• Nicolaas Gerardus (8/5): Goede lokatie voor een heel zacht prijsje. - De handdoeken worden optijd verwisseld. En de ligging is vlakbij de I-square en de pier om naar Hong-Kong island te gaan. Matras is dun, en dit is de kleinste douche/wc die ik tot nog toe heb mee gemaakt, maar het is te doen.

Consiglio di prenotare una stanza per 2 persone anche se indicata x 4. Altrimenti non si riesce a mettere le valigie. Tranquillo. Attenzione al check in solo dopo le 14:30. Ci hanno dato accesso per lasciare le valigie prima di accedere alla stanza. Il bagno un poco piccolo con lavandino minuscolo, con la doccino e senza piatto doccia quando si fa la doccia si bagna tutto, incluso wc.
• Maria Santos (10/5): Look at the price,recommend for visitors from Philippines with tight budget. - Immaculate clean,staff is so helpful especially for the late checkin request,thoughtful and accommodating.Small but with all essential amenities like plugs,wifi,water dispenser,microwave. We are from Philippines and it fits our needs.Central located and just remember it's for budget use but not for luxury. The building contains many guest houses and busy lifts,however,the host we thought (maybe the best) very honest and helpful.

Quarto extremamente pequeno para duas pessoas, só cabia a cama no quarto e a casa de banho muito pequena. Não tem ar condicionado como prometido, tinha ventoinha antiga que fazia imenso barulho, não dava para descansar. Não trocaram as toalhas de banho nos dias da estadia, em vez disso, pegaram as nossas toalhas sujas que estavam no chão, dobraram e colocaram em cima da cama como se estivessem lavadas. A entrada do prédio à noite está cheia de vendedores de droga indianos.

La stanza è davvero piccola, ho preso una camera matrimoniale ma le stanze risultano davvero molto piccole, difficile muoversi lì dentro in particolar modo se si è in compagnia.

• Rachel (4/5): Decided to stay elsewhere after seeing the building - -Friendly check-in host. -A/C unit in room -Located inside a crowded, market-like mall with speculative security. Must go through corridors of vendors in order to get to the elevator to the guesthouse. -Elevator is small and slow. The elevator can only fit about 5 people at a time. No "reception desk" or security guard before entering the elevator, which is open access to the public and shared with all other building residents. -As another reviewer stated, the shower and the toilet appear to be in the same "stall" (with the shower above the toilet). -Other comments on the building: Don't want to generalize, but unsure if this is the type of building to attract troublesome guests. We accidentally went up the wrong elevator (in the wrong block). When we took the stairs down, there were garbage bags left in the stairwell plus a cockroach. However, Tower C, where this guesthouse is located, seemed to be better. -Personally would not book again.

Once at the gallery just walk till the end and find elevator C. Many nice vendors offering food and electronics. I love the silence in the night. Could be a little more clean. It’s clean enough but there is space for improvement .

• Paola (5/5): - Sicuramente la posizione è perfetta ma si deve essere preparati al posto. La struttura si trova in un condominio non proprio accogliente e l'ingresso è in una galleria piena di negozietti tipici. Però non ci sono problemi di sicurezza. La stanza è proprio piccola (come segnalato di 7 mq) ma molto datata e non troppo pulita. Nello stretto corridoi si trovano oggetti della struttura ( forse per la pulizia, scalette, bidoni vuoti...) Le foto in internet non rendono bene l' idea e le camere sembrano molto meglio di quello che realmente sono.

• Ingrid (8/5): A clean, convenient place to crash for a short stay in Hong Kong. - Excellent location. Good value: it's nothing fancy, but reasonably clean and comfortable. Our room was also pretty spacious for a budget room in Hong Kong. Not exactly soundproof but surprisingly quiet for being in such a busy location. Very nice staff, and they are extremely responsive on WhatsApp. A note about Chungking Mansions: I'm not entirely sure what people are so afraid of. The downstairs felt like a pretty typical Asian market to me (if anything the vendors were more helpful and less pushy than I'm used to). There are money changers and lots of people selling things like power adapters if you forgot to bring one. The blocks are clearly labeled so it wasn't hard to navigate, and while the elevators can be slow there are stairs with fire doors in case of an emergency. No major complaints. Check in was a little confusing and took a while. I wish they'd given us two keys since there were two of us and you need the key for the lights to work. The elevators were indeed kind of annoying.

I went and booked way better hotel. I would avoid at all costs

• Anna (9/5): Great value at a super location - The location is super convenient with a direct bus to the airport and a metro station nearby, the room is small, but everything is functional and clean, there is drinking water and a refrigerator in a common area. I really liked the hard bed, wifi worked great and it wasn’t noisy - only humming of the ACs from hundreds of flats. Staff was efficient and friendly, accessible via whatsup. I suggest the owner to provide automatic arrival info (details about which lift to take, when and how to leave the luggage before check-in, etc) to the guests a day before, like many private hotels do. It’s possible to leave the bag from 9:30 , but one needs a code for the door from the host, and if you don’t have a mobile service, go back to the street and use Wifi at Cafe de Coral next door. Also, I had a issue with a smoking smell in a corridor due to some guest smoking in his room and the host took care of it eventually.

• Dominica (10/5): It's a great place to lay our head,safe and clean,recommended for budget stay. - Combination of cheap price,convenience,good cleanliness and considerate staff.Room is clean,wifi,TV,airconditioner,shampoo,toothbrush,towel,slippers,hot water for shower.They located in very convenient location where we got all things easily,supermarket,bus,ferry,harbour,park,museums.For the price we paid,we knew and realized the place will be special and small in Hong Kong,so no need to overestimate will be luxury.But we enjoy the stay especially staff are super friendly and helpful. For fair judgement,we cannot critise anything base on the price and things got.The only thing is small size.

Everything is nearby and the food in Chungking Mansion were delicious. If you're not a seasoned traveler or super picky, this might not be for you. People in the mansion seem intimidating but you just ignore them and nothing will happen to you. The rooms are also bare basics but remember, you get what you pay for.

• Maloney (6/5): It’s not luxury, but it’s okay for a budget stay. - The location is great and the price is great for Hong Kong. I was worried about feeling unsafe as a solo female traveler, but it was fine for a night. You have to walk through a market to get to the elevator and I had to wait for someone to let me in. I knew what to expect, so it was okay. When you shower, it gets the entire toilet room soaked.

Free water is also big plus and since they are in cluster C, Lift is not much congested unlike cluster A and B It took me long time to check in. the WhatsApp number they provided, nobody is answering.
