- Hristo (8/5): Great house, but needs lots of love to be brought up to former glory - Huge house for our group of 5. The location is excellent, very quiet and accessible, but just off the main street with all the bars and restaurants. The pool area with the jacuzzi is beautiful and we enjoyed lounging in the back yard. The house is in dire need of some repairs. It seems it hasn't been maintained in years. Wear and tear is everywhere, from missing tiles in the jacuzzi, to cupboard doors hanging on a single hinge in the kitchen. We had to check out 10am on 1st of Jan. I hoped the management company wouldn't be too strict about this (pretty sure there was no one to check in on New Year), but they were and we were practically rushed out on our last day. There was also a guy who got in touch with us to offer assistance if needed, but then was slow to respond and ultimately didn't answer to the one request we actually had. It's a great house overall and NY in Jaco was a success to my mind, but the cost was more than a chalet of a similar size in Switzerland and the service didn't match that.
