• Pimo74 (8/5): Au centre de tout. - - Petite guest house idéalement située en plein cœur du Caire et en retrait des artères très bruyantes. - Accueil très cordial - Literie confortable - Des travaux sont en cours pour créer une vraie maison d'hôtes avec des salles communes qui manquent jusque-là. Nous reviendrons. - Nuits parfois troublées par les cris de jeunes dans la rue (simple vitrage). - Salle de bain un peu vieillotte.

Yasmin, Hala, Ahmed , Amgad are very polite and they did their best to make our stay comfortable. I think it’s the best quality I was looking for , they speak English , French and Arabic while they use WeChat as well for Chinese guests . Well-recommended Nothing

There were no air conditioning which made it very very hard to stay in the room. The mattress wasn't comfortable at all. The bathroom door was kind of transparent which made it very inconvenient to use.

• Takao (1/5): I was not refunded even though I did not stay at this hotel - Children under the age of 14 were refused accommodation at this hotel. I'm a 29 year old man and I'm his guardian. For other hotels, having a 14 year old staying there was no problem. And the biggest problem is they didn't refund us.

Dirty kitchen and sheets are yellow and dirty bathroom also old furniture , nothing like the pictures and dirty building entrance

• Rozalba (1/5): Bad - Location. The establishment was dirty. Rats in the corridors and certainly in the rooms. The receptionist was creepy, he made me very uncomfortable. In the room there were 3 beds, the box spring of two beds fell when I barely sat on them. In the bathroom the water didn't stop flowing by itself. Even though it's €6, I left the room because I wasn't feeling well. I honestly don't recommend this place, there are plenty of youth hostels at this price and very clean with friendly workers.

• Mariam (9/5): Superb - The staff were very friendly, cheerful, and helpful, I felt safe at the place, and privacy is appreciated there. There were a towel, toiletries, and clean bed sheets and covers. Strong wifi. The room was very clean. Perfect location and easy to find.
• Mohanad (4/5): Fair stay, but personally will try my luck with another place. - Location The staff looked very weird in attitude, at some point they were also rude. I really wonder how this one got 9.1 rating in booking !! Also my friends were going to stay and one room was not available for them due to whatever reason (despite they booked it earlier), they were treated in a very bad manner. When the staff knew that they hold another citizenship other than the Egyptian one they became nicer and tried to solve the problem !!!! At the moment, I am coordinating an Erasmus exchange to Egypt and this was a preparatory visit, and of course would never choose such a place to host the exchange!!

• Fatima (9/5): Lovely stay and Amjad (Glory) was wonderful. - Amjad was extremely lovely and helpful. My sister and I had a great time at the hotel. The location is amazing, 30 seconds from the main busy road which is opened till late. Opera square is walking distance, if you are interested in Souq Market shopping. The shower head wasn't working efficiently. Also, they have no AC in the rooms. However, they do have fans but in the month of August. It is extremely hot and AC is needed. Other than that it was a great stay.

The room was spacious and the bathroom was clean. I met some of the other guests the first night and we got to know each other! No AC at least in the room I was in

The staff is very polite, friendly and always ready to help. The room is very big, quiet and comfortable. Thanks a lot for unforgettable memories during our first trip in Cairo. We really felt like at home among our family. Ashufak sana gaya insha'Allah!!! Nothing. Everything was perfect!

• Erika (6/5): Great host and location, hot & noisy room. - The owner, Mr. Ahmed, truly makes this place. He is very kind, made sure I arrived safely, and prepared tea for myself and another guest when I got there late in the evening. He is truly a gem, and I can see why many would want to leave him a great review! Also, you can tell that back in its heyday, this apartment used to be absolutely regal. It is historic and gorgeous, just a bit run down. The location is also great, but just note that the side streets to get to the place are blocked off so taxis/Ubers can’t get there. Cairo is hot, but this room was unbearable. A fan would have also helped with this and the mosquitos, as I was eaten throughout the night, but there wasn’t one. The bedding was white with multiple brown stains. I’m sure it was probably washed, but the stains are not very pleasant. The bathroom had wet toilet paper on the floor when I arrived, and the shower head was broken so it sprayed everywhere except you. I ended up just using the tap. Lastly, as much as I appreciate getting to know new people, socialising in the common areas after 12pm was very loud. People were singing, clapping, yelling and smoking cigarettes which carried into the room until 2am. I barely slept, but maybe if you are a heavy sleeper this won’t bother you. Also to note: when you enter the building, on the wall it says “Royal Hotel” which confused me and I walked past at first. this one wasn’t a big deal but just for future guests. I am sorry to Mr. Ahmed for leaving a review like this.

The house is located slightly in a recess from the main streets, due to which the room is always quiet. convenient location near the central bank makes it impossible to get lost. the room has everything you need for life (I lived there for just over a week), and the hospitable and friendly host is always ready to help and provide everything you need. thanks for a wonderful stay and a warm welcome
