• Steve Schaller (8/5): Nostalgic Stay - This was our last night in Costa Rica, flying out of the Liberia airport early in the morning. So staying at the Hotel Del Aserradero was due to the location. We stayed at this same hotel 20 years ago, so it was also nostalgic. There are beautiful slabs of guanacaste wood used for tables and I do like walking around the property looking for native birds that visit.

Los jardines del hotel hermosos mucha vegetacion. A los niños les encanto Lucy la perrita muy jugetona. En mi experiencia todo estuvo bien. El servicio ofrecido esta muy bien con respecto al precio. Mucho espacio en los pasillos y al aire libre para disfrutar.

Grounds were beautiful, good parking area, nice vibe, good price. rooms only have window to the hallway not to outside, not my favorite configuration, so you can hear other guests. But the beds were comfortable and the bathroom clean.

• Katie (5/5): No facilities here! - Not much! The staff tried to be helpful advising on getting a pizza delivered. Dodgy part of town, staff advised we shouldn’t be out after 9pm. Absolutely no facilities there, no water in the room, tea or coffee, shower gel, no bar or restaurant. Just a means to an end and wouldn’t recommend.

• Kevin (8/5): - The location was perfect for me. I had an early flight the next day. And it was within walking distance to a few restaurants and a grocery store. I thought the neighbourhood was nice. The large window facing the hallway allowed noise to come in very easily.

• Dominique (10/5): Sauber, professionell, top Lage, guter Preis - Erstmal habe ich mich über die äußerst schnelle, freundliche und professionelle Rezeption gefreut. So geht Hotellerie! Außerdem wurde ich von einem frisch sanierten Gebäude überrascht und war froh über warmes Wasser in der Dusche. Das Hotel wurde mit einem dezenten, aber selbstbewussten Stil eingerichtet. Die Anlage liegt sehr gut direkt am Interamerican Highway und verfügt über ein großes Gelände und viele Parkplätze. Dadurch dass das Hotel nicht direkt an der Straße liegt, sind die Zimmer sehr leise. Das Zentrum befindet sich fußläufig auf der anderen Seite der Panamericana. In der Umgebung gibt es jede Menge Restaurants und Burgerketten. Zwar bietet das Hotel kein Frühstück an, dennoch wird kostenlos Kaffee und Wasser zur Verfügung gestellt. Es können auch Kaltgetränke erworben werden. Außerdem sind Haustiere willkommen und es gibt (ungewöhnlicherweise) einen Raucherbereich. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist für diese Lage mehr als gut. Alles in allem habe ich mich dort sehr wohl gefühlt und meinen Aufenthalt auch verlängert. Leider habe ich keine Fotos.

• Deborah (8/5): We have stayed in many hotels in Liberia, and this is the best! - The grounds were lush and beautiful. The location was quiet and serene. The staff were friendly and the hotel was spotlessly clean. I wish they would have had a restaurant, but it was a short walk to get breakfast and they had a coffee maker and a microwave.

We dropped a hire car at airport and Ubered back to town (3000colones) and then walked to Ticabus stop (20mins easy walk) the following morning. Nice bars and cafes near the servo on the corner nearby…

There was some man whistle so we can’t fall asleep without him gone. There was a man making noise & chatting. Walls must not be very thick or some Clean & friendly enough

This is not your hotel if you’re looking for clean comfortable rooms with excellent service excellent staff excellent price., This is where you want to stay. The front desk staff are absolutely marvelous., especially the evening shift. Don’t let the curb appeal dissuade you when you drive up as it did me. This is a very nice place. Very comfortable very secure. If ever we’re back in the area this is where we were staying.

Close to good local sodas for supper before an early AM flight. The bed was quite firm and the pillows were paper thin. The noise carryover from the lobby and front door was due to our proximity.
• Verified traveler (6/5): not the best night of sleep - The receptionist was kind and let me check in early, which was really helpful for me. Unfortunately, I was unable to close the window slats, so I felt badly for air conditioning the outdoors. Lots of noise came in from the hallway and kept me from sleeping. Also the bed was very hard and uncomfortable. Everything did look clean though and the AC did work well.

My friend and I felt safe and the whole place was very quiet — the other reviews said it was loud but I couldn’t hear anything from my room. Our room was in the center of the building, so that probably helped. This is a great location if you just need an airport stay. Otherwise, there’s not much to do in the city and you should go to a more touristy place for excursions.
