• Mario E (6/5): A well-located, budget-friendly option for a quick trip - The hotel's location in Wan Chai is incredibly convenient, with easy access to the MTR and plenty of local shops and restaurants nearby. I also appreciated the friendly and helpful front desk staff who made the check-in process smooth. The room was quite small and the facilities felt a bit dated, which made the space feel cramped. Additionally, the street noise from the nearby tram and traffic was noticeable even on higher floors, making it difficult to sleep at times.

Kamer schoonmaak Het doorspoelen van het toilet duurt erg lang voordat het water op gang komt. Kamer is erg krap voor 3 personen.

• 4chillis (10/5): Clean and comfortable - If you're looking for a comfortable, but basic, hotel that offers great value for money then this is the place for you. The Hennessy Hotel is located on a main road with lots of restaurants and sights within walking distance. Conveniently located to the tram, metro and buses. The room was larger than I expected and two people with suitcases fit comfortably. The room was clean and had everything that we needed. Good wifi. Even though we were right by a main road it was quiet. Bed was comfortable. Plenty of hot water and pressure in the shower. Staff were helpful during our stay. You will need to provide a credit card for the deposit. Hong Kong has outlawed the provision of free toiletries in the room (which is great) but you can purchase them for a reasonable price if you need. Shampoo and shower gel is provided.

The day shift guy showed me the way to the ferry to get to Tsim Sha Tsui, it's shorter, faster and cheaper than taking the metro. I really enjoyed the ferry. The room floor could have been cleaner.
• Daniel (8/5): Angenehmes Stadthotel in Hongkong Island - Nettes Hotel mit gutem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Hilfsbereites Personal. Angenehmer Aufenthalt ohne Probleme oder Umstände. Unser Bett war wirklich unglaublich hart. Haben uns nach der ersten Nacht zusätzliche Decken von der Rezeption bringen lassen, um Rückenschmerzen zu vermeiden. Es kann durch die große Straße und Verkehr auch laut werden in der Nacht, ist aber normal in Hongkong.

• Caren (8/5): Very good - Great location in terms of accessibility to public transport (ding ding, bus, MTR) and airport transport (Bus). Unfortunately it is between 2 MTR station and so there will be some walking involved if you are planning to catch the MTR to the hotel. It is a small hotel in terms of the block rooms available; each floor has only 3 rooms and there is a HK dessert shop next to the entrance. Even though it is on the main road, it is reasonably quiet (we were staying on 13th floor if I remembered correctly). Staff is polite. The room is actually reasonably roomy in the context of what a hotel room could be; there is no need for one person to climb over another person to get to bathroom/ exit etc. Kettle, instant coffee and tea bags provided. Great hot water supply and water pressure. Knowing it is a cheaper hotel in comparison to hotels nearby (especially the location it is in), it has definitely met my expectations in terms of comfort, cleanliness and accessibility. Would love to have a little bit more security so you feel more safe in terms of entry/ exit of the building/ access to the floor. Also, the digital lock at the door is quite loud in terms of unlocking and locking (it makes some kind of an announcement) that you feel like your neighbours would know when you enter/ exit your room. I think this is due to the nature of plumbing in HK, you can hear your neighbouring room using the shower/ sink with the turning on/ off of the tap.

• Rizwan (7/5): Good. - Since we went for business, the hotel met our needs of just crashing at night and leaving in the morning. The location was good, Halal food was also in under 10 mins walk, shopping areas was also under 10 mins and even the metro. The place doesn't have breakfast available. As we weren't looking for something out of the ordinary, we didn't have much expectations from the hotel. The property is small but they should have a breakfast buffet floor too. It will definitely boost up their demand.
• Susan (8/5): Very good - The hotel was still undergoing renovations in March, which means that amenities were upgraded. It is a very convenient location - 5 min walk to/from the Causeway Bay MTR, and practically next to the MTR is the massive Times Square Mall.
• K (8/5): nice hotel nice location - Nice hotel, which was small with what appeared to be only ?3 rooms per floor but very tall. We had decent sized rooms for Hong Kong with comfy beds. The fancy toilet seat was very intricately designed. Lively area with convenience stores, department strores, malls and restaurants all around. Easy to reach from the airport on the A11 airport bus stopping almost outside. In between 2 MTR stops so had to walk some way to get on the train. No body wash refill provided in one bedroom when it ran out & no soap refill in the other. There was also a drain in the middle of the bathroom which was persistently wet. We requested an extra pillow from the cleaner which never arrived. The lobby was restricted due to refurbishment making it inconvenient whilst waiting for the elevator due to lack of area.

• K (8/5): Very good - Good location with lots of city life around. It was between Causeway Bay and Wanchai MTR stations so a 10 minute walk either way. No real facilites at this hotel but ok for our needs which was a well located place to sleep. It's narrow and very high.

• Ha (3/5): Very bad experience - Convinient for transportation is the only good thing The actual room is less good than the photo portrait, old bathtub, furniture breaking, and extremely poor soundproof. It's hard to sleep without earplugs. The hotel is streetfront, so you can hear all kinds of traffic all night, plus the noise from people in the hallway. And to make sleeping even more uncomfortable, the ceiling lights in my room turned on by itself 4 times during the night. Imagine how frustrated we were while trying to sleep after 14 hours of flight from Paris. And the staff, although nice, is incredibly unhelpful. They won't be able (and probably don't want) to help you if you are in need of modifying your booking, they won't provide you with the information you asked even if you contact both booking.com and call the hotel via international line to ask for help. For my case, after trying to modify my booking with many attempts, the manager and staff kept stalling, wouldn't give me any clear answer, and I ended up couldn't modify it and have to paid for the day I don't even stay in Hongkong. So don't expect the hotel to help you, they won't. Plus, even though I have free cancelation until 15th Jan, on the 14th I already could NOT cancel my reservation. So to sum up, the experience with this hotel has very much spolied my trip in Hongkong.
• Daniela (1/5): Terrible stay; degraded rooms and extremely hard mattresses. - Nothing Terrible stay; degraded rooms and extremely hard mattresses. I do not recommend this place at all. My family and I stayed in two rooms, and this cannot be called a hotel. It’s essentially a building where each apartment has been converted into a room. The rooms are poorly maintained and cared for. The walls are dirty, and in some areas, the partitions are broken. In the bathroom, there was a leak, leaving the floor constantly wet. Similarly, the room where my parents stayed also had a leak. The worst part was the mattresses—they were extremely hard, like bricks. Sleeping on them was awful. Overall, the room was in a state of disrepair and certainly not worth the price. To make matters worse, the receptionists—if you can even call it a reception—provided terrible service. They questioned basic requests, such as asking for toilet paper. When I arrived, the roll provided was nearly empty, yet they made it seem like a hassle to replace it. Never in my life have I stayed in a place this bad. Although the photos online make the rooms look acceptable, the reality is far from it—they are dreadful. It was an extremely disappointing experience.

• Shinsimi (9/5): So so . . - I like that they change the towels everyday, location wise is good and the noodle shop in front is always available, no restaurant on the hotel so you need to buy your own food everyday and might want to consider that. Internet is good also kudos to that i guess oh and theres self service laundry on the other street at the back of the hotel The bedsheets are not changed everyday even though i request it to be changed after two days they only changed it once in between 8days, they also forgot to include the complimentary coffee and tea and have to ask for it, they dont have service phone so you need watsapp to contact their front desk for an almost 70k php price for 8 days/7 nights it may be cheaper on different currency tho its kinda expensive for the minimal service
