• Chrysti (10/5): Gorgeous, historic hotel, conveniently located with lots of amenities. - Beautiful Historic Hotel very close to Monistraki and historical sights. We stayed in room number five and it had a gorgeous balcony! The bed was very comfortable, the decor was beautiful, and the bathroom was gorgeous! We also enjoyed the sauna and steam room. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The neighborhood seems a little bit gritty, but we had no problems. It’s like any big city, but apparently very safe.

The staff is a whole separate story, I do not recall ever being treated so well in any other hotel including high end resorts. They took care of all our needs and more, example they booked all the restaurants in the city during our stay and they were all amazing, they helped me organise surprises for my wife’s birthday which was during the stay. Real hospitality.

Het personeel zorgt echt voor een onvergetelijk verblijf. Zo attent, meedenkend en ook warm en vriendelijk. De kamer was boven verwachting, echt een eigen paradijs binnen een grote stad. Je hebt het beste van twee werelden, het stadsleven en de rust en ruimte van buiten de stad. Het eten is voortreffelijk, vooral het ontbijt! De verwarming hoeft niet op 23 graden gezet te worden, maar dat is heel makkelijk zelf aan te passen. Dit in tegenstelling in de grote hotels waar dat allemaal integraal georganiseerd is.

The terrace was an exceptional place to be - breakfast and after dinner drinks on the terrace with views of the Acropolis is a treat. Restaurant suggestions were well judged. The stairs could be off-putting for some - there is no elevator so please note this if you have mobility issues. Breakfast starting at 730am was a little disappointing on day of checkout for early flight - they did provide a coffee and pastry. The poor staff spilt orange juice all over our breakfast tray while climbing the stairs - I felt for the poor girl. Breakfast on the terrace is great but awfully difficult for the staff! This is very much a boutique hotel without the amenities of a large 5-star hotel. We liked that but could be a negative for others.

The individually prepared breakfasts were delicious and healthy, and the living room atmosphere was serene and charming. We ended our stay at the wellness center. The saunas were preheated for us, the entire spa space was candlelit and reserved for privacy. We left the hotel feeling relaxed and pampered! What an amazing way to continue to our next adventure! We has such a wonderful experience at the hotel itself I almost forgot to review key details. The hotel is spotless! The location is in the center of the city. We were able to walk to everything, attractions, cafes, restaurants and shopping. The metro is very close by if you’re not a walker. One important note- there is no elevator at the hotel. The hotel has a majestic wide spiral staircase.

• Alena (10/5): - sensitively renovated 150 years old house . Wonderful team and service. We can highly recommend. The roof room with the view on Acropolis is amazing.(70 steps) but definitely worth it
