- Kristīne (9/5): Good place for short stay - Location was great—close to several metro stations, a shopping mall, and plenty of nearby dining options. The internet was good in the lobby.
- Samuel (10/5): -
- john (7/5): It was okay it was a bit expensive for what it was. - It was clean and tidy There was no place for clothes they had to stay in the suite case. There was no Fridge.
- Uma (4/5): - The room looked okay until we had to use the facilities. The shower system looked efficient with multiple types of shower head but the water pressure could not be adjusted and one of the shower head was already broken. The charger points did not work. The room did not come with a phone as well. We had to go down to the reception for any requests.

- Justin (5/5): Lots of potential when done right. Good budget option in a cool part of Singapore. - I liked that it was central and walking distance to a lot of places. A glimpse into old Singapore in the style of the building which was really cool. The bed was comfortable and the desk was useful. The bathroom was small and serviceable. I liked the overall feel of the room. It was modernised. Windows were new. It could use a small fridge in the room. Only coffee (indocoffee which is basically glucose syrup and coffee flavouring) was provided. The water bottles were excellent. No view, just busy road. Couldn’t have windows open because of pollution. The windows are frosted and in the bedroom it has good curtain coverings. Behind one of the curtains it had not been dusted for quite some time. The shutters are not able to be closed properly thus allowing light leakage. This is problematic in the bathroom, as the bathroom door was frosted and the windows are frosted. The shutters blow around and blow open meaning it lets light in from the road and the restaurant next door. In fact the sign from the lemak place is blinding it’s so bright. Showerhead needs tightening.
- Gyatri (6/5): Pleasant -
- Levy (1/5): Shocking not pleasant. No sleep due to noise from guest into early morning hours. - The entryway had a dirty carpet as you walked towards the lift. The walls and floors were dirty, and there was rubbish in the hallways.
Boisterous people in the hallway are talking loudly at a very late hour and into the early hours of the morning. People in rooms on the phone after midnight are very loud.
Rooms are not soundproof; the room we had, you could not block out the light coming through the glass bathroom.
When you opened the door, it hit the bed.
No place to put a suitcase for two people, no fridge, no safe.
The room was clean, the bathroom was clean. The sink was loose in the bathroom.
The price was not cheap for 2 nights, we had two single beds.
- Nur (8/5): Very good - The wallpaper. The cleansing bar and colgate. The shower head set and theres bidet . Perfect Maybe a mini fridge in each room and the light attach to the wall can be use as night light to sleep. 🤗

- Praba (8/5): Very good -
- Nadeesh (8/5): Average. Good for short stays. But not best. - It is close to public transport. It’s renovating on these days. So we have to go a long way to find an elevator to go up. Doors and windows are opening to another anonymous building.

- Leomy (7/5): Well located a few steps from MRT station, convenient, cosy, with comfortable rooms. Friendly staff. - Location is very convenient, nearly walking distance to most interesting attractions in SG. MRT Lavender station is 10' walk.
Rooms are small but clean and well organized. Beds are comfortable.
Bathrooms are clean, with windows.
Strong WI-FI signal.
Receptionists are friendly and supportive. I was at this hotel few years back and it was better maitained then. Anyway it is an old hotel from 1938 which went through full renovation. I still love the vintage style it has on the main building and inside the rooms as well.

- Sitanggang (7/5): It was quite okay - I like the shower, the bathroom is okay, except the window placement is a bit weird, if opened it's directly open to the main road. Room is okay, bed is okay, amenities can be better, maybe add more snacks and tea instead of only 2 sachets of Indocafe. When I was staying they are still renovating. I paid $120, and it was a bit below of my expectation I didnt like the twin beds. I didnt like that they are renovating when I was staying. I didnt like that they only gave me 2 sachets of Indocafe. I didnt like the price.
- Elgine (8/5): Very good -

- Nadvi (1/5): Worst Night - Nothing. Worse experience. Black mold in the bathroom
Hair and dead mosquitos on the bed
The pillows had a sweaty smell.
A different room wasn't available. I stayed for one night but couldn't sleep due to poor condition.
Please refund.

- 金龙 (1/5): Bad - Two single beds together to be one bie bed, really bad, uncomfortable, inconvenient, always separate, bad
- Mshobaa (10/5): Superb - Excellent Nothing
- Galicia (7/5): Good - The bus stop and a convenience store is just on the other side of the street.
According to the staff, the construction is already complete which is a nice timing for our stay. The hallway is airconditioned but kind of creepy; however, there's a relief when you get to your room - it's nice.
Also, the cleaning staffs are doing a good job when you request for a clean up.
For those who did not receive their deposits back, just don't lose the slip, we got ours during the check out process.
Overall, it was nice and might consider rebooking during non-peak dates. There's a water leak going inside after a nice shower, not much but please consider this for improvement.
Also, it must be a strategic move but the price of the hotel significantly increased taking advantage of Taylor's concert. I'd recommend staying here during non-peak dates.
Lastly, consider putting refrigerators. You have to drag yourself to the convenience store if you want cold drinks or just take the provided tap-water-temperature like bottled water/s.

- Jean (7/5): Good -
- Nyobambo (7/5): Good -
- Sheila (5/5): There were no notice of hotel in the mid of renovating. During check out the staff dont event greet. - No room make up. Our room rubbish bin was not clean up, no make up room sign. No tv remote.
- Wan (7/5): Good -
- Dina (1/5): Very bad - I dont like at all, staff so rude knocking your room at the middle of the night, and staff also liar , they dont return my deposit. $50 the never call me even the manger never call bcos they said they will return, but never return . Not recommended for tourist or visitor to stay that hotel , very poor😡😡 Better not to put on booking that come or agoda, its not recommended
- Aisyqin (7/5): Good - Nice staff, easy check in and check out. Near to mrt.
Renovation work during my stay, but not so much noise
- Sudha (9/5): Superb -
- Clarissa (8/5): Very good -
- Asfarina (6/5): good - the tv bed & toilet
- Veronica (7/5): Our choices were limited as it was over New Years Eve - The Hotel is over the road from a 7 Eleven and walking distance from Little India and a couple of subway stops on different lines. The air con keeps the room cool even when it's off during the day. The room is incredibly small with barely enough room to walk around the bed to get to the bathroom. There is a small corner desk/shelf with no other storage. There are no hooks for your towels in the bathroom or on the back of the front door.
There is a good deal of construction happening at the Hotel which we were notified about after we booked, and just prior to our arrival.
We only requested the room be serviced once because the day they did, they removed our bar of soap and some other open mini toiletries didn't replace anything.
There is a $50SGD deposit required on check in which we weren't aware of prior to arrival. Wasn't an issue but make sure you get cash out before you get there, we only did by chance. Check in is slow and laborious with the staff in no great hurry to do anything.

- Robert (8/5): Affordable and comfortable stay in a historic hotel. - Recently refurbished with a large bed and a large bathroom with a good shower. Clean, tea, coffee, and kettle provided. AC worked well. Good location being in walking distance to MRT, City Square Mall, and Berseh hawker centre. About half an hour by taxi from the airport so good if you are just staying a night or two and have an early flight. The building dates back to the 1920s/30s and I had stayed some years ago. The refurbishment was clearly needed, but some of the character has been lost. Previously it had very sizable corner rooms--that appears not to be the case now.
- Wel (1/5): Bad -
- Lee (5/5): Passable -
- Hubert (6/5): Pleasant - Room was nice and clean. The location was perfect for me. The Ladies at the reception were always very helpful. The provided bathroom items were good.
Outstanding was the quite and very good working A/C. Due to the renovation the hotel entrance look very ugly. In the room it was not possible to place my luggage. I need to put it on the floor which was highly inconvenient. There were no towel hooks. Even the bathroom was big enough there were very limited space for placing my toiletteries. The room was very noisy. Especially when water was switched on in neighbouring rooms. The noise cancelling between the rooms was poor. I could hear the voices and noises from neighbouring room.
- Anonymous (3/5): Poor - Nothing Nothing comes in quality, and everything in photos are different. Also, elevator one day just stopped and two people got stuck
