- Angélique (8/5): Très beau logement et très bien placé - Le logement est idéalement placé (en face du musée d’histoire naturelle de Londres) et très bien décoré. Il y a de l’espace et c’est très facile d’y accéder. Hôtel très arrangeant pour une arrivée plus tôt que prévue. A noter que l’emplacement est bruyant (sur une rue très passante) pour 2 chambres sur 3 alors il ne faut pas craindre le bruit de la circulation. La propreté du logement était assez moyenne.

- Gemma (9/5): Very spacious, homely apartment with amazing views particularly of the Natural History Museum. - Great communication with the host. Very accommodating and quick to reply. Met us at the property and helped us with our luggage up the stairs, into the lift and into the apartment. Very friendly lady. Communication was great throughout our stay. The apartment is very spacious and it was amazing to have the view of the Natural History Museum out of every window! We settled in quickly and made it feel like home. It’s a perfect base for exploring the local museums on foot! It is on a busy road but we knew this before booking. Bring ear plugs if you struggle to sleep through traffic noise! It doesn’t come with any provisions like milk but there are plenty of shops within walking distance. Tea towels would have been helpful so bring your own if you plan to eat in.
- Ilia (10/5): Lovely stay for our family of four in beautiful South Kensington - It was a great stay overall! The apartment itself was very good. Loved high ceilings - about 4.5 m tall and the location is right across the natural history museum, so the view is excellent. We found it to be clean and cosy and quiet. Very close to grocery stores, bus stops and the tube. We walked a lot and if you love walking you can pretty much get to the most central locations by foot. The neighborhood is great, upscale and very safe. Also, the host accommodated us early - we asked because our flight arrived early in the morning. It was very nice of her. There were some small hiccups with wifi - it was not stable during our stay and also in the kitchen there was not enough utensils, but the host and the manager tried to help in a timely manner.

It’s in a lovely area, close to two tube stations, as well as supermarkets, restaurants, cafés, and museums, which made everything very easy for our family during our week-long stay. The apartment itself was comfortable and worked perfectly for us. Check-in and check-out were both very easy and smooth. We also really appreciated how responsive and helpful the host was throughout our visit, which made the whole experience stress-free. Overall, a great stay and we would happily come back. Highly recommended!

Easy check-in and check-out process. The host accepted our request to check in early which was appreciated. Communication with host was good as well. Served with lift to all floors, although there are quite some steps before getting to the lift so you still need to carry heavy suitcases up and down stairs until you get to the lift. The property had an issue with hot water. The hot water was finishing after 1 shower. We brought this to the attention, they sent someone to fix the issue but was fixed only for 1 day. And back to no hot water. In cold weather this was a drawback. The furniture is a bit run down with broken cupboard shelves, heater displays not working, etc. Mattresses very very soft. All bed linen had dirty spots. Only 2 glasses in the kitchen, no tea towels to dry dishes, kitchenware needs an upgrade. Washing machine works, tumble dryer doesn't. The electricity went off when we were there but we managed to re-switch on ourselves from the electricity main unit.

We had flat with balcony so nice view outside. Lots of drawers/closet space in bedrooms and bathrooms. Host was very quick to respond to texts and quickly brought over a portable ac for us. First impression was disappointing...steps up to flat were very dirty, carpet worn. Picture of living room sofa was not recent as pillows were very worn, stain on kitchen table, some dishes weren't washed, not enough towels and one had lipstick(?) stain, also some stains on sheets. Mattresses were awfully hard, springs sticking out. Balcony had chair but straps on it were completely ripped so couldn't use. Couldn't get heated towel bar to work, even after host gave me instructions.

- jackyzyb (3/5): - None Elysian House, South Kensington – Extremely Disappointing Experience We had a very unpleasant experience with this property. Despite having fully paid in advance, the host suddenly changed our accommodation location at the last minute, just one days before our arrival. This unexpected change caused serious disruption to our travel plans, additional transport costs, and a great deal of stress for our group. We had chosen Elysian House specifically for its location in South Kensington, close to Imperial College, but the alternative accommodation provided was completely different in location and quality, which made our stay extremely inconvenient. This situation also led to further financial losses, as we had to rearrange airport transfers and pay extra for transportation and meals. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience — especially considering we had trusted Booking.com and made full payment long in advance. I sincerely hope Booking.com will review this property’s reliability and ensure that other guests won’t face the same issue in the future.

- John (3/5): Disappointing - The location was excellent. The layout of the apartment was good and it was spacious and fairly quiet. The three stars I have given are for the location and size of the apartment. This property could be so much better than it is if it was properly maintained. It started badly as the host cancelled our first night just before check in. They claimed a ‘plumbing problem’ but when we arrived the following day, the cleaner was stripping the beds and said the guests had just left. We were able to stay in our previous accommodation for an extra night but I wouldn’t rent from this unreliable host again. The photos must be very old as the property is very shabby now, blinds falling down, lights not working, dishwasher barely functioning, poorly equipped kitchen (eg 4 mugs in a 3 bedroom apartment), washer drier didn’t dry, etc. The cleaner had done a reasonable job with the superficial cleaning but the walls and light switches were filthy, the grout in the bathrooms was mouldy, the entrance hall was filthy.

I booked one day earlier so I could have accommodation straight away as I was arriving very early from Australia and wanted to shower and rest if needed. Apparently there was an issue with the apartment even though I booked one day earlier? It wasn’t ready and needed to be cleaned. They put me in temporary accommodation while the apartment was cleaned then I moved - so an inconvenience after travelling 24 hours and very tired.

- Travis (2/5): - I have traveled quite a bit globally and this was without a doubt the worst stay that I've ever had. We booked a 4 bedroom with 3 queen beds and 1 single bed for our stay. The 1 single bed was actually a cot with sheets and not what was shown in the pictures. When we brought this up, it wasn't fixed. It was obvious that the room hadn't been cleaned before our arrival because the dinner table and kitchen counters had dirt and dust all over them. The heaters weren't working in three of the four rooms in the apartment. This was finally fixed after a couple of days. The microwave didn't work so they had to bring a replacement. The worst of all were the showers. It four days before they fixed our showers correctly after having to suffer with freezing cold and scolding hot water in the showers. They came out the first two times to fix them and it wasn't corrected. Then they changed the water pump, still didn't work. Finally on the fourth day they changed the thermo and it finally worked. Communication sucked, the owner and the property manager weren't helpful. The owner even told us if it was him he would checkout and stay somewhere else. But they still refused to give us a refund. I could not say all that I want on this review because of the character limit but I would stay far away from this place. It is a scam and ripoff.

- Nuha (4/5): Needs some renovations - I have stayed in this apartment for 2 weeks; so will try to summarize the pros and cons of my experience in the following points: Pros: - The location is good near to South Kensington station where you can reach to every where in London within few minutes of underground transfer. - The apartment is very spacious. It has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a living room with a full kitchen, dishwasher and washing machine. We were 3 people and enjoyed the spacious apartment where we had the luxury of cooking our own meals, make our favorite coffee or tea, and wash clothes when needed. - The price was fairly low considering the high season which was November. However, there were some negative points to my stay that I wish were seriously taken into consideration to make our stay convenient which were as following: Cons: - There was a major electricity issue in the entire building and experienced electricity outages when plugging in appliances like kettles or iron!! (These appliances were offered by the apartment). - The responsiveness of the admin is extremely SLOW. We tried to contact the admin to get help with the electricity outages with no luck! We had to figure out how to turn on the electricity on our own. The response came next day! - We had our own coffee kettle (that works on any international plug) which was burned due to the electricity issue. The kettle was new and had to purchase another one in London to enjoy our stay. Unfortunately, we didn’t get any kind of compensation for these issues! - They promised to fix the electricity issue the next day. But no one came until the 4th day of our stay and they did nothing! - The dishwasher leaves the dishes stained and we had to manually rewash them! - The apartment was clean to some extent but you can see some dirt on the heaters, the lamps, etc. I had to buy some cleaners to clean the bathroom heaters so we can hang our towels. - The bed linens, towels, sofas and rugs were stained and not very clean. - The water faucets in the bathroom and kitchen are leaking and need replacement. - The windows need sound insulation specially the bedroom on the main street. We couldn’t have a good night sleep due to traffic noise. - I wish they offered slippers as the floors were very cold. - I also wish that they offered tea bags and coffee machine to make our stay convenient. Overall, if you decided to stay in this apartment, you will have the essentials but keep in mind the electricity issue and bring with you whatever you need to make your stay convenient. Personally, I don’t think that I will return to this apartment again!

- Yurie (2/5): - とても四つ星だとは思えませんでした。 もう2度と泊まりたくないです。 このホテルに宿泊を検討している方は、別のホテルを探すことをオススメします。 【宿泊施設】 キングベッド2つにシングルベッド2つの部屋を予約しましたが、シングルベッドのうちの１つはエキストラベッドでした。であればそれをホテル説明に書いてほしかったです。 また、シーツやマットレスは毛玉だらけで、浴室はカビ臭く、洗濯機はカビだらけで、キッチンの蛇口は壊れてグラグラしていました。床板や巾木は外れていて、カーテンレールも壊れていてカーテンを開けることができない窓がいくつかありました。備え付けの暖房が壊れている部屋もありました。 用意されている食器も汚く、使う前に全て漂白するところから始めました。2バスルームなのにドライヤーも1つかなく、全てが必要最低限でした。 セルフチェックインで部屋の前に設置されているダイアルボックスに鍵が入っており、直前にオーナーからダイアルボックスの番号が教えられるのですが、番号は固定で都度変更はしておらず、防犯レベルが低いと感じました。私がチェッカインした時は、ダイアルボックスの数字がそのままになっており、ボタンを押せば開くようになっていました。 壁は薄く、他の部屋の声は音はよく聞こえます。 共用の階段の踊り場には常にタオルやシーツなどの洗濯物が山のように放置されていてとても邪魔でした。 【コミュニケーション】 エクスペディアに記載されているホテルの電話番号はいついかなる時も絶対に繋がりません。 メッセージの返信も遅いです。 また、緊急時のホテルの対応はとても不親切です。 私たちは6人で3ベッドルームの部屋を予約しましたが、ホテル側のミスで2ベッドルームの部屋に案内されました。 部屋が間違っていると電話とメッセージを送ったのですが返答は無く、しかたなく2ベッドルームの部屋に6人で宿泊することになりました。 翌日、突然清掃の女性が部屋に来て、この部屋は次の客が来るので今すぐ部屋を出ろと言われました。 新しく案内された部屋のダイアルボックスの番号やWi-Fiのパスワードは教えてもらえず、全て自分たちで対応しなければなりませんでした。 私は今までこんなも不親切でこんなにも粗悪なホテルに宿泊したことがないなと思っています。

- Rosanna (7/5): Great for groups/families in a central location but details need improving - Great location, friendly employees, spacious, clean, good appliances, TVs with programming Several things missing or not working in apartment - washing machine/dryer not working, coffee machine broken (they replaced it), light bulbs missing, no cutlery, no hair dryer. There was a willingness to help but we got tired of asking so made do. Seems to be a water leak issue pervasive through the building. Our last night there, the family above it had children running and jumping so loudly the chandlier was shaking from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. If you get the wrong neighbours, it could be a problem.
