Guest Reviews
- LARRY (2/5): - This place is a disaster. I was shocked that Expedia had this place listed as a 5 star on their website. Shower didn’t drain causing flooding when showing, room A/C didn’t work. Staff isn’t helpful and incompetent. When asked to move to another room, they kept saying there wasn’t one available when asking about checking out and getting a refund they said that wasn’t an option to receive the refund was the worst hotel stay of my life if I could give zero stars, I would. they don’t even have AC in their lobby.
- Vicky (5/5): Shame about the upkeep - Location on a prestigious street in a good location. Room was big. Room was like it hadn’t been used for months. Hadn’t been vacuumed and didn’t have proper amenities in it. Hotel was oddly decorated which is a real shame as it could have been very grand. Staff were polite but odd. Hotel needs general upkeep in rooms and common areas and better management generally. Breakfast was ok- you had to order off the menu and on Sundays they didn’t have the full menu.
- Lipski (5/5): Passable - The breakfast was very good, day shift staff was great
- Nouf (4/5): Did not meet any expectations. - Location of the hotel, and size of the room and bathroom. Stefania was the only helpful staff member as the other staff members were not helpful and one of them messed up our dinner reservation. Broken elevator for the entire duration of the stay. Wish we got a heads up ad I was traveling with my elderly mother and stairs are difficult for her. Do not bother & pay for breakfast. Disappointing, couple of fresh juices and a plate of pastries (“breakfast” photo attached)
- Anonymous (2/5): A total rip-off. Avoid this place! THIS IS NOT A FIVE STAR HOTEL! - Room was spacious and we changed from junior suite, which had a view to a dumpster to double deluxe, which had a street view. Bathroom amenities were ok, but not a 5-star hotel standard. This is not a 5-star hotel! It is rather 3-star rental apartment level, but not a 5-star standard. The place is run down and worn out. Our room door did not have even the door handle. In our delux double, curtains were damaged, armchair broken. There is no restaurant, no lobby bar, no laundry service, no room service, no bottled water in the fridge. There were basically no services and comfort, that a 5-star hotel standard requires. As a guest, I feel ripped off. I’ve travelled a lot, but such a ripp-off I experienced first time. I’ve filed also a complaint to booking.com, but nobody replied, nobody cares. At any cost, do not choose Hotel Via Veneto, you’ll be utterly disappointed.
- Ali (4/5): Disappointing -
- Jim (3/5): This small boutique hotel is in a great location and has friendly staff. But it needs maintenance. - Friendly staff. Great location. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Allowed us to change rooms.
But the hotel needs maintenance and management action. Issues included:
* Broken door handle to enter the room
* Air conditioning leaking fluid and noisy in Junior Suite
* Chef did not arrive for work one day - so no breakfast (which was paid and included in room fee)
* Other days there was no coffee and no bacon despite being on the menu
* No bulb in one bedside light
* Broken set in hallway guest bathroom.
- Shauna (2/5): Would not recommend - Friendly staff. Safe area My room had not been properly cleaned. Toilet in bathroom still had ‘splatters’ from a previous guest. Breakfast was apparently available from 7.30 but was not there as I left at 8 this morning. All a little of fawlty towers!
- Nahyan (1/5): Bad -
- Naser (1/5): Bad - Nothing Everything
- Timo (9/5): Very good, I can recommend to stay here! - The room was awesome, all i needed. I booked an entirely normal room and ended up with a 30sqm+ room near the center of the city. Most other hotels try to squeeze you in the smallest possible space so they can get more guests, that is not the case here.
This hotel is certainly not a five star luxury hotel as there is no spa but considering the prices i really liked it.
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The Wifi was very weak in my room and i had to use my mobile data, was no issue for me tho thats why i have it.
- John (6/5): Very nice staff but advertised failure to provide dinner facilities disappointing - Breakfast was only fair but waiter in dining room very nice man, Despite Booking Com website and the hotel website stating or implying that the dining room was open for evening dinner ,it was not. I will now be a lot more sceptical of Booking.Com's webite
- Ebrahim (10/5): Exceptional - Everything AC policy of municipality.
AC cold can be start by mid of May
- Badawi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Richard (9/5): Superb - Very convenient located hotel, great size rooms
- Ashley (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tonya (10/5): 4 nights in Rome! - Beautiful new boutique hotel that has very comfortable beds! The room is huge with the bathroom having double vanities and a shower and separate tub! Not too far from Trevi fountain. We didn’t have the breakfast as it wasn’t included in our package, so can’t speak to that. But would highly recommend!
- Fmcalisto (10/5): A perfect place for a romantic and unforgettable stay in the heart of Rome. - The entire experience was wonderful. The staff were genuinely kind and the hotel itself was beautiful. It was a special night for us, and everything, from the room to the ambiance, helped make it unforgettable. The location was ideal, close to the Spanish Steps and Villa Borghese, yet quiet and calm. Nothing stood out. It was exactly what we hoped for.
- Alex (3/5): False 5 stars advertisement - The rooms are clean. This is not a 5 star hotel. The lobby is tiny and looks like a 3 star hotel. Very disappointing for the exorbitant price I paid.
- Mary (4/5): Disappointed by our admission process. But the breakfast was a bonus - The breakfast really good.
Location good Very abrupt lady on our check in. Kept asking for documents to prove we had paid.
Bedroom really hot. Couldn’t open as window as our room was on the street level. And no A/C.
Room clean and tidy.Refuse bins were not collected from previous clients.
- Yomna (6/5): awful - this hotel is never to be 5 stars iwas deceived by booking. com the breakfast was very poor menu i assked for black tea and croissanrt but they told for 2 days it is finished no manger found to complain
- Stephanie (8/5): Nice stay - The room was really big. I checked in around midnight, the check in was taking way too long. And the person was writing down my creditcard info on a paper, very strange.
- Mahsa (7/5): Great Stay, but Half-Board Was Disappointing - We had a wonderful stay at this five-star hotel and would like to sincerely thank the staff for their excellent service. The breakfast was fantastic, with a wide variety of fresh and delicious options. The staff was always friendly, professional, and attentive, which made our experience truly enjoyable. However, we were disappointed with the half-board dinner. Surprisingly, we were not allowed to choose freely from the menu because there was no chef until the last day of our stay. Additionally, the restaurant was closed on Monday, which was not communicated in advance. This was frustrating, especially for our children, who were unable to eat what they wanted.
- Panagiotis (8/5): Very good -
- Ann (10/5): Exceptional -
- Maksym (8/5): Very good -
- Ibrahim (3/5): Poor - Nothing ! The view from the windows was terrible, facing a rooftop filled with debris and a wall of the neighboring building just 3 meters away. On Booking.com, the room size was listed as 33 m², but in reality, it was around 20 m²- the corridors and bathroom, and 12 m2 small uncomfortable bedroom. The hotel missing a SPA area or gym area despite presenting itself as a 5-star structure.
- Waleed (9/5): I recommend to stay in - The room was large and comfortable
The staff was wonderful helpful Non
- Hamed (5/5): I will not come back again to the same hotel, i booked for 5 stars hotel but i think its 3 stars hot - Only the location. No lobby, elevator very small and not good, all the rooms wall needs painting, breakfast very limited.
- Thiago (10/5): A gem in Via Veneto with the most friendly service! - Size of the room, bathroom and shower, comfort of the bed. Location and super firefly staff!
- Zornitsa (9/5): Superb -
- Michael (9/5): Large clean rooms with great bathrooms. Excellent location in safe area. Super friendly staff - Great location. Large clean room with very good bathroom. Super friendly staff.
- Laleh (9/5): Location, brand new, Hermes toiletries, friendly staff - Brand new, great service. Good price for a big room. Nice breakfast. Hermes toiletries, big bathroom, friendly staff. Great location. Loved our stay. Everything
- Pintilescu (1/5): Avoid if you have 5 stars expectations. Very poor service, very poor breakfast, no restaurant, no pool, no spa, nothing. - Clean and ok location No facilities, not good value for the money.
- Michael (10/5): Located next to the Borghese Gardens but very quiet. Comfortable and very clean rooms. - Terrific location across from Borghese Gardens. We had a large deluxe room which was well appointed, very clean and quiet. Staff were very friendly Nothing
- Charles (3/5): Extremely Disappointing - The hotel was really well presented, and the location is very good to see everything. I’m really disappointed in the fact that the stay had been ruined for me on Christmas Day, before arriving I tried to contact the hotel to book the Christmas dinner which they had sent me menus for, I emailed to ask to book a table which I never got a reply for, I then messaged on Booking.com to try and book which was also ignored so I assumed nothing had been booked as I didn’t receive a booking confirmation or any sort of confirmation at all for the dinner. When I arrived at the hotel, I asked the front desk if they could book the table and they then informed me that it wasn’t a dinner, it was a lunch so I didn’t go through with the booking, instead I had a few of the staff help me book a table for dinner for Christmas Day at another restaurant, this was 2 days before Christmas Day as I arrived on the 23rd.
On Christmas Day I received a call to my hotel room and was informed that I had to pay for the original dinner at the hotel, I explained that nothing was booked/confirmed and on the phone the lady saw that both messages had been ignored and told me that she would look into it. The next day I found out I had been charged €300 for the dinner with no warning, as soon as I saw my bank statement I went downstairs to talk to the receptionist.
- Tatiana (10/5): We were were happy - We loved everything. You cannot find better location, because Via Veneto it’s class and charm of the Rome … The staff of the hotel was so Helpful , kind and always smiling ! I lost my phone on the plane coming to Rome and the concierge ( all the girls) help me to manage to find it , and it’s was successful. I was so happy ! The guys on the front door and servant for the breakfast were sooooo nice and kind . The room we took was huge for the Italy , 40m2 , newly renovated with unbelievable comfortable bed and pillows and nice TV with good channels ( I was surprised the variety of the stations)The hotel still need a little work for the entrance , but we will definitely recommend to stay , it’s worth for money you pay . We will come back again. Thank you Nothing
- Jmu (9/5): Great place to visit Rome. Staff was very friendly. - Great location. Close to Piazza Spagna. Breakfast was excellent. Great service by the staff. The carpet in the room could be renovated.
- Vassilios (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shahn (10/5): Exceptional - Hotel was great. Roxana and Stefania, at concierge desk were beyond helpful, friendly and amazing. The entire staff was great. The breakfast was excellent and the dinner at the hotel restaurant was delicious. I look forward to coming back to Rome and staying here again. Overall, it was a great experience.
- Michele (7/5): Not as expected - The balcony view was awful and also dangerous you can go out in the balcony and broke a leg
- Abdulmohsin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robert (5/5): It was okay, but no reason to call it a 5 star hotel. - Very good location Shower was not hot. WiFi was weak. No effective control over room temperature, other than window.
- Jackson Kwok Leung (4/5): - This hotel is ver new. Unfortunately, everything wasn't working well. WiFi is very unstable, cut off in every 5 minutes, I needed to re-register very 5 minutes. I gave up.... TV remote control wasn't working at all, No drinking water provided. You better go to the market to get the water before boarding. I told the front desk the problems, but no one care to fix it. No facial tissue paper provided. My goodness.... 4 to 5 stars hotel?
- Cinzia (9/5): Superb - Room's view. Lack of hotel terrace/balcony.
- Noel (9/5): Very good generally for a stay in Rome. - Cleanliness and friendliness of staff. Aircon wouldn’t turn down.
- Di (9/5): Superb -
- Sherifa (10/5): Nice and comfortable stay - Comfortable Nothing
- Selami (6/5): Not good enough - Breakfast is no good at all Not enough food and not fresh should be buffe breakfast because five star hotel
From three days, I just tried Thursday for breakfast and other two days I not go for breakfast because there’s no good
- Aliya (7/5): Good - Room interior especially bathroom Small lobby area , breakfast is limited .

Many thanks to all staff, especially for Miss stefania she didn't hastait to give us any kind of support.
- Yarden7 (8/5): Not bad but has room to improve - the stuff was very friendly, polite and efficient There were too much malfunctions. On one of the days there were no hot water in the morning and it took half an hour to fix this problem. Afterwards, the lift didn't work and when we returned to the hotel around 15:45 the room was not serviced and we had to wait for the maid to come and organize the room.
- Amir (7/5): Small things - The size and style of the room There are small details like the attachment of the shower had...
The alevator roof.
Just fix the small things please.
Carpet meeting the steps.
Small things that would help you become greate.
Other then that the room was greate.
- Gerri (10/5): - The staff at Hotel Via Veneto are exceptionally welcoming, expert, and helpful. Thank you Roxana, Stephanie, and Drita! The location is outstanding. Our room was comfortable and immaculate and the bathroom was luxurious. Our stay included breakfast, served in style by Frederico, Montoya, and Samele. While the price is high, you get the full value. We look forward to returning someday.
- Dmitri (8/5): Nice small hotel near Villa Borghese - Staff at reception (Drita, you're the best) and at breakfast are very helpful, breakfast is very good. Location is great. Nothing of note

- Marina (10/5): Excellent - It’s a hidden gem on Via Veneto, tucked between big luxury hotels.
Opened just a few months ago, fresh , clean and comfortable, has all luxury amenities and for a reasonable price!
Rooms are very spacious, airy, high ceilings, comfortable beds and high quality linens.
Hotel staff is amazing, I want to take an opportunity and thank Ditta and everyone else for taking care of us. They all are highly professional and well trained.
Location is one of the best in Rome, next to Borghese gardens and close to all attractions. A lot of good restaurants around. Just ask your hotel host. No flaws in this hotel

In order to get this resolved was told to call booking.com at 9:30 pm on Friday night.
Requested a quiet room and was given one facing the street could hear it the bar all night long.
Then at breakfast was told what we could order after ordering it was then told it was additional cost.
Room tax of €20 per night when in Florence and Venice it was a fraction of this place
- Choutko (7/5): Fine, however as half of the metro line A is closed, the location is not great any more to our taste - Omelette was quite good indeed We have had a bit noisy background from the street but in general it’s ok

- Nikola (1/5): Very very bad hotel. Nice lokation in nice street but staff is very bad. Maybe we have bad staff who work 12.07 afternoo - absolutely nothing. this is not a hotel especially not 5 stars. how can this be advertised on booking as a 5-star hotel Very bad staff, they dont now how to menage hotel. We ask for late check out and they told as ok. When we leave the hotel they charge us 180 euro. We told them this is not corect because i ask lady in morning ( from Macedonia) to check can we have late check out and She call fest who coming in our room and She told us yes you can stay they come late and we have time to clean the room. Afternoon 12.07 i come in hotel 15,00 oclock another lady working and i told her we go in the room to pick up lugage and i say to her Thanks for Evrything and i give to her 40 euro tips to give housekeping lady 20 euro Doorman ask if need Taxi to airport we Said yes and i ask for price. He told us 65 euro but i told him in evry Taxi when you call for us from hotel you can read Fiumicino is 50 euro. I told them is 15 euro more he told me yes when you stop on street they charge you 50 when we call to come in hotel is 60 euro. After when we come dawn he told us we finish Taxi for you for 50 euro. And in that moment problem is starting they ask us to pay 180 euro late check out. If they tell us in morning for that we dont stay we put lugage in storage on reception and we wait our Taxi to airport. Lady in morning was very nice Lift in hotel was out of order. Firs day when we come we can not use. Breakfast is very bad Definitly this is bad expirience and this object can not be a hotel. Maybe 3 star but 5 no posibile.
- Jennifer (10/5): We were treated like royalty! - Everything!
- Paul (9/5): small boutique hotel that largely surpassed our expectations. the reception staff are very friendly and nice, Gaia, Maur - top value for money meaning substantially lower rates and larger and more comfortable rooms. Indeed space of rooms is extra generous and impeccably clean with a Via Veneto address nothing. just excellent
- Abdelrahman (8/5): Indeed the hotel will be one of the options for the next trip - The staff was amazing and helpful. The hotel location is perfect to visit the city center. Quite hotel and clean No much facilities compared with other 5 star hotels and the price
- Jaberm92 (9/5): Superb - Value for money
Clean
Nice staff
Large rooms They didn't provide drinking water
They need more varieties in TV (other languages)
- Ian (7/5): Reasonably priced, good quality room in a good location in Rome. - Location, room and reception staff. Other than the room and reception based dining area there are no other facilities.
- Sebastian (3/5): Poor -
- Marina (1/5): they stole my deposit amount 700 eu - breakfast poor
- Morteza (8/5): Very good -
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional - The rooms might be the nicest ones in Rome. Large, modern with high quality furnishings. Very large and luxurious bathroom. Would have cost more than 1000 EUR per night in the 5 star hotels nearby and not been up to this standard. Staff is extremely nice and service minded. I will definatly come back
- Niki (9/5): Great staff who make the hotel worthwhile - The staff at Hotel Via Veneto were the highlight, they were all so friendly, helpful and professional. The hotel is clean and modern and was a great place to rest between big walks to all the attractions. The air conditioner in our room wasn’t quite keeping up with the late June heat in Rome but we weren’t in the room often enough for it to be a problem
- Joanne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sama'a (6/5): Pleasant -
- Tatiana (10/5): Exceptional -
