was tiny & claustrophobic, and it wasn’t a great experience. It was clean, but that was the only positive thing. I was told a manager would email me the next day, which didn’t happen. Then I was told the following day, which again didn’t happen. And now they’re saying another day. I’m taking it up with the company I booked through, as it feels like a scam. They clearly sell rooms at different rates & then try to make extra money by putting people in more expensive rooms into the cheaper rooms. The staff seem really nice, but they are powerless. They were also visibly shocked at the amount I’d paid for the room. Avoid.

- enyab2022 (8/5): A perfect hotel for a short London getaway ! - Highly recommend this hotel for a short stay in London! The hotel is located in the heart of London, with easy access to major attractions, shopping districts, and public transportation, even having a bus stop situated just outside the hotel. Whilst the rooms are on the more compact side they are very comfortable, clean and modernly decorated, providing the perfect space for unwinding after a long day of exploring the bustling city. The hotel staff were also very helpful and at times even going the extra mile, especially Khan who was a great help in booking us a taxi to Heathrow airport who we would like to personally thank and commend for his hospitality. An overall great experience!
- phillipmeyer (2/5): Read the poor reviews before you book - This hotel caters to those on a tight budget and offers very basic accommodation - During my stay, which I cut short after the first night of a seven-night booking to relocate to a significantly superior hotel. Location: Contrary to its claim, this hotel is not situated in Marylebone but rather just off Edgeware Road. There's a notable disparity between these areas: Marylebone boasts boutique shops, cafes, and restaurants, while the vicinity of this hotel is characterised by inexpensive, independent fast-food outlets and shisha bars. Rooms: The rooms are exceedingly compact, barely larger than the bed itself, and lack any storage amenities such as cupboards or drawers. This deficiency becomes pronounced for guests staying beyond a single night, as there's minimal space to store clothes. The purported "King size" bed is actually two single beds pushed together (it's uncomfortable in the middle). Additionally, the room's furnishings, including miniature bedside tables and a diminutive fold-out desk, are inadequate for practical use. Another guest aptly described the rooms as "shoe boxes." Bathroom: Despite its spaciousness, the bathroom lacks any storage solutions, forcing guests to leave toiletries scattered on the floor. The positioning of the hand towel rail near the toilet, coupled with the absence of towel hooks, compromises hygiene and convenience. Breakfast: The breakfast selection is rudimentary, featuring unappetising cooked options and limited variety. The congested breakfast area fails to accommodate the hotel's capacity, resulting in overcrowding. Check-in/out: Despite the absence of a bar, restaurant, mini-bar or other onsite amenities,I was required to pay a deposit upon check-in "in the event that I damaged something". The manager himself acknowledged the hotel's shortcomings, describing it as, "4 star at best." Additionally, there were other guests with similar complaints about room size looking to cancel their booking while I was checking out (after one night). Staff: The staff members are courteous and willing to assist, yet their efforts cannot compensate for the hotel's operational deficiencies. Post-departure, my requests have gone unaddressed. In summary, it's advisable to steer clear of this hotel.

- Verified traveler (10/5): One night stay, Signature J Hotel, Old Marylebone - The hotel's facilities, cleanliness and service were all A1 standard. Mr Khan was particularly at tentative and helpful in resolving a minor technical issue with the room key car on the morning of departure, and as week took advantage of the late breakfast and noon checkout facility, made sure we had finished our meal before ending the service. The location is great for Marylebone museums and universities, the and old high street which is well worth a visit to view its original pubs and boutique shops, as well as moderately walkable to Marble Arch, Oxford Street and Regent Park

A special thanks to Rizwan for the extra detailed attention to detail. He took the time to explain where everything was in the room and how all the electronic switches worked. The room was complete with all the “extras” you would expect from a 5 star hotel. Slippers , robe , toothbrush , sewing kit etc etc. Since I was alone I did not mind the small room.. I plan to return with friends/family , at that point I would definitely pick a bigger room.

You can basically stay in the room for sleeping.our family room for 4 was basically 2 connected tiny room the nice thing was that we got 2 showers. Overall great for a one night stay over connection in London.
- Sam (10/5): Family stay - It started a bit rocky with my reservation not being in the system. There sounds as though there's an ongoing issue with reservations passing between Hotels.com and the local hotel systems. This was quickly resolved though and i was assured i had a room as booked. I was able to put some luggage in a holding room prior to check in which helped. The adjoining rooms were clean and had everything we needed. Staff were friendly and professional, overall a very nice stay.
