The best part was how thoughtful and attentive the host, Rahul, was—he truly goes above and beyond to ensure guests have a comfortable and enjoyable experience. He greeted us personally and made us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for from the start. He was also incredibly responsive to WhatsApp messages, which made communication easy and stress-free. I especially appreciated the small touches that made a big difference, like the umbrellas, extra linens, and—most importantly—access to a washer and dryer. We visited during the rainy season and didn’t realize how muddy things would get, or how difficult it would be to dry clothes in such humid weather. Having laundry facilities on-site made a huge difference in keeping us comfortable throughout the trip. The open-air community kitchen was also a great bonus. While we ate out every evening, it was so convenient to store and reheat leftovers for breakfast the next day—much better than wasting food. Both the kitchen and laundry room were thoughtfully stocked with all the essentials. We would definitely come back again. Be sure to check out the excursions listed in the binder—their pricing is very reasonable!

The space is impeccably clean, and the attention to detail is remarkable. We were warmly greeted with refreshing little coconuts filled with water, which was such a thoughtful and unique touch. The garden is beautiful and earthy, creating a peaceful oasis that adds to the overall serenity of the place. Plus, with great restaurants just a short walk away, everything you need is within easy reach. Honestly, it felt like a little piece of heaven. Highly recommend!

- Jessica (10/5): - Suwa Villa Arenal was an absolute gem—beautiful, cozy, and just the right mix of luxurious and down-to-earth. We were greeted with fresh coconut water (loved that touch!), and the whole vibe felt super thoughtful and well put together. The villa had everything we needed: a full shared kitchen, on-site laundry with Tide Pods, even little things like disposable razors. The only thing missing was lotion, but honestly, everything else was so complete it didn’t matter. The property only has six villas, so it feels intimate and peaceful. There's a jacuzzi and fire pit for guests, plus each room has its own little patio with chairs. I appreciated the organic and natural products used throughout ♥ Netflix was already logged in on the TV, and water in the minibar was free and restocked daily. It’s just a short walk (200 meters!) from the town with food, shops, and excursions—though Uber is insanely cheap if you're not feeling the walk. And I can’t forget the hosts—they were incredibly kind and welcoming. Suwa was perfect. Would absolutely stay again. ALSO I stayed at Baldi Hot Springs Resort, and honestly? Suwa Villa is 10x better. Baldi is great for a day pass to enjoy the springs, but the rooms there are pricey and not worth it.

Beautiful rooms with an outdoor patio and chairs, and A/C. Very clean and fully stocked communal kitchen, with a super cute and lush lounge area on the side. There are laundry machines available to use, with 2 free detergent pods provided. There was also a mini jacuzzi (temporarily cold water when we visited), and a fireplace for hanging out outside at night. Parking is easy and reserved for guests right in front of the entrance. The property was small in a nice, intimate way, and extremely private, safe, and quiet. The staff live on site, and are very friendly and easy to communicate with quickly. They provided us with delicious fresh coconut water upon arrival, and complimentary gourmet coffee each day. The hotel was also located in a convenient location in La Fortuna. Walking distance to the central park, (I recommend going there to watch the sun set behind the volcano!), and many, many restaurants & souvenir shops. There are a few grocery stores nearby, and we were able to use this place as a relaxing home base for all of our adventures around the volcano & hot springs. I almost thought this place was too good to be true when looking at the pictures, reviews, and price (we got it at a major discount), but I'm so glad we booked. It was a highlight of our trip. Overall, this hotel exceeded expectations, and we would love to stay here again!

- Ben (10/5): - Most nicest and luxurious hotel in La Fortuna. The best location. Nice view of the Volcano.Staff was great, attentive and friendly. Hotel common areas and rooms were very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was nicely equipped to make your stay comfortable. Will definitely stay again when coming back to visit. Highly recommend.

Laundry facilities are also top quality and the staff is friendly and readily available on Whatsapp. Walking distance to good restaurants and a very enjoyable sloth tour.

The place was modern, super clean, beautiful and had everything we needed including an awesome kitchen to make meals and save some money on eating out all the time. But even more amazing were the staff. So lovely and helpful and they went above and beyond to make sure out stay was the best. We highly recommended staying at Susa Villas!!! Thanks for everything!!

The owners are so welcoming and helpful and will help you plan and even book tours and transport for you. Its really good value, top accommodation at middle range prices...definitely recommend
