Guest Reviews
- Juan (2/5): - Not the hotel on the picture very disappointed
- Hwangji (10/5): - The hotel is located in city center. Staff are very friendly and helpful. I had a wonderful time staying at the Square View Hotel.
- rambatla (2/5): - This is the most unprofessional hotel I have come across: they claimed a 'maintenance issue' with our two rooms, and told us that they had to move us to a hotel next door (Cairo Capital). But then, after a long wait, even that was not available, and we were escorted to another hotel that is 20 minutes of walk away - and we had to drag our luggage across Cairo streets in the thick of mid-day traffic, to a hotel that I would not have booked if given a choice. Nothing particularly wrong with it, if you are looking for a bargain room, but not after I had paid $108 per night for my rooms. And I believe this is a business tactic, seeing that another reviewer has reported the situation before.
And yes, this hotel is not easily located, nor easily accessed. The location is convenient, if only the hotel was too, and was better serviced by management. The staff on location are very nice, but that can only carry you so far.
- kalyan (2/5): - Pros-
- This property is in great location
- Staff is welcoming
- Our room had a great balcony View of the square.
Cons
- Address is confusing and is on 4th floor.
- There is no visible hotel name tag from outside.you really have to ask people around.
- We got the most expensive room with a view.Inside the room , the walls and the ceiling is in a very bad shape with paintings coming off and very unpleasant.
- You need to go on a lift to 4th floor and everything around that looks pretty old.
- offers nothing except for that balcony view.
- I wouldn’t go again.
- rambatla (2/5): - We paid $108 a night to reserve two rooms here. On the day of, we were told there was a "maintenance" issue with our rooms and we were to be given rooms in another hotel nearby. That happened to be streets away and we had to walk in thick of traffic dragging our luggage with us to reach Paradise Boutique, a much lesser hotel that would have cost me $25 a night if I had wanted to reserve.
Our entire experience of Egypt was marred by this. I warn you to not book here at all because I had read another reviewer had a similar experience but had discounted it, believing it must be a one-off issue. Looks like they regularly overbook and scam customers.
- Tatjana (4/5): - First of all I want to make special mention of Ahmed at the front desk who was so lovely and helpful - he really tried to make it a positive experience. But the issues I faced weren’t his fault and his superiors need to sort it out so he isn’t made to feel responsible for unhappy guests. The building itself has a very unwelcoming entrance as many other reviewers have said. It needs some maintenance and basic cleaning - at the very least some signage. It’s located on level four but there’s no visible sign that we could see (there was one for Tulip Hotels in the same building). I was given a room located directly opposite the noisy lift and it’s away from the rest of the hotel. It’s basically like sleeping at a train station. There were people coming and going all night and it was so hard to sleep. The noise from the window of traffic and horn beeping you have to accept at a place like this but having noise from both sides of the room was too much. Again other reviewers have fed this back. There’s also a problem with the water which was scalding hot and then cold, and the shower is tiny so to avoid getting burned you have to stand outside the shower during the hot phase then go in when it’s an appropriate temperature (which only lasts a few seconds!). As a result the bathroom would flood each time. We didn’t have the room cleaned or towels replaced at all during our three night stay. There was no sign to hang on the door. I was very unhappy with my stay.
- Thinh (8/5): - Convenient location with excellent staff. Ahmed and Esraa went out of their ways to make us happy. They are the best of the best.
- Ellis (10/5): - Staff and service at the square view were great, was also in a very central location. Would stay again if I was in Cairo
- Dhanesh (8/5): - Short stay in oct 2023. Great location and nice staff. The rooms were near and clean.
- Danielle (8/5): Great hotel - The people were amazing! Very kind, helpful, and accommodating. The only issue was the hotel was difficult to find.
- Fahad (4/5): - The location of the hotel is very poor
The building is very old and not appropriate for a hotel.
No sign boards to show an available hotel
Only has 5rooms and same building as residence units
- Robert (10/5): - The service was fantastic and extremely helpful. It’s a small hotel so one should not expect all of the amenities that are common at the large hotels. However, the personalized service is exceptional and has value unto itself. If one is open minded be prepared for a unique and rewarding experience.
- Lethola (10/5): - The Staff was absolutely fabulous. Nouri was great. Esraa was especially excellent and took care of all the small details.
I enjoyed Esraa's calming qualities and Her ability to help in a friendly and pleasant manner.
I shall be coming back thanks to the Staff and service.
- justin (2/5): - At the last minute they bumped my reservation to “another property” The super small room was in a very old building with no view of anything. No balcony, the tv did not work. While the staff at the place were pleasant, this is totally not what I paid for. I could of gotten the same dusty hostel room for less than half the price I paid for this bed and breakfast. Buyer beware. I had just come off a 20 hour flight and didn’t have the energy to argue with them, as I just wanted to sleep. Don’t fall for the same trick I did.
- Uht (10/5): - Good job!
- Ahmed (4/5): Avoid , they downgrade you - I booked deluxe room but they gave me standard room although I paid more for deluxe and they wouldn’t refund me
- Xiyue (10/5): - Clean room and comfy bed and staff are very friendly
- Basma (10/5): - The hotel was superb, a lovely boutique hotel in the centre of town within walking distance of the key Places (Tahrir Square and the Egyptian museum).
Also is near by many Egyptian restaurants where you can find good food till the late night.
The room was clean with a super comfortable bed
We loved the friendly staff they were so nice
Of course we will stay again …
- Peter (10/5): - Was Ok
- Alexandaros (10/5): - Very nice location
