We put room on do not disturb when leaving it but the cleaners came in anyways, not a big deal but just worth noting

• Annett (8/5): Direkt im Zentrum-für Kurzaufenthalt Top - Die Lage im Zentrum von Florenz war super! Wir haben die Garage Bargello genutzt und der Service war sehr gut. Mit dem uns von der Unterkunft zugesandten Code konnten wir uns ausweisen und das Parken war problemlos möglich. Die Residenz ist eine Wohnung mit mehreren Appartements in einer Villa im 3. Stock. Der Zimmerservice mit der täglichen Reinigung, dem Auffüllen der Kaffeepads und des Wassers war sehr gut.

We thought the bed was large and comfortable! We were in the first room next to the entrance so it was quite noisy as people were coming/going.

In de kamer was een apparaat die ‘s nachts een groenlicht gaf. Deze was zo fel dat het leek alsof het badkamer licht nog aan stond.
• CHIHLIN (10/5): Great Location, Professional Staff, Modern/Clean Room - Location was great, everything (duomo, museums, restaurants... you name it) was within walking distance. Staff were friendly and responsive - communication via whatsapp and they respond within minutes during the work hours). Room was spacious and clean. It was newly remodeled and you can see the owner paid attention to details. I love how nice and modern the bathroom was. There was also a small balcony and we enjoyed staying there in the evening for a drink. AC was working properly, which was very helpful after a long day walk in the city. There is a water machine in the common area which was super nice. Special thanks to the cleaning person (sorry I forgot his name but he was Spanish speaking), who was very professional and I appreciate how he accommodated our arrival time and made our room efficiently. I cannot think of anything negative to say about this place.

Kaffe (selvom vi ikke fik brugt det) Kommunikationen med hotellet. Parfume/skyllemiddel i håndklæderne. Parfumefri ville være super. Den kraftige room scent i gangen (nogle æteriske olier i stedet eller bare en naturlig luft frisker, selvom det andet er italiensk. For allergiker er det fint uden. Lille værelse.

The problem was that the rooms are too close to one another and they is no soundproof. So, it was quite loud during the day even early in the morning with the stuff cleaning the other rooms.That was the only negative part of our stay, but other than that it was really great!!

• Anonymous (9/5): Superb - Large rooms with modern and classy finishes. Great air conditioning. Good central location to explore all of Florence (beware the footpaths are a disaster so not good for wheels on suitcases trekking from the train station!!) Also the water dispenser in the lobby area was great for refilling water bottles with cold or sparkling that saved us purchasing water (tap water can be a bit hit and miss). Soundproofing was not fantastic. It is high enough to avoid street level noise but construction work in floors above/below during the mornings (starting 7-8am) was an issue, as was noise of other guests coming and going during the night in the hallway. Fine if you wear earplugs or don’t have an issue with sleeping through noise.

They had a really strong perfume throughout the whole building which worsened allergies We were the apartment at the front of the building which meant it was noisy when people were coming and going

The location is perfect to head in any direction in Florence. The refrigerated water fountain and having pitchers filled in the room was an excellent touch. A/c didn’t work properly. I asked for no housekeeping and they ignored, housekeeping came in and moved my belongings. No lights in hallways, felt very unsafe. Person checking us on was rude. The actual room was very small, only 24 inches from end of bed to door, no place for luggage.

The property was well maintained and looked to be recently renovated. The room is very very small. I know a lot of properties in Florence our small but this was by far the smallest room we stayed in across France and Italy.

The room was beautifully renovated and very clean. Works going on in the building foyer meant there was a lot of dust which triggered severe allergies for my husband.

Would definitely recommend! Bathroom was small and there were only small packets of shampoo (vs. shampoo, conditioner and body wash bottles). We ended up buying small toiletries ourselves.

• Elle (7/5): A beautifully designed space in a fantastic location, but issues with noise. - The location is excellent and the rooms are beautifully decorated to a high standard. Our room was spotless on arrival and kept fresh throughout our stay. We especially appreciated the sunny balcony with a table and chairs – a lovely spot to relax in the afternoon. The bathroom felt luxurious, and the shower was amazing, with powerful water pressure (though oddly, no hand soap except the bar soap provided). The firm memory foam mattress and pillows worked well for us, though they may not be to everyone’s taste. The room also included a secure safe, fridge, and espresso machine, and was topped up daily. There is a (very narrow) lift to the top floor for suitcases. The main drawback for us was the noise. The apartment is divided into multiple rooms (maybe six?) along one corridor with very thin walls, which we hadn’t quite realised when booking – it’s a little like staying in upmarket student accommodation. From around 10pm each night there was consistent disruption: taps running, toilets flushing, hairdryers, phone alarms in the morning, and frequent door slamming. The free communal water machine in the hallway, while a nice idea, was used by other guests at midnight and kept waking us up. The constant noise of doors – slamming, locking, slamming again – was particularly frustrating. This was partly down to inconsiderate behaviour, but also a flaw in the layout and setup of the space. The biggest shock was being woken at 8am on Monday morning by loud construction work right above us, with no advance warning from the hosts - the works have clearly been going on for some time and didn't just start that morning. While of course the actions of other guests aren't the host’s fault, there are simple improvements that could help – soft-close doors, clearer house rules (i.e. no electrical appliances like hairdryers after 11pm!), or even a “quiet please” sign in the corridor. Sadly, because of the lack of peace and poor sleep, we wouldn’t choose to return – though it’s a beautiful space in a brilliant location, and could be a great fit for deep sleepers or those staying just one night. This stay was part of our honeymoon trip and we sadly couldn't relax in the evenings due to the noise.

The location couldn’t be more perfect—just a short walk (about three or four blocks) from both Piazza della Signoria and the stunning Santa Maria del Fiore. The area is filled with restaurants, shops, and the vibrant charm Florence is known for. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed. The staff member who met me at check-in was warm and friendly—she waited for me and gave me a lovely walkthrough of the building. Entering the historical building was a special moment in itself: massive wooden doors, beautiful stone stairs, and a charming old-school elevator. And then you step into your apartment, which is modern, spotless, and fully equipped with everything you could need. Every day, you’re offered both still and sparkling water, the room is cleaned, and everything feels fresh and polished. One of my favorite parts was the view from my window—overlooking those classic terracotta rooftops that make Florence feel like a dream. I will absolutely return to Residenza Manglioni al Bargello on my next trip to Florence. It’s magical, cozy, and in the perfect spot to soak up the beauty of this unique city. Highly recommended!

Suite #5 with extra living area was roomy. Great quality and design style of recently renovated rooms. Initial arrival needs to to be coordinated with host as their is no main desk. It worked out fine and host was very accommodating.

The room was spotless on arrival and throughout our stay was cleaned to a high standard. The property is also in a great location within easy walking distance to all the main attractions. There are also a good selection of restaurants nearby. We didn't opt for breakfast so can't comment on that. My only (tiny) criticism would be that the pillows were firm and I don't think I had a choice of a softer option. That's just me though and hubby found pillows to be perfect for him!
