• Chris (9/5): Excellent place to stay in Zermatt - The apartment is very well furnished with everything you need for a comfortable stay. We were lucky to be upgraded to a twin apartment that was a very generous size. The kitchenette is well equiped and easy to use. The bathroom is good, but had obviously not yet been refurbished and was quite dated. Just the bathroom

• Paradee (10/5): One of the best accommodations we ever stayed. - It was the best accommodation amongst the 4 we stayed during this trip and one of the best we ever stayed of all time. We were lucky to get free upgrade to a one-bedroom apartment. The apartment was spacious for two ppl. I saw two hidden built-in extra beds so I assumed it could accommodate up to 4 ppl. It was spotless clean and all the furniture are brand new, given that it was renovated in December 2025. The bed and sofas were firm but comfortable. There were a couple of closets with lots of hangers and many hooks here and there. The kitchen was fully equipped with a built-in dish washing machine. Though we would prefer a laundry machine and a dryer over the dish washing one. There's a supermarket near by. The check in/out location (hotel) was around 5 minutes walk from the La Perle. The staff at the check in hotel were lovely too. The only tiny downside, though it was pretty warm inside, we didn’t feel comfortable leaving the window slightly open for some air, given that our apartment was on ground floor. It would be good if a fan was provided but we didn’t find one in the unit or we might have missed it. Still overall, it was above our expectation and we loved it.

• Mark (8/5): Apartment was great. Check in process was not. - The apartment had been recently remodeled. It was a high quality job. The apartment was roomy and well laid out. I don't have any negative comments about the apartment itself. The process of check in left much to be desired. The apartment is a short walking distance from the train station. However, there was major street construction being done and that confused us. We arrived in town on the Glacier Express at 6pm. It was raining. When we finally found the building, there was a note to check in at a different hotel. I think the check in process could have been handled better. Also, the apartment had great balconies but no view of the Matterhorn.
• Vijay (8/5): We loved our stay - Following a misunderstanding regarding the check-in, we were upgraded to a two-bedroom apartment, which we highly appreciated. The apartment was clean, well equipped with all necessary facilities and it is highly recommended for long stays. Check-in registration is done at Alpen Hotel, which is within walking distance of La Perle. If you miss the check-in instructions, you may end up going directly to La Perle with all your luggage. Additionally, after completing the check-in registration, guests have to carry their luggage themselves to La Perle, as no porter service is provided by Alpen Hotel.

• Rosalind (9/5): Great overnight stop to catch the Glacier Express. Friendly helpful welcome at the apartment. - Angelina, the cleaner/concierge at the apartment was superb 5*****. She was welcoming and cheerful and helped us go straight to our room. The apartment was a few minutes walk from the check in hotel. Lovely clean room room with good bed and shower/bathroom. A view of the Matterhorn from the street. Easy walking to town centre, and we walked with our luggage to the station to catch the Glacier Express. We could have caught an electric taxi but enjoyed the walk- even if everything is always uphill!! Very good Co-op type shop at the top of the street. The Swiss town planners do not allow many signs, or street name signs large enough to read! We do not ALL use google maps-just saying. Each apartment building has its name painted discretely, once, on the end of the building-not the front which faces the street. There are NO CARS allowed in Zermatt so you either walk with your luggage and look for your apartment or you pay around £35 to go one or two streets away. I love the green policy but bigger signs for streets and hotels would REALLY help.

• Jennifer (8/5): Very enjoyable however would recommend some kind of air con or heating control - Apartment was beautiful, immaculate and had excellent amenities. Very good location and good value. It was far too hot. Thete is underfloor heating throughout the apartment and thete is no heating control. We had to leave the window and patio door open all the time and even though it was 0 degrees in the night outside it was still warm in the apartment and difficult to get comfortable. Then ay 7.30am building work commenced so you were awske early but couldn"t close the door and eindoe as the apartment was too hot.

Everything was immaculate and we really enjoyed having a kitchenette and balcony for ourselves. Still a lot of construction work happening around you in Zermatt - but you can't control this.

• Erik (10/5): Schöne Unterkunft mit einem noch schöneren Zimmer an schrecklicher Lage! - Wegen der vielen Bauarbeiten in Zermatt war der Zugang zum dazugehörigen Hotel (Alpen Resort & Spa) nicht eben leicht zu finden. Nach der dortigen Schlüsselübergabe dann aber ein Katzensprung bis zu den La Perle Apartments. Äusserst zuvorkommender Empfang, ziemlich überteuertes Restaurant (Peak Fine), wunderschönes Zimmer. Zermatt hat uns überhaupt nicht gefallen. "Think Big" scheint dort die einzige Devise zu sein. Der Ort versprüht überhaupt keinen Charme - einfach schrecklich! Gut haben wir in Zermatt nur eine Nacht verbracht, denn alle anderen Stationen unserer Reise waren schlichtweg traumhaft.

• Annette (7/5): Great except for check in - Overall, the facilities were cozy for a one night stay (2 people) but I would recommend the larger apartment if staying longer. The kitchen facilities were basic but had everything required. The bed was comfy except for pillows which were rubbish. Lumpy, no support. Had an issue with the shower over bath which felt dangerous climbing in and out with no handrails. (I'm short). Also, the overhead oven would never meet safety protocols in Australia!. The main issue I had was the check in which required lugging luggage to two separate locations. The proximity to the train station was a major draw to booking this apartment but this was completely nullified by check in procedure. check in

• Adam (10/5): Úžasný pobyt v Zermattu - Ubytování bylo blízko nádraží i spodní stanice horského metra. Pokoje prošly velice zdařilou rekonstrukcí, společné prostory a koupelny jsou staršího data, ale čisté a funkční. Kuchyňka, ač malá, byla velmi dobře vybavená. Wellness v partnerském hotelu byl nedaleko a měl vysokou úroveň. Zermatt je město bez aut, což je skvělé, je tu skutečně čistý vzduch a tím, že není úplně snadno dostupný, má převážně sportovně založené návštěvníky. Chyběla nám čtecí lampička nad přistýlkou a uvítali bychom nahrávače ležáků v lyžárně. Místní skibusy jsou v ranní a odpolední špičce tak narvané, že se na ně nedá moc spoléhat. Naštěstí to bylo blízko jak na vlak na Gornergrat, tak na metro.

Ich habe mich am Schienbein verletzt. - Das hin- und her mit dem Hotel ist etwas mühsam. Besonders am Abreisetag wenn man noch Ski fährt und die Koffer und Skitaschen zuerst ins Hotel bringen muss (es besteht keine Möglichkeit die Koffen im Apartmentgebäude zu lassen) - Einmal funktionierte der Türfunktion nicht und wir wurden ausgesperrt. - Meine Frau hat bei der Reception ausgecheckt- ihr wurde gesagt alles (Karten, Spiel) im Zimmer zu lassen. 1h später wurde ich angerufen, dass wir nicht ausgecheckt sind und das geliehene Spiel nicht zurückgebracht haben. Soweit so gut - als meine Frau wieder an die Reception ging wurde sie ermahnt - wohlgemerkt von der gleichen Person, die ihr 2 h vorher erlaubt hat die Karten und das Spiel im Zimmer zu lassen und "einfach so" das Apartment zu verlassen - dass das Zimmer um 11 Uhr an der Reception ausgecheckt sein muss. Erst nach einer eindringlichen Erinnerung konnte sich die Dame an der Reception erinnern und hat sich entschuldigt. Das ganze war allerdings recht ärgerlich.

• Daniel (10/5): Great place to stay, already booked for next year! - Beautifully appointed. Lots ok hooks to hang up ski clothing and mittens to dry. Heated towel rack for towels or to dry small pieces of clothing that were washed. Kitchen was nice to eat breakfast I did use the kitchen to cook one easy dinner. Liked that you could access the spa at the alpin , although we never actually used the spa on this trip. No heated book driers in the ski room.

• Darren (8/5): Renovated, well located, good sized apartment - The apartment was of good size with a separate bedroom and a well stocked kitchenette. Well located with a ski hire facility and bus stop within 50m and only a short 10 minute walk to the train station and the centre of Zermatt. Ski storage was provided onsite. Two additional single wall mounted pull-down beds were provided should you need to accommodate additional guests. No microwave. No laundry facilities. The bathroom was dated and lacked sufficient shelving for toiletries. Our apartment was dark as it faced another apartment which required the curtains to be drawn for privacy; however, mountain facing rooms would afford better views and provide a brighter outlook which would definitely increase my rating for the apartment.

• Guido (9/5): Eigentlich perfekt für uns. - Das Frühstück war optional im Hotel in der Nähe: einfach perfekt, sowohl was Auswahl als auch die Bedienung anbelangt. Die Lage war für Fussgänger ideal. Das Studio an sich: Innenausstattung und Grösse, Skiraum. Das Badezimmer ist wohl das nächste was renoviert wird. War OK, aber im Gegensatz zum restlichen Studio schon etwas älter (mangelnde Ablagen).
