- LUSAJO LAZARO (2/5): Poor Service at Grand Bayan Hotel - I had booked for five nights and informed them that my plane would land at midnight and that I would be at the hotel by 2 am. I took an Uber to the hotel, upon arriving there, it was one dark building with many stray dogs outside and no sign indicating it was the hotel. I called the number of the hotel on the confirmation email, they told me that it was the same building and they were sending someone down to pick me.
Long story short, the building happens to be a residential/commercial complex with the hotel occupying the 6th floor, the only part of the building that is somewhat tidy. Upon getting to the reception I was told that my room was not ready that they would take me to another hotel and that my room would be ready the next morning at 8 am, and I had my first meeting at 8:30 am. I agreed as I was exhausted, they took me to a lodge which was not up to my standard. I got in the room at almost 4 in the morning, charged my devices, showered, and was ready to check out by 7 am.
Upon telling them I was canceling my booking, they charged me about $85 for the night, above what was the normal rate had I stay there; which I paid and left.
- Imad (8/5): The new room was with a Nile view. - The first one and half day was not good as I did not offer the correct room you show in you site, I request to change the room on the first day they said my booking through Expedia is showing the room, I said I did not book through Expedia my booking through Hotels.com the next day in the afternoon, still no change to the room I was booked for, then I shouted on them and requested the tourist police and refused to stay where they want me to be, although I came by myself not with the other gest I booked the room with. Then they decided to change, and the breakfast was not a buffet as you mentioned, you have to advise what you want, still not getting what you order, breakfast was poor and not enough, full of bread, it was poor, no variety or enough for average person.
