Checking in was quite a long wait due to only one person being at the desk and was on a long call. The location of the room was somewhat restrictive because of how it was in line with the restaurant to the degree that we could see what people were eating so we had to keep our curtains drawn

- Heidi (7/5): - Garten war sehr schön gepflegt, modernes Zimmer, Bar in Gehdistanz am Meer (gehört nicht zum Hotel) mit Live Musik. Abgeschieden, gefühlt im Nirgendwo, nicht direkt am Meer. Wir hatten kein heißes Wasser, es wurde aber von der Rezeption darauf reagiert.

- Beckett (10/5): Perfect for a few nights - We booked at short notice from the airport due to our flight mix up and we were 2 days early!. Having given up our rental car we wanted somewhere handy for the airport but with decent facilities. A taxi ride away at $30 US and 15minutes was perfect. We were greeted well on arrival and just had a short wait whilst the short notice booking was confirmed in the only room type available a 2 bedroom suite which was great and had there been 4 of us again would have been perfect as both rooms were with en-suite shower rooms. On site was a nice bar and restaurant looking over the pool area with sufficient sun loungers. Out of the rear of the property was a short walk to the beach and sea- it was really choppy though and we didn't venture in. Along from the beach was a surfers bar which offers happy hour everyday 5-6pm and live music at the weekends with reasonably priced nice food offered daily from 4pm ( we only had a snack as we dined at the hotel). Definitely will return for a short stay. Location was out on a limb and had we been staying longer certainly would have needed a vehicle- I did walk to Masseys in Oistins for basic essentials which was 3.5km away. Taxi from the hotel was twice the price as arriving- annoying- the taxi driver said the hotel set the prices.

- Julie (10/5): The hotel staff were warm and welcoming - nothing was too much trouble, they go above and beyond! The groundsmen also do - The hotel is beautiful - I liked the colonial style of the property and clean lines. The rooms are lovely but can be echoey and noisy by the stairwell - if there was a second internal door this would reduce the noise from outside and therefore not disturb your sleep or afternoon nap. The staff were outstanding - particular shout-out to Wanda and Tammy-Ann who are a serious asset to this or any company!! I liked the small touches of fresh hand towels at the pool in the afternoon along with the fruit sorbet! The location is off the beaten track, which is good in a way as the surroundings are quiet however you need a car to get to places. The pool is very small - I’d say it lends itself to an Adult Only hotel as when there are children and families in the pool it’s loud especially when the inflatables come out and therefore it isn’t so relaxing for everyone else. The layout of the hotel buildings also makes it acoustically noisy which doesn’t help and especially with other guests are using personal speakers around the pool and on balcony’s (not everyone wants to listen to other peoples music!) Also, it’s not beach facing which is a shame so not much of a view - there is a small beach which is a short walk but doesn’t lend itself to a relaxing beach experience. There were also inconsistencies around the menu eg you’ll get different variations of the same food choice which can be disappointing and I was very surprised by the lack of fresh fruit juices and fruit at breakfast, especially at what a consider a high end hotel - it’s not cheap to stay here and breakfast wasn’t included.

This was perfect for a short stay - a longer stay would probably require a car since it is far from groceries, restaurants, etc. Restaurant on site OK but few local options.

- James (6/5): Our flight was cancelled and this hotel was available for the night, had to hire cab. - Keith, Isaac, Jeff, and a few groundskeepers were very friendly and helpful. The landscaping is awesome. The sidewalks and pool area were very clean, the plants were healthy and the beds were neatly kept. A++ on the grounds and landscaping. For the price, the food should be A LOT better. Food doesn't need to cost that much. A 6 oz burger for $22.50 US ? We got some over priced shrimp tacos, there was one cold grilled shrimp on each taco that had been sliced longitudinally after grilling, sigh. I'd expect better even at average prices. If I were staying there I would try to bring food and beverages.

- Emily (3/5): Disappointing, expensive, inadequate and glad to leave. - The hotel is quite isolated so it was quiet and it’s a pretty place. We paid for a deluxe king suite with a sea view. The shower didn’t work properly, water pressure was so bad the toilet cistern didn’t fill up so had to flush toilet with a bucket of water and the bathroom tap wasn’t very good. Shower temperature and pressure fluctuated a lot. Very loud noises from the pipework late at night. Food was absolutely terrible and we had to wait a long time for it. Expensive, bland, small portions. Took 3 hours for dinner for 2 people. Bar forgot the drinks order and it took 7 attempts to get the bill right. Most of the staff seemed unsure of what they were doing / not cheerful / not very outgoing or proactive. Would not recommend the hotel or the location. The beach isn’t very big and it had a lot of seaweed in. Much better places elsewhere on the island.

It was Indian food that was served. Everything taste excellent by the next day. The breakfast was excellent as well. Great service great people that know how to host guest thank you so much. Can't wait to visit you again. The Naan could've been cooked differently without less saturated fat if it was steamed or grilled, it will be better and less greasy. But overall, it was a great day. The bed was really comfortable. The showerhead needs to be cleaned in some of the interstice with a brush, so the water can flow in the whole showerhead.

- Hannah (10/5): - South Point Hotel is a gem. The landscaping is beautiful. The hotel is clean and the room was beautifully decorated. My family stayed in the 2-bedroom family suite and it was perfect for the family. Fully air conditioned, kitchenette, 2 bathrooms, living/ dining area and a balcony which gave us a good view of the garden. The pool is kids friendly and enjoyable. The full bajan breakfast was excellent.This hotel is quiet and away from the busy roads which is great for relaxation, wedding, remote work and family stays. The staff is helpful and polite. I would 100% recommend.

- Tam (8/5): Cute spot and nice - This is a lovely small ish outage hotel on the south of the island. It’s slightly remote in location but a 5 minute drive to Oistins. Based down a slightly rocky steep road I wouldn’t recommend a walk to the beach but it’s a small drive to Miami Beach just a few mins. The staff were friendly the rooms were clean and fresh. I was solo and felt very safe and the bar staff were darlings. Yes I would stay again. The tv in the room were a little too small but that’s a minor issue. Ooooh and the curtains. They were either black out or open which was a problem when I was getting changed because I was concerned someone could see. They could do with fixing that

The food at Driftwood was very expensive, but every dish was tasty and had me wanting more. Joy and Christina were sweethearts. Joy even helped me with my elderly mother. With the exception of the airport shuttle driver, your staff is phenomenal. Jean-Pierre and Michael are so kind. Everyone made sure we were well taken care of, grounds men included. Suggestion, put it in your policy to limit interactions between the airport shuttle driver and your guests. Carson is a scammer, fresh and will give the hotel a bad reputation. Other than that, I’ll definitely tell my friends and family and will patronize again. Thank you!

- Decory (10/5): South Point is Amazing! Thank you for your accommodation. - Mostly the staff. They were very welcoming and accommodating with each interaction. Persons such as Michael and Shane were on top of things when needed also the rastafarian guy who took care of the grounds gave me and my guest one of the freshly picked coconuts which really added to our experience of the island lifestyle. I highly recommend this place and will continue to stay here each time I visit the island. This isn't a dislike more of a very small inconvenience. Which is; after a particular time very late into the evening/early morning staff is unavailable, there are security guards available only. A few times I found myself knocking to get into the hotel which wasn't a smooth experience but again this wasn't a major issue just not a fluid transition from outside to my residence.

Lunchtime food menu was excellent, complimentary freshly grilled prawns from the chef. Leanne took the time to give us recommendations of places to visit in the East coast.

The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. We thoroughly enjoyed the sip and paint. This resort is Definitely family friendly. We felt very safe at this location. The restaurant was also delicious. The only negative is that you can’t get any food after 10pm. With being so remote this was a bit of an issue for my group. The only other issue we had was the lighting that led to the neighboring bar, Surfers Bay. The path was not well lit and one of my friends broke a shoe on the rocky path. Other than that, I highly recommend. 9/10
- rebeccao0 (8/5): Great staff - Nice little hotel, great staff, and wonderful pool. We enjoyed our time at South Point Hotel. The location is close to the ocean but not the beach. Rocky coastline with a pretty view. I am glad we had a car and would have felt very isolated had we not. I probably wouldn't stay here again only because we ended up driving quite far every day to get to the beaches, but like I have mentioned, the hotel and staff are great. The restaurant at the hotel is very good. Surfers Bay had a fun restaurant and was walking distance, right next door, with live music on several nights and a bonfire.

- Francesca (10/5): A true gem. - This was an unexpected trip as we had been affected by the Heathrow shut down. This is a wonderful hotel with great rooms, facilities, food and staff. Everyone was amazing. It is 2 mins walk to a small beach where one can paddle and watch the wind/kite surfers. A short 5 minute trip taxi to Oistins and the two beaches there, one of which is very calm. We could not have been more well treated. It is a very new hotel, fresh, clean and extremely comfortable. Excellent value for money. A real treat. Honestly, there is nothing we didn't like.
- Mccurdy (9/5): Overall very nice hotel - Roads poor to get to hotel, but once you arrive lovely landscape and in general very nice hotel. Overpriced, but this is Barbados for a nice hotel in peak season. Hotel is closer to the airport but not near primary sightseeing, and lack of hotel running their shuttle meant we ended up being crammed into a minibus that we had asked the hotel to call for us, with too many other hotel guests being overcharged to get to the airport, with cases piled everywhere, literally paying over double normal rate.

The hotel grounds look great, and so does the restaurant. We went here for dinner and it was a very relaxed, quiet atmosphere. The service was friendly and professional. The food was excellent, as were the drinks. The prices were alright. I would definitely recommend this place for dinner.

We were stranded at Barbados Airport at 3.00 am we booked this hotel and were permitted to check in at 7.30am. Positives: quiet, great restaurant, clean rooms, kitchenette in room with coffee maker, cost effective Negatives: would have preferred cotton sheets, a more comfortable bed, beach is 2 minute walk but NOT a swimmable beach ... you need to go to the other side of the island for cleaner, calmer waters. A note about the island: they take USD but only give change in BBD - best to go to the island with BBD rather than USD.

- Mark (9/5): Lovely stay at a beautiful hotel - The staff at the South Point Hotel reception were great, really helpful and friendly. The general vibe of the hotel was also very nice, it never felt overcrowded, it was always easy to get a sun lounger. The restaurant was also good, which was nice if you didn't want to go out for the evening. Spotlessly clean everywhere with lovely landscaping that was also maintained perfectly. Rooms were well appointed with everything that you need. Sometimes the service at the bar and restaurant could be a little slow and were also pretty expensive. The hotel is also in quite a remote area with very little within walking distance and unfortunately the hotel arranged shuttle service was very expensive compared to alternatives. We found out how and where to pick up a local minibus which was very good value and highly recommended if you want to visit Bridgetown, for example. For a hotel that has aspirations of being a top class venue, I think the addition of a gym and availability of spa treatments would be a great bonus.
- Larry (10/5): - I love everything about this place, from when I checked in, from the room, the people at the restaurant in the bar, the rooms itself, and all that. The biggest con that this place has, it’s that is too far from most of the things going on in Barbados, such as savvy on the bay, brownes Beach, Boatyard and everything else that goes on, on the west beach. HOWEVER, you’re only 24BBD away from Oistins Fish market so it’s definitely a blessing to be close and not a far drive to be away from. This hotel is more of a secluded location and more slowed down. Other than that, I will come back and rent out this hotel again in the future.

- louisep231 (10/5): Peaceful and relaxing hotel. - Loved this hotel. If you’re looking for a peaceful and relaxing stay this is the place for you. My husband and I stayed for 5 nights. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Must give a special mention for Fabian and Whitley. We ate several times in the restaurant and the dishes were always flavoursome and beautifully presented. Our room (garden and sea view) was spacious and clean with an extremely comfortable king bed. A car is a must. Saying that the hotel does provide a shuttle/taxi service. We didn’t use it because we had a car. Thank you everyone for a wonderful holiday.

- seaotter76 (10/5): Welcome to paradise! - This small boutique hotel is an absolute delight! From the introductory rum punch and friendly smiles to a fabulous dinner and a lovely room, we could have been more enchanted. The location is off by itself, away from the hubbub, which we loved. Our ocean view room was lovely, very clean, with modern furnishings all well arranged. Be aware that the hotel is on a bluff; one can walk down to the beach, but the rocks make it unlikely for swimming just there. Our best surprise was our dinner at the onsite restaurant. The special Valentine's Day menu gave us choices; there were a number of courses, and each was delicious and perfectly presented. I was given a long stemmed rose as we entered, the atmosphere is casual island perfect, and the food was just outstanding! I wish we lived closer so we could dine there often!! We met the amazing chef, who obviously loves his job!
