- Jessica (9/5): Beautiful high-end apartment located in a gorgeous part of Athens - Beautiful high-end apartment in a gorgeous part of Athens. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms to ensure that our family did not feel on top of each other. Paid parking downstairs and plenty of cafes and services to ensure you have everything you need. Kolonaki is a great suburb, full of amazing restaurants, bars and boutique shops. Evangelismos station is right around the corner, which is only 1 or 2 stops from the centre of Athens. Nothing! I loved being in Kolonaki but for some it may not be as centrally located to Ermou and Monastiraki. The walk to Monastiraki takes about 20-30minutes and it's a pleasant walk.
- Stephen (10/5): Wonderful stay in a beautiful apartment! - Our stay at the Kolonaki apartment was perfect in every way. The property is beautiful and located in a very safe, upscale neighborhood. The hosts were very quick to respond when we had a problem with the safe, then notified us about a backpack we left behind and made arrangements to get it back to us. Highly recommended! It couldn't have been any better!

But, "you can't polish a turd" as they say. And this place cannot be polished. Not even the prestigious Kolonaki name can save it.
Owner of this property owns the Property Management company that runs this place, company called My Greek Vacations. Highly recommend you stay away from any property managed by them. As a Greek living abroad who visits Greece regularly, I have stayed in many holiday rentals and can assure you that these people run an operation that taints the great name of Greek hospitality. These people will try to character assassinate you to get away with renting a hazardous property and then rob you of your money. Paid over 5000€ to rent this dump for two weeks. If you have any standards at all, and if you know true quality, you will keep away from this place as it is absolute rubbish. An absolute joke. If anybody is of poor character it is the property owner and his staff.
Side note - the property owner is also a property developer (how ironic). His company is Estia Developments. If you are considering buying in Athens, make sure you buy from somebody who can keep their door handles and locks in place. Not this guy. You will understand what I mean when you read my review below.
Never have I experienced anything so filthy and poorly maintained, particularly when promoted as "luxury", until this place.
Also, property was advertised with parking and booked with a parking spot, which they took away from us AFTER booking rather than honouring what was booked. Should have known from then that this is not an honourable company to deal with.
The only reason they sent tradespeople to do repairs is because the owner is a developer & has people on-hand l. Otherwise, I can guarantee you that we would not have had any repairs done in a timely manner (or at all) given the state of the place, it would seem they turn a blind eye to things unless somebody complains. FILTHY. White socks turned black within 2hrs of check in. Rubbish bits & hair all over floors. Cleaner re-sent & she mopped it with a dirty mop - no vacuum, she even mopped the rugs & pushed dirt & rubbish around the floor & this was apparently "cleaned".
Creaking moving floor boards have seen better days & need urgent changing. Property might seem to present well in photos but it has been trashed in its current state with light fittings loose from the connections. Balcony has a railing height of circa 80cm & is VERY dangerous for children. What makes this even worse is the cheap sliding doors to the balcony. These have locking issues, which is a serious safety concern - particularly if you have children. Balcony door lock was loose & broke on 2nd day. We had to stay in alternate accomm. They refused to refund us for all nights we had to stay elsewhere until they repaired broken door. Their solution was to "close the shutter" but shutter does not lock with a key or electric mechanism. The shutter has a turn lock on handle that a child can turn & open - THIS IS NOT SAFE!! Safety isn't this property's concern. Also, the main entry door handle came off in our hand. This is a major safety hazard. In the event of an emergency, we would be trapped in a 3rd floor apartment with no way out. They sent a man to "repair" it but handle came loose again the next day & even the tradesman admitted that handle needs replacing but it is not his decision to make (in other words, the owner's philosophy is "get it done cheap & who cares if it's unsafe").
Broken toilet seat. Mould in shower. Rug in dining room is trip hazard & filthy. Mattresses are cheap - you'll need physio after sleeping on them. Apartment block is old & feels like you stepped into the 60's & shared with commercial offices. Cheap furniture made to "look good".
No feeling of luxury at all.
