Jochen (10/5): - Das Hotel liegt direkt an einer vierspurigen Einbahnstraße, die tagsüber sehr belebt ist. Wir hatten zum Glück ein Zimmer nach hinten mit einem netten Balkon. Eine Metro und Straßenbahn - Haltestelle liegt weniger als 50 m entfernt an der Kreuzung der nächsten Querstraße. Die Rezeption war nicht besetzt, unser Check-In und Check-Out erfolgte in einem anderen Hotel (etwa 70 m entfernt) an der gleichen Straße. Das Zimmer war geräumig und sauber. Beim Frühstück wurde das Buffet ständig wieder aufgefüllt, das Buffet war reichhaltig. Wir waren als Paar (60+) für zwei Tage in dem Hotel.
Emmy (8/5): Bra läge, inget att klaga på. - Väldigt bra läge med närhet till kollektivtrafik. Funkar kanon att gå till centrum på ca 20 min. Helt ok rum, sängarna va sköna. Lite småslitet men inte så att det störde helheten. Frukost var bra med tanke på priset.
Rebecca Louise (8/5): - Hotel is in a great location. Tram and metro stop is very close by. Square is in walking distance. Great bars and restaurants nearby as well. Hotel is a bit dated but had everything you need. Bed was comfy, fridge in the room and shower was great. We had a balcony room, oversaw the courtyard. There is a bar behind the hotel but they stop people from sitting outside at a decent time and you can’t hear them in your room. Breakfast was good each morning.

Elevators not available on each floor, stairs only. No AC only fan. Cupboard rattled every time u walk in the room. Checked in, checked right out.

Can’t ring reception but could WhatsApp, also provide luggage storage service. Close to tram station.

alexandremP9990SP (4/5): This is not a hotel - This is not a hotel as it pretends to be but a house whose divisions were transfomed in bedrooms. There is no reception on site, and there is a total lackage of those amenities that allow an eventual classification of 4 stars, as it pretends. The location is in a residential area, the rooms are clean but there is no hotel service except for the daily cleaning. The value for money is not what is expected from a hotel.

La habitación esta bonita pero el baño y sobre todo la regadera, es muy pequeña, será un problema para la gente grande y alta. Lo único malo fue que cuando supuestamente hacían la limpieza, solo hacían la cama, no cambiaban los vasos sucios ni lavaron el baño. El desayuno estuvo perfecto.

We had to pay a deposit and despite no issues we couldn’t get our money back. We have sent emails since coming home but they are not answering That’s why I will never return to the hotel.

Okan (6/5): Im Raffaello Hotel, gibt es keine Raffaello :) - Unsere Unterkunft bot ein sauberes und gepflegtes Zimmer, das modern möbliert war. Zwar lag unser Zimmer zur Hauptstraße, wodurch es manchmal etwas lauter war, und das Bett hat gelegentlich leicht geknarrt, doch für einen Kurzurlaub in Prag war es insgesamt eine gute Wahl. Die zentrale Lage und der ordentliche Zustand des Hotels machten den Aufenthalt angenehm. Vielen lieben Dank Raffaello für die Sektüberraschung zu Silvester!

Marina (4/5): Misleading rating - This hotel claim to be a 4-star hotel, and it was a disappointing experience. Upon arrival, I found that the reception was nonexistent and had to go to another hotel at different location to check in and get my keycard. The main door was often left open during the day, and in the evening, the door code didn’t work, setting off the alarm without anyone coming to check on it. This hotel lacks basic amenities like a reception, bar, or restaurant, making it feel more like a hostel than a 4-star establishment. As a single woman traveler, I found it uncomfortable and unsettling. I don't recommend this hotel unless significant improvements are made.
nigelwY2870DL (2/5): Very poor - Check in is in another hotel across a very busy rd about 400 yds away. Shower didn't work day for 4 days and reported twice Safe didn't open No water on 9th, resumed in the evening. One pillow per bed and they said they had no more. Noisy room on the 1st floor due to constant beeping of key codes and slamming of doors. Kettle didn't work for 2 days Reception phone no was wrong and we were not given correct no No bar or lounge or any inside seating areas. I asked to move rooms twice and was told it would be possible but I was never contacted. This is in no shape or form a 4 star hotel. Be careful !
Franz (8/5): - Hotel liegt nahe dem Wenzelsplatz und damit in der Altstadt. Wir waren mit dem Fahrrad dort und hatten somit kein Problem mit dem Parken. Einziger Nachteil: Die Zimmer auf der Straßenseite sind sehr laut.

The area is pretty handy as you're literally round the corner from the Metro (IP Pavlova stop) and within walking distance from the national museum and Wenaslas Square.

AYUMI (8/5): - 地下鉄直結でロケーションは最高でしたが、通り交通量が多く騒音がしましたが、窓を閉めると問題ありませんでした。スタッフは夜の7時半にはいなくなりますが、部屋や建物玄関は同じ4桁のコードで開けられ、Late Arrivalの人にはCode番号がメールで送られてきます。部屋もきれいでしたが、掃除はが少し手抜き気味で日によってお風呂場の掃除やタオル交換がされていないことがあったのでフロントに伝え対応してもらいました。　エレベーターがフロアの中間階にあるので、玄関入ってすぐと、すべての階で0.5階分階段を使わねばならず、大きなスーツケールのある方は注意が必要です。

Though the door frame of one of our rooms was falling apart I found the €10 for breakfast too much for what it is specially considering the availability of better choices in the vicinity. Hotel is next door to an underground station and several trams to travel around. Also about 30 min walk from town centre.

Wolfram (8/5): Retro Style, good location, a bit noisy - It is really close to Museum, and directly located at I:P. Pavlova metro station and a major tram hub as well. But this comes with a price - I stayed 2nd floor and the major street below is very busy and you'll hear it. I was aware that this hotel looks a bit old, but that is fine for me. I had a kettle in the room, but had to place the unit on the ground to find a place to plug it in!

Pedro_Duarte_85 (8/5): Good but too hot - Good breakfast with great variety. Clean and fully packed bedroom with everything needed for some good night stay. Only con is that the heater seems to be always on which makes the room very hot. We workaround this by opening the windows to let some good old Prague cold in.
559melanier (8/5): City Break - Hotel was clean and in a very good location for the square about a 5/10 minute walk. Breakfast was Ok with cereals, toast and cakes. Hot selection wasn’t so good. Only thing to remember breakfast is from 7:30 til 10:30 but once things have gone they do not replenish. You are left with whatever is left. The rooms we spacious but very dark with not much light. We had room 202 at the back which was very quiet. The bathrooms are big with shower over bath, only thing the bath had no plug so after a long day of sight seeing you couldn’t ease your aching legs. On the whole a good hotel and if I was visiting Prague again would definitely stay here again.
Beebob75 (4/5): Definitely not a 4 star hotel - I would not recommend this hotel. Arrived to find out they had given us a double room instead of a twin. The other guy I was shared with has a snore that would make you think of Leatherface chasing a victim in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. When we enquired at the desk we were given the bull excuse of "This is the way twin rooms are in Prague" and that there were no other rooms left as fully booked. Room was in need of a refurb (wallpaper peeling off, carpet threadbare in places) The shower was tiny and and your back constantly touched the tap which would either make you feel you'd been dropped into Mount Vesuvius or the Artic Ocean depending what angle you lightly tapped it. Breakfast was the same every morning and very cheap tasting.Everyone went about like they had won the lottery but lost the ticket. Had a fantastic time in Prague but my stay at this hotel was very unpleasant. I'd advise people to avoid as I've stayed in far nicer Travelodges and Premier Inns in the past. In fact I've stayed in nicer hostels than this place. Definitely not a 4 star hotel.
DianaCehlarik (6/5): Average - Average hotel (but not in a bad way). This is exactly the kind of hotel you want when you come into a city for sightseeing and travelling - meaning that you only come to the hotel to sleep, to have breakfast and then you leave for the rest of the day and spend it out. The room was clean, comfy, however it wasn't being cleaned every day - in order to get our room cleaned (on the 3rd day of our stay) we had to leave the "Please make up my room" sign on the door. The breakfast was average too. The selection wasn't that big, but I think that everyone was able to find something to suit their taste. To sum things up, I don't think this is a 4* hotel - 3* maximum. But as I said, we only went to the hotel to sleep and to have breakfast, other than that we were out in the Prague that is truly wonderful city. So yeah, if you are like us, then I would recommend this hotel to you.
Nicjane15 (8/5): Big rooms, great location - warm in summer though. - Great location and easy to get to from the mail railway just a 1.2 walk. The rooms were huge and had plenty of room to move around with luggage. It was very hot and no air conditioning lucky for the pedestal fan! This kept us cool enough to sleep. Like most places in Europe they don’t have sheets just Donna with a cover - we took the cover up only to horridly fine a stained brown blotches on the Donna. We reported this to reception the next morning and they apologised. Breakfast was fantastic! A great spread including yoghurt and cereals, eggs and meats, cheeses, breads, cakes and a coffee machine. Highly recommend and would stay again - maybe just not if it was a heatwave as there is no air conditioning.
a6olq (4/5): Complete disappointment - The location of the hotel is good and this is its only positive quality. There is a metro stop and trams within easy reach of various areas of Prague. · The hotel and furnishing of the rooms are quite old and need at least refreshment. The purity is not at a good level. There is no air conditioning, which is surprising for a 4-star hotel. Toilet items in the bathroom are not, but only one liquid soap, although they are declared available. There were only 2 contacts in the room Breakfast is enough, but all four days were the same, there is no variety and the products are cheap The choice of this hotel was influenced by positive feedback. I still do not understand how such a hotel can have a high enough rating? The quality of the services does not correspond to this price and the hotel does not correspond to a 4-star hotel. I will return to Prague again, but in no case at this hotel.
anaalub (2/5): Huge dissapointment!! Terrible experience - BIG DISSAPOINTMENT We travel around the world a lot, and have been to many countries and stayed in only 4-5 star hotel, and we can say that this stay in this 4star hotel was the worse one by far!!! We booked the hotel a week before our trip and it was one of the only vacant hotels with a high rating (4star) in the area where we searched. The hotel with 4 stars doesn’t even look anywhere near 4 stars. First bad impression was the reception, receptionist working on the first day of our arrival. We requested early check in on website which we didn’t end up getting. After we arrived we were poorly welcomed and told that our room will be ready in approx 4-5hours, so we left our stuff at the “lobby” and left. After 4 and a half hours we came back and were told that room is still not ready at the time that it was said it would be. We asked for wifi password and got rude answer from the receptionist. While waiting in the ”lobby” for our room to be ready, receptionist payed attention to the tv and his phone rather than guests waiting in the room. He was also rude to the other guests waiting. Next disappointment was the room. We booked a deluxe room which by all standards means that it’s should be better and upgraded. Room is poorly furnished, old furniture, you can hear people flushing toilets upstairs and in rooms next door, one matress was higher than the other one, it’s not king size bed but just two individual beds put together, really uncomfortable to sleep on, making noises when you move, you can hear all noise from the outside, and people talking in rooms next door. Not to forget to that we chose this room purposely because of bath, but there wasn’t even plug for bath provided. Staff is also not respecting privacy!!! we just got into the room which means that it was cleaned not long before. After 15min of being inside-while having shower someone was knocking on the door and we thought it was not for us, while in next second after only one time attempt of knocking on the door they decided to barge in the room , while I was in the bathroom. From other experiences staff should know to at least knock 3 times and inform the guests who is at the door. Also what were they looking for if the room was just cleaned and we just checked in?! Another disrespectful and not acceptable thing that happend was that we went out for the day we left the not disturb sign on the door, which means we didn’t want anyone to come in the room while we were gone or clean it. After whole day of being out we came back to the room where our things were “cleaned”, everything was just re-made, the towels weren’t even changed they were just re hung. Sign was taken down and put back inside. After complaining to receptionist he said he cant do anything and that it happened because their cleaners are not educated enough and obviously didn’t know as well as telling him that the hallway stunk of marijuana, his response was that it was Czechia and it’s allowed... where is the logic in that respecting others.. you can’t even smoke in the hotel. After that I assumed they went through personal stuff too as no-educated people probably do that. After our complaint he rudely walked off! What kind of response is this? Not educated enough? He didn’t want to discuss the thing at all and didnt offer anything beneficial to us as apology and had not even apologised himself at all. All of the receptionists that we had been communicating with were extremely rude!!! Also really unprofessional and don’t even wear a uniform (in a 4star hotel?!).. I think the staff in a Motel would have been better and respect privacy better!!! Breakfast was nothing special, has got nothing much to offer. Sadly we were not even expecting anything good after being “welcomed” by people like that and what we saw in the room. Last morning before we left we went for a breakfast at Novotel hotel close by and with same rating (4stars) and this can’t even be compared! Unfortunately Novotel was fully booked when we were looking for accomodation. Anyway....if I compare for example this hotel with 4 stars and hotel Novotel with 4 stars (all around the world+ other 4-5 stars rated hotels) then this means that this should be rated with 2 stars and Novotel with 5+stars! At the end they also charged us for city tax aswell, which we were told it’s included. And after check out we didn’t get any bill or some kind confirmation that we stayed there, or have paid tax or anything. The ONE AND ONLY good thing about hotel Raffaello is only it’s location which is close to metro and tram stations that leads your way everywhere around Prague. If you want to stay in good area we would recommend you to search in this area, but definetly not this hotel. We will never be coming back to this hotel ever again. Luckily we still enjoyed our trip in beautiful Prague. Definitely not worth 80-100€ a night.
vmmvieira_4l (6/5): Well located but In need of a refurbishment - Small room for a proclaimed 'Deluxe Double Room'. The entire hotel is in need of a good refurbishment. The drapes and carpet look like what I would expect to find in a 1950's house (but aged since, of course). There was some mold stains in the bathroom, like when you're removed the mold but you can't remove the discoloration it left behind. The room is well located - you can walk to Wenceslas Square in 15min - and the staff is friendly. Breakfast can (and should) be improved, specially the breakfast room which is not big enough to accommodate everyone at peek times.
Family091 (10/5): Lovely Hotel - We spend 3 nights here room 406 was lovely spacious and spotlessly clean. Reception staff very helpful, breakfast was varied and plentiful had read a lot of negative reviews but could not find anything to complain about. Location is great nice 30 min stroll from Pragues main square 45 mins for Prague Castle. Lots of traditional restaurants and bars very close to hotel and very reasonably priced. Personally could not fault this hotel.
richarddD4727LI (4/5): Great location poor hotel - A cramped room and tiny bathroom. Not sure as how they obtained their 4 star status. The reception area is great with classic furniture that would be classed as elegant. However, that is of no consequence of course if the rooms don't match the same style. Our room was dire, small, basic with a gruby feel. The bathroom was small with a bath and handheld showerhead and again, gruby with mold around the bath. (See photos) hair of the previous lodger on the floors made this an uncomfortable stay. The breakfast room was ok as was the buffet breakfast. On the positive, the coffee, from a bean to cup machine was great, the location is great, close to the Metro and other public transport. In conclusion, we would not stay at the Raffaello again, there are much better hotels around at a similar or lower price. As for the price, we don't mind paying a reasonable room price but in return expect a room that is worthy of the 4 star status. At the Raffaello that is not the case, I give it 2 and that is generous.
08018 (6/5): Basic, shabby chic, well-located but some quirks - I had a 4-night mid-week stay with my husband. We checked in speaking English (having reserved online) and were given one key card for a room on the second floor. The room itself was nothing special, but was quiet and had a television we didn't use and a safe we did. We had breakfasts at a generous self-serve buffet in the level below the concierge desk and it was quite good, with many choices (eggs, meats, cheeses, yogurt, cereals, sweet breads, fruit, spreads, savory dishes, coffee, tea, water, juice, etc.) There's linen on the tables. Food gets replenished, so early arrival isn't necessary for selection. It's available starting 7:30am. Sheets and towels were bleached white. There's very hot water available in a nicely tiled bathroom; Some room for improvement (orange mold at the bottom of the shower curtain and no grab bar for a very tall step out of the bath/shower.) We asked to have to room cleaned once, but didn't bother again since they used our same sheets again on the bed. Check out also left a bad taste in our mouths. A man at the desk said there was a 5 euro "city tax" when we returned our key. I asked my husband to put it on a card. The employee charged us Euro 4.40 with a look that didn't deny he'd misquoted the tax. Some travelers do tip for good service, but generally prefer to do so by choice. I got the impression that he has perhaps "tipped himself" out of many travelers' pockets by misstating the price (on a tax I am not even sure is real.) Finally, this location worked well for us, up the hill a few blocks from the National Museum (with metro, we managed to come from the airport with just one transfer from the bus). The hotel is also just a few blocks from an excellent restaurant called Matylda. (Order the svíčková and anything off the dessert menu!) at Tylovo namesti 1. I can't find a listing for them here but it was so good we had lunch or dinner there every day. It's an unpretentious dining room with farmhouse charm, nice people running it and English translation on the menus. It's moderately priced (remember the custom to ask for the tip to be added to your bill before your receipt is printed. That's how it's done here. If rounding up to the nearest hundred crowns gets you into the 10-15% range, that's about right.) Those meals were one of the highlights of my trip.
239cliffe (8/5): Good location and breakfast - TOO HOT in Winter! - This was a good value hotel early January. Right next to the Hop On/Hop off bus tour stop, and tourist office. (Bus tour was worthwhile - 24hr only tho). Breakfast was very good - plenty of choice (saw some poor reviews which were either rubbish or they had a bad day). Staff were fine (again some strange reviews) - not the smilyest but I think this is cultural. (Chinese chap on reception was very helpful). Our room (105) was very hot (-4 outside) - even with all the rads off. Fridge/TV in room and free safe. The more I write the better it gets! 10mins from Wenceslas/Nat Museum, 30mins from Old Town/Charles Br. Hour to Castle (Hrad) - other castle (Vysehrad) a pleasant stroll around if time (30+ min walk from Hotel)
