San Ignacio is run down so this place fits in. cool building. spacious rooms. backpacker comfort level . I left my room at 820 AM and caught the 830 bus to Belize city with all my luggage a few blocks away
- Barbara (8/5): - Our room was very spacious and clean; bed was comfortable. Staff was helpful and friendly. There is a nice upper porch with chairs although they are right in front of other rooms so you could be disturbing others if you are out there. Staff carried my luggage up the steps. A light breakfast of bread, peanut butter, jelly, fresh fruit and brewed coffee and tea were provided. It is located on a busy street with many choices for dining with a bar just on the corner.

While it may not be a luxury hotel, it offers a charming and comfortable stay that perfectly suited my needs. (Safe place to stay, a warm, good bed, and a shower). The location is fantastic, placing you within easy reach of all the exciting adventures the area has to offer. The owner, a truly kind and welcoming person, was incredibly helpful with local tips and recommendations. She is a lovely, friendly person. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and I appreciated the reliable Wi-Fi. The included breakfast of homemade bread, fresh fruit, and squash juice was a lovely touch. While there was occasional noise from the nearby bar (karaoke night), it came to an end around 12am/midnight. Overall, Arnold's Guest House provides excellent value for money and a warm, authentic experience. I highly recommend it to fellow travelers seeking a comfortable and affordable base for their San Ignacio adventures!"

- Luther (10/5): - San Ignacio is a great town in Belize. This property is easily within walking distance to almost the entire town. I'd absolutely recommend Arnolds. They have a small limited restaurant on property. So if you don't feel like doing out you can eat on property, which is a great benefit.

They gave us recommendations in the area, had a beautiful breakfast with fresh bread from the market and fresh juice, and even let us use their microwave for our leftovers! Thank you for everything!!

We highly recommend the Ajaw Chocolate store’s experience and the Cahal Pech Mayan ruins, both of which are in walking distance.

- Chadina (10/5): - This is a great location, it’s very close to restaurants and we were able to hike to a nearby ruins. The property owners very helpful and accommodating with transportation, excursions and info on the area. Something light is provided in the morning for breakfast which was nice.

It is located in the center of town so you have many options to eat. Coffee and toast were a nice gesture in the morning. If you are looking for clean, convenient and cheaper place, I would recommend to stay here.

- Ian (6/5): Outdated but clean - The pictures make the room look a bit nicer than it is in real life. Service is very great, and the rooms are clean, but the building is quite outdated. There is a great view of the town from the roof though!

CLEAN, affordable, comfortable (AC worked great), convenient (location was perfect for walking to restaurants/Happy Hour and the tours picked me up right at the door!) - Stephanie (10/5): - Simple studio-type hotel in the heart of San Ignancio. There were no frills but that is exactly what we were looking for as we did not plan to spend much time in the room. But at the same time, they serve coffee, fruit and toast every morning and have extra little things you might need (beach towels to take on a tour, etc.) The ladies working at the hotel were so friendly and very helpful when one of our tours got goofed up! We would definitely not hesitate in recommending Arnold's Guest House to anyone looking for a place in San Ignacio.

The rooms are clean and comfortable, with hot showers, and cool AC. They offer coffee, toast, and fresh fruit in the morning. Annie the manager is absolutely amazing! She booked an ATM tour for us on super short notice and helped us get to the Guatemalan border for the best price. If you are looking for a comfortable place to stay in San Ignacio I highly recommend Arnold's. We hope to come back sometime soon. Thank you Annie!!
- Richard (6/5): - Very limited parking, the room was sparsely furnished, no table or comfortable chairs, the property is very old and dated and run down. But for the price it was hard to beat. Everything was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. This is a developing country, and we didn't expect five star accommodation.
- Wayne (6/5): - The building is old, with basic amenities however the location is good for walking around the town and getting to the restaurants. Most tours picked up at the guest house as well, this is convenient. It is a good idea to check with the guest house before booking any tours, in case they can get a lower price. The staff were super friendly and this made a big difference on the stay.

- Persio (8/5): Bem simples e com bom preço - Quarto muito grande e confortável. Cama muito confortável e king size. Roupa de cama muito ruim. Não há café da manhã, mas eles fornecem gratuitamente chá, pão e margarina de manhã. Boa água quente no chuveiro. Não há cofre, mas há gaveta com chave. Bom frigobar no quarto. Bom ar-condicionado. Iluminação fraca. Como a cidade é pequena, está bem próximo ao centro e às atrações. Toalhas um pouco gastas, mas ainda usáveis. Wifi com baixa velocidade, mas sinal forte.
- Donna (10/5): - Conveniently located just up the hill from the Saturday market, bus station, visitor centre, local travel agencies and great restaurants. Reasonably priced so you can spend your money on great food instead. Simple but good breakfast of coffe,tea, fresh local fruit, toast, PB and J. Lovely balconies overlooking the town of San Ignacio. Just up the hill is an excellent educational centre based on the production of chocolate and further up is the Mayan ruin of Cahal Pech, very well exhibited, clean and if you arrive before 9 am you will have all to yourself before the tours arrive. The guest house has a small restaurant which serves surprisingly good local fare. The staff are helpful , can arrange tours and are very friendly. We stayed 4 nights in an air conditioned room. With good beds and a good shower with new towels when requested. Not fancy but a good place to rest after a day’s exploring. Thank you Annie and family!
- Harrison (10/5): - Everything at Arnold’s was great, especially the ladies on the front desk! Nothing was too much trouble and we had a great time laughing and joking whenever we crossed paths. They were super helpful when the lock broke on our first try, and moved us immediately to another room no questions asked. The area is very safe and easily walkable from the main parts of town, and located well for the walks to Cahal Pech, chocolate tour and the Iguana Sanctuary. They can help with tours and shuttles onwards to other places too! Overall we can’t wait to visit again
