Guest Reviews
- Yeliz (7/5): Fiyat performans oteli! - Odada kahve ve bolca havlu vardı. Temizdi.
- Sara (10/5): Exceptional -
- Grzegorz (10/5): - Quite quiet (hotel just near the street).
Big room, air-condition, big bath tube.
12 minutes walk from main railway station.20 minutes to Old Town
Poor wifi.
- E. (8/5): Very good -
- Emily (10/5): - Self check in was broken so just went across the street to the Hotel Ariston “sister hotel” to the patio and it was easy! Building is secure and decently quiet. Clean. Room was great. Luggage storage is available if you’re early, but no early check in was possible.
- Banerjee (10/5): Exceptional -
- Aleksandra (8/5): Very good - Brak ludzi na recepcji!! No people at reception! Terrible - i understand u saved money but it felt credit
- Jenna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Naonao (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sarah (8/5): Good but self check in is a bind - Over the road from the 4 star Ariston is the patio. No facilities here or breakfast but so can be enjoyed over the road.
Sheets and towels changed every 3 days unless you pay extra.
Tea and coffee making and a fridge. Comfy bed but the standard flat pillows.
Door into outside motel type corridor which makes it dusty. Floor could have done with a good mop.
- Mira (2/5): - First massive red flag was when checking in details came late. After discovering the self checking online link didn't work, I realised that NOTHING worked, including phone numbers and customer support, who would respond to me within 48 hours!! I was getting on a plane at 8pm wondering where I am going to sleep that night. On arrival, after hours and hours of ringing around and walking the streets at night, as the photo or the map didn't match the hotel or location, I found the hotel, but guess what, no code was given to get in to the self-checking reception. It was only a coincidence that I walked across the street to another hotel to ask if by any chance then can help, only to find out they are the owners and they had the access code! However this is where their customer service ended! After I finally got inside the self checking reception, the self checking wasn't straight forward or intuitive and it took another 20 minutes or so. Once we checked in, at this point it was almost 11pm, we got a receipt for a check out, but once again, you needed to be a mind-reader to work out your room number and floor as the receipt was not wide enough for the information being printed in a readable format. This has put me off using the hotel and Expedia and will be sure to tell anyone who askes about my last trip.
- Zarko (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gleeson (9/5): Superb - Really cute, more motel/apartment vibe which was nice for solo travel felt more like home.
- Anjali (9/5): Superb -
- Tina (7/5): Good - The location was great, room was clean and we had everything we needed First of all, it was nowhere written that we need to go into a other building to grab a number to enter the building. After that we struggled with self check in computer because, firstly i couldn't put information of my brother and sister in it, but the hotel still needs it🤨🤨. Secondly, when you get receipt there is a room number but in the end we inly got half the paper so we had to go back into another building to check with the reception. At first they were a bit confused but they told us that the self check in is always a bit tricky (then, why are you keeping it???). Finally we did the check in in person. Everything else was fine, but there should be better way to do this.
- Gvantsa (7/5): Good -
(8/5): Very good -
(10/5): Exceptional -
- Rajiv (7/5): Excellent hotel with all the facilities you'd expect at this price. Nice place to stay in Prague. - Excellent spacious double room with high standards all round. Bathroom in particular was one of the best I've ever seen. Nice, clean, tidy room, faultless. The trouble of having to continually to go to the other 'sister' hotel across the road in order to speak to reception. Hotel is a bit far from central Prague and kind of in the middle of nowhere.
No eating facilities or bar whatsoever.
- Živilė (7/5): Good - The location was very convenient, there are trams running from the hotel to the old town every few minutes. A lot of places are within walking distance. There was no comfortable way to take a shower because the shower hose was fixed on the bath tub, was not long enough and didn't have the attachment for placing it on the wall.
Overall the housekeeping was good, but I accidentally left my phone charger plugged into a wall while checking out and when I came back later hoping to get it back, the staff was very gaslighting, telling me that they have not seen such things and that other people were already living in the room. I asked if they could call the room and ask about the charger, but I was greeted with even more rude behavior which is weird, because earlier the same day I had received a phone call to the room, asking if my friend (a male from what I understand) could come up to my room and leave his things there, because as the staff said "he needs to", "he asked to". I remind you I was staying alone and had friends come with me to Prague. This was very uncomfortable for a female travelling alone and I still don't know the reasoning behind it.
- Renata (8/5): okay but shower…. - Close to the center, easy to commute, clean rooms, easy to check in, shampoos and coffee/tea provided in the rooms. Somehow got the room for the handicapped so shower was without curtains and the whole bathroom was drowning in water, water was going from cold to boiling without switching it. In order to get to the building we needed to go to the hotel on the other side and ask for the code
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pero (9/5): Superb - Very big, comfortable bads, big room, coffe and tea maker, cleaning lady evry day, very warm room The towels not changed every day, eaven tough we left it on the floor. There was nobody at the reception, and code for entrance to the hotel, sent to our mail, was wrong, so we needed to go across the road into the other hotel, to get our code.
- Theodora (9/5): Superb - Nice big room
Really comfortable bed
Nice spacious bathroom
Pretty good location, well connected, with a tram stop almost outside
They have a luggage room The door to the room has a really big glass window which is a little weird however there are big curtains so it's fine
The bathroom sliding door couldn't close all the way
- Urska (4/5): Disappointing -
- Yasir (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dircebologna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Violet (10/5): Exceptional -
- Naira (9/5): Good hotel at a reasonable price - the hotel is located near the main train station, bus station, the room is comfortable, cleaning every day. It was warm, comfortable. I had a problem with self-check-in but across the street there is an administrator he helped.
- Süle (9/5): Superb -
- Tinaaa_ (4/5): Disappointing - In general it was nice to stay I didn't like the shower, it wasn't like that in the photos. The water was clogged, not comfortable to take it. Spoiled experience.
- Boris (5/5): Acceptable, but needs better attention from staff. - The hotel is easy accessable by public transport. Room was warm and it had everything necessary, including fridge and tea boiler. 1. There was an extremely noisy ventilation fan in the bathroom and it never switched off. That noise was too loud, definitely some malfunction of and old equipment
2. Cleaning isn't the best, some places are extremely dusty. I've put my small bag on top of a warbrobe and it was literally covered with dust when I took it back.
3. Our room was on the ground floor and we had to keep curtains always closed, as otherwise all other guest can easily look inside your window.
4. Despite our window was facing the inner yard, the noise from nearby street was still really disturbing, as well as noise from yard itself, used as a hotel parking.
5. Last but not least, automatic check-in while being teoretically good idea, doesn't work very well. Needs to be updated to recognize different types of documents better.
- Sukanya (9/5): Superb -
- Laura (8/5): Very good -
- Marnie (8/5): Comfort and convenience - Lovely room, right on tram line, good heating Self check in didn’t work so we wasted time with that and would have thought we could direct check in being 4 star?
- Ardi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Loh (8/5): Very good -
- Fong (10/5): Exceptional -
- Preeti (9/5): Good value for money! -

- Tamar (7/5): Good -
- Barbora (9/5): Superb -
- Selin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Carlos Daniel Bujanda (10/5): - Tranquil
- Anish (8/5): Loves the stay would surely recommend it with the road crossing caveat. - Felt like I was staying in a beautiful old villa. Location and breakfast was fabulous. Had to cross the busy road every morning to go to the other building for breakfast.
- Joao (10/5): Exceptional -
- Matt (7/5): Good - There was no reception, just a note to cross over the road to the 2nd hotel to pick up the key.
- Ghozlan (4/5): Could have made my experience better - 1- Convenient location near Lidl and a tram station and the Hauptbahnhof. 1- I spent 45 minutes to check in. Not good. First, i should have received a pin to unlock the door, but i didnt. I contacted the property using this option in booking but no response. Finally when a guest was getting out of the building, i asked how do I speak to a person to check in and they said I should go to the reception on the other side of the street for an hotel called "Aniston".
2- I went there and the employee was unfriendly, I said the check in process is complicated so she replied "it is self check in and it is labeled as such in booking" so I should check in my self. I said I would really want to if she gives me a pin! And she then said OK, I will write to you.
3- The safe inside the room was not working.
4- if you want to take a shower, you have to be really cautious because the water temperature suddenly make extreme shifts from normal to boiling hot to extremely cold and can give you either a shock or burn while bathing.
5- Cleaning the room was disappointing. While I understand their environment claims not to change the towels daily and also not to bring fresh bed sheets, I completely don't get the point why they left a couple of unwashed tea cups and didn't replace them with clean ones. The room also doesn't have a bin other than the one in the bathroom. So if you bring some bananas from outside or snacks you might be confused where to throw the waste.
6- Noise. One side of our room was on a corridor, every time our next door guests wakes up or any of the guests move around you will feel as if it's happening inside the room . Was very inconvenient when people are back at midnight and communicating loudly and then again in the morning when other people are up so early
7- Overcharged me.Last by not least, they charged me 20 euros more than the price I was expecting to pay as per the booking price. I submitted a request to booking to get this clarified and currently still waiting for feedback!
- Dziyana (6/5): Good room but some other questions - It was clean room
Location is 3 stops by train from old town Administrator Aneta was very rude and rolled her eyes on me.
There is alternative group rehearses for about 4-5 hours every day, so don't expect quiet evenings (I was in room 205), and the traveling bass was very loud
- Colin (6/5): Comfortable enough, if not quite 4 star - Location is very convenient to the tram stop and nearby lidl. There are nice coffee shops and restaurants in the area.
The room was spacious, clean, and cleaned regularly.
Staff were friendly.
Lift available.
Good wifi. No air con and the room got hot, windows open but then you hear noise from the street.
Only one bedside plug per side so you have to choose either you have a light, a fan, or charge your phone.
Room safe didn't work, probably needed new batteries.
The shower and sink drained very slowly and filled up quickly. Bathroom is a wet room so using the shower basically floods the whole bathroom.
- Flor (7/5): Good -
- Devneet (9/5): Superb -
- Sophie (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, clean and comfy During the summer the room is boiling so will definitely need 2 fans
- Mariana (8/5): Very good -
- Alsayani (4/5): Disappointing -
- Eva (9/5): comfortable - Comfortable room size, good even for long stays. Really huge bed - 4 people could sleep in it :-D Well-functioning climate. Quiet room, we rested well. I also rate self check-in excellently. The hotel building is a nice reminder of the tenement houses of Žižkov 100 years ago. There was a little less light - only one window on the roof. But in the summer it's not a problem.
- Gusmirovic (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kulsoom (10/5): Great hotel to stay in Prague! - Great hotel, rooms were clean and comfortable. My only complaint is there was no AC, even though the property mentions this. No AC
- Lukas (9/5): Superb -
- Judith (7/5): Good - The location was great, and the room was really spacious. There were no plugs, only one in the bathroom. Confusing check-in method.
- Dariusz (7/5): Good - Location, cleaniless Room location on ground floor under the stairs. To keep privacy had to close curtains all time. Self check in not the easiest.
- Mila (9/5): I am happy using your facilities. - Didn't have breakfast, left too early. Location bit far from the train station. Nothing, really.
- Marija (8/5): Very good -
- Marija (8/5): Very good -

- Stefania (10/5): Exceptional -
- Moussa (8/5): Very good -
- Denys (9/5): Good value for the price. Very friendly staff. - Breakfast was great location okay. Staff were nice and friendly. The receptionist ( Nikoleta ) was always helpful and always with a smile. No comment
- Marina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sarah (9/5): Superb - Nice location with confortable bed and great choice for breakfast. Staff very friendly.
- Caitlin (9/5): Superb - Clean, and close to centre
- Oleksandra (10/5): Exceptional - There is self check in and check out. There were toiletries , kettle with tea and instant coffee available. The room was clean. The hotel reminded me of American motels, so it was fun.
- Mohammad (8/5): Very good -
- Irakli (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mirza (10/5): Nice - To be honest location was good. Room is satisfactory for short stay.
Two questions:
What happened before with electrical devices and bathroom?? (See foto)
Would you change towel for Taylor Swift without charge?? The check in!! The bloody machine which does not read passport. Card reader is a bit slow.
- Martina (5/5): Stay was fine the self-service system was the problem. - Location. The self-service access was a mess, the machine would not accept any of my three credit cards, called the helpline but no answer. If there weren't a sister hotel across the street, with normal reception, I have no idea how I would get into my room.
- Sofia (7/5): Good - The location war good - not so far from the city center and the railway station, everything could be reached just on foot. The room was clean, good and clean bathroom, it looked nice. 1. Self check-in system: it was said in the message that it's supposed to spare our time. Ha! We spent 30 (!!) minutes to check-in. Twenty of them just because they forgot to reset the system and we had to go to another hotel across the road (what actually isn't mentioned anywhere; we met a manager (?) by chance at the entrance who told us about that reception) to ask to fix that problem. There could be less problems with that if they ANSWERED the phone!
2. Light: yeah, maybe for some people it's quite obvious but why not to place the sigh smth like "Put your card inside to switch on the light"? It would be great.
3. Door: We couldn't lock the door when we wanted to leave the room. It worked not so properly. It took another 30-40 minutes running there and back across the road to get some help and fix the problem. Again: PICK UP the phone please.
4. Noise: It's extremely noisy place! If you wanna get some rest after the train trip that started at 7:00, don't even dream about that, it's impossible.
- Bartosz (5/5): Passable -
- Christophe (8/5): Very good - Delighted with my stay at Patio Prague Hotel. The room was clean, the bed comfy (pillow a bit large), and the shower refreshing. Would recommend for a pleasant experience.
- Vincent (10/5): Recommended - Everything was good, clean bed, clean bathroom with the bath, too.
There is the option to self check-in/out with a device in the entrance or otherwise u can go to the 24/24h reception of the building across the street. Didn’t notice something bad to notice.
- Alexandra (9/5): Good value for the price - The location is really good, 20 minutes from the old town by walk, there is a grocery store nearby. There was a stain which looked like blood on my pillow.
- Anonymous (5/5): Passable -
- Chertin (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (7/5): Good -
- Rita (8/5): Very good - Location, and very comfortable. Beds were not made fresh. They just tidy up the beds.
- Yogendra (8/5): Great stay in Prague - Everything overall was Ok. Beds were comfortable and clean
Location is very good
Good for the price as well It didnt seem to be 4 star hotel as was mentioned.
- Teona (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nikos (8/5): Very good - Everything was perfect! The staff, the facility’s. It is so close to the center in a very good price! The most irritating thing in our experience was the self check in pc! Throw it away please!!
