- Quentin (5/5): Owned by Americans who are patently trying to extract as much income as possible and no service! - Its a good looking hotel, but scratch the surface and you find out what's wrong! Not good at all No cleaning of my room. Breakfast was 10 minutes walk away and the menu was, if I'm being charitable, sparse.. whilst others around me are a decent breakfast off their 'normal' menu in the same café!! Nowhere to hang any clothes. Bedside lights that were ridiculously large so had to be placed on the floor for fear of them falling. No TVs in the rooms (I mean I've never stayed even in a lodge in the mountains without TV!) (management say this is to prevent noise which is just rubbish!) No form of service whatsoever. No bar, no drinks, nothing, just a room and a plunge pool Front of hotel bolted shut from 5pm daily. I was in Costa Rica for 3 months and every other place I stayed felt like good value for money. This felt like it was massively oversold online and overpriced in reality for what it delivers. I submitted this feedback to management before submitting it here, only to get batted back with weak answers and poor excuses for a rubbish performance.

- Debbi (9/5): Blue serenity is a wonderful place to stay and explore Nosara! - This is a beautiful little gem in the middle of Nosara. My room was spotless and fresh and modern. I was only here for a quick overnight stay before transferring to another hotel. My flight was delayed and the front desk staff stayed until I got here to be sure I got into my room. The front desk closes at seven, but were very communicative when I told them my flight was delayed and I may arrive late. My room was very modern, and clean, with wonderful shampoo, conditioner, soap, and body wash amenities. The AC was perfect and the quaint swimming pool is right outside my door in the lounge/lobby area. Perfect for meeting up with friends! I ventured across the street later in the evening when it was dark and luckily found a wonderful little Peruvian bar/restaurant to enjoy some food and drink to start my week in Nosara. During the day, the property is a great walking distance to Nosara to visit all of the shops, markets, and local cuisine. I was here on a Friday and next-door is a little surf shop that seemed to be having a TGIF party. :-) I’m not saying that I didn’t like the property because of it, but if you were looking for a quiet respite on a weekend you may have a fun party going on next-door that you may want to join!

- Hannah (1/5): They don't care about guests but only about money, ghosted by the management - Modern standard, bright facilities, the receptionist was very friendly and competent. It's very small and therefore overpriced, and on a loud mainstreet, which is all ok depending on what you're looking for I booked the same day as I arrived for 4 nights. Already before the 1st evening I let them know that I'll leave the next day, bc it was too noisy and I don't like Nosara in general. I didn't expect them to do a full refund but to be open to talk and to be met on eyelevel, no matter if I'm a paying client or not. Promises of getting back to me in 1 day were broken, then they said they cannot do a refund bc the room would be empty otherwise (which is invalid bc I booked the same day as I arrived), and since then no one answers, they just ghosted me. This is not how humans (and customers) should be treated, that's why I write this review.
- Sally (9/5): Blue Serenity is a wonderful hotel in the heart of a very special and sacred part of the world. - I was so grateful for the opportunity to stay at Blue Serenity. I liked everything about this little gem in the middle of North Guiones, Nosara. The staff Angel was so kind and accommodating, and I loved speaking with the woman who cleaned my room as well. The little kitchen and pool were perfect for my needs. I didn't try surfing... Next time! Like everything in Guiones, the price was a lot for me to handle! I pray that the prices of everything in Guiones do not escalate to the point that only the ultra rich can afford to experience this beautiful place.
- Ardeshir (6/5): - The staff were very polite and regularly offered to help with any local needs. The place is clean and well kept. However, the small rooms ("Basic Single Room") are super tiny, with no barriers between the bed and toilet bowl, which is right next to the shower, also with no separation, so it was difficult to avoid the scent of the plumbing / septic tank coming up through the room (I covered the shower drain with a towel). Personally, I found the bed way too soft and the polyester filled pillows to be way too hard and thick ... that's a matter of personal preference, I guess. My primary issue was that there was a gap between the pane of the window and the wall, so bugs were getting into the room and bit me at least a dozen times each night, had to wake up to scratch for half an hour to an hour before falling back to sleep. I brought this to the attention of the reception. They were concerned, but not quickly compelled to act ... I went and bought two rolls of different kinds of tape myself to block the gaps. They eventually sent someone, but to do the same, but it was never clear that they would. The location is great and in town, so you don't need a car. The walk to the restaurant where they have a deal to offer the included breakfast (not offered on the hotel premises) is only about 5 minutes, and quite tasty, if limited.
- E (6/5): Goed - Very clean, new and modern rooms. I know it happens more, but i left my brandnew surfshort in the room, and mysteriously it could not be “Found”. I really liked my stay, but this did ruined the vibe (as there was no doubt on where is was).

Safe convenient location. Good place to stay for solo travelers. Free breakfast at Naked Foods. Fairly close to beach.

- Lars (9/5): Superb - The owner Kyle was really nice and gave us a lot of great advice. The staff, especially Lorenzo, were really friendly as well. The hotel was very clean, looked really cool and was very nice. The rooms were comfortable and well insulated and the bathroom was great. There were free surfboards available but they were all rather short on some weren't in great condition but they were free so it was nice. Breakfast was really nice in a seperate restaurant. Check-in was possible despite us arribing after the check-in times. We weren't informed about where the breakfast was until we asked. We totally forgot about it the first two days.
- Michael (10/5): Great Hotel for Independent Guests - Very much enjoyed my stay, and the facilities were perfect for a low maintenance solo backpacker. Angel, especially, was a great front desk agent/concierge and made sure my check-in and stay were top-notch. I enjoyed getting to know him during my brief stay. The hotel is very much self-serve otherwise - with your room door code sent in advance and very little staff around most of the day - which allows for a high degree of independence and solitude.

About the size of two queen size beds including the shower. I’m talking sleeping in the camper van size. Also, my room was right next to the road and there was a fair bit of noise through the night that woke me up a few times.

- Nicole (10/5): Exceptional - The esthetic is so cute!! The location is very good and the staff was so friendly and helpful. They have coffee made ready in the morning, a water station and a fridge to keep things cool, towels, even surf boards! It's a very cute little spot and I would stay there again!
- Caleb (9/5): Superb - Very clean room and very comfortable beds. 10 minute walk to the beach and 5 minute walk to the busier section with shops/restaurants. Pool is quite small but was fine for taking a short dip. Pool might need a stronger filter since it seemed to collect debris quickly and water wasn't moving through much. There is a bit of noise from the road, but that is not the hotel's fault. My rooms was very bright in the morning. Recommend an eye mask for anyone sensitive to light.

- Kat (7/5): Okay, but overpriced - The location is pretty convenient -- only 10-min walk to the beach, restaurants and right around the corner from the skate park (if you're into it). The room itself was spacious, with a big and comfy bed. The bathroom had a high-quality washing gel, shampoo and conditioner, which is appreciated. A beach towel was provided. Obviously, accommodation prices in Nosara are extremely high (generally overpriced compared to other global locations, even the European ones), and this one felt overpriced as well. For this price you'd expect more thoughtful interior design, for example: bedside lamps or shelves in the bathroom to put your cosmetics on. The bathroom light is attached to a *super loud* extractor, you cannot turn the light on without making a lot of noise.

Louis, at the front desk, was extremely hospitable and rooms were cleaned every day. We will stay there again and highly recommend.
- Mariam (9/5): Love them - The staff were lovely. Welcoming, kind, and helpful. I felt safe and at ease. Everything was clean and maintained well. The location was perfect, right on the street with the restaurants and shops. Lorenzo was absolutely lovely. My one problem was the noise. The walls are so thin I was woken up from the cars and bikes on the road. However, using white noise on an app or the machine does help, just doesn't eliminate it. I would go back to them in the future and ask for a room further inside, away from the road.

Luis went the extra mile and assisted us with finding a surf instructor or getting to know our surroundings and restaurants. The rooms are very clean. I loved the aesthetics and vibes of the lobby and pool area. I recommend the room with the little terrace, the two amazing hanging chairs and tables.

- Shakira (10/5): 2 day getaway - The whole staff was friendly and very helpful! Great location, as it's a quick walk to Playa Guiones and many restaurants. The hotel is very cute and well decorated and most importantly, clean and comfortable. The bathroom has no door, so make sure youre very comfortable around whoever youre traveling with. Lol! I was staying with my best friend so it wasn't a problem for us. The staff was up front about it and they did say they are still working on getting doors installed. I believe it is a fairly new hotel. I really enjoyed it. I would definitely stay here again if I ever came back to Nosara.

- Carolina (10/5): cute comfortable budget option - small but super cute Lovely property. Its off the main road but still quiet. My room had ants and they upgraded me to a larger room. Places in Nosara are quite pricey and this is a great budget option. Its not too far of a walk from beach and rest of restaurants & shops (about half a mile?), etc but at night its dark so bring flashlight (or make sure phone is charged to use flashlight on it), & be advised during the day that short walk can leave you hot and sweaty. Overall a great budget option with a pool and nice helpful accomodating staff a little farther from the main "hotel and restaurant" area of nosara (down a dark road at night)

- Mark (3/5): Not recommendable - Comfortable bed. New furnishings. Nice design Felt quiet unwelcomed on arrival. Staff didn’t care that we were there or not. Extremely small room. Toilet in the bedroom right next to the bed with no divider. Unsuitable for 2 people and way over priced. No possibility to block sun in the morning and safe is not secured to anything and can be taken away easily.
