• Szu Mei (7/5): Budget friendly for backpackers. Not suitable for elderly nor with kids - Location was perfectly good in the heart of Orchard. Amenities were easy to find. Sheltered 10mins walk to Somerset Mrt. Very dim. Not enough proper lighting in the room. Only blue striped lights.

The shared toilets and showers need to be cleaned more often. There are people who clearly don’t understand cleanliness. The pantry too needs to be cleaned more often. The staff need to be more aware of the common areas.

This accommodation is utilitarian; but I lived 12 years on a narrow boat and do a lot of camping, so well used to utility accommodation! Just deal with it. That said, this location in Orchard with bars and restaurant selection just out the front door was great. AC control kept switching off on a timer and UI was impenetrable to fix it.

• Clara (7/5): - It was easy to check in and out. There are some restaurants and bars right in front of the door. Shared bathroom seems to be quite new, but already broken.

• Le (3/5): - The receptionist was really helpful and friendly. He explained almost everything based on what we needed . The room is in a bad condition, everything was falling down and the towels are damn dark dirty.

The beds being on a raise platform puts the occupant close to the ceiling. And right at the corner 30cm away are spider webs. Surely the cleaner changing the sheet would have seen it. The tables even have oily handprints on it from previous occupants.
• Luke (6/5): - Location overlooks some nice open-air restaurants and bars, so can be noisy at night which didn't bother me but something to consider. Several malls next door, convenient area for shopping and eating. Clean however air conditioning in my room reported that it needed a filter change and the room was slightly musty. Overall good location and value though. Staff are awesome.

The restroom ate disgusting, smell like a restroom from a bus station. They don’t be bother to clean either. It’s not a place to stay if you don’t feel comfortable on climb a slim latter to go to the bathroom

Finding the hotel was not straightforward and the taxi driver had a very hard time finding it. I am very grateful for their kind assistance. The venue is smoky and dirty - the showers and communal areas were not hygienic and made the photos online appear a little deceiving.

(used condom found on the floor one day). Was told the showers are cleaned twice a day, which is a blatant lie! 3. Soap not regularly refilled, so ended up buying my own. 4. Room overlooking the court with all restaurants very loud at night. poor window isolation 5. Noisy A/C drainage, leading to poor sleeping quality

• Agus (4/5): This is a decent place to stay in Singapore considering the price and location. - I think the location is very good, close to public transport and malls. Although the location itself is on the top of bars, the noise didn't disturb me at all. There're so many ants on my door frame at the time i came. And the lighting in the room can be improved a little bit, so dark i can't even read on the couch, maybe they can put additional light under the bunk bed. And since they only prepare shared bathroom, please add more hangers on the door.

None of the female showers were working and people were smoking in the male toilets.The building needs to be completely stripped out and refurbished with a proper package air conditioning system installed.

Very accessible to affordable restaurant and malls along orchard and MRT. My bad that I didn't noticed that the toilets and bath are shared. But it was dirty and stinky. Not well maintained. ( no exhaust) Water piping like Faucets and shower heads are not maintained. Mostly worn out and almost dismantled. Very strict on their policy about No smoking. but our neighbour room was smoking. No detector or might not working.

We had booked a room and opted for the shared bathroom facilities, so for those looking for the rooms with private bathrooms, you'll need to scroll to another review. Our room was clean and had the most comfortable mattress, and a very convenient small sofa and desk for our use. To those who are looking at the shared facilities and are unsure - do not fret! They were clean, well kept, toilets had bidet facilities for those requiring it, shower pressure was fantastic, and complementary shampoo and shower gel is in the shower cubicles, along with a hair dryer by the sinks. The hotel's location on Orchard Rd is brilliant for convenience with public transport and walking. The staff were incredible - to the gentleman who handled our check-in/out, thank you so much! You were so warm and kind to us, I feel terrible to have not gotten your name to be able to give you a personal shout out! To Arena upper management, he was working the 21-22 Nov, is a credit to you and I hope he is acknowledged for his diligence! I believe I am going to become a regular with this chain as my partner & I have had nothing but wonderful stays with them! We had stayed Arena's other premise in Bugis last year (2023), this year we were only staying in Singapore for one night and opted to try their Orchard premises in Cuppage Terrace as it was much closer to where our evening plans were located. We have raved about this chain endlessly to all our friends!

• Ang (2/5): Very poor - We liked the friendliness of the staff and the good location of the hotel. As its quite near the city centre and shopping. As it was an esports gaming hotel, we expected being able to use the computers for rental and play, however many of them were broken and unable to be used. The photo showing a computer in the room is not true either, as our room had an empty desk. There was no tv within our room as well.

• David (7/5): Great place for a short stay. - This location was close to both the MRT and bus stops. Great for getting around. It’s also right next to a mall. The WiFi was also very good. I was able to do zoom calls while using other software with no drops in the calls. The price is the best for this level of quality. The shared bathrooms had a really bad smell each time I went in. They had a fan that I assume was to help the smell. The bed rails for the bed on the second floor also seemed a bit low where it could be dangerous to fall off. Also there isn’t much light that comes into the room.

• Madeline (7/5): Decent for the price, and you get what you paid for! - I liked the location and that it was pretty central to the subway and other tourist attractions. I had a private room, which was pretty comfortable, and I felt it was decent amount of space for all of my stuff. The A/C felt strong, and the beds were very comfy. Although I liked the location, it was in the middle of a bustling nightlife courtyard, which I didn't mind, but I could see being pretty annoying for people trying to sleep. In addition, there were constantly a bunch of men just hanging out in the kitchen/lounge area (they seemed like workers and not tourists), and as a single woman traveling, it didn't feel like I could hang out in those common areas. Unfortunately, the women's bathroom was also right next to these common areas, and it wasn't great having to walk by them every time I wanted to use the bathroom.
