- Lexie (5/5): Disappointing and rude staff, but beautiful rooms - Beautiful rooms and excellent location Very rude unfriendly staff. Supposedly a 5 star hotel but did not help with our bags on arrival and very unfriendly compared to the entirety of the rest of our Costa Rica trip where everybody was amazing! We’re not told about any of the services they had, eg. Spa or concierge/trip services. No hot water and electrical fault in our room overnight, so we had to move all of our stuff with no help and no apology. Sounds silly but if it was rated as a 4 star hotel it would have been fine. I think if this was the first place we had stayed we wouldn’t have minded so much, but the comparison was really stark. Breakfast is not good - order from a menu with no continental options and no ability to go and get your own drinks. Made it very difficult for me to even get a cup of tea.

- Felix (10/5): Für ein paar Tage Erholung an der Karibik genau richtig - Das Essen war sehr hochwertig und mit viel Liebe angerichtet. Das Zimmer war super sauber, wurde jeden Tag gemacht und das Personal freundlich. Die Anlage war super gepflegt und Parkplätze genügen vorhanden. Zu aufhängen der nassen Klamotten wäre eine weitere Option im Zimmer gut gewesen.

Atendentes atenciosos, principalmente elogios a atendente Nicole que nos atendeu com simpatia e sempre sorriso no rosto.o quarto tinha uma vista incrível, hotel muito bom para descansar. Custo beneficio não compensa. Para um Hotel 5 estrelas com o custo mais alto dos hotéis que ficamos na costa Rica, esperávamos mais do Hotel. Ar condicionado velho e não dava conta de refrigerar adequadamente, quarto com pé direito alto e não bloqueava a luminosidade, então assim que amanhecia o quarto ficava totalmente iluminado. Hotel não possui estrutura em nenhuma praia da região, Café da manhã a la carte gourmet servido em pouca quantidade e pedidos adicionais diferentes eram cobrados á parte, exemplo era oferecido 2 frutas de suco . se pedisse outro tipo de fruta era cobrado a parte. Piscina pequena e não era aquecida.

- Daisy (10/5): Relaxing and great customer service - Beautiful rooms very clean and spacious. Staff were very helpful and attentive. Very relaxing stay the whole hotel has a spa like feel to it. Good breakfast and pool area. They even upgraded our room to one double the size with a private pool on our last night which was a lovely surprise as our stay had already been great, couldn’t fault them!
- Tanja (9/5): Luxus with a convenient location - All of the staff members are so sweet and accommodating. We stayed in one of the Villas and they are absolutely amazing, so much space you don't even know what to do with yourself! The whole hotel is maintained so beautifully it is all just picture perfect. They go out of their way to make things happen for you (special wishes at breakfast for example) and everything is very clean. The location is extremely convenient, very close to puerto viejo (few minutes by foot and you're in the center) but never loud. The sunbeds at the pool are not really practical or comfortable. They are basically chairs, which you can not move or change the angle of so the pool area was not really made for a "pool day". There was veery little waterpressure in the showers.

Der Service im Restaurant war exzellent. Wir hatten ein Bungalow mit privatem Pool. Dort war alles sehr stilvoll eingerichtet und sauber! Das gesamte Gelände war top gepflegt. Wir hatten das Glück ein Faultier in den Bäumen im Garten beobachten zu können. Das Frühstück ist ausgezeichnet. Das WLAN fiel sehr oft aus. Die Portionsgrößen im Restaurant beim Abendessen könnten etwas größer sein. Die Lautstärke am Abend war etwas nervig, denn direkt neben dem Hotel befindet sich eine Art Bar. Dort wird bis in die Nacht sehr laute Musik gespielt.

- Daniela (9/5): Idealer Ausgangspunkt um Puerto Viejo und die Umgebung zu erkunden. - Eine wunderschöne Anlage, sehr stylische Architektur und Inneneinrichtung. Sehr leckere Frühstücksoptionen. Die Anlage liegt am Rande von Puerto Viejo. Das quirlige Zentrum ist aber in wenigen Minuten zu Fuss erreichbar. Trinkwasser in der Minibar wird zu überteuerten Preisen angeboten.

Vorher gab es immer einen Teller mit frischen und reifen Magos, Papayas, Ananas etc. - Das Personal ist ausgesprochen freundlich, hilfsbereit und jederzeit ansprechbar. - Das Hotel ist in einem großen, sorgfältig angelegten Garten gelegen, die Zimmer sehr groß und komfortabel. Sehr gutes Hotelrestaurant.- 5 min zum Strand und in den Ort. Nichts.
- Natasha (10/5): Centrico hotel rodeado de naturaleza - Muy céntrico inmerso en vegetación, mucho verde, piscina bonita, habitaciones amplias, tiene gimnasio que no es usual ver en hoteles de la zona El restaurante nos parecio excesivamente caro. Estuvimos en varios similares en la zona con una ingesta parecida y sin embargo en el restaurante de namu se pago mas del doble. Tener en cuenta que por la centrica ubicacion hay mucho ruido de bares vecinos.

Great breakfast options :) We could hear the neighbors pretty good (from outside) at nighttime (we had the last bungalow). Otherwise nothing to complain about. Would definitely go back!

- Nadine (6/5): Overpriced, underwhelming - A handful of stand-out staff: Anastasia in the restaurant who was friendly and welcoming, the night watchman who was chatty and hospitable, and one of the gardeners who would try to find us when he spotted interesting wildlife around the property. The bungalow was clean, comfortable and a reasonable size The food was very tasty with good options, both for breakfast and dinner The gardens were well-kept Our 6th and the only disappointing accommodation in Costa Rica, we found Namu to have a less-than-appealing atmosphere. Most of the staff were at best serious, in general downright miserable and on occasion, rude. Having booked a bungalow with private pool, we found ourselves partially overlooked by the main path and another property. Neither the main pool or our private pool allowed for any actual swimming, having only c. 3m and 1.5m length with a depth greater than ankle height respectively. The private pool was only good for standing in one end...a let-down for the price - a cheaper room without a pool would have provided the same level of stay. The food was overpriced. Watch out for the prices of extras, too - a 30cl bottle of water from the minibar will cost you $3 and laundry will set you back at least $12! The gardens were relatively small, and wandering round to look at wildlife meant walking directly in front of all the other accommodations. The tour we arranged through the hotel to start at 7:30 ended up starting at 8 and we only found out when we asked, having waited at the appointed time. Whilst half an hour may not seem much, it was the difference between us sitting and enjoying breakfast from 7, but instead having a boxed breakfast sandwich. Not worth the price, and a far cry from the Pura Vida vibe we had come to love, this hotel was the antithesis of our intended luxury relaxation spot to end our trip.

Mycket vänlig och hjälpsam personal. Om man skall önska något skulle det vara att någonstans ha möjlighet att sitta i solen.

Kein gratis Wasser auf dem Zimmer anzubieten und stattdessen eine 0,5L Flasche mit 1.800 CRC zu berechnen, passt nicht zum Standard des Hotels und sollte dringend angepasst werden.

- Thomas (9/5): - A boutique hotel with not too many guests. Great food and nice rooms. We had a Suite with separate pool which was small but still nice for a quick refresh. Hotel staff were very attentive and always there to assist. Location also close to the little town and beach. They should provide 2 small towels per room with 2 guests instead of only one. Fruit serving at breakfast could be varied a little. Sunday cleaning wasn't up to the standards compared to the other days. Wifi was not stable at all times. TV could have been bigger in relation to the room size.

Es agradable y puedes ir andando al pueblo sin problema. Para el precio que tiene, esperas un poco mas de calidad en ciertos detalles/servicios. Me pareció un gesto feo que te den 20 dólares de regalo para probar el restaurante pero tiene tantos condicionantes que cuando lo vas a usar no te lo aplican…, ni siquiera aunque te hayas gastado 100 dólares en cenar una sola persona… (a mi no me aplicaron el descuento porque cené una hora más tarde del horario en que se debía gastar ese bono, que por lo visto es entre las 18.00 y las 19.30… para mí eso es hora de merendar, no de cenar; no leí toda la letra pequeña, así que culpa mía, pero aun así no pude evitar la sensación de que me habían tomado un poco el pelo). O que las toallas de la piscina estén muy viejas y llenas de agujeros… no son cosas relevantes, son solo algunos detalles que se deberían cuidar más en un sitio así.

- Sabine (9/5): Schöner Aufenthalt, hat aber auch seinen Preis - Sehr schöne gepflegte Anlage und tolle Zimmer mit bequemen Betten. Der kleine private Pool war auch schön, müsste aber mal gewartet werden, da die Ablaufabdeckung lose war. Die Frühstücksoptionen waren schön hergerichtet und schmackhaft Unser Fernseher hatte keine TV Funktion, lediglich Filme. Nach Meldung an der Rezeption sagte man uns entsprechende Einstellung zu, was aber nicht passierte. War für uns aber keine Katastrophe.

Parkiet na basenie wymaga renowacji. Niektóre deski są już zniszczone. Materace mogliby chować podczas deszczu bo bardzo nasiąkają wodą

- Evelyne (10/5): Angenehmes Hotel - Das Frühstück war sehr gut und die Bedienung sehr freundlich und auch aus unserer Sicht zügig. Die Zimmer waren großzügig und sauber. Die Lage war etwas Besitz vom Zentrum aber nahe genug um zu Fuß alles zu erreichen. Das Abendessen hatten wir einmal genutzt. Es gab ein Angebot für eine Paella. Das Essen war ok. Die Vorspeise sehr gut und die Nachspeise ebenfalls. Daher auch keine schlechte Bewertung.

- Tanja (8/5): Schönes Hotel mit Abstrichen - Das Hotel ist ideal gelegen, die Anlage an sich mit sehr viel Liebe zum Detail und schöne, große Zimmer. Sowohl die Gartenanlage, als auch die Zimmer sind sehr schön gepflegt und einladend. Man ist zu Fuß sofort im Ort zum Essen oder auch am Strand und gibt es auch Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Das Personal beim Frühstück war nicht besonderes freundlich, man hatte nicht das Gefühl, dass sie Freude daran haben was sie tun. Generell hat man auch hier wieder eine Frühstückskarte mit ein paar Gerichten, wovon man sich eines pro Tag aussuchen darf (wie offenbar üblich in Costa Rica). Leider war bei 4 Nächten die Auswahl wirklich sehr beschränkt. Die Liegen am Pool waren so ziemlich die unbequemsten die ich je in einem Hotel hatte. Es gibt 2 "Betten" die wirklich bequem und mit Schattenmöglichkeit sind, diese sind aber natürlich auch sofort belegt. Ansonsten gibt es fixe Liegen am Pool, die man nicht verstellen kann und die absolut unbequem sind.
