• Samantha (10/5): Gorgeous b&b in a cool location where you are surrounded by nature. - Very cosy and tranquil stay. We loved feeling close to nature and being out of the main town. We could see animals from our bedroom window. Carlos was really helpful with recommendations, taxis and storing our luggage before we went down to Patagonia. We couldn’t wait to get back to Bories guest house after our trek, we knew it would be warm and comfortable to rest and recover after a week in the outdoors camping. Nothing, it was perfect!

• Randall (10/5): A true gem in Puerto Bories! Highly recommended! - ALL in this property is to like. The owner, Carlos, is the perfect host - always providing good tips for our trip and with an attention to detail and customer service that are hard to find. The Guest House is perfect - at night, it is great to seat at the living room to see the fireplace fire and recharge for next day. Puerto Bories is a great quiet location - with many things to explore at walking distance - including the museum and bar at The Singular Hotel. Also, if you are planning to do the Balmaceda and Serrano Boat Tour, you can just walk from the hotel to Puerto Bories harbor to get in the boat (2 minute walk). Our room was impeccable - and the breakfast was natural and fresh - a great treat to start the day. Puerto Natales is just 5 minutes by Uber/Taxi. Hands-off this is an incredible place to stay! Highly recommended! It is a true gem!

Every corner is properly arranged and decorated in a natural and comfortable way. You just feel like at home. The owner Carlos was very friendly and helpful. And he is a great photographer too and all the photos from him hanging in the hotel bring a lot of special character to the place. Totally enjoy the stay. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed and well taken care of. Carlos is an exceptional host who truly goes above and beyond for his guests. He exceeded all our expectations in accommodating our questions and needs, especially regarding my husband’s celiac disease and his requirement for gluten free food. Carlos made sure that everything was safe, thoughtful, and carefully prepared, which gave us great peace of mind. We are forever grateful for his kindness, attentiveness and care. The guest house itself is very charming, comfortable, and beautifully maintained, with a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes you feel at home. • C.V. (10/5): Wonderful, highly recommended. - It is a boutique hotel and very clean. Staff are very friendly and manager Raphael Lim is wonderful. You feel very welcome at the hotel. It is very clean and close to the main street of El Calafate.

It is well appointed and run well! - I have never seen such a charming property, rustic and situated just on Puerto Bories. It is such a nice escape! There isn’t much within walking range. I wished there were the option to rent / borrow bikes. However, Ubers and taxis to the property are easy to use.

Special mention for Carlos and Cristina who were super friendly and organised everything for us. Pick up from the airport. A private tour of Torres Del Paine National Park. • Katrina (10/5): Brilliant stay at a gorgeous guesthouse which was the perfect place to chill before the W trek - Beautifully decorated guesthouse with lovely views and high-quality rustic ambience. Excellent breakfast. Great location away from the centre of Puerto Natales but walking distance from two great restaurants - The Singular and Florentina in Simple. Hosts were very helpful including kindly looking after our luggage whilst we did the W trek. The standard room is slightly on the smaller size but this is made up for by the spacious communal areas which are perfect for chilling with a book and drink from the honesty bar.

• Chandler (10/5): This is a destination place to stay. - Staying here was one of our highlights in our trip to Chile. Puerto Bories is outside Puerto Natales - with scenic views of snow capped mountains and walking distance to the Singular hotel. The Guest House is stunningly designed including the rooms and the shared lounges. This is family run and Carlos and his wife have high attention for detail. There is a honesty bar so you can enjoy a glass of wine in the evening after trekking. Carlos gave us advice about what to do and also booked the trip to Bernardo O'Higgins national park - with a boat that departs about 5 mins walk away. Puerto Natales is about 90 minute walk or $5000 (£5) for an uber for dinner. So we went to the Singular one night and the Simple Patagonia for another so we could walk locally.

• Jonathan (9/5): A warm spot in Puerto Natales - Carlos and his wife, the owners of the guest house, were extremely nice and hospitable. The breakfast was excellent. And nothing beats waking up and watching two llamas out your window! Nothing.
• Kim (8/5): Lovely relaxing and peaceful stay - We thought the location was great (peaceful, slightly out of town) but you do need a car really as it’s a fair walk from town. We loved the cosy communal area for reading (we had some bad weather!), the photography everywhere was lovely and the breakfast was lovely too. Staff were lovely and helpful. Thin walls (as with most Chilean hotels it seems!) so could hear neighbours but didn’t bother us as other guests were polite and conscientious. The hotel does have signs up to make sure of this. There was a smell of ammonia in the toilet but think this might be a wider Patagonia/chile drainage issue rather than hotel specific.

• Sebastian (10/5): Ein stilvolles, herzlich geführtes Guesthouse – perfekt für den Besuch des Torres del Paine. - Das Guesthouse ist wunderschön und mit viel Liebe zum Detail im historischen englischen Stil eingerichtet – eine perfekte Kombination aus Komfort, Charme und Geschichte. Das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet, mit frischen regionalen Produkten und sehr aufmerksamem Service. Ina und Carlos sind außergewöhnlich herzliche Gastgeber, die uns bei der Organisation unserer Ausflüge großartig unterstützt haben – sogar der Transfer wurde unkompliziert arrangiert. Eine fantastische und persönlichere Alternative zum deutlich teureren The Singular gleich nebenan. Dass wir nicht noch mehr Zeit dort verbringen konnten! Eine kleine Sauna wäre das i-Tüpfelchen, um sich nach den langen Wanderungen im Torres del Paine zu erholen.
• Peter (10/5): Etwas ganz Besonderes! - Wir haben uns von Anfang an sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Quartier liegt etwas außerhalb von Puerto Natales, aber wir hatten einen Leihwagen und hatten daher kein Poblem dorthin zu kommen. Wir hatten auch bewusst ein Quartier außerhalb gewählt, um etwas abseits vom Trubel zu sein. Die Vermieter waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit! Carlos hat uns viele Tipps für Ausflüge gegeben, die sehr hilfreich waren! Nach unserem ersten Ausflug auf den sehr holprigen, mit vielen Schlaglöchern versehenen Straßen im Nationalpark hatten wir einen kaputten Reifen. Mit dem Wagenheber, der dem Leihwagen beigelegt war, ließ sich der Reifen nicht wechseln. Dank der Hilfe von Carlos ( es war Feiertag), kam jemand um den Reifen zu wechseln. Auch gab uns Carlos eine Adresse, wo wir am nächsten Tag den Reifen reparieren lassen konnten. Ohne Carlos Hilfe hätten wir am nächsten Tag unsere neue Unterkunft im Villa Serrano nicht erreicht! Vielen Dank dafür! Wir konnten am Abend ein Menü dazubuchen, das hervorragend war, ebenso wie das Frühstück. Es war sehr angenehm nach der langen Anreise in der Unterkunft ein Essen zu bekommen. Wir haben dann sogar noch eine Nacht vor unserem Abflug dazu gebucht und waren sehr froh nach dem Trubel im Nationalpark wieder im Bories Guesthouse zu sein! Wir können das Bories-Guesthouse nur empfehlen!

Carlos, the owner/manager, is a most gracious, friendly and accommodating host and who speaks excellent English. No restaurant, but the town is only 10 minutes away by taxi and taxis are cheap. 5 minute walk to Puerto Bories, where boat tours leave for glacier sightseeing. Very highly recommended.

Not to mention the great breakfast and amazing hosts!

We had a beautiful room with views of the mountains and breakfast was delicious with fruit, yogurt, juice, coffee, eggs made to order, cheese, warm buns …. Great spot.

• Joe (9/5): cozy rural setting, great hosts, very quiet at night. - great views and great host. scenic environment away from the hustle & bustle of downtown, but not far away. definitely want to have your own car given the remoteness. great breakfast, nice cozy environment. a few great dining experiences very close by despite it's rural setting. Only concerns was a faint septic aroma in the rooms, but this is common in Chile. Also mattress was a bit lumpy for our liking, but not terrible.

• Lathika (10/5): Phenomenal!! We highly recommend staying at Boris Boutique. We also recommend a wonderful private guide Marcelo (+569406 - The Bories Boutique Guest House has 7 rooms. It has a wonderful area for guests to use for reading and a lovely honor bar to enjoy some phenomenal wines. Breakfast was served at a time to convenient to us. The property is on the water and views are spectacular. The airport is just 5 mins away. I would recommend renting a car to head to town for dinners which is about 10mins away. Carlos and Christina are great hosts ! Everything was PERFECT!
• Colin (10/5): Wonderful quiet location with great views. Traveller Award Winner 2024 and you’ll know why when you stay ! - A really lovely guest house with decor to match. Carlos is extremely friendly and helpful in all respects. Breakfast at 6am was not a problem ! Allowing us to leave our luggage well before check-in time was really helpful as well. Being only 6km from Puerto Natales meant that we enjoyed the peace and quiet from the location, but also within walking distance from town to stretch the legs a bit. Thanks Carlos for a lovely stay..! Nothing

It has a wonderful homey and comfortable feeling, and Carlos and his wife are very kind and helpful, always available to help plan your visits and tours. Breakfast is hearty and gets you ready for a great start. The views from the property are just amazing! Highly recommended.

• Jose (10/5): - When traveling, few experiences match expectations as well as Bories did. I wanted to feel like I was in a distant place, it is Patagonia after all. I wanted a nice cozy bed and breakfast/ boutique hotel, and Bories delivered like no other. The place is homey, great attention to detail, decorated with phenomenal pictures - most of them taken by the owner Carlos- who is also a professional photographer. You can tell he and his wife Cristina have poured themselves into marking Bories a welcoming place. 5 min to airport, five minutes to town (great dining options), and and easy 100 km drive to Torres Del Paine. Loved our stay. You will too.

• Janel (10/5): Beautifully decorated guesthouse with lovely owners. Highly recommend. - Beautiful guesthouse just outside of Puerto Natales. Lovely, comfortable rooms with a view of the water and surrounding countryside. Super friendly and helpful owner, Carlos, who went to the extra effort of mailing our daughter’s headphones back to her. Really above and beyond. The guesthouse is a great base to see Torres del Paine. Close to restaurants, shops and activities. Really good value for money. Nothing.

The atmosphere is incredibly cozy, with stunning views and a delicious breakfast to start your day. It’s a peaceful retreat filled with thoughtful details that create an unforgettable ambiance. Highly recommended for anyone seeking comfort, charm, and tranquility!
• Madiha (10/5): - A beautifully kept place. A photographer’s haven. Very cosy and ideal. Carlos, the owner is very welcoming and helpful. We arrived late from a tour and was supposed to leave for our trip to TdP at 6am, which is earlier than the breakfast time. As a courtesy Carlos made us dinner at 11pm at night and gave us additional things to have breakfast. We stayed an additional night after our trek and felt like we were returning home. There was no check in process, payment, etc. He just gave us the keys and did the paperwork next morning. Also got me his wife’s homemade gluten free granola for breakfast :) If you love photography - you wouldn’t want to stay else where!
