Guest Reviews
- Aleksandra (8/5): Property is perfect for a layover if you are dead tired - Great location, the space is clean and it was pretty easy to do check just need a few minutes of patience Is was super noisy. Surprisingly no noise from rooftop bar, but a lot from outside and hall/neighbors.
Also water was running loudly through the pipes all night.
And room is veryyyyyyy tiny. We didn’t have any luggage, but not sure where would put it.
- Ivaylo (6/5): - Clean. Location was OK, very noisy - there is bar on the roof and building site across the street, windows without any soundproof, someone tried to insulate them whit toilet paper. Narrow room.
- Nicholas (5/5): Good for young single or small travellers on a budget. - The 1 staff person both at night and in the morning were very helpful and very nice.
It was newer and very clean. It was too small for 2 large adults. Bunk style bed hard for a senior to access. Very small sink. Construction on new building next door was only mentioned after booking and was unfortunate.
- Sam (9/5): - Clean, comfortable, quiet All good.
- Lee (8/5): -
- Arthit (6/5): -
- John (7/5): Fine, but check-in spoiled it. - Check-in was horrendous. I had a few hours at that location and spent over half an hour trying to check in.
- Thabitha (9/5): Superb - Everything we needed for our layover in singapore.
- Oshita (10/5): Exceptional - I did the short stay. Very easy in and out
- david (10/5): - Good option for an overnight stay and plenty of options for food and drinks around the location.
- Sohkim (8/5): Very good -
- Lou (7/5): Good -
- Alysha (3/5): Nope - The location is superb. If you're wanting to eat breakfast at the Maxwell Centre, it's the place to stay. The sheets were clean, but the bathroom was small, moldy and dirty!
The room is actually half a room because your bed is 20cms off the ground, with the ceiling at around 140cm off the ground. The hallway was the full 2.7m. So you had to crawl into bed.
There was no facilities really, not even slippers for the dirty ground.
- Hubert (9/5): Superb -
- Jeremy (9/5): Very comfortable and a great location. - We were in Singapore for a single night to break up a long haul flight from Europe to Australia, so a goood night’s sleep was essential, as well as a quick exploration of Singapore before getting some shut-eye. Very secure, close to China Town, very comfortable. I will come again! Check in was the only challenge as the use of the app for pre-check-in was difficult to understand. This is counterbalanced by the excellent help from staff, which despite being via chat on the app was fast, friendly and effective in dealing with those issues. Another point for non-residents is that booking a taxi without a local number appears to be impossible. As this hotel is not near Changi Airport, if you have a plane to catch you need to call a taxi company for immediate pickup rather than booking ahead. (You could also try the train system, which we didn’t because we were there for so little time and didn’t want to risk missing our onward flight).
- Lee (8/5): Very good - Quiet Need to climb up raised up bed. Aircon cannot adjust
- Yimin (2/5): Very poor -
- Aaron (9/5): Superb -
- Adnaan (10/5): Nice compact room - Small but convenient room. Perfect for a quick stop over. Room had its own toilet and shower that had good pressure.
Check in was easy using the app.
Building also has a shared kitchen which made in convenient.
Would stay again
- Tomasz (10/5): Good value-price ratio -
- Amanda (6/5): Pleasant -
- Estelle (7/5): Good -
- Deborah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wui (3/5): Poor -
- Paul (5/5): Inconvenient check in, overpriced budget accommodation. - Location is ok. 5mins walk from MRT. However would not be good in rain. The online check in process is a nightmare. They want you to download an app. App seemed like a scam asking for all sorts of permissions and even a payment. I stopped trying to use the app.
Then tried the link provided several times. It just hung and wouldn't let me input reference number.
Then tried booking.com message. No response within 24hrs.
Then tried the WA number provided and finally got a response.
A HUGE AMOUNT OF TIME AND EFFORT AND STILL NOT CHECKED IN.
Meant to be smart and convenient. No way.
Then i arrive 1h before my designated check in time of 8pm. No offer for early check in (i doubt very much room was occupied or that housekeeping would be working at 7pm on a Saturday night).
I wanted to leave bag and was told i could use locker but needed my own padlock! SERIOUSLY!
The room itself was small. A queen size bed that is against the wall and can only be accessed from one side. Hope that person on inside doesn't need to use the toilet at night. Mattress unsurprisingly heavily sagging on the side you enter bed.
The room was tiered and shabby.
Toilet/bathroom very small. Half width of bed.
Then to top things off the thinnest toilet paper i have ever encountered in my life. So cheap.
All the above is 100% accurate. If you are ok with that then you won't have any problems or complaints but for $150per night for a 14hour stay i think you could do a lot better elsewhere. Try the Nuve Urban for starters.
Finally a friend told me there is a nice bar on rooftop. I would liked to have checked it out but was completely unaware of its existence. Another downfall of remote check in.
- Lee (7/5): Good - Table corner has loose longe wood, create danger as near bed.
Bathroom is small and metal bar is near soap dispenser which result hand hit metal bar while reaching out to the soap dispenser
- Martina (8/5): Very good -
- Davinia (10/5): Exceptional - Hip Locatiom.. With many watering holes, lively Night Life. Location is near to Tanjong Pagar MRT..
Supermarket - NTUC... Various Restaurants to suit my budget. And a popular Maxwell Jawker Center nearby.
.
- Matteo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Yongxian (5/5): Passable - Simple E check-in Private Bathroom lights and main showerhead not working. Equipped with LG TV which expects you to pay or watch long ads to do a video cast. Lack toiletries.
- Jasmine (4/5): Can see the charm but not worth the price - Located in a trendy part of singapore and easily accessible by public transport and plenty of amenities and attractions, but that means to expect rowdiness and the bar noises are licensed to operate until midnight, followed by construction noise the next morning at 8am.
Clean premise but maintenance could be improved - visible wear and tear in the sink and corners of the rooms/bath.
As a petite human, it was already very tiny (especially bathroom) so recommended for solo travellers. Bed was cosy and comfortable but the a/c was kinda warm even at the lowest setting. Corridor was much cooler than the room itself.
Lighting design/mapping could be better! A lot of unnecessary, inappropriate lights or switch toggles that arent intuitive but thats a story for another time as it is still functional overall.
Private cabins may have top bunks so remember to request for lower bunks if climbing into bed is a problem for you!
Staff was very helpful via whatsapp and in-person but i guess they cant help with the noise and provisions within the compound.
App use for check in and key use was a bit buggy and ill-explained/non-intuitive - crashes and digital key doesnt open the doors as easily or seamlessly, although pre-registration was convenient here.
Good to be green, so beware to convenience travellers: Toothbrushes, single-use personal care items and single use water bottles not provided. Hairdryer, facial tissue, toilet paper and shower toiletries provided.
- Ming (3/5): Badly designed room piping or plumbing. - Location Constant water flow in the bathroom's pipes disrupting sleep.
- Chris (3/5): Cheap, clean, comfortable bed. But terrible plumbing prevented sleep. - It was cheap, bed was comfortable and it was clean. The shower drain in the bath had water draining past it for the entire night, it sounded like someone was having a shower in our bathroom the whole time. Given the door to the bathroom is sliding glass and doesn't seal it made it impossible to sleep.
- Marius (8/5): One night in Singapore - Property was very clean. Staff we didn’t see, but communication via WhatsApp was superb. Location was very convenient - close to metro station to airport. It is in China town, so food is no problem. We were two and it was not very convenient to go through each other as the room is very tiny. Also it is not comfortable to go to the bed in “second” flour.
- Mariah (10/5): - This hotel is the perfect place for a night in Singapore. Awesome location in walking distance to marina, or quick trip on the mrt wherever you need to go. The hotel itself is a pretty cool experience. The rooms are small, but so cozy. 10/10
- Jean-paul (2/5): Couldn’t sleep - It’s well located in a nice neighborhood There’s a construction right in front of our window and the noise begins at 7 am so it’s impossible to sleep + the shower makes a continuous noise of water dripping which can drive you crazy.
- Gabrielle (9/5): Great location for a one night transit stop in central Singapore - Great location, really close to the train station. The hotel is on a beautiful street which I have never come across in Singapore before. Relatively easy to walk to Marina Sands and other tourist areas from this spot. The room itself was perfect for a one night stay. Check-in. Once I reached the stage where you add your passport photo, I couldn't go any further as there were no directions showing. The person I was travelling with had a larger phone, when they went through the process the buttons for 'Next' or 'Back' showed up. I needed to scroll down the page that showed the passport page to find the buttons but with no indication to do so, it didn't occur to me and created a delay in checking in.
- Jordan (6/5): Pleasant -
- Pramod (8/5): Very good -
- Hanzhi (4/5): Disappointing -
- Chin (9/5): Superb -
- Emmy (8/5): Very good -
- Snehil (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alice (10/5): Amazing. Great for short stay - seamless checkin experience. Room was clean and comfy :) would be perfect if there was toiletries provided.
- Arada (8/5): Very good - Very comfortable bed. Clean room. I could hear the water running from the bathroom (shower drain?) almost all the time during my stay.
- Windy (5/5): Passable -
- Iesha (8/5): Very good -
- Ro (8/5): Very good -
- Colm (3/5): Poor -
- Denis (9/5): All you need for a short stay - It is really small room with a bed space under other rooms bed :) But it was clean and had all the you need for a short rest. As we had a good deal for a late check in from 8 p.m. There is cosy bar upstairs and restaurant on the first floor. Not far from hotel there is local food market with outstanding Asian meal. It is little to small, but still it is ok for a business travellers or just for a short stay
- Frederik-wilhelm (8/5): Very good - Great location / price - Check-in was difficult (had to download app, did not work properly, but staff was helpful)
- small room (no space for suitcase)
- Yih (6/5): Budget hotel in the middle of CBD. Design of room is not ergonomic or safe though. - The location is great, very central. Lots of restaurants and bars around. The bunk bed is a death trap! It's so dangerous to go up and down the bed. Zero amenities, not even toothbrush. Not very clean.
- De (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sebastian (8/5): Very good - Facilities are very modern and clean. Room is compact, but comfortable. Does not feel cramped. They asked us to check in through an app, which didn't work for us. After a while, we were able to ask a hotel staff member in the lobby to check us in manually, but it took a long time, not very convenient.
- Kai (6/5): It's okay for a single night stay. - Good location. Room was small.
- Chan (10/5): Exceptional - Toilet was a little too small. like really small.
- Edmond (10/5): Exceptional -
- Audrey (8/5): No further comments - No further comments No further comments
- Sherwyn (9/5): Superb -
- Devi (8/5): Very good -
- Edmond (3/5): Poor -
- Sakina (9/5): The room was really clean, and all the needed facilities and toiletries were provided. Really nice for a short stay. - Room was clean and comfortable. The bed in particular was surprisingly comfortable with a good mattress and pillows. Had a bit of problem with checking in via the corridor door.
- Lim (10/5): Exceptional -
- Federica (7/5): Good - Bed was comfy. Location is great Rooms were very small with barely any space to move if in two. Prices are high as per Singapore standards and I find it really crazy that there are overnight and Day time stays so they can squeeze more out of a single room. Also the checkin process requires downloading an app if it’s after a certain time of the day.
- Tay (6/5): Pleasant -
- Aie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lee (8/5): Very good - App indicate early checkout timep
- Enriquez (10/5): Exceptional - Location Registration is tedious
- Florence (5/5): You learn from experience. I'd stay away for sure. - None I'm with my dad who is a senior citizen and we were shocked when the bed is high on top. You need to climb it using the table. We were fooled by the pictures. We were so tired to ask for another room. The checking in is another nightmare. Error after an error in the app.
- Anonymous (5/5): It was a short stay but seriously was not happy with the bathroom space - The location The instruction for self check in,
The bathroom was way too small, narrow, did not suit someone on the plus sized side..
- Andy (9/5): Superb -
- Aie (6/5): Pleasant -
- Tristan (10/5): Staying out has never felt more at home! - Comfortable, cozy and homely! I love co-living concepts, and this is perhaps the best of them I've gotten to stay in. The staff also responded prompty and informatively when I texted for some administrative aid, that is a huge plus! Was slightly disappointed to see no toothbrush in the toilet as I forgot to bring mine, but that's okay!
- Saralatan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lee (8/5): Very good -
- Mei (7/5): Good - It's located in is close to a subway station . There are also plenty of restaurants and bars nearby.
- Daniil (10/5): Convenient, modern, easy to get to bars, shops etc. - Very convenient for a short stay. I'm glad I chose to stay here instead of spending a night in the airport hotel. Shower cabin would be a bit too tight if I had a larger complexion.
- Abdul (10/5): Exceptional -
