- Catherine (10/5): - Super great spot for travellers of all ages (and all ages there). Clean and comfortable rooms with your own USB port and reading light and curtain for some privacy. Stayed in a four bed female dorm. We had our own bathroom in the room. The location was phenomenal in the city and there is food and drinks downstairs. Only downside no kitchen to put things in a fridge as no outside food or drinks is allowed. The night I was there there was live music he was so good! I am staying again at the end of my trip. Will definitely stay here always and great value for money. Bring a lock you can lock your things in a cupboard in the room if you have a small lock with you

- Jay Anne (8/5): No TVs in the private rooms???? - So first of all I understand not having TVs in the dorm style rooms, but really...not in the private rooms? Some of us like to unwind and watch some TV or fall asleep with the sleep timer on. NO TVs in the private rooms but the bed and bathroom was really nice. But you cant bring water or snacks to the room or they will chrge you 50 euro...which i find very odd and very much a headache. Good location and good prices.

- robyne (10/5): - My first time ever using a hostel and I would definitely do it again. From young little kids to the old, everyone was welcome. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Best part a grocery store was half a block away.

- Kassandra (8/5): - The hostel is ideally situated only a short walk away from Temple Bar district. There are lots of pubs, restaurants and coffee shops nearby, and there's a major chain grocery store only a few steps away. The staff are always present, very helpful, and very friendly. The facilities are also very clean and very well maintained. The only downsides are: - No communal kitchen and they do not allow outside food on the premises (although apparently this is tolerated to a certain degree), which is very inconvenient since it forces you to buy food from the bar or the cafeteria within the hostel itself. - The shared showers and toilets are in the basement, and there are no mirrors or plug outlets there, which makes it inconvenient for women to do their hair/makeup in those areas. There was a bathroom with a mirror in the room I stayed in, but this was not practical for late showers / hair blow drying because of the noise and disturbance of the other room guests in the room.

The rooms are basic, but clean and the shower was great. The bar downstairs was welcoming and fun. Some of the “house rules” are a bit weird (no alcohol in your room, even a private room?), but it’s mostly the kind of place you just use to sleep. Very decent overall.
- Jennifer (10/5): - Excellent place! So modern, great rooms with privacy, as each bed has a blackout drape, a reading lamp and an area to plug your phone in. Bathrooms are modern and spotless, and there's both a bathroom with a sink and another shower with a sink. The downstairs is awesome, great full bar, espresso machine to make great coffee drinks, and excellent food. The staff were so friendly, helpful and patient! I'll recommend this place and most definitely stay here again! Best hostel I've stayed in! Thanks Jenn

None of us had stayed in a Hostel in many years, but the price and location were right on this, so we went for it and were all happy guests there for 2 nights. It was a clean, modern interior with good features in the room and hostel main area. Easy access to the hostel and in a great area of Dublin with walking distance to many highlights.

The sheets/pillow/mattress was fine but the walls and the ceiling in my bunk was covered in mucus which was pretty disgusting. The shower also had mold. Other than that everything was fine. The hostel was right in the city center and there were great food options all around.

- Judy (8/5): - Basic and sufficient. I had a private room with twin beds and my own bathroom and shower. Everything was small and efficient. The biggest disadvantage was that laundry requires an app which intern requires access to text messages. I left with dirty laundry.

When I asked for a lower bunk (older folk tend to not do as well with upper bunks), they tried to charge me extra for it, even though there was an open lower bunk in the room. 2. The lockers provided didn't have self-locks. Do they really expect people to bring their own? Those were my only nits, everything else was fine.

- Paul (8/5): Everything you need in a hostel!.. - Grabbed two nights here and stayed in a room of four. Room contained one room with sink and toilet. Another room with shower and toilet. Towels and padlocks for lockers are charged seperately. Great staff. Temple Bar is a five minute walk away. Tram-line right outside the front door. Hop-on buses one street over. Great location. Hostel contained all walks of live, old and young, even families, as it was a very busy weekend in Dublin. Would definitely stay here again.

- Chloe Ka Kei (6/5): - The location itself was good. Right in the middle of everything. It was a roughly 15mins walk to the main airport bus station and 20mins walk to Trinity college. I have booked a 6 people room which our room has an accessible ensuite. It was massive but could do with a few shelves fitted in the toilet for storage. You need your room card to enter to the building after certain time which is good for security. You will need the card to access the basement which is where the storage room and more toilets are. It was a slight inconvenience when you have checked out and get your stuff although the staff will give you a visitor card to get around.

- Jack (6/5): - Overall the property was fine. Just fine. The area is kinda sketchy to be honest. The pricing for things like locker space and towels I felt was too high. I appreciated that they had an elevator, and getting to my room was very straight forward. The privacy curtains on the bunks were a strong plus. The mattress is stiff as a board. The staff was chill and answered my questions well so I can’t complain there. There really didn’t seem like any kind of community or night life there, or at least nobody was really interacting while I was there. I don’t know, I’d probably try a different brand next time just to see if this was a one off.
- Monica (8/5): - I enjoyed the stay as we were central in Dublin and could easily walk to attractions and public transit (the red line is just in front). They seemed clean enough of a hostel, the housekeeping staff were alright. We had an issue where housekeeping staff entered our room and did not close the door properly. This happened 2 days in a row and the staff at Clink I Lar offered to move us to another room. That was nice and helped give us some peace of mind. Moving forward, if they updated their doors so that the deadbolts worked, and there was no need to pull the doors as forcefully then this could have mitigated the possibility of this issue. Thankfully the workers were quite responsive and kind about the issue.

The private rooms do offer privacy but cleaning is only every 3 days unlike standard hotels. We are low maintenance so this didn’t really bother us. We had a wonderful stay.

The staff were super friendly and always ready to help with directions or suggestions. The dorms had individual lockers, and the common areas had a cozy vibe where I met other travellers. The bathrooms could use more frequent cleanings. If you’re a solo traveler or backpacker, this place is a win. Would definitely stay again!
