- mstuempflen (10/5): Wonderful hotel in the heart of Cairo - Eileen Hotel is located in the heart of Cairo. While it is in a busy downtown area, the hotel rooms are relatively quiet compared to other hotels - the hotel is located on the sixth and seven floor (elevator available) and the rooms face a small side street with little traffic. The common area is nice and the breakfast provides plenty of options (both hot and cold including vegetarian dishes). The rooms are compact, the beds are comfortable, powerful AC-unit and fridge in every room. Windows are equipped with mosquito nets. The staff is exceptionally nice: They are very attentive and provide great support in organising anything you could need - airport transfer/taxi, tours etc. They collaborate with Magic Carpet Tours, whom we booked multiple private tours with (reasonable price and GREAT service/value). Overall, absolute recommendation for this hotel if you want to truly explore the bustling city of Cairo! We would definitely come again!

Mustafa & team were great. In city centre on relatively quiet street (for downtown Cairo) with trees . 10 min walk from Egyptian Museum. Top floors 6&7 of historic building (with lift) Breakfast area has a small but lovely balcony overlooking city. Would definitely stay here again. Hot shower & clean basic rooms. Excellent.

On top, the hotel is located in a central area, close to many attractions, shopping areas and the Nile. It is safe to walk around.

It's on the 6th/7th floor, but there's a lift so you don't have to drag your suitcases up all those stairs Our room was clean, and simply but cutely decorated. Lots of drawers for your things. The staff were all so friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was great! We could walk to the Egyptian museum, as well as to a lot of cafes and restaurants. There is a small kiosk/store with drinks and snacks right next to the hotel. Highly recommend!

I was really surprised about the rooms, walking into the building which looks dated on the outside, the rooms itself is more modern and really clean and the beds are very comfortable. We stayed at this boutique hotel twice, at the beginning of our trip and then came back again towards the middle of our trip. The breakfast is a buffet style spread, and the omelettes they cooked for us were delicious. The showers and toilets worked perfectly, and we were able to take hot showers consecutively, which i can't say was the case for other hotels in Egypt. After a long day of exploration, we were really glad to be able to relax in our comfy room.

These guys have created a two floor set of rooms on top of a building in down town awful area of Cairo. My wife and I stayed 11/12/24, we arrived late, we were in total shock, we never slept until 4am as men down in the street were arguing, possibly fighting, motorbikes loudly razzing around, wild dogs barking, this may be taken down, but we checked out next day, we went to Movenpick Media City, paid a little more for 2 nights stay, like going from a slum to a palace. This place will close soon I'm sure.

- Mohammed (10/5): - Alhumdolliah i stayed 6 nights,room was a bit small but clean,staff were very friendly and always there to help. The only complain i would have is there was hardly any hot water for a shower in the morning,i assume all the other guests used the hot water and the fact that they are using Solar to heat the water,they should have a back up system.My only advice would be to get up early in the morning to get a nice hot shower. Apart from that the hotel and staff were helpful and very accommodating

- Curiosity31172324172 (10/5): Great staff, heart of the city, Value for money! - Modern hotel, ideally located near the tahrir square. I took a family room and it very clean with a genrours welcoming staff which is willing to help you for anything, to make your stay is more comfortable and your experience is not hampered. All the staff spoke good English, the open buffet breakfast was delicious and had plenty of choice. The rooms were cleaned daily and the beds were comfortable. It has a blend of modern design and French feel to it. I would highly recommend if you are looking for a great value for money hotel at the heart of the city.
- SamQuant7 (10/5): Great Hidden Gem in Downtown Cairo - This hotel was perfect in every sense. It's located in the middle of downtown Cairo a five minute walk from Tahrir Square. Our room had 4 beds, a refrigerator, free bottled water, a tea kettle with free tea bags and nescafe. There was also a safe. The bathroom had a rain shower and free toiletries. The staff were superb and extremely helpful. An excellent value for money.

- drnorth (8/5): Excellent Value, Location, Staff - I only spent one night here as I was passing through Cairo, and I wanted to stay in a place that was central and good for walking - As well as being a good value. The Eileen Hotel was perfect. It was easy to find, and I was able to walk to so many things that I wanted to see. The neighborhood around it was great restaurants and cafes and places to smoke shisha and but not all around within very close distance. The hotel and the rooms are kind of basic, but they don't lack for any of the amenities. My room was comfortable, the Wi-Fi was good, the air conditioning worked, and i had a nice little balcony with a view of the street. The staff of the hotel were excellent. They really went above and beyond. The help me when I had trouble with my ATM card getting swallowed by the machine assisted me in finding bags. They helped arrange transportation and were just generally very friendly and helpful. An excellent free breakfast was included. I would definitely stay there again. I just don't think you can beat the combination of location, price and service.

The dining area is very nice, plus there's seating on the balcony overlooking the beautiful city buildings. Rooms are very nice and clean and definitely a bit of luxury especially when compared to other hotels in the region at this price point. The location was perfect to enjoy the downtown Cairo sites and nearby museums. The hotel was on a quieter street so the traffic noise was minimal, there was only noise from distant streets, but minimal. This is a huge perk when staying in.the busy downtown district!! All of the staff members were professional and very polite. We would definitely return to this hotel. Thanks goes out to the wonderful people working at the hotel who maintained a nice atmosphere and top notch service!! We had a wonderful stay.
- 300munirk (8/5): Eileen Hotel - Cairo Experience - Eileen Hotel, located in the heart of Cairo on the 6th and 7th floors of a classic building on Youssef El Gindi Street, not far away from the Egyptian Museum . This hotel offers great value for money with its central location and comfortable accommodations, we stayed at this hotel from 9 to 13 July and from 19 to 22 July . The room was clean in a quiet spot ,and serviced daily, although some rooms are smaller than expected, we stayed in a larger room . The rooms feature amenities such TV, split-unit air conditioning and free Wi-Fi, beds are clean and comfortable, ensuring a restful night after exploring Cairo. The staff at Eileen Hotel are exceptionally friendly and attentive, (Mr.Abdrahman was really helpful and provided recommendations for dining and sightseeing). Additionally, guests can find the Magic Carpet Tours representatives at the hotel reception, offering reasonably priced tours with excellent guides ( I recommend : Mr. Osama Younies he was our tour guide during our stay in Cairo and our tours were excellent). The hotel offers a decent breakfast buffet with a variety of options, including local Egyptian dishes and continental choices. For lunch and dinner, guests can order via TALABAT or visit nearby restaurants, which are generally affordable across Egypt. The restaurant staff are accommodating and ensure guests are well-cared for during the meal, laundry services are available @ very reasonable costs. Eileen Hotel provides good value for money with its central location, comfortable rooms, and hospitable service. While it may not offer luxury amenities, it is ideal for budget-conscious travelers seeking a convenient base to explore Cairo's bustling city center. Overall, our stay at Eileen Hotel was enjoyable, and we would recommend it to fellow travelers seeking a comfortable and affordable option in Cairo.
- lindsay (10/5): - Eileen Hotel is a lovely styled hotel that is well decorated with very nice Air Conditioning. The area was safe and the front entrance staff was very helpful and nice. If you require transport to and from the hotel, it's quick and easy, but if you're alone, be aware that the drivers seem to be third party contractors.

- Kristin (10/5): - The Eileen Hotel is truly a gem in the middle of Cairo. It's in a historic building and the owners are taking care to restore in accordance with its history. But what makes the Eileen so very special are the people who work there. They are so warm, welcoming, and helpful. You feel like a family friend. The breakfast is included and offers a nice variety of options, including fresh fruit, which was important to me! The hotel is on the 6th floor of the building, which has an elevator. One thing to be aware of is there are some steps up to the building itself.

- lucas-280392 (8/5): Great stay, 3 nights! - Stayed for 3 nights. Hotel is located on the 6th floor of a building, with elevator. Great location, central downtown Cairo. The room was clean and quiet. My room had a nice balcony which over looked the Main Street. Glad I stayed in Cairo rather than Giza, as I very close to all of the things to do. The area was busy, but I felt safe as a lone traveller. All of the staff on reception were very friendly and helpful. The young man on reception helped to organise a taxi for me on my last day. Shop just downstairs for water, tobacco etc. 40 minutes drive to Sphinx Airport 30/40 minutes drive to Cairo International 10 minute walk to The Egyptian Museum 15 minute drive to Kahn El Kalili Bazar 20 minute walk to River Nile. 25 minutes drive to Giza Pyramids. My only feedback was the breakfast could have been better. Invest in a proper coffee machine. Other than that. I had a great stay. Thank you!

- udayashankerb (8/5): An Oasis of comfort and tranquility in the heart of Cairo , close to Tahrir square and few mazing food options. - Located on the sixth floor, with a cafe and very good rooms, Hotel Eileen is the right place for short stays in the heart of Cairo. It is close to the Museum too.Highly rated food places like Al Hamra and Kazaz and others are just few minutes walk away. Tahrir square is just 10 minutes walk from Eileen and I strongly suggest a early morning walk to this place. Eileen offers a decent breakfast included in the room tariff. Neatly appointed rooms with quality amenities and best of all, a very good sleep quality. Very helpful and friendly staff and courteous service are the highlights of the stay. Would definitely recommend to others.

As we approached the arrival date, I emailed the hotel to let them know that we had a late flight coming in at around midnight. I wanted to make sure there were no issues. They replied back that it wasn't going to be a problem. The day before we arrived the hotel emailed me asking about our arrival time. Once again I told them that it was going to be a late arrival and the assured us it was not going to be a problem. We arrived at the hotel only to be told that they sold our room to someone else. I inquired as to how this could happen considering I communicated with them twice, the most recent being less than 24 hours. They didn't really have an answer, but told us that they we're going to take us to a sister hotel that was just as nice. We sat around waiting for them to get a driver to take us to this other hotel. While I was waiting I decided to look up this hotel which they told us was nicer than theirs. That was an outright lie, and this 'better hotel' was about $20 a night and had mediocre, at best, reviews. After waiting about 45 minutes to be taken to this other hotel, I learned it was about a 5-minute walk. Extremely frustrated, and it now being after 1:00 a.m. in the morning after 15 hours of flying, I decided to just walk to this other hotel. Keep in mind I've got my wife and son with me and I've never been to Cairo before. This was a very uncomfortable, highly concerning, and alarming experience. The next morning, we had planned to get up and begin our visit of Cairo, but we couldn't do that because we had to check out of this hotel, and walk to our original hotel. Once we got there, we had to sit and wait for the room we paid for to be ready. You would think the manager or owner would come over and at the very least apologize. This never happened, and as it stands I'm questioning whether or not I should dispute the charge that I paid on my credit card for a room we never received. What's most concerning, is that this hotel has a pattern for doing this. If you search other reviews online, you will find that this is happening to other customers. It would seem that they like to pull you in with the allure of their own nice hotel, only to shove you off to a lesser hotel and keep the money. My warning to anyone reading this, if you're planning on booking at this hotel, have a backup plan. You don't want to be like me where I have my wife and son at 1:00 in the morning coming into a foreign country only to find out they gave your room to someone else after you verified it twice. I would not stay at this hotel again if it was free. It is 100% not worth the risk
- Verified traveler (6/5): Very Basic - The hotel is very basic. It’s in the city centre but the area isn’t very nice. The room conditions are clean but a bit run down and the Breakfast was quite basic. Overall more like a 2* Hostal - not sure it merits the high rating from Hotels.com Service was excellent and very friendly.

- REHAN (10/5): - We checked in late night, hotel arranged for airport pickup at a decent price. Its entrance is not very appealing when we asked about it we were told it is a heritage building and they cannot change much. Room we picked was a big one, clean and bathroom was modern and clean. Breakfast is pretty good, staff is welcoming and polite. Overall good experience and happy for the services we got what we paid for.
- Finn (10/5): - The staff were always very helpful. The breakfast was very good and a lot to choose from. Large bathroom, lots of toiletries. Located very centrally, 8 minutes walk to the Egyptian Museum and 10 minutes to the Nile.
- Karina (6/5): - The hotel staff was great, the hotel was in downtown. A lot of the travel tours would pick me up from there. The hotel had a free breakfast, and was next to a small convenience store where snacks and beverages could be bought at a reasonable price. The condition of the hotel itself was good. I had an issue with the shower as the drain was clogged and had water would drain at a very slow pace and water would get out of the small shower. The staff tried to assist but it was annoying to call them every time I showered. They did provide lots of towels to help with the excess water.

- Nas (10/5): - Eileen Hotel is located smack bang in downtown Cairo within walking distance to everything. The staff are nice and courteous. And our room was clean, nice and tidy. Breakfast was good at the hotel too.
- Eugenia (10/5): - I booked a single room for a week. It was really nice and kept very clean. Pictures of the rooms online set a VERY HIGH standard, so even if they're clearly made digitally, it's impossible not to feel slightly disappointed when seeing it in reality. As I said the room was very nice, no need of using those edited image to sell it. Location is very convenient, close to tahrir square, plenty of historical landmarks at a walkable distance, cultural activities, nice restaurants and handcraft stores. Staff is super kind and help you deal with anything you need. They offered me some karkadè on arrival, helped me with the luggages and booked the restaurant for me. Through them I also booked the shuttle from the airport. They also exchange cash for you in EGP at Reception, if you need. The hotel is on the 6th floor of what it looks like an historical building. Thankfully they have a lift, I mainly used it for the luggages cause I’m chicken, but it’s there and it works well! Back to the room: it has a wardrobe, a cabinet for extra storage, a fridge, table with mirror, bedside table, airconditioning. Highlights of the bathroom are: bidet shower (GOD BLESS YOU EGYPTIANS for having this, as an Italian living in UK, this is the best gift!), 2 shower heads (one mobile and one fixed) and hair dryer. Only flaw: the shower leaks A LOT, it has nothing to do with the curtain, it comes from below the base. For safety, I would bring my own hair dryer, so that you can plug it in the bedroom.

- Aisha (8/5): - We enjoy our stay at Eileen Hotel! It's super close to Tahrir Square, making it crazy convenient. The staff? Awesome – so friendly and helpful. Plus, the price was fair, especially with breakfast thrown in. Only thing, the rooms look a bit roomier/ bigger in pictures than they actually are and the double bed is more of a large single. But overall, loved our stay!

- Jessica Michelle (4/5): - The building is dirty and so it’s the area. The staff wasn’t great. We had to wait a while to be checked in because the person was cleaning a room. The room is average but the bath was terrible because every time you took a shower the water leaked and the bathroom got all flooded. Our room wasn’t cleaned one of the days we were there for no reason and then for the airport transportation they were an hour late. The only good thing is that it’s close to some of the city tourist attractions but I think it’s better to find something else.

- Sharon (8/5): - This is a new boutique hotel, in a heritage building in Downtown. Two floors 6th & 7th. Loved the central location. Walkable to shops, banks, cash exchanges, metro, museum, Nile. Many cafes, restaurants, shops in the area. The hotel is clean & the staff are very friendly, they are not intrusive. I had no problem getting uber to pick up here. Sometimes an issue in Cairo due to traffic congestion and street access. From other hotels, I had a few cancel last minute as they couldn't get access to the street. The free wifi worked well. The TV, fridge, air-con are all good. The breakfast is simple but fresh and adequate. There are a few things that need attention. Given the friendly and helpful staff, I am sure this will happen with time and experience. I booked a Royal room, with a king bed and a bath. The photo on Expedia of a Royal room was nothing like the room I got. I think it is was an artist's impression. I was a solo but got a family room. A double and 2 single beds, no bath. There was no towel rail/hook in the bathroom. The shower is new but the shower bed is not against the wall. There is a 6 inch gap between the wall and the shower bed. Water pools there, it is difficult to get it out of the gap with the squeegee. I had to keep my showers short. There was no rail in the wardrobe to hang clothes and no hangers. I asked a few times but they didn't fix it. The lift didn't go to the 7th floor, you need to use stairs from 6th - 7th floor.
