• Rebecca (4/5): - The hotel was in a goid neighborhood, but that was it. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The bathroom was full of mould (walls and shower curtain) and emited a strong, unpleasant odour. The doors (especially the bathroom door) and walls of the room were visibly dirty. The bedding consisted of a topper placed on two mattresses which were themselves very dirty, raising hygiene and comfort concerns. These conditions fall well below the standards of cleanliness and safety that one can reasonably expect. In the last night we were also as well locked out our room, because the digital system failed. I have complained, but no answer came back. As a paying guest this is unacceptable.
• Nurcan (6/5): - Sauberkeit des Zimmers liess zu Wünschen übrig, Grösse okay. , falls man früher kommt, kann man Koffer in unbesetztem Vorraum deponieren. Das ist sicherlich nicht jedermanns Sache. Kontakt per whatsapp funktioniert recht gut und zügig.
• Armin (6/5): “Hotel” discreto in posizione perfetta - Struttura situata in ottima posizione al Vondelpark a 2 passi dal quartiere dei musei (Rijksmuseum, Museo Van Gogh, Moco, …). A parte il check in online che ormai è normale, per l’intero soggiorno non ho incontrato nessuno del personale). Comunque la communicazione fuzionava bene tramite Whatsapp. La pecca peggiore è la pulizia: il giroscale in moquette semrava non abbi mai visto un aspirapolvere, le lenzuola non erano fresche (almeno uno sicuramente), e il cestino in bagno non era svuotato. Cosa gradita era che mi hanno lasciato mettere la bici in reception al riparo (cosa non prevista inizialmente) e di avere anche dato la possibilità di lasciare il bagaglio in struttura il giorno della partenza. Quindi, se non si è esigenti, struttura accettabile per qualche giorno ad Amsterdam
• Jose Luis (6/5): - Our stay was good perhaps the room didn't have good Wi-Fi, was super slow and the signal was poor, no frige, no iron, no microwave, and the bathroom extractor didn't work, I reported it but they didn't do anything about it. The room had a tv and a safe, if you ask me, it doesn't worth it for the price we paid.
• Oezgen (10/5): - Sehr gut gelegen. Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten fussläufig erreichbar um eine Vielfalt an Restaurants in direkter Umgebung. Trotz der zentralen Lage ruhig gelegen.
• Annie (6/5): - The room was small but comfortable. The location was very convenient to Leidesplein, the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museums and Vondel Park. The check in and electronic key system was inconvenient and confusing. They provided a Nespresso machine but not the little coffee packets—so we couldn’t actually make coffee. There was no person on site for reception or guidance, but weirdly—while we were out—someone entered the room to tidy the bedding. That felt creepy since they didn’t bring coffee or any other amenities—it just seemed like an invasion of our privacy. I would recommend it to budget/no frills travelers, but most people could find a more pleasant location. There was a yard in back—but we weren’t allowed to enter. In general, they made no attempt to make this a pleasant stay—just a functional place to sleep.
• Isaac Federico (6/5): - At first I was not able to contact the hotel to receive instructions, once it was solved, access was easy. The room is very small, it was so hot without AC. Door in bathroom creaks a lot. Convenient location (walking distance for museums)
• jordan (2/5): - Hotel Vondel is the absolute WORST HOTEL in Amsterdam I would not bother coming to a place like this! The hotel lies on expedia about amenities and also lied about having a 24 hour front desk! The hotel advertised 11am check-in and when we arrived we were sent away until 3pm as no room was available! Not front desk was working we had to talk to a door bell it was a very scary experience for a family feeling stuck across the world! After checking in to The hotel it was was small dirty and noisy next to a party place! Not suitable for family as they have a bar and a party atmosphere next store it completely ruined our trip booking this hotel caused a lot of extra in needed stress
• zeynep meral (10/5): - konum olarak çok merkezi bir konumda ve her yere ulaşım oldukça kolaydı. beklentiniz çok yüksek değilse gayet ideal bir otel.
• Ann-Kathrin (6/5): - Das Zimmer war klein aber das war völlig in Ordnung. Es war alles sauber. Die Lage ist super. Das Bett war leider sehr unbequem und viel zu weich. Schade, dass die Dusche keinen richtigen Duschkopf hatte.
• Sture (10/5): Bra läge - Boende låg bra till med tanke på vilka aktiviteter jag skulle göra. Incheckningen gjordes helt genom deras app, även upplåsning av dörrarna i entrén, till korridor samt till rummet. Väldigt smidigt och bra! Tänk på att ha en laddad mobil med tanke på detta! Det fanns även en reception öppen dygnet runt, en trappa ner från entrén. Möjligen att det fanns en ringklocka, om du inte har en mobil som fungerar, när du anländer.
• Claire (4/5): Please do your research properly on this hotel.. - In a few words, the hotel’s pictures do not match the room we stayed in. Could be that the pictures were taken when the hotel was newer. Bed comfy, (however mattress torn) that’s the only positive. Room narrow and dark, bathroom just big enough for a child, curtain hanging off, stained pillows and you can tell it’s been that way for a long time, banging doors all night long and people stomping around in the early hours for extended periods of time. Receptionist I spoke with remotely, talked over me the whole time so difficult to get our self check in. It states the hotel has reception is staffed and open until 10pm this is not true! She also told me I could stay elsewhere at my expense and I would not be refunded..I will be pursuing getting some if not all of my money refunded!
• celedonio jr (10/5): We will definitely stay on this place again in the - I miss this place already. we had the biggest room in the ground floor, family of 4 with infant. staffs are friendly, seems they love talking to people. this is a vintage building, I don't expect a laser straight walls and floors. at least, owners and staff did their best to keep everything upon modern standards, I appreciate them for that. Me and my 9 years old daughter listened to a customer yelling on the phone about no water flowing in his room upstairs, we just look at each other and smile. As we went out, a plumber came in to solve the issue. We will definitely stay on this place again in the future. The location of this place is perfect, near tourist spots etc.
• Sidsel Marie (4/5): Lidt tarveligt ift prisen - Beliggenheden var super god, gåafstand til mange seværdigheder og hyggelige restauranter og park tæt på. Men der var ikke gjort grundigt rent, døren til toilettet var i stykker, samme med kaffemaskine og safe. Ingen elevator og sparsom bemanding i reception. Selvom de ansatte, der var, var søde og hjælpsomme.

• Taylor (4/5): - Water worked only half the time but staff was kind and tried to help. Very steep steps to third floor was a bit scary if you have a big bag. Great location. Would only stay again if extremely cheap but don’t spend too much on this, especially if you need a shower badly.

• Verified traveler (4/5): Beware the 3rd floor single rooms! - This hotel is in an old Dutch home with four levels and a very steep and narrow stairwell, and no elevator. My tiny single room was on the top floor, was L-shaped and barely fit me and my suitcase. It had a skylight window that clearly had a leak as there was mold all around the window and the room reeked of mold and bleach from the bathroom. This room might be fine for a young budget traveler with a light suitcase or backpack, but was not good for me. I will say the staff was kind and helpful.

• Nick (4/5): - Unless it’s all you can afford, don’t stay here. Rooms are the smallest I’ve ever seen. Washroom was HORRIBLE. No lift, had to walk three floors with two suit cases.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Birthday get away - Lovely place to stay for an easy going couple of days. The location is wonderful as it's tucked away from the masses but Vondel Garden is a quick walk away if you wanted to spend some time in nature and close enough to the excitement not to feel left out. Rooms are a little on the smaller side, and as a result get very warm but make up for this with the size of the wetrooms and windows. Close to local amenities which is perfect if you're in the mood for a late night treat.
• twyla (8/5): - Beware if you have trouble with steps, there were 45 from front door to room 202. Of course they are narrow, that's typical. We found it charming, but we had only a small luggage and are in pretty good shape. It seems to have good security, and fair amount of hot water. Room 202 is a family room with a queen bed and 2 twins. Staff is helpful and friendly. The hotel is a just few minutes walk to Hard Rock cafe and great restaurants. Get off the bus from the airport at leidsplain.
• Timothy (4/5): Tiny room with very unreliable water - Tiny top floor single room. Mosquitos in the room -- in October! Uncomfortable bed. But the worst thing was the water. In the late afternoon, the shower just barely dribbled down the wall for 20 minutes before the water pressure returned and the shower was then fine. Late on the evening the tap on the sink had nothing. No hot water, no cold water. Just some weird gurgling. 10 minutes later the water worked fine.
• RISA (8/5): - トラムの駅も徒歩圏内にいくつかあり、美術館なども徒歩圏内だったため観光に便利でした。 部屋は清潔でしたが、タオルの匂いはあまりいい香りでなかったので星−1にしました。 部屋の照明が暗めだったのと、隣が公園になっていて夜8時ごろまではすこし外の音がザワザワしている感じだったので、夜寝るだけならあまり問題はありませんがホテルでゆっくり過ごすのにはあまり向いていないかと感じました

• Alexis (10/5): - The hotel was right next to Vondelpark and I enjoyed being close to nature and havjng a tree view. I was able to rent a bike from the hotel and I rode around the park. I dined at the nearby restaurants, which were two blocks away, and the staff was accommodating and friendly.

• Verified traveler (8/5): Family trip in summer - Room was okay for 4 adult stay. Bathroom was decent size. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Watch outs: No A/C. Stairs are very steep. Try to get a room on first floor. Ours was on 2nd floor and you have to be careful going up and down. This is an old building so not a lot of room for stairs. Also, the shower is a bit slow.

• Robert (10/5): - Great place to lay your head for a nice traveling stay in Amsterdam! It’s a small room but had two cozy beds and functional bathroom. Highly recommend this place if your main goal is NOT to be in the room much as it is quite small. We were hardly there and just used it to sleep. Close to public transportation and plenty of restaurants and shops.
• Georgia (6/5): Room sucks but staff is nice - Staff were all accommodating and nice but the hotel is in shambles. The water stops working in the mornings because their plumbing can’t handle more than two people using it at once. Also there’s no elevator and the stairs are really steep. There are a couple other things but those are the big two.

We stayed in a family room and it was nice and clean but nothing extra. We got breakfast in a bag to eat in the room, it was not the best but it was something. THe coffee machine in the room was nice. Overall, nice and budget-friendly hotel, nothing extraordinary but it offers all the basics.
• Graham (8/5): More than just the price. - Our stay was short but exciting. If you are looking for fantastic views this isn't the place. However the hotel is clean tidy and has really helpful staff. It's located very close to all the main districts in Amsterdam with literally 10 easy walking minutes to them all. We were allowed to leave our bag's early from an early flight before check in and could pay extra for early room check in( not required). Easy walk to tram stop. Will advice anyone to purchase the 24hours tram tickets as valid much more than 90min bus. The hotel rooms are not large but totally adequate for shorter stays, we had hot showers but could have done with airvent extraction!! Good access to small outside space. Hotel has dated decor in the reception and corridor areas but sparce in the bedroom. I would definitely recommend this for short stays especially if you aren't going to be using it for more than just functional purposes. It was cheap but delivered more than just the price.

Hotel is very well located and staff were friendly and helpful. Good for a short stay and if you’re not spending much time in the room.

And breakfast in the morning is delightful! Hotel Vondel Garden is a short walk to visit Van Gogh and all the Dutch Masters!

Breakfast ok again basic .Again, hardworking, pleasant staff except for one.
